Nature eco lodge vacation rentals in Western North Carolina

Had a great one night stay at the guest house. Highlights include the beautiful deck space overlooking the river, and a friendly dog that stopped by to say hello. Be prepared to be out of cell service and wifi May or may not work. Otherwise a very peaceful and well kept space!

This place is so nice I’m torn between writing a great review or trying to keep it a secret.

Being a first time user of airbnb , Im sold and airbnb will be my go to from here forward for any travel.. the ease of reservation and check in/ check out ... very smooth! I literally paid online , then drove to the door of the place and punched in a code and we were home away from home. So easy , no front desk , just such a great way to travel with your family and friends. But the best part was "D.J." , after reading the responses left on airbnb sites , DJ was the contributing factor to my stay. I look forward to future family trips to Boone more often b/c of DJ's personal and professional timeliness and friendliness. D.J. Thanks again my friend , will talk to you soon

Perfect place to stay! Quiet, clean, comfortable, private but close to everything!

D.J was flexible, responsive and understanding! Even though our weekend was not quite as planned due to circumstances with our kids, accommodations were great and made our trip easier. The room was very spacious compared to traditional hotels and had extra linen and towels. I would definitely stay here again!

This facility is away from all the crazy busyness of everyday life but not far from groceries, recreation, restaurants, etc. The views and landscaping on the property are gorgeous and create such a peaceful atmosphere. For those looking to check out from a hectic schedule for a while and recharge their batteries, this is a great place to do it--it is quiet and close to natural beauty, with property features well-suited to meditation, yoga, reflection, and just plain chilling!

highly recommend to anyone who wants to experience an outdoors private camping experience. truly was peaceful and good quiet place to take a break from every day life. I recommend putting your phone on airplane mode and just try to enjoy everything offered here. the chickens are definitely a good alarm clock! ha. would love to come back in the winter.

We really enjoyed our stay! The lodge was so quiet and beautiful. We had absolutely everything we needed and this was a wonderful place to stay before an early morning day of tubing. The bunk beds were so helpful to have with kids. Thank you so much and we will be back!

It was a wonderful place to stay. Great responsiveness from the host.

It is a nice place. The balcony is spacious where you could enjoy the starry night. It has a tiny fridge and microwave for you to store and warm-up the food. It will be great if utensils and paper plates are provided.

Absolutely beautiful property! The wagon was soo neat! Can’t wait to go back and stay again with my kids next time!

Room was very clean. There was a place in bathroom that needs repair. Water coming out of shower. Host was very nice easy to communicate with. Dogs welcome. Would stay again if needed.

We made a quick overnight stay for whitewater rafting and felt comfortable and clean. The directions and description did not disappoint. Will definitely come back for a longer stay in the future!

Awesome place Matt was a great host and helped for me to come early ! The attached bar and restaurant had good burgers and had fun playing music bingo ! The surrounding area was heavenly beautiful hiking trails with waterfalls! Wonderful! I hope to go back soon !

If you are looking for a private cozy cabin in a woody area away from busy population, this is the place to go. Ray is super friendly, received us even when we checked in very late in the night. He made us fresh coffee in the morning. He also took us for a walk around to near by waterfalls and a creek. We also went on a mini trail. If you are ok with staying with the host in the same house, you can give it a go. Cabin itself has an old vintage vibe with a porch with a a wonderful vibe.

Friendly host, luxury linens, and the most beautiful surroundings!! This place was awesome. My husband and I arrived late on Christmas night around 9pm. I mentioned to TJ how we weren’t able to find anywhere open to eat (because of Christmas) and TJ (the innkeeper) ended up making us 2 turkey sandwiches for dinner!! Talk about hospitality. We stayed in the Riverside Suite and the linens were AMAZING. I was not expecting that but the sheets were ultra soft as well as the towels and the mattress was so comfy. Literally checked the brand to buy the towels for my house. The hot tub is the perfect way to relax after hiking all day and our pup enjoyed every minute. I was grateful to get to chat with TJ and the story behind the inn and how he has put his heart in soul into that place. You can feel that spirit and love throughout the whole property. We will definitely be back!!

The Lodge at Smoky Cove is a true hidden gem. We enjoyed a peaceful stay overlooking the mountains from every aspect of the lodge. The new hot tub was a great addition! The property is beautifully landscaped and has walking trails for guests to enjoy. We will definitely be back again!

Lisa is amazing about responding back within minutes of my text. I would recommend this place 100%.

Very comfortable and clean. Had a little trouble checking in but the gal at the gate office was GREAT! Fun stay!
