Family-friendly vacation rentals in Colorado River

Had an amazing stay with friends in Fredericksburg! The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a great getaway. The location was perfect, and we really enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommend this place for a fun and stress-free trip!

Beautiful and spacious home! Heated pool was so perfect to have for the kids. Loved how there was a room away from the rest so the kids wouldn’t wake up the rest of our family. We would totally rent this place again!

We had a relaxing weekend. The hot tub was a great way to end the evening. We didn't run into any issues at all while staying here, so I never needed to message the host. There were other guests staying at other cottages on the property, but the cottages are spaced out so you don't really see each other.

Omg, the place was great! Ashley was a great host made our stay extra special when she didn’t have to. The place was awesome and even though it was bit of a bad weather we still made the best of it. We couldn’t let bad weather get in the way of the hot tub which we really enjoyed and the fireplace inside made it perfect for staying indoors and enjoying time. Thank you Ashley for hosting us. Can’t wait to go back.

Great hosts and excellent accommodations!

We had an awesome few days in Melinda's place. Beautiful view, incredible sunset. Kids enjoy the lake to fish and do water activities, while we watched them from the Jacuzzi. House has everything you could need. Family of 7 and we were really comfortable. Melinda is an incredible host!

This was such a cute and unique spot. I love the historic charm to it, the privacy, and the spacious, clean space. Our host was extremely responsive to any questions I had and super friendly! We enjoyed the hot tub during the cold front that came in, and it was all so close to downtown! Would definitely come back again.

Beautiful surroundings and secluded within a real nice neighborhood. Easy to get anywhere. A little cool for us to use the pool but the hot tub filled the void. We loved the place.

My second time staying here … I enjoy this spot. It’s very private and central to all things in del Rio. Highly recommend.

My family and enjoyed our stay very much. We booked the house for Christmas and when we arrived the house had a beautiful Christmas tree set up and throughout the house was holiday decor. It really felt warm and cozy and we were extremely pleased with our experience. We definitely would stay again! Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

We stayed for Labor Day weekend and the ease of access to the river made for the perfect weekend. No worrying about parking, renting tubes, getting picked up by a van- just walk in and walk out back to the house. It is a beautiful little gem.

Spent a few days there with family, enjoying some shows and trying out great restaurants. The home was spotless and had a peaceful atmosphere. Would absolutely return. The host was fantastic and very responsive.

What an amazing place! The studio was clean and cozy with everything we needed for our stay. The yard outside the studio was a beautiful spot for outdoor dining on the giant picnic table. We enjoyed swinging in the hammock and sitting by the fire ring in the evening. We loved walking around the ranch and looking at all the flowers, the scenery, the horses (especially the new foal), etc. The hike around the mountain/hill was just strenuous enough with lots of beautiful views (be sure to bring water)! Finally, their spot on the river was perfect. At this time of year many spots have run dry or stagnant, however, at Montesino there was still enough water in the swimming hole to have a good soak. It’s warm (as all Tx rivers are at this time of year), and there’s moss covering the rocks (again, as every river in Tx has right now) but the water is moving so it’s not stagnant and it’s still cool enough before 3 pm to be refreshing! It was a lovely time!

We had a wonderful stay at D6. Super clean and quiet place to get away from all the rustle and bustle. The magic forest was so cool! We spent time there meditating and relaxing. The amenities alone are well worth the price. Thank you so much Jennifer and team for opening your home to us this weekend. We look forward to returning in April :)

we had an amazing time at kims! we really enjoyed the pool and backyard, super comfortable beds, lots of room, and loved the house layout. the location was perfect!

Absolutely loved this house, felt like I was home. Kitchen was stocked with just about everything needed to prepare meals, plenty of towels for use. We loved the pool too. About 25 minutes to San Marcos. We thoroughly enjoyed Rose’s house and would highly recommend it!

We had a great stay, enjoyed the heated pool and was very relaxing after a long day in seaworld. Tiffany was very responsive.

Loved our stay! The ONLY thing that would’ve been nice was if the pool would’ve been heated. But that’s not on Darla. She has a beautiful home!

Beth is a wonderful host. She was extremely accommodating with our requests. The house was in excellent condition and a perfect location for our family reunion. We will definitely reserve her place again during future visits to College Station.

Great place to stay, in a good area of town. The house was clean and very accommodating. Host was also great!

Fantastic house especially if you have young kids. The pond was loaded with bass and perch, had a lot of fun fishing on the shore. Proximity to Round Top is extremely easy - literally one turn to get there. Would stay again although the mattresses could be higher quality and need to be updated soon. We would absolutely go back and plan to do so.
