House vacation rentals in State College

Our stay was super peaceful, cozy, and home like! The home is older and love that type of house this is the place to be! We loved the integrity of the farmhouse! The hosts were super delightful to work with and very responsive!

My crew enjoyed the accommodations (enough room for all) and the outdoor space was great, as the weather was good. Veronica was very responsive when we needed and left great details for when we were there. My crew especially appreciated the cappuccino machine.

Beautiful home on a very private road. Unfortunately, we werent there enough, due to other activities we had planned, to enjoy the outside area. The house was very clean. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything you would need.

We had a very nice stay. The house had lots of space for everyone in our group. We had 5 people stay. In addition we had our student and girlfriend visit and eat with us. So much room for everyone to spread out or to be together in the kitchen and living room. There was a new deck which was lovely. I was really impressed with how soft the water was! As someone who has very dry skin, the soft water was a treat for showers. It was great to have a washer and dryer and the drying racks in the lower level were awesome. It was close enough to PSU, making it convenient to drive to anywhere on campus.

Great stay! Host gave great instructions and was responsive. Clean house in quiet neighborhood perfect for our family stay for Gymnastics Regionals.

We had a great stay at Brenden’s, the place was very well maintained, and provided plenty of room for four of us (2 adults, 2 kids under 7). House is very cozy and well equipped, even though there are some neighbors around the area, you still get plenty of privacy and nice surroundings. Kids loved the fire pit, didn’t get a chance to use the grill this time but it was in good shape. Great communication from the hosts, look forward to staying again on trips up North.

Not only is the James Creek property beautiful, it was perfect for multiple families! We enjoyed all of the amenities-hot tub, decks, ping pong, basketball game, but mostly the kitchen area! It was the perfect arrangement for us to come together to celebrate my daughter's graduation from Penn State. The drive to campus was not bad...a little over an hour. Dawn was also super responsive and we had everything we needed!

Stayed here with my best friend for a last minute getaway and it was beyond our expectations, Love the views and the location, the hot tub is wonderful, the home in itself is so beautiful and roomy, had everything you could possibly need if you plan on cooking! wineries about 15 minutes away (had such a fun time!). Only thing I would warn you about is upon check-in you’ll receive a message from them and it will have the Wi-Fi details in it, however, the actual correct Wi-Fi information is listed inside of the home! Took me a minute to figure that out lol.

The Sleeping Lion was perfect for our family as we celebrated my daughter's graduation. The home was well equipped and had everything we needed for the long weekend. SherNaz was an excellent host for arrival information to departure instructions. Everything was perfect!!! Excellent choice if you are staying in State College!

The home was clean and in a nice quiet neighborhood. The hosts were very friendly and responsive. It had everything you would need for a pleasant stay. The location was perfect for access to Black Moshannon and Quehanna Wilds and countless other outdoor activities. Would recommend a stay.

Great place to stay. Close to campus but yet far enough away that it felt like home. Host was great. Even stopped over during our dinner party to introduce herself and make sure we had everything we needed and make sure we knew how to contact her. Overall a great place! If our daughter wasn't graduating we'd book there again!

We stayed here for my daughter’s Penn State graduation. The house was immaculate and even better than described. The host had a huge basket of snacks and water bottles at the ready. This was a life saver because after driving 4 hours, we were rushed to get ready and raced to the 1pm ceremony. There was no time to stop for food and we were all starving. The host had the bathroom stocked with plenty of towels, toilet paper, and toiletries. Parking is off street and the long driveway enabled us to park 3 cars at one time. It was very easy to get to campus within less than 10 minutes. I highly recommend this host and property for your State College events.

Another great stay while attending the Pennsylvania State fire Academy.

We chose Charming Creekside Cottage for its proximity to Camp Woodward. It proved to be a peaceful respite for our family. The creek is a welcoming focal point and lulled us to sleep at night. Breakfast items were generously provided. The home was well maintained and artfully decorated, with a great library selection. It had a warmth and energy, and our kids immediately felt at home. The Meandering Mallard was the only restaurant we visited nearby, and it exceeded expectations. Writing this from home, we already miss the creekside sound at night and will have to settle for a noisy air conditioner instead.

House was very remote, but there was a small store about 10 min away for essentials. We planned our meals, shopping and excursions in advance, so we really didn't need to make any special trips. House was huge and had everything we could of needed. The Co-Host reached out to us a couple of times about mowing and opening the pool, making sure we were OK with it. We had a beautiful rainbow 🌈 to admire and the serenity of the home was exactly what we needed to reset. On the last night our Co-Host brought us a homemade Strawberry pie. I highly recommend this rental for anybody looking to sit back, relax and enjoy the quietness of the area.

The place was wonderful. We enjoyed every part of the house, felt like home. The pool was amazing, we loved it.

Amazing property, you get everything. The interior of the house was very nice with plenty of space and rooms. The price I paid was almost unbelievable for what I got. The only downside was the water pressure in the master bedroom, it was a little low. We were informed the hot water takes a bit to heat up which was accurate, but after heating up there was no real way to turn it down. Other than that the trip was a 10/10!

We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed all the house had to offer. The house has picturesque views looking over the rolling hills and farmland making it a very peaceful stay. It was the perfect getaway weekend and we’d enjoy going back again sometime soon!

You could tell that this home was well cared for and loved. Very clean, very warm & inviting. Beautiful quiet surroundings. Only wish we'd have found this place a few years ago while our daughter was still in college. Would highly recommend.

This house was in a great neighborhood and perfect for our stay in State College! The beds were super comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked and perfect for a family meal post graduation. We would definitely stay here again.

Host was quick to respond and accommodating. I had a wonderful get together with family here. There was enough room for me to host our large family dinner. The kitchen was well stocked. Everything was clean, comfortable and updated. A very homey feeling. This helped make my visit home one of the best visits in a long time. ❤️❤️ Thank you
