Cottage vacation rentals in California

It was a pleasure spending time at Mary and Royce's lovely cabin and surrounding redwoods. They were so friendly and welcoming...we felt right at home. We enjoyed their dog, Piper, greeting us whenever we came 'home.' Chickens and frogs were added fun. Hot tub was great and the cabin itself was very cozy and comfortable.

Definitely one for the books! We loved every detail. My partner and I, wished we would have booked a couple more days to stay. Even for one night, it wasn’t enough! Host was responsive and kind. We will definitely plan to book with him again when we visit Temecula.

We had a great time in this cozy cottage. The hot tub was so deep you could stand all the way up and be submerged! And the view of the ocean was awesome too.

Sarah was the perfect host and made our stay super easy. The property and the neighbourhood exceeded our expectations and made for the perfect time spent in Guerneville. We look forward to staying there again in the near future.

Loved our stay there! Not very many places allowed us to have all of our pups with us so we're very grateful that they were welcoming and accommodating. Their home was very clean and also included beds for the pups. Loved that there was a spacious yard for our pups to roam around in for potty breaks. Tom was very responsive and it was very easy to communicate with him. Would definitely love to come back one day for another pup trip

It was even more beautiful than the pictures! We loved being able to sit in all the chairs or chaises, listen to the birds, and enjoy the kitchen, decks, hot tub and living spaces. Sangeeta was always responsive and the instructions were clear. We highly recommend this place and look forward to another visit!

We enjoyed our stay at this very cute and cozy cottage. It was a very peaceful location and close by a beautiful Walking trail. It had all of the amenities, and we especially enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub in the evening.

This was such a cute little house in a great location. There are restaurants, bars, shops, and the best part is the beach that are all a very easy, short walk away. Can’t beat this location! And they have tons of recommendations for places close by. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

This house is beautiful and just steps to the beach. The house is completely updated and very clean! The cleanest rental we have ever stayed in. And the bed and pillows were so comfortable. We felt right at home from the minute we arrived. The location of this house is the best part. It is located steps from not just the beach, but from the grocery store, coffee shops, tons of restaurants and the best Newport has to offer. We hit up several of their recommendations and loved them all. Everything was so close that we didn’t use our car the entire week. Don’t hesitate to book this rental. We can’t wait to come back. Wonderful host and very responsive with questions. As far as for location: everything was walking distance and only drove to venture out to other cities. Would definitely recommend booking if you enjoy trekking to your destination, listening to the calm ebb and flow of the Carpenteria waves, lastly the local eateries and nearby parks.

I splurged a little for this place to live out a dream of staying on the sand and it was everything I hoped for. Ilan provided a ton of helpful info before I got there, Abe was super responsive and helpful while I was there and everything was as described. This location is absolutely bananas and we had the best time. Would love to stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay. We loved being a very short walk from the beach and only 15 minutes to the airport. The house was well-equipped and very clean. We appreciated having sufficient linens, beach accessories, and kitchen appliances, dishes and cookware. The kids loved the games and the boogie boards. The private patio and front deck were great spaces to dine and relax. The owner was very responsive and responded immediately to our messages. Next time, we will stay longer to explore the shops and restaurants nearby.

A Perfect Beach Getaway for us and our Pup! We had an another (3rd time?) amazing stay at this beautiful Airbnb! The location is unbeatable - very quiet, pet-friendly, and close to plenty of things to do! We spent time on local walks and soaking up the sun and playing in the sand at Cardiff with our dog. Oceanside itself has such a relaxed, welcoming vibe with plenty of great restaurants, cafes, and local shops to explore. The cottage was spotless, cozy, and incredibly well-equipped. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and the fenced yard was a huge bonus for our pup to enjoy some off-leash time safely. The hosts are always absolutely fantastic—super responsive, kind, and thoughtful. They made sure we felt welcome from the moment we booked and checked in throughout our stay to see if we needed anything. This place truly felt like a home away from home. We couldn’t have asked for more!

Very peaceful and quiet. For people that want to stay here, just an FYI that you'll have to drive 15 to 30 minutes to get anywhere to grocery store or into El cajon or any other local suburb of San Diego. Sometimes you have to be on the hard road, which I warn that it is a little danger sometimes with the curves and the traffic and then sometimes you have to be on the highway. But the place is absolutely gorgeous and And quiet and the home is just cozy. The place was very clean and more than equipped in the kitchen and the home. We will be back here again and again and again and again. Marina helped us through a very tough situation as we were in an accident and she was there every step of the way. I love her dearly.

Brian’s house is the perfect spot. 3 houses from the beach. Quaint nautical theme. He gave us great suggestions on where to eat. Very welcoming and enjoyable experience

We have stayed with Lisa multiple times in the past year. It’s like a home away from home. Very easy to get to and convenient to visiting friends and family. Very quiet neighborhood and cozy place inside.

Check-in was seamless, and Valerie was very friendly and quick to respond to any questions we had. It’s clear that she takes great care in creating a welcoming space.
