This cozy, rustic one bedroom cottage (325 sq. ft.) is just a 15 min. walk from downtown Jacksonville (3/4 mile) and 30 min. from Ashland. It has private parking, on the property. The owner is happy w/ pets in the cottage, but needs to know in advance that a pet is coming (maximum 35lbs) too. There isn't a full kitchen but it has a kitchenette with sink, fridge, microwave, hot plate and coffee maker, so cooking basics won't be a problem. Relax in the outside patio in the summer.

No photos can do justice to this wonderful, wonderful house. The location is perfect—you get a stunning view of Mt. Shasta, and the ability to see so many stars at night is absolutely mind-blowing! Not to mention how cozy the house is—beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. My friends and I are so thankful the universe led us to Janet's house; it truly was the cherry on top of our trip to Mt. Shasta. We’re already looking forward to coming back.

Karen’s home is an absolute gem. Filled with light, peace, and loving energy — it’s a magical sanctuary. The garden is beyond beautiful, like a hidden portal of nature and serenity. Had a lovely three night stay for a soccer tournament (2 adults, child, and tiny dog). Small, quaint, comfortable, great location—walking distance to Forage coffee and downtown. Saw roaming wild turkeys in the morning! Wren was immediately responsive and helpful with a bedding question. Had everything we needed. Our dog loved the little grass area. Not a negative but a tip, if you don’t love a firm mattress, I bought a mattress topper and it was magical. Loved the birthday book in the kitchen!
