Lake house vacation rentals in Northeastern United States

This was my second time staying at this beautiful home on Copake Lake and this stay was even better than the first! We had two families of 5 and found the home to have plenty of space to all come together as well as spaces for quiet time alone. The road to the home was well maintained despite snowy/rainy/icy conditions. It was a breeze to get to and from Catamount ski resort. We cooked all of our meals in the home and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. My kids are now begging to go back during the summer when the lake is not frozen solid. We will definitely recommend this home to others and hope to be back again!

An idyllic place to stay on Cayuga Lake in Ithaca…If only we could have stayed longer! The home is beautifully decorated and well appointed, set up perfectly for a family getaway. Our 3yo was over the moon when she saw the adorable kids bedroom filled with books for every age and toys, including an Anna doll (IYKYK!). Ardys truly has thought of everything - from the basic toiletries like hair ties and Q-tips to board games and a fully stocked kitchen. This was a truly lovely stay with an incredibly helpful host.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful location with a stunning Lakeview. The property was spacious, neat, and well-maintained. The sauna room was a great addition, and the master bedroom with a jacuzzi made the stay even more relaxing. All the rooms were clean and comfortable, providing a perfect getaway. Rocky is an excellent host—responsive and accommodating. He came on short notice to fix any minor issues we had during the 10 day stay, which we really appreciated. Highly recommend this place for a peaceful and enjoyable stay!

This place is AMAZINGGG I came with a few friends for my birthday and it was so peaceful! Brian was very friendly and helpful, even with something small like the WiFi going out, he came right over and reset the router and was very friendly! I would 100% rent this place again and hope to for the summer!

Daryl was a great host. The stay was just as pictured very pretty view. It was clean and stocked with everything you would need for your stay.

I was in town for a family event and wanted something other than a hotel room. The home was cozy and inviting, instructions were clear and precise. Being late October the weather was unbelievable warm. We (me and 2 sisters) were able to enjoy the wonderful deck and beautiful scenery. It was peaceful and quiet with an amazing views. We had a wonderful stay at Andrew's place. It was a perfect little getaway where we could unwind & just enjoy the scenery. We came in town to visit our Son who is a Freshman at Nichols College. We had some cold weather & rain but, we took full advantage of the firepit & sat out by the water enjoying the view. There were lots of things to do on the water that we can hopefully do when we visit again in warmer weather. This place was a wonderful spot for us to unwind & spend time with our boy! Andrew & Lora were super responsive & helpful for all of our needs. They went above & beyond to make sure our visit was perfect. Highly recommend this gem by the water!

Staying at Mara's house was exactly what we needed to welcome in 2025. The house itself is immaculate, well appointed, comfortable and has incredible lakefront views to tie it all together. Getting around the Cayuga Lake area was so easy from where the house is located and there are even some incredible wineries and breweries minutes away. The layout and setup of the house was very thoughtfully done and everything we needed (and more) was there. 10/10 excellent stay.

We will be back to Lacey’s lake house! A beautiful weekend getaway. Close to an unlimited number of wineries on Seneca lake. Lacey’s home is perfectly decorated and clean. If you are looking for the perfect lake getaway this is the place for you!

Our party had a great stay at Julie's home! The house is so well stocked and so many logical choices were made by Julie to make the stay as convenient and effortless as possible. The hot tub was awesome, the lower floor was cozy and fun with plenty of games, and the layout was great for the two kids and two adults. The entire house was very clean and comfortable. Julie was very communicative and responsive throughout our stay. She also had a basket of goodies waiting for us on arrival. I would love to come back in the summer months to kayak on the lake. I wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Our group had a great time here! The place was absolutely beautiful. It felt modern and most importantly, clean. The house had a really nice charm to it and seems like the perfect vacation home. The different floors had different vibes to them, and the game room/bar area downstairs combined with the hot tub overlooking the lake was amazing. The roads leading to the house were a bit icy but the host was extremely responsive and had maintenance come to salt and sand it for us so we could get over the hills within 20 minutes of us reaching out - incredible service! They also pre-salted the driveway for the next day in anticipation of snow/ice for us. I would absolutely stay here again.

The house is beautiful! Everything was so perfect we didn’t want to leave ever! It was cold but the heater inside the house made it so cozy! The cold didn’t detain us from seeing the beautiful surroundings. We went to a waterfall near by and walked the trail. Great experience. We were welcome at the house with a nice bottle of wine 🍷 which was a very nice gift! Thank you for everything will definitely come back. Catharine was very responsive, always available and made great recommendations! Awesome host!

I just wanted to thank you for everything you did for us!! Your home is lovely and I would definitely stay again! We had 3 feet of snow and he plowed everything everyday for us since we worked nights! Beautiful spot you can see the Bay!

A lovely, impeccably appointed, and yet affordable cottage right on Lake Cayuga and minutes from the center of Ithaca and Cornell. . Robert provides prompt and personal service to his guests. Highly recommended.

We had a great family weekend. Drove to ice castles for a visit there. House was clean and comfortable. Entertainment system was easy to use. The kitchen was fully stocked. Overall it was a great relaxing stay.

Our stay on the lake was wonderful. The housing was perfect and met our needs. This would be a great house to rent during the summer months. WE had a little trouble locating the house initially as it is located among other houses and the drive down to the house is not clearly marked. If you are coming from the south you need to make a turn almost opposite the way you are coming into a steep drive to the housing. It needs to be better marked, maybe with an arrow and house number. The house could also us a little address sign on the walkway for clarification. HOWEVER, the stay was great and getting information to the person in charge was easy. The accommodations were very good. The view was wonderful. The water frontage is a bit steep but there are steps to bring you to the water. In all this is a wonderful home for vacation with amenities about 15 minutes away. I would give Nancy or Eric a call again.

I had a fantastic stay at this Airbnb! The space was incredibly spacious, offering plenty of room for everyone. There were also more than enough bathrooms, which made it super convenient for our group. The location couldn’t have been better—everything we needed was within easy reach. Plus, the host was extremely responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. We went during the winter and it snowed which made it beautiful, but I'd love to visit during the summer months. Highly recommend!

This really was a perfect stay with an incredible view! We had an amazing stay at this Airbnb! The view was absolutely breathtaking, just as shown in the pictures. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we felt right at home from the moment we arrived. The kitchen was spacious and well-equipped, making it easy to prepare meals. Everything was exactly as described, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend!

We were two couples and enjoyed our stay at the lodge. It is well organized and located in a beautiful setup on the lake. A relatively short 30 minutes drive allowed us easy access to the white Mountains attractions. Vanessa was proactive on closing the open space above the bedroom doors just before we came - so this issue as reported in some other reviews has gone away… in short - highly recommended!

Fantastic spot. We stayed in the fall. It was quiet on the lake. We enjoyed SUPing and Kayaking. Was happy to find “one earth” natural grocer up the road a bit. We enjoyed a fire in the wood stove every night. The Loons were a special treat too. It is steep and lots of stairs to the water but worth the climb. :) Lea was so accommodating and responded immediately to every inquiry. Hoping to book again next fall!

We stayed at this property for my dad’s 67th bday and our dog’s 3rd birthday and we had such an amazing time. It was warm, peaceful, and overall so beautiful and relaxing . Bill was nothing short of an exceptional host and he was super quick to respond to any of our questions and was available to us all throughout the weekend! He was so kind and really did pull through for us in every which way. I’d come back here again in a heartbeat. Thank you for everything bill 🙏
