Peaceful life in nature
A Big yurt of 50 m2 in the massif of Wallows in Savoy. Calm down in the middle of nowhere. The view (sight) is 360 ° on baujus mountains (Massif of Bauges). A lot of activities are nearby as trek, mountain bike, climbing and ski. In 30 mn, the lakes of Aix les Bains and Annecy. I know the region perfectly and could advise to you. I let some maps there. The yurt is a circular, good housing environment to get fresh ideas or meditate. A big wood stove warms the atmosphere. It is thus accessible summer and winter alike. In case of snowfall, it will be necessary to finish on foot, in rackets(snowshoes) or in skis according to your tastes. The last part of the way is cleared the snow. Of information about the area is available with a map of the area at 1/25000 th. Close to the yurt, is a small wooden chalet equipped for dry toilets and a shower to isolate. The wood is at will. The massif of Bauges is a very protected place, with the presence of lynx and many chamoises. The local products are delicious cheeses. Hope to see you soon!
  • Incredible experience! Would highly recommend. The Yurt is very secluded which was perfect. Incredible view and it had everything you need. It was clean and comfortable. The log fire in the centre was fantastic. If you have the chance to stay here - do it!

  • The yurt is surrounded with mountains on the isolated hill which makes you feel as being in some kind of private paradise. I stayed there with my boyfriend for 4 days. We were lucky to have beautiful sunny and warm weather at the beginning of November. We haven't met Jean Luc so his friend Carmen was our host. Carmen drove us around the area, showed us great mountain trails, took us to best fromagerie and chocolaterie and gave us many useful advices. In the yurt we found basically everything we needed and much more like little backpack to go hiking, books about zen and Buddhism, hot stones for massage, bunch of candles...everything to make our stay in yurt wonderful. I highly recommend to go and visit the yurt to everyone who wants to get back to the nature and who wants to feel peace. We'll come back soon for sure!

  • We stayed for a week and had a great time at Jean Luc's lovely yurt. The surroundings are amazing. The yurt is really cozy and convenient. Jean Luc was very friendly and helpful. If you want to rewind from the city life then look no further. Highly recommended!

  • An absolutely incredible few days in the yurt. The yurt has everything you need and is such a beautiful space to spend time in. Even though it was mid december and there was snow on the ground, the yurt's fire place was very effective and we stayed very warm and cosy. It is such a peaceful and tranquil place with an excellent view across the valley, surrounded by mountains. Jean Luc was an exceptional host and helped us out wiyh everything we needed, including transport in the area. An unofrgettable stay!!

  • great view, met a real nomad in our kitchen!

  • Beaudiful Place with a great view. We felt us welcome and was very Well recieved.

  • Unique place, great for a Into The Wild experience. Will go again mysef and stay longer, and will recommend it to friends. Great place. Didn't meet the host, but easy contact, and everything was in order and available. Great memories to this Yurt

  • We loved our stay in the yurt, beautiful surrounds, fantastic walking and such a warm fireplace. A very unique experience and different way to see this gorgeous area of France! We did not have a car, and as it was school holidays the bus to Lescheraines was only at night, so if you too don't have a car just be aware if its holidays or not! We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go after that though and the lack of car was no disadvantage to us.Thank you Jean Luc for providing this for us!

