Monkstadt 1745 - Luxury Lodge Lady Margaret Suite

Escape to Monkstadt 1745 and experience one of Skye's most historic homes in the peaceful setting of the Trotternish Peninsula Monkstadt was involved in one of the greatest pieces of Scottish history as Bonnie Prince Charlie came ashore after fleeing Uist in 1746 and hid in a cave only a few hundred yards from the house. The owners of the house at the time, Lady Margaret MacDonald and Flora MacDonald, helped him to evade capture from the Red Coats which meant he eventually escaped back to France

The interior of the restored train carriage features a wooden ceiling with exposed beams and blue-green walls. A modern kitchen with dark cabinetry is visible, complemented by decorative items. Natural light enters through multiple windows, enhancing the spacious feel of the layout.
