Cottage vacation rentals in Greene County

This is such a quaint mountain getaway. We loved sitting in the hot tub at night and looking at the stars. The house had everything we needed to cook meals and just have a relaxing weekend. Ashley was super responsive to our many questions and very kind, would definitely recommend.

Great stay! We really enjoyed the view, hot tub, large kitchen, and comfortable beds. Space was very clean and well stocked as well. Convenient location near Shenandoah National Park, Luray Caverns, downtown Luray, and Walmart. Would stay again!

Our stay was amazing. We booked , not knowing it would be the coldest weekend this fall season. The house was cozy, extremely clean, and looks exactly like the online pictures. We didn't get to enjoy all the amenities but we did try the games and outdoor seating during the day. Inside the house we found all we needed. We loved the electric fireplace and used a few of the host recommended restaurants. Overall, a wonderful stay. We are already discussing a return.

Mountain Chateau was a great landing spot for our trip to SNP. The home is well equipped for family time together and had many additional amenities. Beds were very comfortable and the extra blankets were much appreciated as the weather was chilly for our family Thanksgiving adventure.

This was a trip with my girlfriends to celebrate my 30th birthday, and it was a really wonderful experience. The location is beautiful, surrounded by trees and mountains in an area that feels remote without being too far from local towns and Shenandoah National Park. Being fall, the views were fantastic all around from the fallen autumn leaves and trees lining the back of the property to the swings on the porch overlooking the mountains dotted with fall color. The only unfortunate part of the trip was that the hot tub was not working while we were staying, but Olivia was very responsive and tried to help us get it running before the end of our stay which was very much appreciated. If you’re looking to get away and have a calm, relaxing experience, I would recommend a stay here.

First time booking with airbnb and it was a great experience. Rhonda was replying within minutes and very helpful when asked questions. It is a cozy and homey location with beautiful views right outside the neighborhood. If you like nature this is the place to be. Everything is close by as well. Very clean house with clear instructions. S’mores was my favorite.

We really enjoyed this beautiful property and guest house. This was a great location for our time in Shenandoah National Park. Chris was very friendly and on site to show us around. We did our own cooking and found the kitchen well supplied with all we needed. We especially enjoyed the gas fireplace. Would definitely go back.

Wolf Trap farms is one of the best places to stay. Everyone was friendly even the horses and cats.

Our family had such an amazing stay! The home included all the amenities we needed and was incredibly clean. We loved seeing the horses out the window and using the fire pit to make s'mores at night. Our daughter also loved the loft. Easy access to both Orange and Gordonsville, and Patti was also very quick to respond. We will be back!

The Copper Cottage was as cozy as described. Our dog loved hanging out in the backyard. The location was great as we were close to lots of hiking options on the Blue Ridge Parkway, Shenandoah, and even with Waynesboro itself. Basic City Brewery and Happ coffee were awesome.

Beth’s guest house was a great little place for us to stay in Crozet with our dog tagging along. She has a lot of conveniences available for travelers with pets like crates, bowls, clean up bags, etc which was very nice. And while the place is obviously pet friendly, there was no major pet odor and not a single pet hair on the floor or furniture! Everything was very clean, and looked just like the photos. Beth’s place is a charming mix of very rustic original touches mixed with tasteful modern farmhouse decor with no clutter! Very peaceful! Helpful Note for coffee drinkers- standard coffee maker is available but you will need to bring ALL accompaniments you might need to make it (Ground coffee, Sugar, cream etc..) Beth has done a lovely job making a very comfortable and tranquil guest cottage. We would gladly return if we end up in the area again!

We had a great stay at Steve and Hillary’s cottage. It was the perfect location for the wedding we attended- just minutes away. The cottage was clean and very comfortable. We felt right at home. Very peaceful area. There is lots to see and do in the area. The town of Orange is just a few miles away if you need anything.

We loved our time at Kim’s cottage and estate. It fit our needs and we loved being able to read by the pool while listening to birds! The beds were incredibly comfortable and the kitchen was adorable.

Loved the Willow Tree. My daughters and I celebrated an early Thanksgiving so we were able to cook a meal and had all the amenities to do so! We had a great time lighting the fire pit and eating s’mores. We played games and enjoyed the peacefulness of the area. Would definitely would recommend and stay again.

The place is cute with the perfect mix of being out in the country yet not too far from everything. The hosts are super responsive and kind.

We have stayed in a lot of AirB&B’s over the years, and Amy’s House has to be my favorite. We loved it so much that we are planning a return trip. Amy’s House has everything you could need during your stay. It is the most dog friendliest house I have ever seen. Billy provides a well-stocked house for both two-legged and four-legged guests. The beds were comfortable. The house was spotless and well decorated. Billy roasts have own coffee and shares with his guests. The location is lovely. We spent two days hiking in the SNP. I could have easily stayed a week. Heck, I’d move in if they let me. ;) If you are looking for a place to stay in this area, just book this house. It’s perfect. The owners are very friendly. The house is charming. You and your fur-babies will love it!

Had a great stay. David and Keith were wonderful hosts, the place was easy to find and was in a beautiful setting. The place was cozy and all ready for us upon arrival. Would definitely recommend!

Cozy Cottage is just that-a sweet and cozy little cottage nestled in a very beautiful area. I was only able to stay from 9pm-7am, but the views I did see were gorgeous! The house was easy to get into and I love the personalized welcome board, sweet treats, and coca-cola's in the fridge. Kay was very kind and responsive. Note that there is no cell reception out there (there wasn't for me, anyway) but the Wi-Fi worked perfectly. The house is on a main road but because it's a rural area the traffic isn't disruptive at night. I did need to turn on my white noise app, but I usually do that in hotels too. I'd recommend this cottage for a couple or a small family (4 people or less). I wish I could've stayed longer!

Kristina & Larry’s place is beautiful for a getaway from urban life. We celebrated Thanksgiving there and it was the perfect setting. Kristina’s kitchen has all the top of the line appliances. Pots and pans galore. If you’re a baker you would not be disappointed. The wood working fireplace was our favorite. 25 minutes from Charlottesville where our daughter lives but the escape from the city made it memorable. On a clear night we could see all the stars and since we were staying on a working farm we had goats, a cow, working dogs and woodpeckers galore. Not to mention the deer who would sleep in front. The front porch was fantastic in the morning. Has rocking chairs so one morning I had my morning coffee and experienced the sunrise while listening to the wildlife. The home is so cozy and perfect for our family and friends. Definitely do your shopping ahead of time as a food store is not around the corner. 2 pass the time hiking, photography, and playing games at night were our pastimes

It has been an awesome place for our short get away trip, with cozy, thoughtful inside setup and peaceful, healing surroundings. Eric and Tabatha had been great host, providing useful informations and instructions. We felt like at home.

SUCH a cute little cottage, unlike any other space we've had the pleasure to stay in! The coziness in this cottage truly represents the area around it and makes for a quaint getaway from all the traffic of the big cities. Leah was extremely responsive, though everything inside was easy to figure out and just as it’s described in the listing! No complaints whatsoever. This lovely home and city helped make this 10 year anniversary one to remember for all of the rest of or anniversaries, for sure!

We loved our stay at The Birds Nest. it was the perfect distance between Shenandoah National Park and Charlottesville and we explored both. Beautiful place!
