A beautiful location and cozy accommodations! The fireplace was our favorite part of the cottage! It was quiet and peaceful on the lighthouse grounds! Unfortunately I did feel the rug and couch were a little dirty.

We had such a wonderful stay at the Selkirk/Salmon River Lighthouse! We came to celebrate my mother’s 70th birthday and it was even more awesome than we had imagined it’d be. Christian was a great host, super friendly and helpful, communicative and flexible. He was so accommodating with our schedule and did a great job of checking in with us to see if we needed anything throughout our stay. We found the lighthouse clean and cozy and perfect for our needs, and loved the history and essence of the whole place. Christian delighted us with a trip to the birdcage and top of the light which really capped the whole experience. Swimming in Lake Ontario and exploring the beach was a true highlight for us. Kayaking Salmon River was a beautiful and peaceful way to start one of our mornings. (And Annie’s Diner in town serves great biscuits and gravy). Such a bucket list kind of trip, and a real true gem of a place.

The best part about this location is the uniqueness and the history. It’s a great place to explore, especially with fur babies.

The photos don't do the roominess of the home justice. It exceeded our expectations. We celebrated our family Christmas here in early December and the house was amazingly cozy in the face of low 20s with bitter wind chills. Well appointed kitchen and the linen service was the way to go (great suggestion Christina) Christina is the consummate host. No question or request too small and the little "extras" she provides is demonstrative of how much she cares about the experience. She went above and beyond in taking care of an issue that required an after hours visit by a technician. Not one thought given to the cost to her. It was all about making sure the home was perfect for our family. It was a wonderful experience and a magical place to spend time with family celebrating an early Christmas. Just what the doctor ordered. The place was very relaxing and comfortable. The location was very convenient and the jacuzzi tub was amazing! I can’t wait to go back!

Here’s a polished version of your review: --- Marty’s place was everything we could have hoped for in a snowy cabin getaway. The cabin was spotless, well-organized, and thoughtfully labeled, making it easy to find everything we needed. The views were absolutely stunning, and the peaceful, secluded location made for such a relaxing stay. The drive up was snow-packed, but with our 4x4, snow tires, and chains, we had no issues at all. We also noticed plows making regular rounds, which was reassuring. Inside, the cabin was cozy, warm, and uniquely designed and constructed. It was only about a 20-minute drive to Park City, so we were able to enjoy the best of both worlds—peaceful seclusion and easy access to town. If you’re looking for a cozy, well-equipped cabin, close to park city, this is the spot! Highly recommend and would absolutely stay here in the future.

I stayed a week at Barbara's place. It was a wonderful experience all around. Every morning I looked forward to having my coffee in the backyard with the nature preserve right there to enjoy all the birds. The Vistoso trail nature preserve that you can get access right around the corner was a beaitiful walk. Barbara was an exceptional host and Traveler (her puppy) was a pal. Hope to be back soon.

Great place to stay at when visiting Los Angeles! It was a very cozy and welcoming stay and Ron communicated well with us while we stayed there!

This place is so special. The setting is perfect. The decor is so fitting. Gazing at the water and hearing the surf is so calming and beautiful. The place is in a quiet neighborhood and is totally private (I was here in November when public access is no longer available). Marci’s instructions and directions were excellent. The kitchen is fully equipped with all sorts of pots, pans, baking equipment etc. You will definitely want to bring bottled water. The tap water is foul smelling.

Hosts were really responsive and helpful on all my questions and issues. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. The train noise was ~once every hour and I didn’t find it bothering. The kitchen had everything I needed. Netflix is provided which was nice. The location is much better than I thought. Close to highways. Things I wish could be better: The ventilation in the bathroom. There was no fan. The sofa was old and it sinks too deep when sitting. Overall it was a pleasant stay and I would like to come back in the future.

Cove Point is a special place. I wish we had more time there. There is lots to do in the area but it is such a peaceful and private spot that we wanted to spend more time exploring the beach and relaxing on the porch. We had the most beautiful sunrises during our stay. I expect we will be back someday.

It is a wonderful property with beautiful views of Lake Huron! It was a very cold winter weekend when we stayed so we couldn't enjoy outside much at all. The game room was great, still cold even with a few heaters on but was able to play some games. The house is wonderful and spacious, comfortable beds and plenty of amenities throughout the house! Would love to stay here again when its warm to enjoy the beauty of the lake and amenities that are outside. Fantastic place!

Was an amazing location, house and host. Let us use all his water sports equipment free of charge. He gave us a house tour of the whole accommodation which was incredible. Lovely guy! Made sure we had the best time as he wasn’t bothered about the noise being made he just wanted us to enjoy ourselves. will definitely be back soon! highly recommend.

My husband and I had a great time at the lighthouse and it was the perfect weekend getaway! We really enjoyed the fire pit and outdoor area. I loved the beach vibes.

Bradley was a very responsive and attentive host. Everything we needed to know was provided ahead of arrival with plenty of time. The home was beautiful and truly a relaxing setting.
