Franco was always very quick to respond and accommodating to our requests. The house was beautifully decorated for the holidays, which was important to us as we were celebrating Christmas there. The house is in a very quiet area with a large yard.

We had the best stay. Maggie and Scott were very communicative and friendly — even helping us acquire a parking pass which allowed us to park on the streets near the house. The house is charming with skylights and an awesome back patio. Our dog loved sitting in the sun out back and also enjoyed meeting other dogs on walks around the neighborhood and in Stanton Park just to the north. We adored that each bedroom had an en suite bathroom. The location is stellar for anyone who wants to be in the adorable Capitol Hill neighborhood and easily walk to The Mall, Eastern Market, and Navy Yard. We look forward to staying again!

Great place to stay! Very nice home and was easy for us to drive to restaurants and tourist spots. The house was really nice, beautiful kitchen. Beds super comfy. Would definitely stay here again.

What a gem! We loved our stay at this charming farmhouse on a hill in Takoma Park. It is such a cozy space and you can feel how much love has been in this house over time. We felt right at home and loved the neighborhood and nearby Takoma Park, and we can’t wait to come back for another visit again soon! I highly recommend this for a very cozy and charming space with a very nice and convenient location with excellent hosts!

We had an amazing stay at this charming farmhouse w our young kids and elderly parents! The property was perfect for a relaxing getaway that we all needed. The chickens were a delight, and collecting fresh eggs was a unique experience. I cant tell you how much my kids love it. The pond added a serene touch, and the outdoor movie setup was a fantastic way to end our days. The host Hannah were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. She is so pleasant to work with and very responsive. She sent us the local recommended restaurant list and we love them all. We did a day trip to Washington DC easily from this location. Highly recommend this place for a peaceful retreat! Such an amazing airbnb stay and we will come back.

Just finished a weeklong stay at Jonathan's place. As soon as we walked in, we felt right at home. The place was clean, orderly, and well decorated (loved all the dance artwork, especially since my wife used to be a dance teacher). There was plenty of room for six of us (grandparents, Mom, Dad, and two kids) and the beds were comfortable. The house was nicely stocked with plenty of coffee and tea options. It was nice to have a deck to sit outside on and enjoy the local atmosphere and watch all the dogs playing in the park. It is a great location with quick walking access to the Shaw-Howard metro station, which we walked to almost every day we were there, and several local restaurants and small grocery/convenience stores within a few blocks walk. While sirens are heard quite frequently, this appears to be due to the nearby Howard University hospital traffic. There was never a time that I felt unsafe in the neighborhood, even when walking with my 11 and 13 year old children.

Patricia and Guillaume’s home and the grounds are absolutely lovely. Huge floor to ceiling windows out to the large yard in back. Big kitchen, great patio for barbequing, amazing pool with all the chairs, loungers, and floaties you need. Ping pong, pool table, comfortable, super clean, and really felt like you were invited into someone’s special place. This home is even better than what the photos and listing describe. The hosts are friendly, helpful, gracious, and excellent communicators. Highly recommend.

Her rental home was inviting, warm, and matched every description listed in the details section of the app. The home was cleanly, well organized, and arranged to be at the convenience of the renters/customers. Lovely apartment with many great restaurants nearby and within striking distance of DC.

Berhane was a very gracious host. He was easily reached. Quick check in.. Very quiet. Spacious porch. The area is beautiful, as is the home. It is five minutes from the Glenstone museum, which is open Thursdays through Sunday. It is about 20 minutes from Chesapeake and Ohio Canal National Historic Park. It snowed while I was there with my dog. It was as if the snow made the home and its surroundings more peaceful. We enjoyed our stay Berhane.

My family (spouse, toddler and newborn +pets) stayed at Kathryn’s for several months. We felt right at home. The house had lots of toys for my toddler to enjoy and we used the basement room as a dedicated play room. Great living space, comfortable bedrooms and a great location. Kathryn and her husband were both very responsive and helpful. Whether you are staying for a few nights or long-term like my family, I would highly recommend this place for the location and family friendly stay.

Carlos' place was perfect for our family's DC getaway! The space itself is beautiful--with a large, open updated kitchen, a comfortable living room, plenty of space in three bedrooms and three clean and freshly renovated bathrooms. The back enclosed deck includes a grill and lots of seating, and we enjoyed grilling burgers one of the nights of our stay. There is plenty of street parking, and nearby Fort Totten and Takoma subway stations both have parking lots (Fort Totten fills up early on weekdays) to facilitate carless exploration of DC. Carlos is a great host, and we would be back if we are ever in DC again!

This basement apartment is very comfortable, quiet & private. It was very clean. She provided snacks & water. The shower is excellent & plenty of clean towels. Especially nice to have a washer & dryer. Heidy was prompt to answer my text questions. Shes a very good hostess.

Amazing location very quick drive to DC, super fun spot to stay for a last minute getaway. Very cozy space and large backyard was perfect for my pups. Will definitely stay again in the future!

Jillian’s apartment was just what I needed for a quick stay in DC. The place was clean and had everything I needed. I didn’t do any cooking there but there was a nice coffee maker. Bed was comfortable and so was the TV room with a good couch. It is a basement apartment so there isn’t much in the way of windows or natural light, but I didn’t spend any time in the day there. Also keep in mind it is a solid 15-minute walk to the metro, so I ended up mostly getting an Uber to downtown (which was easy). Overall, a great spot for a short visit to DC!
