From the wife : My husband and I stayed here for three nights in Oct 2024, with goals of enjoying the fall foliage and waking up to the sound of lapping waves. Mission accomplished, but with SO MUCH MORE, thanks to this wonderful property. The photos do not do the place justice, in my opinion. The views can’t be beat, and I’ve never experienced a more silent place than on that dock-end, in the middle of the night. I think all the other cabins were occupied, but we only encountered people one time during our visit. Everything was intuitively located for the comfort of the guest (right down to the lighter, kindling and plenty of covered, dry wood at the fire pit). The bed and bedding were very comfortable, the entire place was very clean. We really enjoyed both the fireplace inside and the firepit on the beach. Our family had a wonderful time at Larissa’s farm. Our three kids loved working on the farm - learning, contributing, and being outside - and Larissa is just such a kind person who was super patient with the kids. The apartment was great, everything you need for a short stay, and was just what we were looking for, clean and well-kept. Larissa provides a ton of info about stores and restaurants and activities nearby, and we just had such a fantastic and relaxing time. Highly recommend!

This place was fantastic! Super cozy and had everything you could need. Ann was a great host and included some baked goods that were delicious! Our two dogs loved the spacious backyard as well. This was perfect for a quick getaway from the city - would definitely stay here again!

This was our first time at the Barn. There were 8 of us. We had plenty of room. Plenty of parking. MaryBeth and Doug are extremely friendly. We enjoyed hearing about the history of the Barn. Will definitely book there again next year.

We are return guests to Karen's property. It is simply amazing; so clean, comfortable, homey and as my daughter said, it is just like a Hallmark movie! We are so grateful for Karen's hospitality and always, always look forward to returning! Thank you Karen for a great stay!!!

My wife and I needed a getaway retreat and The Barn at Whiskey River Retreat was exactly what we needed - a quiet, beautiful space to reset and reconnect. Dilyse and Jeff were very responsive hosts, kind, and proactive in ensuring our stay was the best it could be. We would highly recommend staying at The Barn if you need a decompress or reset, or just a quiet place to collect your thoughts and reflect.

We stayed here for a weekend getaway and absolutely adored every minute of it. Michele and Dom are the sweetest and they have put a lot of care into making the Blue Barn and The Farm into the relaxing and beautiful place it is. This place is a must if you are visiting the area. It was just so cozy and peaceful. Looking forward to staying here again in the future.

Wow! This was one of my top favourite stays of all time. The pictures do not do it justice. The drive in is gated and private, we arrived at night and saw such beautiful Christmas lights on the trees, in all colors, across the yard.. so neat. The barn has so much adorable western charm. Hilary welcomed us and gave us a tour of the place, attending to all the details. Such a wonderful and super friendly host! Everything in her home is quality. It felt like a luxury stay. The cozy floor plan was so fun for the kids, lots of space. I forgot my body wash & found myself in luck that she had some there. My husband needed the WiFi for a work meeting, it was easy to get connected. In the morning, we were greeted with all three ponies and visited with the highland cows on our way checking out. We just loved the whole experience of this farm so much. It was easy to get to town and we found a cute coffee shop nearby. The home and really the whole area was very cute, would definitely recommend!

We had a great stay at Sunshine Barn and only wish we'd had more time and warmer weather to enjoy the outdoor amenities! We would definitely stay there again and hope to find a time in the spring or summer to return. Thank you to our hosts for providing the perfect landing spot for our overnight in Stafford!

The Barn is amazing!!! Lots of space with everything you need. Each bedroom has its own bathroom so there is no sharing. There was always something to do, whether you like pool, golf, darts…this place has it all. There was a lot outside but it rained during our stay so we didn’t get to get out and enjoy the fire pit or outdoor golf area. The furnishings are beautiful and made us feel right at home. We didn’t want to leave! We have already booked another stay for next year! Thank you so much for having us. We can’t wait to come back!!

Literally can’t say enough good things about this spot! Super private, clean and peaceful! Took my husband as a surprise birthday mini get away and we both loved every bit of it! Anna was so helpful and responsive I can’t wait until we are able to go back!

Dans place was perfect for us, super clean and comfortable, we really liked the rustic decor with the modern amenities . We hope to stay there again.

This is our fourth time coming here, and it’s been incredible every single year. We love having Thanksgiving here with our best friends, and this location is perfect for our growing families!

We had a wonderful a weekend stay here. Loved seeing all the animals & getting to interact with the cats, dogs & horses. Julie & her husband were very friendly & gave great local recommendations & a fun golf cart tour of the property. The bed & couch were extremely comfortable & the kitchen supplies/snacks were great to have on hand.

This place was amazing! I loved how private it felt. And the place was well-stocked and well-furnished. We felt right at home with our four young kids. I loved the intentionality and attention to detail present in the home.

We had a lovely stay at Kirsten's while in Bellingham for a wedding. The house was perfect for what we needed and the kitchen was very well stocked with appliances and essentials for cooking. It was nice having the animals outaide to say hi to and there was plenty of great seating options outside so you could always get the sun. Kirsten was always quick to respond and brought us a clothes horse when we required one. Would highly recommend!

The space was immaculate, amenities were outstanding, I would recommend this to anyone. We will definitely be requesting to book again next year.

Our third stay at The Barn at Sharps Run and as always it was wonderful! Great location, clean as always and Brenda is a wonderful hostess!

Came down to fish Guntersville for a few days. The "Barn" was very convenient to the boat ramp, easy check in and check out. Having a garage to park boat in was a plus. Would stay again.
