Bed and breakfast vacation rentals in Skye

Sadly, we only stayed 1 night as part of a bigger journey but would have no hesitation in recommending Woodend as a great place to stay. Location, first and foremost, is fabulous. The view, from every window and in all weathers, is wonderful. Sandra was a warm and welcoming hostess. Room and en-suite were comfortable and clean. There’s a beautiful guest lounge too. Continental breakfast was varied and ample. Absolutely no complaints.

Very nice location not far from Skye island. Anne is a very nice person, quite helpful. Also the included breakfast was quite filling and satisfying. A comfortable place to stay at if you want to discover this part of Scotland !

John is a wonderful host with a very nice, quiet, clean room available for those who are walking the West Highland Way or want to explore the beautiful surroundings of Kinlochleven. John is very hospitable, knowledgable and tunes in on what his guests need or prefer. A very recommendable stay and truly enjoyed my time in Kinlochleven. Thank you, John!

Great quiet place tucked away off the road, very easy to find. Ian makes a great homemade hot breakfast to start your day! Lovely sitting room that we spent a couple nights in meeting and getting to know other guests. Close to the ferry terminal as well which was helpful for our early morning out. Thank you!

The Mornish Farmhouse was perfect for us. The location was peaceful and idyllic, yet well connected to the surrounding villages. Our room was very cosy with plenty of thoughtful touches. We loved the sea shells on the bathroom walls. Katja couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful in welcoming us and giving us tips and recommendations for local places, and we enjoyed chatting to her every day. Her fantastic breakfasts of fresh eggs, homemade organic jams, breads and yoghurt, and fresh coffee were the perfect way to start each morning on Mull and we really appreciate the work that goes into it. I had a wonderful stay at Ornum Cottage, a charming bed and breakfast near Beauly and close to Inverness. The peaceful and scenic surroundings made it a perfect retreat, and the location was ideal for exploring both the countryside and the city. The cottage was cozy, clean, and well-equipped, with a delicious breakfast that added a special touch to the stay. The hosts were attentive and provided helpful information, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience. I highly recommend Ornum Cottage for anyone looking for a tranquil escape with easy access to Inverness.

We had a truly wonderful stay with Laura at her B&B! The B&B itself is cosy and the room was comfortable and has everything you need. And Laura is an amazing host! We really appreciated her tips for a day activity. Breakfast was also great. In short, an amazing place to stay. We highly recommend it!

Glyn and Lyndas place exceeded our expectations. It was the absolute perfect place to unwind and cozy up. Any window you look out of , the views are breathtaking. They couldn’t have been warmer hosts either with attention to detail and so much kindness. The breakfast they curate for you in the morning is so special. We will be back!!!

Absolutely fabulous and great value for money. Welcoming hosts and full of useful advice for our ongoing travel around Scotland. The surroundings are breathtaking and the food we had was beautiful. Such good value for money. Roland was even kind enough to lend us his kayak to go exploring. We had a wonderful time, thank you to you both.

really enjoyed staying here. The hosts were very responsive and helped us out. The room was very clean, having a bath in the nice big bathroom was fantastic, and having breakfast provided was great. Appreciated all the effort put into the stay, the hosts clearly care a lot. The area itself is lovely with nice walks and scenery.

Total honesty: as we braved the unlit, one-lane road back to Papillion, I was a little worried. But I should not have feared — the hosts were nice, the B&B space was pristine, and the breakfast every morning (with tea and espresso options in your room on your own schedule) were perfect. James and Rachel have clearly put a lot of thought and effort into making people comfortable, and they did a fantastic job. SIDE NOTE: If you do stay here, Dunvegan is not far up the road. The castle and gardens are excellent, and The Old School (restaurant) is superb.

Clean, nice room, as advertised. Bed was more comfortable than the hotel we stayed at the previous night! Highly recommend.

Amidst the beautiful green forested hills and the valley of the River Affric lies the delightful B&B owned by Sue. She is a heartwarming personality and, along with her family, takes good care of our scarce natural resources we have on this planet. The place is comfortable and rustic. Filled up with many guests it can perhaps be a bit noisy because of the wooden floors, but for us this was hardly present. Another great aspect is the breakfast. Sue makes a wonderful cooked and sereals breakfast with also vegan / vegetarian options 🌱. Very nice Sue! For those who want to enjoy a dinner, do not count on the café/restaurant nearby to be open.

I had a wonderful stay at Sarah and Yorick's home that has been built with much thought and love. They have done a great job at carving out a safe space, which is further amplified by the vast nature and stillness at the doorstep. Meals using vegetables from the garden with other guests facilitated eclectic discussions and I learned a lot. A great wee get-away.

We absolutely adored our stay, there are so many places to stay in Fort William, but we could not recommend Colin’s place highly enough. Beautiful room with incredible views, clean and the breakfast within the room went above and beyond our expectations. Good parking and all round a really wonderful experience

Amazing well maintained place with a serene view from the room as well as the portico! Colin is very helpful and friendly, we stayed late at night outside on the chairs, he was very friendly to accommodate the late timings; lucky enough to see slight northern lights. Definitely coming back here

The accommodation is in Morags home in the spare room with a nearby bathroom. It’s a real example of the original intent of Airbnb. Morag is delightful and very helpful. There is a good range of inroom breakfast options with home cooked bread. It’s close to the famous Inverewe Gardens in a lovely coastal highland setting.
