Vacation rentals with a kayak in Possum Kingdom Lake

The place was great and really clean when we got there. We stayed for 5 weeks and had a great time. They were amazing hosts and if we needed anything or had questions they were there. If we have an opportunity to stay with them again we will! 10/10

The house was amazing enough space to be with my kids and grandkids, would definitely be coming back. Amy was a great host as well she would respond fast and answered any questions we needed.

Our family of 4 (+ our dog) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Shorhaus on Lake Granbury. It was impeccably clean, the kitchen was very well provisioned and the beds were comfortable. We loved the game room and spent a lot of time playing ping pong & shuffleboard, but also really enjoyed cooking s'mores over the fire pit. It is an incredibly peaceful spot on the lake. The Canadian Geese and ducks seemed to enjoy it too! We didn't need much help, but both Mike & Christine were very quick & responsive when we had some questions. Loved it and we'd definitely go back.

The property was beautiful! Plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen was a little sparce with necessities, had to frequently wash silverware. Appreciated the well stocked coffee bar area! The one room was advertised as a queen bed and was actually a full size bed, which wasn't ideal for our multiple couple family, but didn't damper our stay too much. The walk down to the lake is definitely a trek and not advised for those who aren't very able. Our kids love fishing off the dock and the teeter totter! Very peaceful and relaxing! My messages were always timely addressed and staff was pleasant to deal with! Wouldn't hesitate to come back!

Sherry’s place was very cozy and well-maintained. It was more than enough space for the 5 of us for our girls’ weekend and had everything we needed for cooking, comfort, and relaxation. The outside sitting area was right on the water and a nice place to sip coffee in the morning, and the kitchen table was perfect for us to play games and eat in the evening. Downtown Granbury was fun to explore and there happened to be some kind of festival going on. Finally, Sherry was so responsive to all of our messages and all instructions for check in/out were clear. I’d highly recommend her place and would definitely stay again!

Great location for a long weekend stay. We were in town for a wedding. The view from the backyard was great, the rooms were incredibly spacious, and the kitchen well stocked.

Mara was extremely accommodating and helpful during our stay! Unfortunately our trip was cut short due to work but Mara helped us through it and we will be booking again if we come back to the area!!

Me and some my coworkers do travel work and was here working at the power plant and we had a long stay here. The place is great we enjoyed it and will definitely be staying there again if available in the future💯💯

I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful lake house! The home was spotless, warm, and incredibly inviting from the moment I walked in. I was greeted with a thoughtful basket of snacks, which was such a nice touch. The views of the lake were absolutely perfect—peaceful and picturesque. It was the ideal getaway and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing retreat.

So this is a nice place to relax. The views of the sunset are great. The place itself is nice, a lot like my cabin in South Dakota, so for us it was great. It’s not fancy but less fancy has its benefits. It is nice, however. The road in is pure Texas back country and will freak you out the 1st time, but not in a bad way, in a pioneer explorer kinda way. If you have kids they’d love it. We anchored our boat right out front for a few days but it’s shallow so if you have a deep-v type boat you might have to wade through a couple feet of water. But owning a boat you do that anyway if you’re living at all. So that was really nice although it makes it convenient to be more busy than you had planned, every vacationers curse. The kitchen amenities were fine, the bathroom was fine, it was all and all a nice place to stay. We were there for a week and kinda sad to leave the place. You will not have data on your devices and you’ll be surprised how much you like it. I have sprint and could text and call, which was a shame. My daughter has another provider and had no service at all, which was nice. The town of Graham is close, maybe 15ish miles, and it has everything, Walmart, many restaurants, all kinds of stuff, so it’s not like you’re a hundred miles from society if you want it, which you won’t. I’d recommend the place. The host Heidi is a great communicator but on the other hand, when you’re a guy like me that doesn’t want to communicate, she’s good at that, too, which was one of the nice parts Heidi probably didn’t even know she was doing, but I appreciated it, just being able to be and not be disturbed. Clean up after yourself, it’s a little home and not like a hotel that you trash and run. This was my 1st bnb type deal and I dug it a lot. No more expensive than a hotel, but a lot more like home.

This is our second year in a row going to Jan’s house. It’s an awesome space with plenty of room on the dock and the ability to moor your boat. She was very responsive and always friendly and accommodating. Can’t wait to come back again.

Mara and Jerry were FANTASTIC hosts! I meet them in person and they could not have been more friendly. Their house is even better than the photos. It has been completely redone inside and was even better than expected! If you are able to book this place in the warmer weather and enjoy the lake and outside, DO IT! Very friendly and responsive, even on a holiday!

The house was just as aspected! The back patio is a great place to spend the evening and the fishing is great off the dock at night. It’s located just a short drive or boat ride to the hungry fox and possum hollow. It’s off Broadway so you don’t have to worry about to rough of waves even on the windiest days. We will definitely be back! The host was proactive and made checking in and out easy!

What an amazing place to stay! We stayed over Thanksgiving and it was close enough to Ft. Worth to visit friends and Granbury where we had some work to do the next couple of days. Super peaceful and comfortable! Wish we had more time to be able to explore the ranch! The shower was fantastic and I was determined to use the hot tub even though it was cold outside! Really unique experience staying in a safari tent. I highly recommend it!

We had a great time . The hostess was very responsive and friendly. We enjoyed all the amenities - especially the big dock and kayaks! The space was small - but perfect for a weekend away with my husband ! Highly recommended 😁

Majestic. If peace you seek peace, you will find. Nestled in an enclave, the cabin is perfectly positioned to keep you cool while the sun passes. While sitting on the main veranda, you can enjoy the sounds of nature while watching your children enjoy the lake via fishing, swimming, or kayaking. The cabin is stocked with everything you could ever need. My only regret. I had to leave.

Excellent house with boat dock and ramp. Very clean, cool loft area, spacious yard, the kayaks were very fun. Easy to unload and park your boat. We kayaked out to the island with birds and it was one of the highlights of our trip. Best bird watching we’ve ever experienced because they aren’t afraid of you.

Absolutely loved staying here! Was the perfect get away! I will 100% be staying here again! They went above and beyond! It was storming the day we got in and we were offered an extra night stay for free to make up for the bad weather! We couldn’t stay but did enjoy a late check out. Such a kind thing to do and will absolutely not forget the generosity!
