Fitness-friendly vacation rentals in Monterey

Probably the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in in terms of being a clean, well stocked place. So many little details done right. Charging docks on all the night stands. A “did you forget anything” toiletry basket in the restroom. The well equipped kitchen and selection of coffee from Keurig to Nespresso. A lot of care was put into this home and it’s well worth the asking price. As far as location, proximity to the beach, and views - that is all self explanatory. I had an amazing time, and will certainly book again.

This apartment is perfect for a fun visit to Santa Cruz. It’s a new construction with convenient, safe parking situated downtown. Everything in the apartment is clean, new and well thought out. The best part is the prompt and thorough host. Dave immediately responded to any concerns or needs we had and everything about check in and check out was easy and clear. Honestly, for a couple or small family visiting for the weekend (or longer!) you can’t do better than this.

Absolutely beautiful property! Studio was very spacious and comfortable. Jacuzzi was very relaxing. Location was perfect and close to shops and restaurants. The beach was close by and had magnificent views. We highly recommend this property and we can’t wait to visit again! Cheers!

Spacious unit right on the beach. Great view from dining area while enjoying morning coffee. Direct access to beach or boardwalk for walks with the dog. Easy access to all activities in Monterey county. This could become an annual retreat goal.

My family and I stayed here so that we could see the otters in Moss Landing. We chose this place because it was within budget, close by and looked nice. Let me tell you, it was fantastic! The place was so nice. Spacious, comfortable, clean, neat, had everything you would need. The resort was beautiful. I kept waiting for a catch but nope, it was real. Amazing views overlooking the ocean a short walk away, a restaurant in the lobby, a pool, easy parking and no rowdiness, which I'm always worried about with littles and apartments or resorts. We were a reasonable car ride away from everything we wanted to see: Moss Landing, Monterey Bay, Point Lobos, Carmel. I would 100% stay here again.

We stayed only one day at this listing, so couldn't do justice to the facilities that were at our disposal. The room itself, which is part of a resort, is spacious, well-stocked and looks even better than the photos. The view from the balcony is excellent. There is a pool and hot tub accessible within a couple of minutes from the room. There is a 5-10 minute walk to the nearby private beach, or you could just take a buggy. It was a very windy evening, so I got to take some otherworldly photos as the sun was going down, with no crowds to disturb the view. There are 4 restaurants accessible within walking distance in the complex, of which the Mexican option is the standout. Staff on-site are friendly and responsive. We enjoyed our stay here and have no hesitation recommending it to others.

Great location and views from our unit! The front desk staff were more than accommodating and allowed for flexibility within checking in/out, which we greatly appreciated. The amenity of being able to call for a golf cart to get down to the beach and around the property was great, especially since we traveled with a toddler. Will definitely stay again.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful 2-bedroom condo! The place was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described—but the highlight was definitely the stunning ocean view. It was the perfect spot to relax and soak in the scenery. We also really enjoyed the pool, which was quiet, well-maintained, and a great place to unwind after a day of exploring. A huge thank you to our host, who was incredibly responsive and helpful from start to finish. Communication was seamless and made the entire experience even better. We highly recommend this condo for anyone looking for a relaxing, oceanview getaway—we’d love to come back!

John’s place was nice and clean. The bedrooms were spacious and this place can easily have 6 people in it. If we are in the area again I’ll try and book John’s place

Great place to spend time in Carmel. The ocean views are beautiful and the house was clean and comfortable. It’s a little on the rustic side but has a great old Carmel feel. Very quiet but fairly close to downtown and the beach. Would definitely come back.

Michael's home is amazing! It is private, surrounded by woods. Inside, you'll find an absolute gem of a home. Very comfortable, with all the amenities we needed. Michael was responsive and proactive in reaching out to ensure we had a smooth arrival. We appreciated the lack of stress on our wedding weekend and it was the perfect home base to come back to after a busy day.
