This is a wonderful place! The views are spectacular and the house is very cosy. Even on a rainy day it’s a lovely place to be. The hosts were responsive and kind and they even have a local handyman that was able to come and fix some minor issue that we had.

Highly recommend staying here if you get the chance. Super cozy, not far from town, and the doggie family members felt right at home, too.

My family of 5 adults had a wonderful, peaceful stay. A few of us rarely left - it was so nice. Others enjoyed nearby hikes. We all cooked a lot so the well stocked kitchen was great. The home had every pot, pan, utensil we could possibly want, and Surf Market and Gualala Market had everything we needed (including Duck Fat!). The house was warm and cozy (great fireplace, lots of wood, excellent heat) despite all the amazing windows and skylights that looked out on the dripping redwood forest. The hot tub was used repeatedly. Furniture was comfy for readers and we all had a good time binging on favorite shows in the evening. lots of cozy blankets, towels and comfy beds/bedding. When we come again (and we will!), we might throw a few table top task lights in the car (or perhaps they are readily available had we asked) b/c we could have used brighter light for cooking in the kitchen, and activities at the dining room table. All in all, a winner for us!

Had a great stay. The house was exactly as advertised and how it looks in the pictures. Fireplace inside worked. Kitchen well stocked with useful pots/pans/coffee pot/filters. Hot tub was clean, turned on and ready for use. Check out was easy, no long list of chores to be done. Dishes in the dishwasher and lock the door behind you. This was a breath of fresh air after some less than fabulous Air bnb stays. Would stay here again. Watching the whales while sipping coffee in the living room was just icing on the cake! There's a nice little trail nearby that leads to the bluffs and a rock that was packed with sea lions too. Quiet neighborhood and a great night sky full of stars!

We had a wonderful stay! The place was nice, clean, and comfortable, offering what we needed. The scenery was absolutely beautiful, making it a perfect spot to relax. We truly enjoyed our visit.

We had a great time here. There were a pair of bald eagles in the tree just above the house. The lake is beautiful and the house has a ton of amenities - an office space in the event you need to work, plenty of space, and a decked out kitchen. Hot tub was great for watching the stars.

We had a wonderful stay! Snuggled in the woods with a rushing creek. It was really peaceful and a clean place. Would love to stay again.

John’s garden sanctuary was just as amazing as I remembered from my fiancé and I’s last visit. We’ve been wanting to visit Fort Bragg during the winter season and I couldn’t have imagine a better place to stay. Everything was perfect. And John stopped by to say goodbye to us when we were packing up the car. So great to see him again. We celebrated our 7th anniversary here a little over a year ago, and now my fiancés 29th birthday. I can’t wait to stay here again in the future, this place holds a special space in mine and my partners hearts

My family and I had a fun, cozy stay here over Christmas. Enjoyed the hot tub, cooking in the kitchen, comfy beds with nice-quality linens, and the mellow Mendocino vibe. We would definitely stay again. Thank you, Jennifer and Amy!
