Yurt vacation rentals in Northeastern United States

I keep coming back to this specific yurt during the coldest times of the year. It never disappoints!

We went for a weekend getaway. The experience was what we expected it to be. It was surrounded by the woods, we got to light our own fire in the pit, roasted a few things. However, due to light rains had to wrap it up a little early (can't do anything about it), still thoroughly enjoyed it. The kitchen is equipped to prepare some basic stuff, and an outdoor BBQ for some heavy cooking (if weather permits). We were welcomed by the hosts and their two cute dogs. Expect that there will be other dogs around, as this is a pet friendly place. We made our own fire in the fire pit and room heater, there was plenty of wood, and tools to prepare kindling. We didn't need the room heater in fall season. My only feedback would be for washroom. Sometimes the smell can creep in the yurt if the flap in the toilet doesn't close correctly. Overall I would highly recommend the place, it was as it is put in the description.

Ellen and Jay were great hosts! They made sure we had enough wood pellets to keep the stove on and warm enough during the chilly November weather. They were very responsive and incredibly helpful. The property is stunning and the yurt was luxurious. We had a wonderful trip and cannot recommend this place enough!

Ed and Rick were extremely helpful and responsive, and their yurt had everything we had wanted. Their picnic basket meals were amazing and made for a perfect easy weekend!

This Airbnb is absolutely stunning and looks exactly like the photos — even better in person! The attention to detail in the decor and ambiance is remarkable. The hostess was incredibly responsive and accommodating, making our stay seamless and enjoyable. The farm tour was such a delightful bonus, adding a unique and memorable touch to our visit. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing getaway!

Because of the awesome yurt and all its glory our weekend was amazing, fun, cozy, unique, relaxing, and mellow. What a great experience. Loved every minute of our stay!

my wife and I had an absolutely majestic stay here. We enjoyed our coffee out on the deck each morning surrounded by nature with the morning mist all around us. It felt like a dream! the kitchen had everything we needed and it was over all beyond our expectations! So cozy we didn't want to leave and we are already planning to stay again!

If you are looking for a cozy getaway to the woods that keeps you close to both cities and beautiful wild areas, this is it. The walk back to the yurt is private and beautiful -- between the fall foliage, the little mushrooms growing along the path, and all the chipmunks and squirrels there to greet you, it's something out of a storybook. The place is lit up well at night, with very cozy lighting inside as well! The woodstove was enough to keep me warm, even as a person now accustomed to Florida weather, and there were SO MANY blankets made available just in case. It was so lovely to lay in bed at night and watch the stars through the top of the yurt and listen to the acorns fall and roll down the sides - I've never slept more deeply at an Airbnb. The bathroom is outside, but the motion lights at night made it easy to go about my business. If you're a camper, it will feel like a luxurious little setup! I couldn't recommend it enough. Such a wonderful place to take a breather!

Jill was an amazing host! She communicated perfectly about everything from the property to the local attractions, restaurants and attractions! My husband was the guest, away to fish and enjoy the water! He said the surrounding and atmosphere were perfect for anyone wanting to be submersed in nature! He will most definitely be back!

Idk why these reviews mention the barking dogs at all. They didn’t bark that often 🤷🏻‍♀️ Also, despite freezing outside temps at night, it wasn’t as cold as some reviews said it was going to be. The wood stove works wonderfully for heat, you just have to keep the doors closed to keep the heat in. My kid loved cooking on the wood stove and getting water from the stream. We felt like pioneers 😂 I also chose to use firewood bundles from the Cumberland Farms down the street- deff helped keep the fire going. We brought sleeping bags, which I’m sure helped too. This was such a fun trip! Highly recommend.

Upon arrival to the Yurt, Jason came outside from his house, welcomed me, and told me about his farm. He warmed up the Yurt before I got there so I wouldn't be cold when I walked in. I had a very peaceful stay and Jason even told me when his farm shop was open so that I could peruse their wares. The drive to Deep Creek and the srounding parks was no bad and the sound of the stream at night were very nice. I highly recommend and would stay here again. Warning: His friendly dogs will greet you as you get out of your car, so if you don't like dogs then I'm sure Jason would keep them in when you arrive. Advisory: Jason's Highland Cows are the cutest. You will want to pet them and the dark brown one will want to you pet him. If you only like to see them from afar, don't worry, they are behind a fense. P.S. This place did not smell too much like a farm at all!

