absolutely LOVED Dorene and John’s getaway cabin! it’s very clean, and has a homey feel. they have anything you would absolutely need including, a bunch of dishes, towels, lots of extra pillows and blankets, and stocked on paper towel and toilet paper. their cabin is peaceful, we didn’t really see any neighbors but the group we did see were very friendly! this place was absolutely gorgeous, i definitely recommend!!

This was the perfect place for our weekend getaway. The house is in a quiet area with easy parking and views and an easy walk to the bay. Check-in was simple, with Kate providing great instructions for the keypad to let ourselves in. The house was cozy with all amenities as described, and we felt right at home. All the Traverse City attractions were easy to get to, and Kate provided great recommendations. We had an awesome time and would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay at Wildwood Lodge! The property is on a barely traveled road and feels secluded (only one neighbor is visible but it does not impede on enjoying any of the hang out areas). The house was really well appointed with amenities (towels, kitchen gadgets/utensils) and was kept very clean. Loved the oversized couch to hang out on and then front porch for morning coffee. The small front fenced in area was perfect for our pups. We will definitely be back!

Such a peaceful place to stay. We enjoyed going out on the lake with the kayaks every morning. It is very close to a charming downtown Gaylord that has shopping and groceries close by. We had a great time.

I had such a wonderful stay at this beautiful house! The home itself is stunning—stylish, cozy, and exceptionally clean. You can tell the hosts put a lot of care into maintaining the space. The surroundings were absolutely perfect for a little getaway—peaceful, scenic, and just what I needed to unwind. I couldn’t have asked for a better spot to relax and recharge. Highly recommended, and I’d definitely love to come back!

Overall great experience. The host made sure we were aware of anything going on and any maintenance being done at or around the property during our stay. Easy instructions, clean, cozy, affordable and was provided with everything you can think of! Hot tub was very relaxing. The only things I will add that brought down some of its ratings was since the home has such high ceilings I did notice that it must’ve been hard to clean. Also, if I remember correctly the listing stated 2 rooms with 4 beds. There are 2 beds in 2 bedrooms and 2 couches in the living room that fold down to make a futton type bed. It’s possible that this was stated in description and I overlooked it, but it was misleading to me. If I’m wrong, then I’m sorry! But if I’m right then maybe consider changing. FYI, hot tub water was filled very high and easily over flooded with 2 people in it. Great experience and great memories were made. Thanks again for allowing us to stay!

Great area and close to the boat launch for Lake Skegemog. Hiking trails are only a few minutes away. We booked last minute and Dominic provided an immediate response. A simple, yet great place to stay. 👍

Beautiful cabin in a peaceful setting. If you are looking for quiet, space and a short drive to Traverse City and beyond, this is your cabin. We had 6 adults and 2 kids and lots of room. Well stocked kitchen, grill and fire pit. Patrick met us upon arrival and asked if everything was in order. It IS in the country and there are critters nearby, however that is part of the charm. It was perfect for our group. Thank you Patrick.

My husband requested a secluded long weekend in a lake and this listing fit his request perfectly! The view was amazing and the location was very peaceful. There are close neighbors but either they were not there this weekend or they are very quiet. The house was very clean and well attended. I would definitely come back for another visit!

this was our 3rd stay at Troy's cabin and once again our family was pleased. we do a winter vacation, skiing and snowmobiling. I highly recommend this place based on location and the property amenities it offers. the driveway is narrow and if you have a trailer bigger than a 3 place it will be tight when there is a lot of snow. 4x4 vehicle highly recommended in the winter.

from the moment we walked in for our family vacation we felt so at home. the home was stocked with every amenity that you'd need for a weekend away. the kayaks were a lovely touch! home was clean and I appreciated the family oriented feel of this home.

Can’t say enough about our beautiful stay here. We are two couples so we only utilized the top portion but it was nice knowing there was a second bathroom that was easily accessible. When we walked in, we initially noticed the amazing views out of the picturesque windows. Loved the privacy and amenities (fire pit, dock, hot tub). I was a little worried about the temps with no central ac but the window unit did a nice job cooling the entire space including the two bedrooms. Lots of stairs but wasn’t a problem for our group. The hot tub works great and we appreciated the free firewood. Neighborhood bar is a short drive away and the food was good! The lake water was very clear and warm, great for a swim. We rented the boat for one day which was awesome and very easy to use. We will definitely consider staying again, it was hard to leave!

This cozy cabin had modern amenities but retained a rustic feel. Bedrooms were spread out which provided privacy. Both bathrooms were accessible from the hallway, not en suite, which worked well for our group of friends. Plenty of parking in the driveway. Although it was located within a neighborhood, it felt like we were deep in the woods. The host company was very responsive. We would definitely book again.

We go this this area every year to access Kalkaska ATV trails and Matthew’s place is perfect. Lots of space to park trailers, the location is a short distance from the trailhead, and the house is really cozy. We look forward to our next booking!

We enjoyed our stay! Everything was as described/expected. Loved being on the lake. (we didn't have great weather to be able to spend time outside to enjoy it, but it is beautiful). Only snafu was when someone hit a pole and we were without electricity for an hour or so, but that wasn't the hosts fault! We recommend this property. Also....check out the Yak farm nearby!

Brittany's cabin was a great launch pad for our fall foliage trip, with the location being almost equidistant from Traverse City and Boyne Mtn. The cabin is set far back from the road and is absolutely free of noise and light pollution- great for stargazing with a campfire going in the background. The interior of the cabin is modern, stylish, and well equipped. There's no centralized heating (as of Oct 2024), but a portable heater was provided in one of the rooms, which we never needed to use due to the warm bedding in the rooms being more than sufficient. A comfortable and enjoyable stay overall, would definitely stay at Brittany and Cody's again! Highly recommend!