THE AIRSTREAM INTERNATIONAL CCD 25'ss is a Christopher Deem Limited Edition. Set in the beautiful mountain range 'Sierra de las Nieves' in Southern Spain - this is an outdoor adventure you're not likely to forget!! Offering all the comforts of home with the luxury of a 5 star hotelroom - the airstream is an oasis of luxury in the middle of Nature. Modelled on the original 1930's classic, she's the perfect combination of retro nostalgia and contemporary design. The interior is sleek and stylish, and is equipped with everything you could possibly need to enjoy your glamping experience to the full. Facilities include: fully fitted kitchen with oven/hob/microwave/fridge-freezer; shower room with wc & washbasin; bedroom with cosy double bed; dining area; living area with comfy sofas and flat-screen TV/DVD; i-pod/i-phone docking station, CD player with surround-sound stereo; Wi-Fi internet access; and air con and heating. But perhaps the 'cherry on the cake' is the outdoor plunge pool - the ultimate in glamorous camping!! Laying in the pool or next to it on a warm summer's night as you gaze at the stars is a memory which is sure to remain.. The airstream is perfectly suited both for singles and couples - and provides the ideal setting for romantic or solitary retreat. The surrounding scenery is stunning, and there are plenty of nature trails and treks to be explored. Owner Trevor lives close by, and is always happy to lend a hand with trip planning and advice etc. A 20 minute walk down the mountain track will lead to the nearby village of 'Alozaina' - a typically Spanish 'pueblo blanco' which has retained much of its rustic charm. Life is slow here, and not to be rushed! There are several tapas bars, cafes, and a couple of decent restaurants, as well shops and even a small supermarket. Further afield, there is much to explore. Nearby excursions include the historical town of Ronda - and the oldest bullring in Spain, the elegant city of Malaga, Seville, Marbella & jet-setting Puerto Banus, and the picturesque 'pueblo blanco' of Ojen. Car hire is essential in order to fully enjoy the area. If you have any questions about the glamping experience, or the airstream itself - please ask. I have a good knowledge of the local area, and a deep love for the mountain - affectionately known to the locals as 'magic mountain'! You'll understand why when you visit - there is indeed something special and perhaps even magical about this place, just waiting to be discovered... I look forward to hearing from you! Warm regards, Trevor.
  • Airstream is really an unique experience. Now located very close to Trevor´s house but with its totally private space. You have your own wood platform with BBQ and small swimming pool. Tables, chairs, ... to enjoy with the open space to the sky and the stars. If you like camping but you don´t like a lot of people around you, that´s the best camping (with glamour) for you. But, first of all, you must lodge there if you like classic cars and vehicles with story... We are glad to have had the opportunity of sleep into the Airstream (as in a film). Totally silent, behind a fantastic BBQ we slept more than 12 hours... Linen bed, towels and facilities kitchen in perfect conditions. Trevor is very kind and friendly. All the procedure with him was quick, easy and fine.

  • I can't recommend this enough. I don't think I'm clever enough to find the words to truly describe this wonderfully unique experience. We spent 3 amazing nights here. The Airstream is something unique that has to be experienced. It has everything. The bed is so comfortable you won't fail to get a good night sleep. The location, wow. Set 3/4 away up a track up in to the mountains in a small little community surrounded by both orange and olive trees it's both scenic and peaceful. The clear evening sky allowed us to sit on the deck each night and state in to the planetarium like sky. The hosts friendly and welcoming always with a smile on their face - well you would if you lived up here. Honestly if you stay here it will be amazingly unique. We certainly won't forget our stay.

  • The Airstream does not disappoint! It is both iconic & very comfortable to live in. The outside space was an unexpected suprise with seven different places to sit or lie to chase the sun! The outside shower and hammocks were just great. We ate at the Airstream for all but 3 meals and used the BBQ everyday. A really great place to stay, very private and a wonderful place to relax.

  • The Airstream experience was beyond our high expectations. It accomplishes the challenge to feel like living in nature but with our modern comfort that we are used to. The Airstream is well equipped with everything we needed and the surrounding area completes it in the most elegant way. The decking, the BBQ and the pool made our stay perfect. We couldn't think about a better way to set this. The location is beautiful and, as I noted, make you feel like living in nature. You can watch the stars at night, listen to the absolute silence and enjoy the beautiful forest with the background of the mountains of Sierra de las nieces. And finally, Trevor. He was pleasant to meet, treated us as friends and made us enjoy this even more. We wish we could have stay there more time. And we definitely will come back for longer period next time.

  • We stayed at the Airstream for 5 nights and it was bliss. We did lots of relaxing and reading by the pool or in a hammock, nightly barbecues, day trips out and we even hiked up one of the mountains where we got incredible views of Alozaina. The airstream itself is stunning and spacious inside and sits in a beautiful, quiet setting with a brilliant newly built outdoor shower. Trevor was an excellent host, easy to talk to and always about if we needed anything at same time as leaving us to ourselves - he has a wealth of knowledge on the local area and good recommendations on places to visit. We didn't want to leave - perfect honeymoon destination. Thank you Trevor.

  • Just amazing! All is perfect, the location, the host, the airstream! If you're looking for a relaxing break in the middle of the woods, this is just the right place for you. The region has some interesting locations to be visited, but the airstream is so romantic, peaceful and relaxing that we gave up most of the visiting to just enjoy this little paradise, the sun, swimming pool and barbecue. And as if this was not enough, we had the chance to spend some time with Trevor, who is not only a great host, but also a very interesting person. So, after 14 days in Andalucia, we can definitely say this was a highlight of our trip!