We had the most magical time staying at the yurt. It was beautiful, cozy and it had awesome amenities. The labels were a lovely way to keep everything organized. There is so much love and care that is put into the space. It felt like a very luxurious experience from the shower room, to the kitchen, to the record player. All the information and more was compact in a binder. Jennifer was an amazing host!! :) There is a beautiful lake walking distance that we walked spent time around. We definitely would love to come back in the summer and use the kayaks there. The yurt is also 30 minutes from Kingston so we did a day trip which was lovely. We truly enjoyed our stay. It was so romantic and we are grateful for the experience. Thank you! :)

The yurt was the absolute perfect getaway. It had everything we wanted and needed. The outdoor shower was beyond my expectations. I’ve stayed in places with outdoor showers that were very glitchy and not warm. This one was so functional and nice and warm against the cool autumn air. There were even cute trails behind the yurt. The wood stove was so magical as well and Craig & Karen were so kind and responsive. 5 stars all around - if you’re thinking of booking this place, DO IT!!!

Where do I start!? We traveled to Maine with zero plans and quickly decided to make our long weekend a road trip. We booked this location the day of and the host immediately started helping us make plans for a ferry. We are NOT camping people but this was an amazing experience! The host picked us up from the ferry and took us right up to the door of the yurt. It was a chilly evening and she made sure to turn on the electric blanket and made sure we had enough fuel for the heater. The next morning she let us borrow two bikes and we rode to the general store for breakfast (very tasty and nice dogs, staff were wonderful as well!) and then to the beach. All the locals we met were very friendly! When it was time to leave the host was gracious enough to give us a tour of the island. We very much enjoyed staying here and will recommend it to everyone! Thank you SO much! This will go down as one of our favorite Airbnbs.

The yurt had a fire going before we arrived- which was great! We were not cold at all, actually quite warm. Our dog loved the amenities and the nearby trails to explore. Very close to the Stone Mountain Arts Center which is why we stayed here! Would recommend bringing your X-country skis in winter.

This was my second time staying at one of Landon's yurts in reynoldsville PA.. The location is ideal in the sense that you're only surrounded by three other yurts and the sun sets and morning sunrises are encapsulated by the expansive surroundings.. I love the minimalist abode yet provided the wonderful features such as the hot tub as well as a wonderful fire pit with wood provided and a wonderful exploration of the stream not far away.. in retrospect it is definitely a place that I would consider coming back to

We are repeat visitors to Western Maine Yurts, although we had never stayed in this newer “village”. I liked the layout, proximity to the bathhouse yet still private & near the trails. We stayed in Kennebec. We were a last minute check in & Alex & Tricia were extremely attentive & accommodating! You really can’t go wrong with the experience they provide! We will be back!!

Great and spacious place, with many amenities. Offers an amazing view of the stars! Located a fairly quick drive from various towns. Throughly enjoyed our short but sweet stay!

My Boyfriend and I came up for a Babymoon weekend and felt the warmth of hospitality by Sarah and Erik! The Yurt was very clean, comfortable, and welcoming! 10 out of 10 would recommend💜

This was our first time in a yurt, and it was fantastic! Just the structure of the yurt itself was amazing to look at. The birch supports were beautiful and interesting. The beds were comfortable, the wood stove easy to use, and it kept us quite warm in 30-degree temperatures. Everything about the site was easy. The kitchen was very well stocked, and the appliances worked well. We had a wonderfully comfortable stay. The place felt both spacious and cozy. Even the porta-potty was more pleasant than others we have used. There were little extras that enhanced the experience -- a rocking bench and comfortable chairs around the firepit, unlimited firewood, decorations in the yurt, whimsical hand-blown glasses, and a step above typical dinnerware. Jamie went out of his way to accommodate us when we misread the listing and did not have water. He was gracious about supplying us with 5-gallon jugs that saved our weekend. We highly recommend Wild Acres and will eagerly return!

This place was beyond perfect. The wood stove was sooo nice and the little outdoor area was great. Bathrooms at the campground were pretty good too! Highly recommend staying in the yurt, it also came with a bunch of cooking stuff and plates and a little mini fridge. Definitely will be coming back!

This place is everything described and just adorable… we had a wonderful peaceful weekend away… and coffee never tasted so good as on the deck while leaf peeping! Definitely will try to return. Ps there’s a little market in town that made delicious sandwiches and home made soup. We an order to go and ate on the deck while we enjoyed the view again… 🍁🐐🛖

We only stayed one night but loved it—really allowed us to relax and enjoy nature. And the Yurt was very cozy and still warm enough in October. Would definitely go back!
