Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Kalkaska County

We couldn’t have asked for a better fall weekend up north. The colors were fabulous and the lake was gorgeous. Ben and Alessia’s cottage is wonderful and has a prime location on the lake. They had all amenities that we could ask for in the cottage. All the beds were very comfortable and the living room is cozy. The fire pit outside was great to have a bonfire too. Everything was so nice and clean and there was easy access to whatever we needed. We had no complaints about anything and would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a great vacation up north!

Perhaps the nicest AirBnB I’ve stayed at. The location is amazing, the pictures don’t do this place justice. It is a true Gem. Host was great at communicating and making sure we enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend this location!

The house was very well furnished, yard was perfect for a nightly bonfire with friends and family. Close enough to town where you could easily get groceries, fuel, or simple go out to eat with no worry about it being a long drive. The house was located perfectly around multiple trailheads for ORV riding (within 20 mins). The only thing that I can say that was a downside to the rental was the amount of kitchenware. For a cabin that sleeps 10, there were limited plates, bowls, mixing bowls, and utensils.

Everything as pictured and described. We fit comfortably with plenty of room. Great location, close to everything. Host was easy to communicate with and friendly. Awesome gameroom for kids. Mother in law suite smelled a little musty, and also no closets or dressers in there for ur clothes. It would be nice if there was at least 1 dresser. But worked for what we needed.

We loved being very close to torch lake without being on the lake! It was a very peaceful area, with very friendly people around! They made it very easy to cook on the fire! And the river is soooo pretty! I was skeptical because we’ve only stayed on torch lake in the past, but it was actually way more pretty than I thought it was going to be!

We loved the cabin. It was perfect! Place was very clean. The cabin also had little things that made it feel like home; like a throw blanket on the chair. Host was very responsive. My kids loved the ping pong table. We can’t wait to book again.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. It is an absolute treat having our boat right outside at the dock. We loved listening to the loons. Mark, the property manager is super helpful (thank you!). The property is clean, clutter free, and the house is stocked very well with essentials. Michael accommodated a special request I had for our stay during booking and I really appreciated the opportunity. We would love to stay here again! My only complaint is the trip went by too fast!

Greg and Katrina’s home was awesome lots todo for people all ages. Everyone enjoyed the amenities and the place was really well taken care of. I’d stay there agin!

Brenda and Jim’s place is great if you are in the area as it’s very quiet and private, beautiful surroundings and not too far from TC or the Frankfort area. We spent the weekend for the local Ironman and it was the right choice. You get all the rest you need and are close enough to both the race venue and some other small towns with nice places to eat and chill. The property was very clean, well organized and really spacious. I’d totally recommend it.

It was absolutely beautiful. The trees had just changed colors and it was such a nice view! It was quiet and private. During business hours, you can hear the wine tasting room but that didn’t bother me at all. We stopped in and the staff were super friendly and helpful. So happy to have visited. Highly recommend!

Angela’s place was amazing! When we walked in, we were in awestruck by how classy the furniture selections and decorating were. Also, this was probably the cleanest Air BNB we have stayed in. Angela was very communicative, and she provided great recommendations for places to dine. We enjoyed the fire pit one evening, with the reflection of the full moon over the bay…so cool! We would love to come back to the area, and this place will certainly be our first choice for places to stay!

Could be a little confusing to get to without the clear instructions given at check in. Appreciated quick responses when we had questions!

An absolutely beautiful space and amazing hosts. I had the perfect stay with Monica and Gary, they were so friendly and helpful. The apartment is the cleanest rental I have ever stayed in by far, the view from the balcony is beautiful and the lake access is beautiful with a large sandy beach. I will definitely be staying here again when I visit lake city. Also, very comfy beds and a quiet peaceful neighborhood. Highly recommend.

This was a great stay! It’s close to downtown without being downtown. It was nice to be closer to nature with the ease of the city being a short commute. The place was exactly like the pictures and the host is very responsive.

Loved the space! Perfect for a night away. Enjoyed the hot tub, sauna and cold dip. My favorite part was sleeping with the windows open and hearing the river roaring.

We just spent Christmas week at Troy’s cabin. To say is was magical is an understatement! This cabin was absolutely perfect! Even better than the pictures display it to be!! Troy was an absolutely awesome host. He always got right back to me if I had a question! I really cannot recommend this enough! We are definitely coming back! Thank you Troy for a Christmas to remember!

The Two Duck Cabin was a great place to get away for a long weekend. The cabin was well stocked and we could’ve spent the entire weekend without leaving. Everything was very clean and there were things like extra mud towels for the dog to keep it nice and clean. The plot of land was so peaceful and listening to the turkeys gobble away was a good change of pace. This is definitely the place to go if you want to get away from busy Traverse City, but still be close enough to drive into town for dinner.

We visit Mancelona regularly to combine vacations with obligations. And we've stayed at numerous airbnbs in the area. Erin's place is probably the most remote, but perfect for daily trips back and forth into town. Most importantly, Erin and her partner fulfill the airbnb spirit more than anywhere else I remember. This host is so gracious, it's like being a guest at a friend's house... instead of merely a tourist. If you're looking for a quiet place to spend the evening gazing at the stars, you'll surely never find a better place!

The cutest airbnb! The location was great, beautiful scenery. The house itself was spotless, we had everything we could need and more. Chelsea was extremely helpful and responsive. I would absolutely love to come back in the summer and enjoy the back patio and lake!

I had a great stay here. The pictures were exactly how the cabin was. They had lots of amenities which we loved. We definitely will be staying here again when we visit the area thank you guys for the great experience.

Wow is the first words that come to mind. We felt so at home here. Went up for side by side riding for the weekend. I cannot say enough about this place. The home was so beautiful. Being able to use the shop to park was great. Absolutely 100% recommend you stay here. We will definitely be back.

It was a beautiful cabin, My family and I enjoyed the natural beauty all around. We enjoy the outdoors and there was a lot to do all around close by, overall it was an amazing time.