  • The place is nice and the trailer is really well equipped and confy. The only problem is that there is a precast (bumping) long sloping road going from the main road in Alozaina to the trailer. Better to have some SUV car....Because it is in the mountains, it takes around 40 min to go to Marbella or Malaga.

    patty 2012-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing! Nature, location, Airstream and especially the host family. Never breathed such good air. Everything perfect and beyond our expectations. We will definitely come back! Thank you so much for this incredible experience! Irina & Jay

Son Marimon, this B&B, is located in the municipality of Selva, at the feet of Serra de Tramuntana, recently declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It is five minutes away from Lloseta, a village that offers the travellers everything they need: gastronomy, theatre, concerts, shows, historical neighbourhood, library and public transport –the train will allow the travellers reach Palma, Ciutat de Mallorca, in 25 minutes and Inca, where one of the most important markets of the island take place every Thursday, in 5 minutes. Wonderfully secluded, and still well connected, this 40m2 refugee also counts with 3600m2 of private land rich in autochthonous vegetation. The main characteristic of the house is how little it impacts on the surroundings in order to preserve the nature. Simple designs, hand crafted furniture, clay tiles (typical Majorcan material that tells the stories lived there) and beams create a space where comfort and tradition go together. The inner space comprises a sleeping room area, a sitting room with fireplace, a kitchen with oven, a microwave and fridge and an independent bathroom with shower. The outer space comprises two terraces with a table and hammocks and a big stone table and barbecue and a porch that can be given different uses. The hosts from the B&B Son Marimon will be delighted to help you plan a great range of activities including hiking, climbing, horse-riding routes (there is a possibility of also keeping the horses in the B&B), cultural routes, sailing, excursions to nearby villages or beaches, or any other interesting spot on the island. In conclusion, this is the perfect place to start exploring the island or stop, breathe and rest in total peace, experiencing the flavours of Majorcan countryside.
  • if you want to spend a memorable vacation, this place is for you. very calm and quiet, no fuss. beautiful view, clean sea, nice and homely atmosphere. the house is very clean and beautiful. It has everything that you will need. Tomeu and his family are very hospitable, nice people. I was comfortable and pleasant to communicate with him. this family will accept you as their own and will always offer their help. I am very glad that my vision got this house, because it is better, I would have found nothing. the next time I go to Mallorca, I will certainly go to this house and advise you. thank you so much Tomeu and his family for your warmth, I miss you.

  • It was a real pleassure to stay at Tomeu's place! The perfect spot to take some time off from everything - very clean, cosy and quiet! Tomeu is an extremly nice guy and can offer you tons of tips and information about things to do on the island. We felt at home in the moment we arrived!

  • I could have not wish for bette welcoming to Mallorca than being at place of Tomeu and Joana. Even we have arrived by train, without a car and in the middle of night, we were welcomed and cared so well and with warm heart and it gave us so much confidence and local feeling. All the rest of the stay was beautiful local experience, the kids loved the feeling of being in the house and around safe and Tomeu always surprised us with some extra care he didn't have to do. Thank you and wish to come back soon. Malina Zuz and kids

  • The time we spent at Tomeu's place was absolutely wonderful. The house is very mediterranean and very comfortable. It is situated in a very silent place surrounded by almond trees and it offered us much recreation and relaxation. The terrace in front of the house was perfect for reading and sunbathing, having breakfast or enjoying a glass of wine in the evening. The terrace on the backside provides a barbecue and is a perfect supplement for the cozy surrounding. Tomeu is a very nice and friendly person so that we would highly recommend this place to people looking for relaxation and tranquility.

  • Tomeu's place is really good, set in its own little garden/Orchard. We had some cool nights in Mallorca this time so it was really nice to come back and use the real fire in the evenings. Loseta is well placed for the mountains and the rest of the island. Tomeu's son made an effort to come and see us as we don't speak very good spanish. Enjoyed our stay . thank you very much.

  • We had a fantastic stay in Tomeu's house. The house was very clean and had all the furniture. The surrounding area is nice and very quiet to relax and enjoy. The situation in the centre of the island is perfect to access all the points of interest. A great thank you to Tomeu for his warm welcome and tips!

