Vacation rentals with a kayak in Chattahoochee River

We had a great stay. We unfortunately worked very long hours the majority of our stay. But half of our staff stayed here and the 2 organizers of the large event (myself included) got to enjoy a final evening quietly kayaking on the lake -- it was perfect and relaxing.

Amazing home! House and property was exactly as listed. Located in a quiet neighborhood which allows you to enjoy the scenery and just relax. Grocery stores and restaurants are within a 15-20 minute drive. Close to the race track which is great for race fans.

No joke, this was the first Airbnb that we stayed at for our yearly family vacation that fit all of us comfortably. You usually get info on the website, and then when you arrive, there is just something a little bit off, but this particular home was way much more. We had a blast. Marina was a little far away but we rented a pontoon for 4 days to putt around the lake and take in the views. Fire pit out back was great for the evenings and the grandkids (6 yrs/2.5 yrs/ 2 yrs) had a blast with the small putt-putt area out back. We might have a few future pro golfers in our family.

Highly recommend this place for a peaceful getaway.

My wife and I stayed here for a wedding. While we didn't get to relax at the property, it was wonderful to come back to after the festivities. We'd like to stay here again to actually enjoy the lake.

Our stay here was incredible and we were heart broken to leave! We said we easily could have stayed another week! We felt totally at home here and had everything we needed for cooking and recreation. We loved the fire pit and the kayaks 🤍 The host was generous with access to their personal belongings making it so easy to settle in here. The view is absolutely astounding and that part of the lake is so peaceful. We loved that a HUGE part of the lake around this property is very shallow but still easy to get a boat in. 2-3 feet deep. We were traveling with kids and this allowed us to rest our minds a bit around the water. We will absolutely be back here!

Great place in a more private cove. Close to all of the marinas and action but also secluded enough. Rented a boat from the local boat club and they delivered right to our dock which was great. Place was spacious was plenty of room for our sized group. The surround sound Bluetooth setup was awesome too. Could play music in every area of the house. Did lots of fishing from the dock and caught lots of bluegill, perch, and catfish. The screened in back porch was also awesome for rain storms and morning coffee. Host was very responsive and easy to get ahold of. 10/10 recommend.

We spent Easter weekend here. As we drove in the wild azaleas and dogwoods were blooming, and everything afterwards was just as beautiful and peaceful. My teenagers loved kayaking and my daughter liked the pond so well she slept on the daybed on the porch. I appreciated the feather pillows and reverse osmosis water. Attention has been paid to every detail. I called my Nana to show her the antique desks. My small children enjoyed the toys and my middle son using the pully bucket on the porch. My daughter celebrated a birthday over our stay, more movie guests showed up than expected and I just couldn't turn these kids away. Our hosts were so kind. They of course charged a little extra as was clearly understood via the contract, they were very understanding and polite. The lock to the boat seems to be jamed, the downstairs fireplace is currently non operational, and I'm not sure I'll get back a thumb drive I forgot, but this family has worked hard to create really special place. Five star

Loved this stay! They were very accommodating in letting me move my reservation after some family things arose. The parking is as described so pay special note to that. I really appreciated all the small details along with a well stocked kitchen (spices, staples, even s’mores!) and the bathroom essentials. Would recommend and would stay again!

We really enjoyed staying at Debbie's place. It was just what we needed. We were able to relax and enjoy the calm scenery and we really enjoyed the kayaks. Debbie was available for anything we needed and the place is just as described. Clean and gorgeous view of the lake. Definitely recommend staying here.

Impeccable property with beautiful lake view and direct access to the lake. Everything at the cottage is as promised. We were attending a wedding at Melan Farm and the location is ideal. Also close enough to town to drive in and back easily. We had an easy and comfortable stay.

We had a lovely stay. The cottage is tucked into its wooded lot and feels like a private retreat. Between relaxing on the dock, or napping in the screened pavilion, or exploring on kayaks there was something for our entire family to enjoy across the three generations on our trip.

We had the best weekend here celebrating our daughter’s birthday with a few of her friends. A lot of great memories were made! The home was perfect for our needs. It’s a really cute lake home and in a beautiful location. Everything was clean, well stocked and nicely decorated. Our host Ivy was very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay!

Pepper’s Place was perfect for our short get away. We wish we had booked a couple more days. We will definitely be back. The home is very nice with high end furnishings. Kerry was very responsive and a dream to work with. We had the most restful and peaceful time. I fished off the dock and my wife read a book on the beautiful screened porch. A perfect place for a morning cup of coffee or an evening glass of wine! Check out was a breeze as well. Thank you. It was a pleasure staying in your beautiful home.

Wonderful cabin in a great location. Everything was extremely clean. The kitchen had everything needed to make meals. Would definitely book again if in the area.

We had a nice calm stay, the kayaking was certainly the main reason for booking this cabin and it was lovely with a trip on the lake. The place was nice and rustic inside, and jacuzzi was also good. The only complaint was the coffee pod machine wasn't working and constantly switched on and off

The cabin is cozy, yet with surprisingly ample space for 10 family members to sit together for a meal in the living area. Ideal location and easy to get to town's shops, restaurants, stores and day trips to Lynchburg, Tullahoma and Huntsville. This will be my no. 1 Airbnb when I'm in town.

Beautiful place for solitude and a serene quiet birthday. Amazing views, clean spacious accommodations. Little details matter and they covered them all including labeling the light switches! Loved it all!

Enjoyed our stay. In town for granddaughters graduation. It was 8 of us and plenty of room. 4 older kids 16+ in age and they loved the pool table and nice part was where the pool table was located downstairs they could sleep and play pool as long as they wanted at night and not disturb older adults. They also enjoyed fishing even though they didn’t catch anything and kayaking from the pier. You definitely got your exercise going up and down to pier which we all needed. LOL

Beautiful lake location - the perfect stop over between visits to Chattanooga and Mentone/DeSoto. We wanted a relaxing stay someplace where we could enjoy the outdoors and get a good night's sleep, and that is exactly what we got here. We really enjoyed taking the kayaks for a spin around the lake in the evening and watching the birds from the deck in the morning, and we barely looked at our phones the whole time! It was all very clean, comfortable, and peaceful, and Ashley was very responsive and friendly.
