The Historic Carriage House - Lower Level

Check out https://airbnb.com/h/upper-carriage-house if this listing is booked. Add logs to a roaring fire in a majestic stone fireplace. Make meals in a stylish kitchen and dine at a rustic table. Watch the goats play or listen to the birds and read your favorite book. You'll find kittens peering at you from the old french doors. With 10 acres and a gazebo in our large private park just a short walk to the Watauga River, you'll have plenty to do. We are a quick 7-mile drive to App State football games or concerts. In the winter ski or tube any of the four resorts an easy 10-14 miles away. Located in historic Valle Crucis (between Boone and Banner Elk), this residence is the entire lower floor of our recently renovated Carriage House. Access to the floor is via a private 100 year old custom oak double door at the front of the building. It is unlocked with a unique code on a Nest lock. The upper residence of The Carriage House is also available on AirBnB (https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/17944509) as a separate rental. We have installed extensive sound proofing between the floors but you still might occasionally hear a little noise. Our family lives in the historic farm house nearby and is available as needed. Most of the furniture in the residence is original to the property or the area. At 1,200 sq ft this two bedroom, two bathroom features two queen beds and one queen sized sofa bed. It has a fully stocked kitchen including Keurig coffee machine, stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, and kitchen basics for six. Apart from the antiques, everything is brand new. Additionally, the residence has a 50 inch flat screen television in the main living area. With the attached AppleTV, you can access your movie or music libraries via your Netflix, Amazon, or other related account. Keep in mind that internet is spotty in the mountains and our cell phone coverage is poor. You will have access to the entire Shull's Farm, including river front access to the Watauga River... just a short 5 min walk away. Explore the granite cliffs overlooking the river and valley or enjoy tranquil walks through the pine and spruce forest. The chicken house is a favorite... just follow the path behind the white house. Occasionally the chickens free range. At the chicken house you'll also meet our Great Pyrenees working dog, Bella. She is learning to guard the chickens but will soon be promoted goat guarder. We can easily accommodate two cars in the driveway. We live on the property and are available as quickly as you need us. We'd also love to tell you about the area, give dining recommendations, or things only locals know. However, if you prefer solitude, we provide keyless entry to the unit... just message us if you need us. We are a 10 acre working farm, with approximately 400 yards of Watauga River access. Access is a 5-10 minute walk from the Carriage House and includes a gazebo near the water. The fishing is great! Located in Valle Crucis, near Boone, Banner Elk and Blowing Rock, the Carriage House was used for horses on a farmstead 100 years ago. The Orignial Mast General Store is 1-mile away and the Blue Ridge Parkway is an easy drive. For a map of the farm visit: http://shulls.farm/ We have easy access off a county maintained road. No need for a 4 wheel drive vehicle during the winter to enter/exit property.

This 3-bedroom home with an upstairs sleeper sofa can sleep eight and contains sitting areas upstairs and down, both equipped with Cable TV and Wifi and a laundry room should you need it. The home was built in 1891 and has been totally renovated & updated with modernness. It was built by Major Joseph Warner, a Civil War Prisoner of War, as the Carriage House for his mansion just over the north fence. The owners have restored three Ft. Wood homes so far & each one has been crafted to assure a home environment. This is your private home to enjoy as you & your guests decide. Cross the road to reach the University of Tennessee Chattanooga Fine Arts School. Take a tour of local historic homes, and walk to numerous downtown dining and entertainment spots. Chattanooga's famed outdoor venues are only a short hop away. A city-owned bicycle rental station is just across the street. This quiet, safe neighborhood away from Downtown and MLK traffic noise is patrolled by both Chattanooga and UTC police. A very dog friendly neighborhood. Uber is everywhere - this is a college campus. Or driving to Downtown is less than 5 minutes. Great restaurants, great attractions like the Hunter Museum, aquarium, riverboat dinner, or just strolling through a neighborhood of the oldest mansions of Chattanooga.

New Riverfront Condo With Balcony in the City's Heart

Slumber soundly in a bedroom with Egyptian cotton sheets and room-darkening curtains. Start the day with a workout in the gym and a cooling dip in the pool, then head back for Keurig coffee and breakfast in the kitchen while viewing the 55" Roku TV. This condo is well equipped with everything you need to stay for a night or a 6 month stay! You have a fully stocked kitchen with all the necessities, a comfortable bed, plush bedding and towels, and a stocked bathroom with all the toiletries. Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash, Q Tips, Cotton Balls, Hairdryer, etc is all provided. A large HE washer & dryer are provided as well as a starter pack of laundry detergent, etc. A large Smart Flat Screen TV in the livingroom. This unit is on the 2nd floor and it has a balcony from the living room that overlooks Riverfront Parkway & Parkway Pourhouse. The guests will have full access to the entire condo including the furnished washer & dryer. They will also have access to the gym , pool and clubroom in the community. We are available via phone or text or even email during your stay! If you prefer we meet you when you check in, we will happily accommodate but for the most part, we leave you be to enjoy your stay privately! Take an easy 10-minute walk to the TN Aquarium, IMAX Theater and Children's Museum. Lots of restaurants are nearby as well, with Parkway Pourhouse and Scottie's on the River directly across the street. Catch classic events at nearby Ross's Landing. This condo has 1 dedicated parking space in the lot and then free parking on the street. This area is a short walk to the heart of downtown, easy access on and off the freeway, and plenty of Uber & Lyft drivers just minutes away. Potential for noise - This is a condo located downtown. Although it is minimal, there is potential for noise from cars on the street below as well as the unit above you.

Our home sits on over an acre of wooded property with privacy and mountain views You'll definitely want to have your own vehicle while you are visiting. There is so much to see! We have a long driveway that can accommodate your vehicles just fine. Uber/lyft pick up and drop off at our home so if you plan to partake in any of the local breweries you'll have nothing to worry about! Be bear aware. We are up in the mountains and occasionally wildlife can be seen from our massive deck. You may likely see some wild turkeys as you drive up the road. We rarely, if ever, see bears but we just ask kindly that you don't leave any food or trash outside overnight as not to encourage these furry friends to visit.

Built in 1911, this spacious home has been renovated to blend contemporary design and traditional architecture. Notice the bold feature walls and expressive artwork and head to the patio to enjoy a drink while cooking with the BBQ. The house features three bedrooms, two full baths, updated kitchen and basement with a washer / dryer, as well as a large front porch and backyard that features a outdoor TV, grill and table and chairs for six. Fully stocked kitchen features everything you'd need to cook. Super fast fios internet, Sonos sound system througout the house, 60 inch TV with AppleTV in family room, 60 inch TV w/AppleTV outside. The house is mere blocks from great restaurants like Kuba Kuba, Joe's Inn (my favorite) and Flora - just to name a few. Best coffee in town can be found at Lamplighter (5 blocks) and the best drinks are at Heritgage (2 blocks). About a 15 minute walked to The VMFA, Carytown shopping and The Museum District. Guests have full access to the house. I'm happy to assist you throughout your stay if you have any questions. Call or text. The Fan District is a superb location with tree-lined streets and historic homes. Head to the unique boutique shops, try some local cuisine in an independently-owned restaurant, and have fun exploring the Museum District. Walking or biking are your best bet. Everything is close and there's a bikeshare just down the street. Easy to use and lots of places to return.
