Houston was awesome! He shared a couple beers with us and was really interesting to talk to. I wish we hadn't been too tired to take him up on his pool invitation. The cats were also adorable.

This was a very pleasant stay. My two friends and I pulled in a little late in the evening but Houston came out to greet us right away which we really appreciated. We came inside, put our bags down, and had a nice relaxing chat with Houston. He is very personable and social but also respectful of his hosts' privacy and space. We basically had the entire downstairs to ourselves which was very convenient. This place is perfect for a quiet, peaceful overnight stay.

Houston was great! He met me when I arrived, explained the location, got me settled in, and made some great recommendations on where to eat and go out (definitely try Quack’s bakery in the neighborhood). I had a conference downtown and the location couldn’t have been better. There are several bus options and I even walked to downtown one morning (about a 40+ minute walk). The buses run late so be sure to ask Houston where to have a beer. The cats were a plus. Great place, great location, great price, and great host.

Houston has a house with charm in a prime location in Austin. It's enjoyable to walk around and see the beautiful and interesting houses. We walked to Quack's 43rd Street bakery-delicious, popular, and a nice place to sit with a book or computer. Houston is very easy to communicate with.

I had a great time staying with Houston and his cats! The house was awesome, conveniently located, and it was fun to get to know my host. Houston was super thorough and responsive throughout the whole process. If I make it back to Austin in the near future will definitely look to see if this is available again!

Great location within walking distance of Hyde Park restaurants & grocery, also 2 blocks from Blue Moon Glass if you're in Austin taking a workshop there!... Comfy accommodation., especially if you need a cat fix! Highly recommend it for a stop over in Austin. .Great value. Houston and his two cats make you feel very welcome!

He was a very cool guy ! We were barely in the house but when we were around he had tons of recommendations for us. The cats are love too.

Please is cheap in relative to everything for sxsw, Host gave nice directions however I've never stayed in such a uncleared place. I saw flys. And it smelled. Please clean your place if your planning on hosting people please. I don't even think the sheets were clean, I found black things all over.

Sleep and go that's all ... As some other coms says it's small dark , dirty and no privacy at all . Hot as hell during night time , the AC was too noisy , bugs fly and smells bad into the room . Kitchen was dirty with a coconut pot oil with 2 massive dead roaches inside in the middle her foods , salt ... After saw that there was no way to use anything there to cook , the bathroom was ok but way too small and no lights worked inside... Thanks i had my sleeping bag cause the sheets smells so bad . I had to cancel the next night there and found another place to stay cause sleeping in a place where massive roaches are under your bed when you sleep it's kind of nasty ... I didn't met her but seems super nice by messages .

Estibaliz was gone, but the communication was great! I texted her with questions and she was very responsive and clear. Her friend Katie was in charge of things and she was amazing - very friendly, accommodating and fun to talk to. She made great suggestions for things to check out. I would definitely stay here again.

It is a very comfortable place right in the city centre. A short walk to the Metro Light train and bus stops. Wifi works great, and Natalie and Mark are good host, provide good information to the area.

The bed was comfortable and Angela was very polite and courteous . However, I was not able to use a majority of my bathroom products because of the perfume rule. Overall, with compromise, the experience was good.

My sister and I had a great time in Austin! We stayed for only nights but got to see most of the downtown area and 6th street. Tommy was very friendly and a fantastic host. He was very responsive to messages and made sure we had knew about all the local hip places to see and eat. Highly recommended.

I stayed here with two friends for a couple of days while attending a conference. Tommy's place is located in a lovely and safe neighborhood in Austin. If you don't mind walking, it's only slightly over a mile walk across the famous Congress St bridge to downtown, which is what we did. The place itself was as advertised. Clean, safe, easy to access. Tommy was friendly but not invasive at all. I definitely recommend it.

We had a great weekend at Tom's place. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet him since he was away, but he was very communicative. We had everything we needed and the location was perfect for exploring SoCo and taking a stroll through the Lady Bird Lake trail.

I had a fantastic stay at Tom's place! The neighborhood is really nice and quiet, but also super close to downtown so you can come and go as you please (and you can uber for really cheap also). Tom's place is really nice and clean, and private bathroom definitely a plus. Tom was super nice, helpful, and easy going. I couldn't have had a better stay. Thanks!

The absolute perfect space for a couple or independent traveler. Susan's property is nestled in a quaint and quiet neighborhood, a short walk to a large park (Ramsey Park i believe), to TacoDeli (home to some of the best breakfast tacos you will ever have) and several other small shops. And it's only about a 10 minute drive to downtown Austin or to the Domain where you can get your shopping on! One of our favorite AirBnb experiences hands down.

I had a great experience with Greg. He was attentive to all of my needs. I appreciated the warmth, simplicity, and contemporary decor of his home. It was comfortable and suited my needs well. I recommend this accommodation to all.

As two 20 year old girls we were a little worried about using air bnb, but Gregory was the perfect host and went felt very comfortable in his home.

We enjoyed our stay in Austin at Greg's place. He was flexible with our arrival, which was great since we were coming in from an 8+ hour drive that day. The house was clean, including the bathroom! (always important to me but sometimes lacking in the more affordable AirBnB spaces - but it was great here!) and the room was comfortable. The room was large, with a big deal that was useful for getting some work done. A ceiling fan kept the room at a nice temperature. The bed was not the most comfortable but I still slept very well. As Greg is night owl like we are, we ended up chatting on the patio a few hours for a couple of the nights we were there. I would definitely consider staying here again!

The space was comfortable and centrally located. Gregory was very nice and welcoming. The location, while very convenient, is also still being gentrified. I was asked for money as soon as I parked and there were a lot of people just roaming around at all hours. I live in a transitioning neighborhood at home so I was fine but it's worth noting if you aren't used to this type of thing.

Was only in Austin for one night. Greg was very accommodating and made the checking in/out extremely convenient to fit my schedule. Would definitely stay here next time I'm in Austin!

We had a very comfortable stay at Duane's place. He was very knowledgeable of the area and even made a list for us to venture off with. The room and beds were VERY comfortable, especially for two travelers, but would be very comfortable even for 4. Highly recommended!

Great place to stay in East Austin! Close to restaurants and bars and Duane gave us a lot of local suggestions. Really comfortable beds and nice en suite bathroom. We would certainly stay here again! Thanks Duane.

The room is very private and in a quiet neighborhood. Duane and his girlfriend have three dogs who are very quiet and sweet. There are great bars and restaurants just a short walk away! Duane gave us very helpful recommendations of places to check out. We were able to use the public buses and a ride sharing app called Fare to get around the city; there is no uber or lyft in Austin right now.

He made sure we were comfortable and did what he could to give us suggestions for fun. Good stay!