  • Our time at Tomeu's cottage was one of our best airbnb experiences we've had so far. The house is just as beautiful as shown on the pictures! The house was built by Tomeu himself and you can tell he put a lot of love and care into it. Everything was very clean, tidy and comfortable. All in all a very cosy and calm place. For us, the location was a perfect starting point to explore the island and go hiking in the Serra de Tramuntana - of course by car. Tomeu and his family were super friendly and helpful and they made us feel very welcome. If we ever come back to Mallorca we will definitely stay with Tomeu again. We recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a quiet and idyllic acommodation on the island. Thank you, Tomeu!

  • We stayed for a week at Tomeu's wonderful little cottage and it is quite a shock to return to the big city after a week of this paradise! The house looks just like the photo's. A large piece of land with trees, surrounded by fences and a gate that can be locked. Chicken, ducks, birds and sheep are your only neighbors and they are all very friendly :) Enough space for 2 inside, and everything is clean and in perfect shape. Bed, shower and kitchen: all perfect. The house is decorated with a good sense of style. The walk to Lloseta is only 20 min, but a car is recommended, to explore the beautiful surroundings. Tomeu and his son (who gave us some good tips about restaurants in the area) were very nice, communication was no problem - even though not always in english. I would recommend this cottage, it is a perfect place to relax and a great starting point to explore the island.

  • This sweet family in Valpo is just delightful. I absolutely loved my stay! My hostess did not speak English, but we communicated okay. Breakfasts in the morning we just wonderful and i slept SO well. It is very private and the view is excellent, I would not hesitate to stay here again.

  • Had a fantastic stay here! House is beautiful and the top floor has a stunning view. Nina made us very comfortable and we felt very welcomed. Even with a language barrier we were able to communicate reccomendations for cafes and attractions near by, neighborhood was a great area and easy walking distance to main tourist area. Having Nina bring us breakfast on that top floor was just amazing. Highly recommend!

  • We had a great stay at the suite and Olivier gave us very usefull tips to discover Valparaiso!

  • Nina was so lovely! She made us breakfast every morning where we ate in our lovely dining room, as you can see in the pictures. The family was friendly and accommodating, even letting me park our rental car in their driveway. The place is located in a hill thats not far from the touristy area (20 min walk), but far enough that you feel like you're living where real people do. It was a wonderful place and we couldn't recommend it more!

  • This was an absolutely lovely place to stay. The views are stunning and the home is warm and friendly. Run by a multi-generational family, we interacted most with the Dona (la abuela), who is charming. Note that it would be a good idea to have a good map of Valpo or specific directions if you are driving there, as the cerros are a bit of a challenge to navigate. The neighborhood is a bit like a little village. The house itself is quite old and charming, but know that it shows its age a bit. We didn't mind at all, but if you are looking for perfection in the house itself, this is not it. But we absolutely loved having our little tower to look at the spectacular Valpo hills. Views from both the sitting room and the bedroom, by the way. Note that although we had a car, it is extremely easy (and cheap) to use the bus system. You can catch a bus for just about anywhere you want to go from the corner nearest this property.

  • We had a wonderful stay! Gorgeous views and warm hospitality. I lovely way to see Valparaiso.

  • Our host Tina was lovely! Very kind and helpful. The suite was interesting and perfect for a few days to enjoy the sights and life of Valparaiso. It was nice to get the chance to speak with a family and share some culture. The area was safe and we particularly enjoyed the local cafe Republican. We had an unexpected storm - strong winds and heavy rain (which was unusual for Valpo) and it certainly added to the fun of being right at the top of a 3 storey house with the wind buffeting and some leaks...the family were very accommodating and the next day the sun was out and the house dry again! We really enjoyed the character of the house and appreciated being able to heat up some soup in their kitchen.Thank you very much :)

  • We had a wonderful stay at Suite Mirador. The house is beautiful, especially the suite upstairs -- the views were incredible, day and night! Lina was so kind and helpful, she even drew us a map by hand and gave us advice on how to get around the city and sights to see. She brought us a lovely breakfast and even helped us practice our Spanish. Her daughter Pilar was also wonderful and gave us excellent restaurant recommendations. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

  • Rita is awesome! I highly recommend this apartment and her other apartment in the building. Both are beautiful, on the top floor, and have a private outer door so you can create a suite if you rent both apartments. The apartment we were in was very small by American standards, but it was exactly what we needed. My parents rented the other apartment at the same time and we used both to get ready for our wedding, which was fantastic. Rita really went out of her way to make sure we had what we needed. I would absolutely take her up on it if she offers you a ride to and from the airport. Next time I'm in Rome, I'll be staying here!

