Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Capitol Hill

A lovely place for my small family. Comfy beds. Very walkable with great shops and restaurants nearby. David was a great host.

Accommodations are exactly as described. Jennifer is friendly and easy to communicate with. A short 15 minute drive to the National Mall and many other sites.

Maggie’s house was perfect for our weekend visit to DC. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking equipment and snacks. The beds are very comfortable. The cozy home is near many sightseeing venues.

Cozy little place -- perfect for our needs. Barbara was easily available, helpful, and responsive. We would definitely stay here again. Free parking was great and very easy to find on their street. The location was ideal! 10 minute walk to the Capitol; 20 minute walk to the start of the mall; 10 minute walk to groceries/restaurants. Beautiful old homes all around in a really nice neighborhood.

Wonderful place, great location, and excellent hosts. You’re right next to a metro station and minutes from the Mall, and the food options nearby are excellent. The hosts went above and beyond to help us and were great to work with.

This is my second stay here. Selam is a great host with a great place. I am able to catch the Metro around town and return to a comfortable and safe home at the end of the day. I can’t wait to stay again.

I come to Washington regularly and I always try to stay at Julie's place. It has great light and a fantastic kitchen. We love the bed -- a good mattress is essential and you don't always get one at rentals. It has a different vibe than so many of the basement apartments that are on the market. Definitely 5 stars!

This is the perfect spot for a peaceful DC getaway! Cozy, comfy, so many walkable spots to visit, and just the right amount of space for the two of us. Ruthie was prompt and thorough in all her communication. We especially loved the variety of recommendations she made for places to eat and visit. We will definitely book this for future visits!

Molly is a lovely host! The inside is a wonderful and charming place. On a beautiful street with trees and nice families. Stay is a basement apartment off back alley. Host was exciting and kind and went the extra mile

The home is beautiful and in the perfect spot. My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time visiting DC. A guide for food and other activities to do was provided. We opted for virtual Smart cards, but she provides them and pretty much everything you’ll need for your stay. Not far from the national mall, metro stations, and delicious restaurants. We had no problem with any noise or anything with our stay.

This place was perfect for a weekend getaway. Being outside the hustle and bustle of the city was helpful for avoiding the wild traffic and noise, leading to a welcomed transition upon returning to the apartment. Had all the amenities I could have needed for the weekend, plus some. The host was proactive with communication, providing all the necessary information on the front end so that I never needed to reach out once about anything. Zero complaints from me.

Marc is an amazing host--he's quick to respond, gives clear instructions, and is really thoughtful about how he's set up the apartment. The place is clean, spacious, and in a great neighborhood. There's a bunch to do within easy walking distance, and Union Station is also nearby. I'd highly recommend staying here!

One of the best AirBnB's I've ever stayed in. Immensely comfortable, perfectly located, and very well stocked with yummy snacks and helpful amenities. Celia was super communicative, and the check in /out processes were both easy and convenient. I will definitely stay here whenever I come to DC.

This was a cute basement apartment! Although I was alone I felt very safe in this neighborhood. Well lit! Very clean! Loved that I had a garage to park my bmw rental ☺️ Really enjoyed cooking in the clean kitchen. Comfy bed! Looking forward to visiting again soon!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Shamim and Sheyda’s! The location was great (a 12 minute walk to the nearest Metro station, and an even shorter walk to multiple different bus stops). The bed was comfortable and the spaces were equipped with A/C and heating units that worked extremely well. Both Shamim and Sheyda were kind, responsive, and helpful. It was also extremely nice to be able to go home with clean laundry from the in-unit washer/dryer. I felt very safe in the neighborhood and surrounding area and enjoyed the local cafes and restaurants. I would recommend their listing to anyone looking for a cozy, affordable, and safe place to stay while visiting DC!

The detail around the house where perfect. My family and I had a great stay. One of our members got injured and had to stay in. She said lots delivery options there and she felt comfortable stay in. We felt safe in the area.

This was a perfect spot if you are going to be in the DC area. The space had all the things you would need. Sean and crew were really attentive to our communications and made sure we had everything we needed for our trip. We felt right at home. One of the best AirBnB we have been in. It was convenient with parking and quick walk to the Metro if you want to travel by train. Would stay here again if we could.

Kellys studio was perfect for my two night st auin Dc. Close to u/14th restaurants, easy walk down to the mall, and a quick scooter ride to Gtown. Would deff stay again! Kelly was also very flexible which I really appreciated
