Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Greene County

Great stay in an extremely well-organized spacious and clean place in a very peaceful location among several farms (quite dark at night for excellent star-gazing)…yet only minutes from numerous restaurants and stores, and a half-hour to a Shenandoah Nat’l Park entrance and the Appalachian Trail. Adam and Lynn were super friendly, responsive and overall superb communicators (very helpful and much appreciated!). The gift donuts and wine were a beautiful touch. Very highly recommend this cabin and Lynn and Adam as hosts!

We enjoyed another stay at the House in the Holla, which was the perfect home base for our days spent hiking in Shenandoah National Park (the house is just a short drive from the Swift Run Gap entrance station). As we have during previous stays we especially enjoyed sitting by the creek with our coffee in the mornings and sitting around the fire pit at night. Our pup loved having the yard to explore. The house was equipped with everything we needed.

My friends and I only stayed one night after a long day of hiking at Old Rag. It was so nice to be able to relax and unwind in this cute and comfortable space. It was equipped with coffee, tea and snacks - and the sauna was an extra bonus for our sore muscles! We would love to visit again to enjoy the beautiful surroundings more.

Anna was a great host and location was perfect for our weekend trip filled with hiking. Highly recommend!

Super enjoyed our stay! We had a much needed time to relax and slow down. The kids enjoyed the amenities a lot! (Especially the kids at heart haha) House was a little hard to find since we checked in late and its super dark in the area obviously haha! But that wasn’t an issue. One thing tho, I wish they labeled the switches cuz we don’t know half of what they turned on.

Such a beautiful and well kept home. The location and scenery were exactly what we were looking for. Home was well stocked with linens and very clean, felt very homey. Would absolutely stay here again. Thank you for sharing your little slice of heaven with us.

We had a great stay. The property was beautiful and we enjoyed hikes around it. Alex greeted us when we arrived and gave us a tour/history of the property. Very nice! Our kids and dogs fell in love with Louie. Louie showed us new areas to explore and always kept a watchful eye on us. (The big white dog) We stayed here over thanksgiving and would like to return during the summer to enjoy the water.

Very homey place, plenty of space and high ceilings make it feel even bigger. Plenty of space for multiple people to stay as well as a full kitchen with spices and dishes provided. Suzy was a very polite host and I definitely consider her place, especially if you are hitting the mountains and hikes. Also the water pressure in the shower was amazing, definitely recommend here!

Very cute basement studio, homey, stylish and super clean. Location was great close to downtown, but private and in a great neighborhood. Host was very communicative, flexible and helpful. We would definitely recommend and stay again. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us!

Staying at Bianca’s place was extremely good experience! She was very friendly and communicative since we arrived , during the staying and also when we left the house! House was very test fully decorated, very clean and practical ! Very good location and peaceful! I would like to thank Bianca for hosting us! After all very good experience!

We couldn’t ask for a nicer stay. Jill is probably the most laid back host I have ever met. She gives you total privacy in your stay. I have adopted her 2 goats. We love visiting with them daily. And to sit and watch her donkey with his best friend a cow is hysterical. They run together and wrestle like two dogs. I am definitely a city girl but have loved the farm. So relaxing for both of us. Definitely a place to come back too.

Bella was an awesome addition to the property. She was so sweet. The space was clean & we had what we needed. The one thing that is really needed is a bedroom door for the second bedroom.

A perfect weekend getaway! The space was PRISTINE, easy instructions to get in, wonderful recommendations for the surrounding area, and overall one of the best stays I’ve had in Harrisonburg!!

Bettyjo’s place was eclectic and cute! We had everything we needed for our stay and the space felt private with its own entrance. The location was great - it’s close to everything! Bettyjo and her husband Steve were very friendly and fun to talk with. They provided great local recommendations. I would definitely stay here again!

Secluded and quiet getaway very near the entrance to Shenandoah National Park. It is definitely a studio so a single room which was perfect for us but might be tough for more than 2 people. Place was well stocked. No shower supplies tho (no shampoo or shower soap or lotion) so plan to bring that. Host is very helpful and extremely responsive. Not really walkable to anywhere so I’d also recommend bringing in groceries as well (we did and it was super helpful).

This place was exactly like describe and pristine. It was so peaceful and beautiful. We even experienced a perfect snow flurry in the awesome hot tub. The projector was fun for watching movies and the addition was something out of a fancy ski resort. Would definitely stay here again!

This place was a very spacious quiet area and great amenities. We didn’t use the lake toys because it was November but if it was warm enough we would have. The place was so comfortable and clean. It literally has everything we needed for a 3 day stay. I could t ask for more. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

This Cabin was perfect for a getaway! Everything was as described and the cabin is just awesome. Very relaxing and tucked away in your private sanctuary!

I had a great stay! The heat worked well along with a space heater so it was nice and cozy in the cold weather. Very comfortable bed too.

Everything about our stay, the cabin, and the overall experience was elevated. James and Don's attention to detail left nothing to be desired. My family (2 parents, sister and brother-in-law, and 2 dogs) enjoyed Thanksgiving week at Naked Creek and had a fabulous time. We enjoyed the amenities, games, hot tub, out door fire pit, and the dogs loved the dog treats that were provided. Excellent location, close to Shenandoah National Park and the town of Elkton. Hosts were always available and quick to respond.

The pictures don't do justice to this beautiful home. It is clear that this home is given a lot of love. We appreciated all the detail in the decor and home furnishings making it feel very log homey. The home looks brand new and is very clean. The front yard is private, spacious, surrounded by woods and has a pretty pond. There were plenty of kitchen supplies, including Kureg coffee, lots of extra towels in the bathrooms, and extra blankets in bedrooms. We used the home as a base to hike the Appalachian trail in Shannondoah national park. It was only about 15 min drive to the Swift run gap entrance. Perfect place to relax after a long day of hiking.