  • Rita was a wonderful resource for us and the apartment was perfect! She picked us up from the airport and immediately began sharing good information with us about the best gelaterias near the apartment, restaurants, etc. When we arrived at the apartment, we were thrilled with its location near the Campo de Fiori and all the amenities it provided (good ac, wifi, stocked refrigerator). We were close walking distance across from the Trastavere neighborhood which was full of great restaurants and bars. We were also equal distance between the Colosseum and Vatican City which made sightseeing a breeze and the apartment a nice location to stop at midday and have a siesta. Loved it! Hope we can stay here again someday.

  • The unit was as described, and they were good about meeting us late, even after we got lost. Inflexible with checkout times, but I understood because they had new people coming in. Overall a good experience. I really appreciated the toiletries and travel adapters, and our morning breakfast was light and tasty. Will stay with them again in the future

  • We had a beautiful journey in Rita's house: clean, cosy, easy to reach. You find everything you need: from the hairdryer to the breakfast! Silent even if is really in the heart of Rome and near fantastic areas where you can have nice walk, eat and enjoy the city. The service is very good, the owners take care of you giving help when you need. Great place to go to enjoy the town with no stress and privacy! Thank you Rita!

  • Had an extremely pleasant stay with Rita. She not only picked us up and dropped us off at the airport for a small fee, but was gracious enough to do so after we had a scheduling issue coming in. I would HIGHLY recommend Rita. Her apartment was clean, well-maintained and she even had a few snacks for us!

  • Rita was great, and the apartment is fantastic. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The central location is perfect, an easy walk to just about all the sights. Rita's transfer from and to the airport made life so much easier, and she had the apartment stocked with breakfast & snacks. Really a wonderful host and a relaxing home-away-from-home. Thank you!!

  • Rita's home was PERFECT for our Christmas week in Rome! The location was perfect for exploring the city on foot - we walked everywhere. Rita gave us some good food recommendations when we arrived - all of which were excellent! (And the best food we had on the trip). The breakfast foods, tea and coffee in the kitchen made it easy to settle in at home. Bed was comfortable, water was hot, and the wifi worked without fail. We would (and will!) stay here again without hesitation. This was our first time using Airbnb (and visitin Rome) and Rita made it so easy for us! We took advantage of her picking us up from the airport (for a fee) - so glad we did! Also got a ride to Termini station at the end of our trip. Couldn't have asked for more.

  • This was a great location and Rita provided us with pick up and drop off at the airport. We were only in Rome 2 nights, so this was key. We were able to walk everywhere from the apartment to all the major central site as well as excellent shopping and food. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed including coffee, towels, and even soap etc in the bathroom. Would definitely recommend staying here, and will contact Rita the next time I am in Rome!

  • Other than the stairwell which really isn't very nice we loved everything about our stay at Julia's apartment. Great location the Tapas restaurant is really good. Julia was really helpful with providing us paperwork for our visas. If we went to Minsk again we would definitely return. Thanks

  • I really enjoy the room. Julia is very kind. Hope to stay here next time.

  • Very nice flat, close to all the places to see in Minsk, which is very convenient. It is very small, yet really cosy and not the usual “Airbnb / IKEA” style of decoration : it has its own outstanding soul. Julia was very helpful and waited for us even though we arrived much later than planned.

  • The reservation was canceled 14 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

  • Good room in centre.

