Family-friendly vacation rentals in Rocklin

We had a fabulous time and the back yard / pool area was a perfect setting for my large bachelorette. It seemed the host was anxious about having a group our size (23 women) yet did not list anywhere a maximum number of guests on the listing. It seemed we earned their trust through the stay though. Initially it felt awkward to have to text the host for things like turning on the hot tub or outdoor lights or pool slide, but they were pretty fast in response time and it ended up feeling pretty easy. Wish the kitchen would have had more kitchen towels, seems maybe not set up for full on dinner party use - but they did bring trash bags and replace the outside grill upon our request, which was impressive. Overall a positive experience! The grotto was lots of fun - we never left the property all weekend.

I booked this place for a weekend getaway with a group of girlfriends, and it immediately felt like home—so comfortable, welcoming, and beautiful! The house had plenty of space for all of us, and every guest had nothing but great things to say about the property. Desiree went above and beyond to make us feel at home, leaving thoughtful snacks and ensuring we had everything we needed for a great night. It was incredibly easy to unwind, enjoy each other’s company, and take in the gorgeous river view. The girls are already talking about when we can come back—can’t wait to book again!

Ryker’s place was incredible and his hospitality and service was top notch. Easy to check in/out, clear instructions, extremely responsive, and his beautiful home was exactly as described. Would absolutely stay here again.

Perfect base for visiting Sacramento and surrounding areas. Accommodation was excellent and was perfect for what we required. Close to local amenities and restaurants. We would recommend staying here.

I had another amazing stay at Peggy’s place! She is such a welcoming and friendly host who goes above and beyond to make sure guests feel at home. The space was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. Having stayed here before, I can confidently say Peggy is one of the best hosts I’ve encountered—always kind, responsive, and attentive. The location is great, and the little personal touches she adds make a big difference. Came here for a birthday trip and fell in love with cozy setting at this home. everything was clean and the bed super comfy. We used the hot tub and the experience was a blast as well as the decor. Absolutely loved our stay, and the very friendly welcome and hope to stay here again in the future!

Had an exceptional weekend at the Workshop for a wedding in town! Gail supplied everything you could possibly need and was so amazing in giving us a recommendation within walking distance for dinner and communicating as needed throughout the stay. Our accommodations were very clean and super comfy, checkout was easy-peasy. Highly recommend, it was truly wonderful - will be back (with the pup this time!) if ever in the El Dorado area again

Paula’s place is great! It’s really nice and the pictures don’t do it justice. The serene landscape, farm animals, and sweet antique decor make it feel like an escape to grandmas house! Complete with a sweet snack upon arrival.

We tried to come to Martin and Marcie’s place 5 years ago and couldn’t and now we finally managed it and it was all we expected it to be and more. Peaceful, beautiful surroundings and everything as described. The dogs came and said hello and stayed for a little while as well. Sad to go but a fitting finale to our trip to California. We were so happy with Cottage #2. It was cute and cozy and well equipped. The hosts were responsive and pro-active in communicating. Being able to sit on the deck and enjoy watching the river activities and also being able to hear the river at night was magical. We wish we had booked another night. We will be back anytime we come to Placerville area again. Thank you.

Tom was the most gracious host one could ask for. From booking to checkout, Tom made himself available for any and all questions. He provided some insights about finding the house and tips on maneuvering onto the property. He personally met me and my family at check-in, provided us some insights on the property and the area, and helped with access to the lake. The house and grounds are immaculate. Clean, well stocked kitchen, and fresh linens. The property has everything you could ask for with lake, pool and hot tub access. . The private setting is the ultimate topping on the cake. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to connecting with Tom for future trips!

We had an amazing experience at the cabin. The views were breath taking and it truly made for a relaxing weekend. It was very kid friendly and there was so much to do related to being outdoors. The hosts were very accommodating. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back.

Prior to check in all the way through check out, Christian was an extremely communicative host. I really appreciate that there were very clear instructions for everything. Some of us were flying in from out of state and Christian was very accommodating with an early check in. This place is huge and spaciously laid out. We hosted dinner for 12 people multiple nights and with so much space, we never felt like we were on top of each other. Our group spent a ton of time outside-enjoying the relaxing pool and lounging area. The property is maintained and beautiful. We had 3 kids with us who were obsessed with this house! Christian has so much for the kids to do that they never got bored. Seriously - between the cinema room upstairs, pool, water slide, sports outside, foosball, there was never a dull moment which is really saying something for kids! I’d stay here again when I’m in town in a heartbeat. Thank you Christian and your family for the wonderful stay, we sincerely appreciate it

We recently stayed at Don and Kathy’s beautiful home for our son’s wedding weekend and it was absolutely magical. Don and Kathy were incredibly hospitable, always easy to reach, and made us feel so welcome. The home itself is stunning—truly something to experience. The home is well-appointed and thoughtfully designed, offering both comfort and style for a truly relaxing stay. The surroundings felt straight out of a Hallmark movie, with autumn leaves falling and twinkling Christmas lights creating a festive atmosphere. It was cozy, inviting, and felt just like home. We can't wait to come back and stay here again! Thank you, Don and Kathy, for making our special weekend even more memorable!

The place was spacious, clean, and so comfortable. Best of all, it was at the perfect distance for cycling to Sac State. We were able to enjoy cooking in the exceptionally well-equipped kitchen and even took advantage of the garden and splash pool. Also, I was grateful to have a desk to work at. Honestly, there were so many wonderful aspects of our stay that I could go on and on. Needless to say, we loved every minute of it. Suzanne is a wonderful host! She is so kind, attentive to the needs of her guests. I am touched by her caring spirit. The cottage will always hold a special place in my heart.

Sandy's house is clean, comfortable, and absolutely lovely. A group of 4 of us had the house for 5 nights while attending a conference at UC Davis. The house was conveniently located (2 miles / 10 minute drive) and our check-in / check-out process was smooth. Sandy was so flexible about the check-in and check-out times as well, which made our trip all the more manageable. Leading up to our stay and throughout the visit, Sandy was always available and responded promptly to any questions or concerns. Thank you for a great stay!
