Secluded luxury cottage & hot tub

Surrounded by trees on 1/2 acre, our cottage in Kensington/ Berkeley Hills is a perfect country house in the city. Our relaxing light-filled retreat is decorated with our original textile designs, Kiran's fine art photography and has a hot tub under the stars.

    What guests are saying:

“Our stay at the cottage was wonderful! The location is in a beautiful area, however, we rarely wanted to leave the cottage. The cottage itself is surrounded by a forest, and we spent many hours soaking in the scenery and peacefulness, while relaxing on the deck, eating meals outside, and taking dips in the hot tub. The cottage itself was very clean and stocked with amenities that made our stay more comfortable. Laura and Kiran were great communicators and hosts, and we would absolutely love to stay at the cottage again!”

    Vintage Caravan ~ Urban Glamping!

~~UPDATE 3/13: Gigabit fiber coming soon! Note that our neighbor’s house is undergoing a full renovation. While it’s not always consistent, you may hear construction noises on weekday mornings.~~ Glamour + camping = glamping! - Centrally located to BART, UCB, & restaurants - BART (7 blocks) to SF in 25 minutes - Wifi, linens, towels, coffee, & tea provided - Big ol' yard with chickens - One of two Airbnb spots here, so you might meet some other travelers! It's like a hostel, but clean. ;)

    What guests are saying:

“Ginger and Lewis were very hospitable. The camper is just as pictured. The garden area and the seating right outside of the camper are adorable and picturesque. The area's like a perfect little oasis in Oakland. It was a very nostalgic experience and fun place to stay. No complaints!”

    Sparkling Clean, Peaceful Garden Cottage-WiFi-Yard

This cute cozy cottage is the perfect spot for a couple or solo traveler. Nestled in a fruit-tree filled yard, the space is bright and welcoming, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Situated in one of the East Bay's best neighborhoods and just a few blocks from BART and bus lines, this is the perfect spot from which to seamlessly explore most corners of the San Francisco Bay Area. With a wide variety of shops, services, and restaurants nearby, this spot is sure to please!

    What guests are saying:

“The location is very close to the BART station and there is a large shopping center right in front of the airbnb. The room was very clean and comfortable. The gentle sunshine and the chirping of birds in the morning allowed me to wake up pleasantly every day. When I opened the door, a lovely, friendly cat in the garden was sleeping peacefully. Check-in was also easy and smooth. Karen was a very kind host. Despite the house rules they were willing to respond to irregular requests for check-in. Because of my mistake, the room making team accidentally disposed of my things in the refrigerator because of my early check-in. When I returned that evening I was very upset and mailed Karen a bit rudely and angrily. Even at that time, Karen responded immediately and was really kind and sincere. She took care of the situation to my complete satisfaction with professionalism and empathy. Karen, I'm sorry to make you feel uncomfortable at that time after your kindness and consideration. One more time. Karen, thank you very much.”