The Off-grid itHouse brings together raw industrial aesthetics with the tactics of green design to forge a new home in the sunbaked wilds of the California high desert.
The Off-grid itHouse is an architecturally significant house, recently noted by Dwell as one of the 'Best Homes in America' and in the Los Angeles Times as one of the best houses of all time in Southern California. The Off-grid itHouse is one of 10 IT Houses built in California, which have received much acclaim such as the Western Home award sponsored by Sunset magazine. Also noted as one of the top 10 airbnb rentals worldwide. This is the prototype for the pre-engineered system known as the IT House. The house is 100% off-grid, powered by solar panels for energy and hot water, and is located in a pristine remote valley in the beautiful California high desert. The house observes key green principals of smaller footprint, minimal disturbance to the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape, use of renewable resources, and living simply and minimally. The setting of the house is remote and serene, a quiet refuge from everything, free from distractions. Amazing views and vistas in all directions. Perfect for design or green aficionados, writers or those needing a secluded quiet getaway.
Located in Pioneertown, CA, nearby several unique attractions, Joshua Tree National Park, Pappy and Harriets Pioneertown Palace, local museums and art venues such as the Noah Purifoy Outdoor Desert Art Museum, the Integratron, and other seasonal events.
  • The off grid house in Pioneertown was the highlight of our accomodations through California. It was just what we needed and dreamt off after ten days of city and trekking experiences before continuing to LA and NY. We enjoed the complet calmness, fantastic view and great comfort in this very carefully concieved and most beautiful modern house with independently and perfect working sustainable energy. A masterpiece of architecture, where we felt immediately at home, appreciating the natural ventilation through the gliding glassdoors, the game of light and shadow, the pure styling in the rooms, the comfort of a dishwasher on solar energy or the real linnen in bed, while looking at the milkyways... The system entering with codes worked perfectly. Due to traffic jam we arrived in the dark and had a hard time to find the lost place. A little color on the last indication sign ev. with a solar lamp would certainly help to find the way. To everybody who estimates modern and intelligent design and looks for a completely off grid time, will love this place. We will hopefully be back some day but certainly never forget this place with Lindas great spirit!

  • The itHouse was a truly special place! The views are breathtaking and the peacefulness of the desert is immediately relaxing. Watching the light of the day change, the moon rise and the stars start twinkling through the walls of glass is nothing short of magical. Linda was a lovely host and the house is beautifully appointed with anything you might need. It would be an absolutely wonderful place for architecture buffs, nature lovers, and anyone looking for the luxury of slipping off the grid for a bit. The itHouse is an unforgettable place! We can't wait to go back!

  • I had a great stay at this unique, peaceful house. The weather was hot during my stay (95ºF) but the house remained comfortable, no problem. The house is modern and very comfortable. Its really inviting for reading and working. The property is separated from civilization enough be truly disconnected-- surrounded by nothing but Joshua trees and large boulders. Bleak and beautiful. But its still only 20 min from a great live show at Pappy and Harriett's. A great experience for anybody looking to get away from life for a while.

  • This is an amazing house! Go there! Thank you so much : )

  • linda's house is truly a gem in the desert. very modern and stylish design, with amazing desert view. and never forget to check out the most astonishing starry sky at night. you rarely get the chance to see this view in the city. anyway, it's worthy a travel to the middle of nowhere and just enjoy it.

  • Truly remarkable in every way. The house and the setting blend together in a way that gives you quite a surreal experience. It is a true creative retreat away from the rest of the world but close enough to civilization that it is easy to get to. We formed our destination vacation just because of the house and were not disappointed. It makes me so grateful for Airbnb and the ability to stay at amazing locations that wouldn't be accessible otherwise. Thank you for sharing your masterpiece with us!

  • Being that often on the front site of airbnb is great but Linda deserves it. The off grid it-House is an architectural masterpiece. Delightful embedded in the stunning nature. The house is furnished in the best of taste. It’s a fantastic hideaway unfortunately several thousands miles away from me – otherwise I would love to be back again as soon as possible. Linda was very helpful concerning all issues and instructions are clear. The house is easy to find – bring your books along, lay back and relax.

  • A completely unique Air Bnb experience. The drive into the property is a wonderful introduction to your experience as the mobile reception disappears and you have the headspace to reconnect and reset your own thoughts. It's a magical setting and completely unique experience. The power (lights and water) did cut out both nights whilst we were using minimal cooking facilities, so do be aware that the energy truely is limited, especially on overcast days like what we had. However, the darkness was part of the spirit of it all and my wife and I very much enjoyed the experience.

  • We stayed during the Bank holiday weekend. Augill castle is an amazing unique place to stay. The pictures don't do it justice and it looks even better in real life. We stayed in the Langdale room which is great. You can dine with all the other guests on the same table which is a great experience if you like being social. There is also an honesty bar which stocks a wide variety of British alcoholic (craft beers, wines, spirits etc) and soft drinks. Would highly recommend - who wouldn't want to live in a castle just one time?!

  • What an amazing place! Was made to feel very welcome and the whole experience of staying in a castle was perfect. The room and ensuite were superb and the meals devine.

