Apartment vacation rentals in Greene County

Jeff was an awesome host. He was very helpful and friendly, gave me a ton of recommendations for the area. He was also very responsive with any issues I had. The apartment is located right downtown, there’s restaurants, shops, and a brewery just steps away. Great antique/vintage stores, and very friendly people. The apartment is really cool, it is the upstairs of a very old building, with shops below. The space is very large, all hardwood, and Jeff provided tons of blankets, towels, etc. I love the claw foot tub! Upstairs was converted from old offices, so the apartment technically has 3 doors (one in each room) to access the hallway. The door in the middle room has a deadbolt lock, unfortunately it locked behind me and I had to wake Jeff up at 7am (sorry Jeff) 😬 I wouldn’t use this door or you might accidentally get locked out and have to harass your host Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This apartment was a perfect place to stay for the wedding we attended. It was walking distance to everything and had exactly what we needed to have a comfortable, easy stay. Gen was very responsive and even left fresh pumpkin bread and coffee! That was a lovely and thoughtful touch.

Good Airbnb for being close to Shenandoah. We visited over thanksgiving, so it was a little cold and we weren’t able to enjoy the river, but very beautiful area and the open area across from the home was a nice touch, especially with dogs. Owner was very responsive and easy to communicate with.

Comfortable and roomy. Cool artwork. Fun neighborhood, ample parking. Jason communicated promptly and was helpful. Great way to stay downtown!

Kalin is a great host who was proactive and really made sure that our stay was going well. We liked the studio a lot. It was spacious and very nicely decorated with seasonal touches, which made it extra cozy. Also the bed was super comfortable and the sheets were very soft. We would definitely book with Kalin again!

This was a great place to stay in Harrisonburg. It’s about a 10 minute walk to downtown and a few minutes drive to JMU. The kitchen was full size and well appointed. The house is older, but it’s had some updates and is well decorated and clean. Overall, the perfect place to stay when staying in Harrisonburg or visiting JMU.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Monica's apartment in the Belmont area of Charlottesville. The accommodations are spotless and comfortable, the location is easy walking distance from both the Downtown Mall and cute and lively main avenue in Belmont (great restaurants with amazing atmosphere, and a fun boutique). Monica had a basket with lots of recommended things to do in the area, and is very warm, friendly, and communicative. We would happily stay there again!

Rosemary's Nest is awesome! The view off the front porch is a different movie every night. Old Rag, White Oak Canyon and the Skyline Drive are about 40 minutes away, Culpeper is 16 miles away. I suppose we were a little different type of guests, as we stayed ~six months. I was there to recover from a full hip replacement and the steep-ish driveway was perfect for physical therapy. Rosemary and Joe became like family, kept an eye out for us and they invited us upstairs for many delicious dinners and a Civil War quiz. If I have to get my other hip done in the next year or so, we certainly will be returning!

Erin has created a lovely apartment in the bottom level of her home which, due to the slope, is level with the back yard. The linens and bedding were fresh and clean, and the kitchen area lovely to prepare food in. We spent time at the dining table and on the couch watching a movie. It's a very homey environment with hallway hooks to hang hats and coats! If you are a light sleeper, you may want a white noise machine or ear plugs, as there are chickens in the yard adjacent to the bedroom window. They have all kinds of opinions to cluck about in the early mornings! Thank you, Erin, we hope to stay again on future visits to Cville.

The pluses are the location, the grounds, and the spacious layout of the place. The only negative is it is a basement apartment. It was a little chilly, I had to bump up the heat. But the location can’t be beat & the grounds of the larger home are lovely.

Unique little place to stay right in the heart of Belmont! 5-6 restaurants around the corner and a coffee shop right next door. 10 minute walk down to the mall and a short drive to UVa campus. The house is in a quiet neighborhood and had all the amenities we needed for a 2 night stay. Laura was super responsive and offered recommendations for things to do and places to eat. Would love to go back!

Andrea was very quick to respond to my questions and made sure we were good to go. The place was beautiful inside. I’m currently trying to find the tapestry that was hanging behind the head of the bed. It felt as if it was meant to be there. It was very quiet and a beautiful little town with restaurants, gas stations and shops all within walking distance. After a lot of researching, I found this to be the best spot in the area for the price. Beautiful historic building with a modern feel. Next time I come back to the mountains, I most certainly will be looking to stay here again.

Paula’s place is very nicely appointed, there is a beautiful view from the deck. The house is very clean and the beds and furniture comfortable. Paula was always very responsive to messages which I really appreciated. We crossed paths in front of the house and Paula is very friendly in person. I also appreciated how quiet and peaceful the house is, very tranquil neighborhood. I don’t hesitate to recommend this place, or Paula’s hospitality. When we get back to Harrisonburg we’ll definitely stay here again!

Slavic's place was perfect for our family of four! He included detailed instructions about where to park, how to get in, and about Wi-Fi. We felt very safe, and everything was very clean. It was a quiet neighborhood, and we barely heard his parents above us—just a few footsteps in the morning. The filtered water and spotless, full-size fridge were quite nice. My boys were delighted by the full-sized complimentary chocolate bars. The linens were clean and quality materials, and the beds were super comfortable. There were pull-down shades, which are helpful, but if you want total darkness, I would bring blackout curtains and painter's tape. There are many outlets and mirrors, so people can get ready just about anywhere. We liked the automatic light outside the bathroom so you could see during the night. We also appreciated that we could lock the door that led to the second floor for peace of mind. Thank you for an incredible stay! We will absolutely be back!

The loft was a really cool place that gives you an idea of just what it would be like to live in that industrial loft-style apartment that you see in movies. Fun, homey, and such easy access to the Firefly restaurant and bar is hard to beat. All questions and concerns were answered and addressed very quickly, I would recommend to anyone who is staying in the area and looking for a fun place for a few days. Will definitely look into staying here again in the future!

Beautiful area, spacious home, everything was clean. Had a lovely time here and enjoyed great views of the stars from our deck & hot tub at night!

We enjoyed our stay. There are a lot of steps. I had assumed (which I should not have) that the pool was going to be right outside of the main house. It was not. The main house is upstairs. There was, however, a pool house with a kitchen right next to the pool. Otherwise everything was comfortable and our family had a good time.

Chanel was excellent at communicating and was so helpful in accommodating us for two extended stays.

This is a private residence at the end of a dead end street and surrounded by woods. It feels like an oasis in the middle of Charlottesville's busy traffic. Would recommend.

Peaceful and beautiful home, with plenty to do in the area

The house was terrific, well kept up and clean. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
