Green Valley, Sonoma County at a Working Winery.

PamelaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This is a nice home, a bit tucked away from much else. It is right on a walking trail, which was nice—turn left when you hit the trail, and it goes farther. The Ektimo winery tasting room on the property was a great place to start our wine tasting. The gentleman there was extremely knowledgeable, and the wines were all okay. It is a little bit of a drive to get to any restaurants or stores. The home was homey and comfortable and the table is absolutely stunning. I wouldn't say it is fancy or extremely well appointed but for the price it couldn't be beat. The goats, alpaca, and ducks on the pond were fun to watch and added a nice country feel to the place. The hosts were very proactive with instructions. It was super easy to check in. When getting ready to leave, we didn't have a 2 page list of things we had to do, which was nice since we had to leave early for a flight. I would stay there again!

Vacation Beach Gem by the River/Hot Tub

NickRating, 5 stars2 months ago
It's a nice place with super comfy beds and fancy bathrooms, as everyone says! Unfortunately the living/dining spaces and furniture are much less comfortable, the layout isn't the most conducive to spending time together, and the kitchen was missing some key items. To her credit, Hila was very responsive and even overnighted a box of missing supplies, and offered to fix issues quickly. But a lot of things weren't there as we needed them: a kettle, oven mitts, foil, the salt was almost out, only canola no olive oil, etc. While there were a lot of nice touches around the house, there were just as many small annoyances that felt like they wouldn't be tolerated if someone lived there. If you plan to spend most of the day out and just come back to sleep, wash up, and hot tub, this is perfect. If you want to cook and be cozy/comfy together, maybe not ideal? Top Quality Two Bedroom Home Near San Francisco

JoshRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Our stay was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Everything was clean, as described, and in good working order. We didn't have any issues or concerns arise. Fatima was responsive and friendly, and she provided detailed instructions. It's a 30-second walk to Solano Avenue, which is basically Albany's small "Main Street", so it was really nice being so close to the cafes and restaurants there. The shared driveway situation is something to be aware of, so just know that it may take some coordination with the guests in the other unit. While most of the street parking spots were taken on the street that the house is on, I found that the next street over had plenty of available parking.

Escape to Paradise: Stunning Home in Wine Country

AngelinaRating, 5 starstoday
They are fair and reasonable owners. Beds are very comfortable. House is perfect for large families. My two critiques would be that the full size bed in common area upstairs is extremely bright in the morning. Lastly, the master bedroom upstairs has a lot of afternoon exposure and since heat rises to second floor this does become a very hot room.

Spectacular Vineyard View!! SPA, Close to Plaza!

BryanRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
What a wonderful home. Some descriptions say "5 min from this or that" but this really is a very short drive to grocery stores, restaurants and the Healdsburg town square. BUT at the same time extremely quiet and serene. Everything is very cozy, the decor is peaceful, the kitchen very well appointed, bathrooms, water everything is clean and easy to use. Owners were very responsive to a very minor issue that was cleared up very quickly - good to know they are _right_ there if needed. Although there is a busy road you don't hear it because of the wonderful landscaping and waking up to a vineyard every morning? That was just fantastic. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely come back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Deja Blu. The location is perfection! Private, with beautiful gardens, only a hop, skip and a jump from the ocean. Falling asleep to the sound of crashing waves at night was divine. The home was clean and comfortable, and Barr was a lovely, helpful host. If you are looking to unwind in serenity, I highly recommend this home.

Hilltop Haven 🌅 view & hot tub

LisaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
David was so kind and left us with a well stocked, clean, lovely home. A quiet neighborhood with a beautiful deck looking out at the coastal range. We loved the hot tub, so relaxing. We saw a mother fox with her three kits playing for several minutes. Since it was spring, a lovely chorus of birds greeted us every morning with their beautiful songs. If we needed anything David was just a phone call away. Thankfully we didn't anything, because if we forgot something, the house was fully stocked. Thank you David.

Your guide to Napa Valley

All About Napa Valley

Ever since the famous Judgment of Paris in 1976, when American bottles beat out legendary French vintages in a blind tasting, Napa Valley has been a major player in the wine universe. Located 50 miles northwest of San Francisco, the valley is small by wine country standards — just 30 miles long — but with hundreds of wineries and tasting rooms, not to mention parks, lakes, museums, and some of the most highly acclaimed restaurants in the world, it can seem impenetrable. Set in the valley’s northernmost tip, the town of Calistoga is home to an array of thermal springs, hiking trails, a petrified forest, and grand architecture, including a historic chateau built in 1888 and a medieval-style Tuscan castle.

As you make your way south, you’ll find St. Helena, the birthplace of Napa Valley’s first winery and the heart of the valley with its tidy main street, farm-to-table restaurants, and art galleries. The area’s creativity is on full display at local art institutions such as the di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art and the Napa Valley Museum Yountville. And the Rail Arts District showcasing murals from global artists runs two miles along the Napa Valley Vine Trail in downtown Napa, with lots of detours in which to sample a glass of the valley’s masterpiece, cabernet sauvignon.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Napa Valley

One of the best times to visit Napa Valley is during the harvest season, from August through October. Foliage adorns the rolling vineyards, valleys, and vistas in shades of gold, crimson, and orange, creating an exceptional backdrop to the region’s lively grape-gathering. A film festival occurs in November and offers an immersive experience that includes wine, food, and film-screening opportunities at unique venues throughout the area.

Following that are the twinkling lights and holiday-inspired festivities that animate Napa during the winter. Many wineries offer holiday open-houses and specials on wine during this time. You may even want to hop aboard the Napa Valley Wine Trolley for a light holiday adventure. Spring brings balmy weather, yellow mustard flowers, and blooming fruit trees, including plum, apple, apricot, and quince, which ornament the vast landscapes. And summer follows with warm temperatures, local farmers’ markets, and optimal weather for enjoying outdoor recreational activities.

Indulge your taste buds with a trip to the Oxbow Public Market, located in the Oxbow District of Napa. You can pick up some treats to enjoy on the outdoor deck overlooking the scenic Napa River.

Old Faithful Geyser
