This is a great property. It was just as described - private, huge deck, amazing views, very clean, and great communication. The house was also very well stocked with everything that we needed. This cabin really felt like home while we stayed there.

Had a wonderful cousins weekend here! Was close to town, we were able to explore the city yet return to the home and relax in the hot tub. Hosts were very responsive and home was just as described. Thank you, would definitely stay here again!

Erika’s place was the perfect place for my family’s “staycation”. I loved that it was out on a county road but still close enough to TONS of things to do in every direction. I would recommend this place to anyone and hope to stay there again soon with my family!

Our getaway was absolutely ideal! With ample space for all seven of us, we found the perfect balance of comfort and fun. The two little ones had plenty of room to play indoors with the chilly weather outside. The kitchen was a dream, equipped with everything we needed to whip up delicious breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. We truly can’t express how perfectly this place catered to all our needs—it made our trip unforgettable!

Beautiful lake home! We really enjoyed our stay here, very close to Lake Superior and Gooseberry falls a short drive away. Everything was clean and cozy, our son loved all the little black bear decorations :)

We spent a week at this place. It was beautiful and relaxing. The trails were close to the property so we didn’t have to load up our trailers. Leah is very easy to get ahold of and she is very friendly. We can’t wait to return!

Gina’s place was wonderful! This home is stunning - it’s close to Bayfield but secluded in the woods which gave it a relaxing, peaceful feel. Lots of room and was perfect for our family vacation. I would highly recommend if you’re in the area!

Stayed here with my family for a trip to Ashland/Bayfield. The house was comfortable and inviting. Loved the kitchen. It was a great place to relax after touring the area. Host’s beach recommendation was perfect! We would certainly stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The location was perfect, super easy to find and a short walk to downtown and the lake. Quiet and beautiful neighborhood. The home was clean and cozy. Monica was extremely communicative and responsive. It was obvious that she loves hosting, loves Bayfield, and wanted to make sure we had a great experience. We did, and I highly recommend this home!

We absolutely loved staying at the Hale House for our joint bachelor/bachelorette weekend. There was plenty of space for a large group to spread out in the house comfortably. Each and every nook and cranny was thoughtfully and beautifully decorated. Lindsay had plenty of toiletries stocked for our group which was so helpful. The house is just a few minutes walk into town and to the ferry, so our group was easily able to access and enjoy everything the area had to offer. Absolutely gorgeous home and surrounding area. My favorite part of the weekend was riding the ferry to Madeleine Island and hanging out at Tom’s Bar. We would love to stay at the Hale House again someday!

Nice location in Ashland. Close to Lake Superior and historic downtown. Felt very safe it’s right next to a police station. Very roomy with four bedrooms. We enjoyed the classical craftsman style house with hardwood floors.

Location was incredible, short walk to everything you could want to do in Bayfield.

Altogether, my group had a wonderful time here in Washburn, and the place was great. Due to the towns location, we were the perfect driving distance from everything we wanted to do without feeling overwhelmed with tourism. The breezeway at the cottage was a great place for the kids to play and they even had tons of toys there for the kids to use. However, I do have to note that I really wish this place had more privacy in the bedrooms. None of the rooms had real doors (or locks) and instead they were bifold closet doors. The bathroom upstairs didn’t even have a lock on it. Another thing to consider as well is the fact that the driveway is very small and extremely hard to maneuver if you have a larger vehicle or SUV (nevermind MULTIPLE vehicles). My group is incredibly grateful for Sheryl letting us stay, and we hope to be back in the area soon! Even with the rain and air pollution, we were able to have a blast. Thank you SO much!

Great place and host. Highly recommend this little cabin on the lake. It was just what we had hoped for.

Our stay was fantastic! we were looking for a peaceful weekend away and this checked all the boxes. wood stove and sauna were ready to go and made the snowy evening perfect. kitchen was well appointed and had a wonderful view.

This place was absolutely perfect for a big boys trip. The place itself was amazing and had everything we needed. The surrounding area was beautiful and secluded and there was plenty of room outside for activities. Overall 10/10 stay it was the perfect weekend. Alyssa was a great host and did everything right.

Great stay! Everything was perfect for our family. The kids loved how big the deck was, the playground and of course swimming! Beds were 10/10 and cozy blankets. Stocked up with all you need too. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful place to stay while up in the North Woods, only 30 minutes to Ashland and 50 to Bay Field. Iron River had restaurants that were actually pretty good and I am overall very happy with the stay. Perfect place for the four of us.

What a beautiful home, relaxing space, and incredible views! We did not want to leave. That may sound cliche but believe me, we did not want to leave! The wrap-around-deck meant we could be in the breeze to cool down or not in the breeze when it felt too cool. There was a big storm system moving through one afternoon to evening. With all the gorgeous windows, we watched it hours before it arrived and hours after it passed. The lightning put on quite the show. I can only imagine how incredible the Northern Lights must be. Our hosts made us feel welcome, reaching out before our stay and responding to our questions. It is clearly a home that is well-appointed and well taken care of. It has a gourmet kitchen. When I’m on vacation, I don’t like to cook because it doesn’t feel so much like I’m getting a break. However, the kitchen is so well done, it made cooking fun. The views while chopping veg didn’t hurt either! What a great experience! Hope to return soon!

The place is great. Clean, and lots of little touches to make it feel like home. It’s only a few blocks from the main strip with a coffee place, a couple bars and pubs, and a grocery store. We found two beautiful places to hike within 5-12 minutes driving. Perfect location for a home base while exploring the peninsula and kayaking etc.

This was our second time staying at Rebecca and Ben’s home in Highbridge. Great hosts. If you want a home that has comfortable beds, plenty of room, well maintained, peaceful, very quiet, surrounded by nature sounds and right next to the beautiful Copper Falls State Park then you will absolutely want to stay here. Just don’t forget to bring insect repellant so that you can enjoy the outdoors.

Meredith was very responsive, friendly, helpful and accommodating during our stay. I highly recommend her well kept, beautiful home on the lovely shores of Lake Superior!! We enjoyed the shoreline, sauna and fire pit during our stay. The deck and rear enclosed porch were comfortable and made for a great spot for relaxing, reading, and having family game nights. The windows on the back of the home offer “superior” viewing with ease of opening to hear the roll of the waves! The furnishings were fresh, clean and offered enough comfortable spaces to relax. The dining room was my favorite spot as it showcased the architectural charm of the house as well as providing ample table space to have dinner, conversation and another option for family game nights. The location provided great access to all Duluth has to offer as well as coastal hiking spots. It was nice to have this beautiful and welcoming home to return to after a day of adventures!
