Cottage vacation rentals in Skye

Another long stay at Forge End has come to an end for my self and work colleague. Again a big thank you to Alea for accommodating us and looking after us over the past 13 weeks and during the booking process. Forge End has been a real home from home for us and has made a long period working away from home a really enjoyable. Your home in Applecross is real find for us and if/when we are required to visit Applecross you will be our first choice every time. Thank you again from both of us.

One of the loveliest places we've ever stayed! Superb and spacious accommodation, beautifully decorated and really well & thoughtfully equipped - it will *exceed* your expectations. With the sauna and hot tub, it's not easy to drag yourself out of the house! And to top it off, the view across the loch is utterly mesmerising. Vivienne was a great host, letting us know everything we needed and leaving a lovely welcome pack. The house is in a peaceful location that is still handy for the main road and great for interesting local walks .... if you can drag yourself away! Can't recommend highly enough 😊

Absolutely loved our stay at Kinloch - grandparents, their kids, and then their kids and the dog! Such a fantastic warm cosy lodge, will definitely be back! The garden is wonderful, all fenced in, great for the dog, walk down to the loch for a swim, up to the hot tub, then firepit for marshmallows - couldn’t beat it. My favourite Air BnB yet, absolutely loved it 🥰 . Thank you 🙏

Wonderful place and hosts! Caroline and her husband were wonderful, made our anniversary very special. The wood fired hot tub was such a delight after some long hikes in the mountains and they made sure it was perfectly heated for us each night. They went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. left is some treats that were amazing and it's just such a cozy cottage. We absolutely loved our stay here.

Roskhill cottage is awesome. We spent 5 nights here and made our stay truly special. The house have everything you may need and more, the beautiful view and garden filled with flowers, the BBQ hut it’s a great plus, comfortable beds, impeccable clean, good size bathroom and shower, close to little groceries stores, delicious bakery and good coffee, Dunvegan Castle and gardens and fantastic walkings around, plus gorgeous Coos cows! Really worthy place. Highly recommended.

Great accommodation, hot tub was excellent and warm. I would say 4 logs then 1 to top up after 50 minutes on a mild day and the water temperature would be perfect. (I think I might get one). Beautiful surroundings and great location for Inverness and Loch Ness. There were all the mod cons in the house. We fell in love with ‘Roger’, the automated lawn mower in the garden. We would definitely come again if in the area.

We had a lovely stay at Chloe’s place in Fort William! The home was clean, cosy, and well-equipped for a comfortable stay. The deck area was a peaceful spot to relax and enjoy the surrounding nature. The check-in process was smooth, and the location was ideal—close enough to town yet quiet and scenic. Would definitely recommend this spot for anyone visiting the Highlands!

Wow! What a gorgeous place! Stunning. Spotlessly clean, spacious and very comfortable, this cottage is an absolute delight - a real home from home and a little bit of luxury after a long day of driving. Our stay at Alistair’s place on the Isle of Skye was simply excellent. His house is cozy, spotless, and beautifully decorated; we truly felt at home there. Alistair’s hospitality was absolutely outstanding—he was friendly, attentive, and exceptionally helpful, going far beyond expectations. Spending a delightful evening together was an enjoyable and refreshing bonus. Thanks to Alistair, our visit to the island became an unforgettable experience. We highly recommend his place to anyone seeking authentic, welcoming, and stylish accommodation on Skye, situated in a beautiful location with stunning views. We had a wonderful few days,the Cottage is lovely and modern. South Erradale is so peaceful and the views over too Skye and the Torridon mountains are amazing..even the weather was amazing..🌞

We really enjoyed our stay at Johan‘s cottage and would love to come back for a longer stay at some point. The cottage has all the necessities and the kitchen is well equipped. Everything was clean and tidy. The cottage is in a beautiful but secluded area. So if you are looking for some peace and quiet, it is absolutely perfect.

We had a lovely time staying at Ann's for our visit to Skye. Ann was very responsive to messages and so graciously flexible with our check in time (when we got held up several hours by a closed road). The cottage was beautifully clean with stunning views of the bay, and well located to reach all parts of the island. Would definitely recommend staying with Ann!

We had a brilliant week at Grant and Laura's croft. The house was very comfortable, clean and well equiped. It is in a lovely location, very peaceful but a short walk from Strontian. There are lots of lovely walks in the area and the fabulous weather was a huge bonus. Many thanks we had a great stay.

Always adore staying at Owl Cottage. This trip was cut short due to poorly pooch but will definitely be back.

Fantastic cottage on the edge of the beautiful town of Strathpeffer. Fabulous surroundings and easy reach to the glorious highlands. The cottage is in excellent condition and very well equipped although we only used the kettle!! Comfortable inside and a beautiful sunny garden makes this a best value Airbnb in the area. Highly recommended

Great location and stay for us. We decided to travel without our car on train and public transport and bikes. Very easy from Fort William with a bus stop right outside Lonalva. Distillery and Highland soap workshop within 5/10 minute walk for the rainy days! Also recommend the Highland cinema in Fort William. House perfect for what we needed and beds very comfortable. Ann and her husband very helpful so thank you very much! Not at all surprised there’s hardly any availability now for much of the summer!!

Absolutely beautiful, rustic and peaceful. We enjoyed our stay immensely and this was our favorite place during our whole time in Scotland. Views of the loch and you can even see the Eileen Donan castle! one funny thing was the bath- while it had a shower handle there wasn’t a way to stand and shower so we all ended up having baths! Thank you Zoe for an amazing stay, I would definitely recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Chris and Caroline's beautiful cottage, Vancouver! It was incredibly spacious and felt just like home, thanks to being fully equipped with everything we needed. The views were absolutely stunning – we loved watching the sunset right from the living room window. Plus, its location was perfect for exploring, with Dunvegan Castle, Talisker Distillery, and Portree all pretty close by.

This house is tucked away at the far end of Portnalong so a little tricky to get in and out but the route is really scenic. The house was clean and cozy and had everything that we needed including a full kitchen which is nice when there are not so many open restaurants nearby. The views from the house in the morning are stunning (we were there in May). Graham gave great instructions and recommended a set of walks which we would highly recommend!

A beautiful space to stay, the garden, the house, the surroundings all made for a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. When we had a minor issue with the shower, Frances responded immediately and solved it. Nearby walks were lovely. The location was well situated for exploring the Wester Ross region.

The situation of the bothy next to the sea and stream is quite magical - this is a special place and we had a wonderful stay. Early mornings in the middle of all of the local wildlife are very special, and the chair overlooking the bay is perfect for watching the sun set. Thanks to Alison and David for making out stay so comfortable, and for great advice regarding things to see on the island.

Jeni's place is beautiful, peaceful, private and has incredible views! We absolutely loved staying here and only wish we had planned to stay longer! The cottage has everything you need and some great amenities. It is walking distance to the Three Chimneys and a short drive to Dunvegan. Plus there's bonus sheep friends!