  • Beautiful location. Very unique. Wish I would have booked a longer stay. Loved the bar very cute & the movie room. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice relaxing place that is highly unique.

it is a cave from natural rock that at previous years was used as a house by the family in the beginning, and as storage of agricultural products much later. In 2007 after careful renovation and rebuilt, it became a luxurious studio of 60 square metres that can host up to two adults and two children. The studio is complete with dining room, kitchenette, TV and AC. A beautiful balcony reveals the view of Kissamos bay and the mountains that lie in the background. The apartment lies in the village Kaliviani and has a stunning view of Kissamos bay. It is very close to the unique lagoon of Balos and the famous beach of Falasarna. It is located 45 kilometres away from Chania and 55 kilometres from the airport. Kissamos port is just a five minute drive and Falasarna 10 minutes away. Very close to the villa are many smaller beaches. The towels are changed 2 times in a week and we offer upon arrival a welcome basket with local products. Hiring a car is recommended. MHTE number: 1042K070B0010701
  • What a great place to stay! We fell in love with the place and cannot wait to return next year. The studio was very clean and unique, we couldn't have asked for a better host. This stay really shows how much Greeks value hospitality.

  • Myself and my partner stayed at Katoi for a week. We found the accommodation to be amazing, it was so beautiful inside the cave and outside. There was a lovely balcony with a lovely view where we had our breakfast most days. The weather was beautiful while we were there and the cave is nice and cool. Kaliviani village is lovely and the restaurants were definitely worth visiting. Elina was on vacation at the time of our stay, so we were greeted by Nasia who was very welcoming. Nasia left us leaflets, maps and information for various places to visit and do while in Crete. She also left us lots of local treats, such as honey and Kaki wine etc. We would absolutely love to come back, its definitely worth a visit. Car is definitely recommended though, just to visit the surrounding towns and beaches etc.

  • Elina's luxurious stone villa is AMAZING!!!!! I absolutely LOVE it and plan on going back!!! It looks exactly as it is in the photos, but there is more to it than you see- which is absolutely gorgeous. This is the place to relax, honeymoon or even bring kids. I brought my two children to celebrate my daughters 5th birthday. They're are two fantastic resturants around the corner and a small beach you can walk to in seconds. Elina's mom gave us a tastey gift basket and later brought us authentic Greek food, yum. Elina is very helpful, she even gave me the name of a friend to rent a car from who brough it to me. We will be back again and again!

  • Elina was a great host, and the villa was fantastic: fresh, with stunning view. Elina arranged for us some refreshment when we arrived witch we appreciated a lot, was really helpful and guided us through the best beaches and restaurants of the island. Really a great stay! Fabio

  • We had a wonderful week in this very special apartment. Despite Easter Saturday evening and a delayed flight Elina and her parents had everything prepared for a warm welcome. Self-prepared tarts any necessaries for a great first day of vacation were ready. Kalivyani is a suitable great place to explore the West of Crete. Many opportunities for hiking in the mountains and swimming are easily accessible. The apartment is very well equipped and you will miss nothing. The balcony is an ideal place to relax in the evening in this quite village. Elina was always available and was able to give good tips and advice. We highly recommend Elina as host and the Stone Villa for exploring the west of Crete. Thank you Elina

  • We enjoyed staying at the stone villa very much. The villa is beautifully finished and very comfortable. Elina's gifts of raki, olive oil and pastry were much appreciated. The local taverna makes this a particularly nice place to spend some time.

  • Elina was a fabulous host and the stone villa was even better than expected! Elina was very easy to communicate with and answered all my questions very promptly. The villa was very clean and in great condition. I have already recommended the place to another traveler!

Appearing in numerous books on natural building, our cottage is a welcoming and cozy retreat hand sculpted of local, sustainable natural materials located on a lovely acreage with sheep, gardens and orchards.
Our neighborhood is quite rural and mostly agricultural with several farms and a small private vineyard. We are a ten minute walk from the beach and a twenty minute walk, in the other direction, to a family grocery and deli specializing in local organic produce, as well as galleries, a bookstore, and a spa.
  • Oh how I wish I had the writing skills to express my feelings of the cottage, the property, the family, and the island! Do read all the beautiful reviews before my own. They have captured my own thoughts on this experience. Unique, private, peaceful. I can't imagine anyone not enjoying this rental. It's truly a dream. A+ :) Highly recommended!

  • Alexis made me feel very welcome. The space was as described, and as pictured - beautiful and unique! So nice to be in a space that was organically created with love and attention. Some lovely local staple foods in the fridge, and a loaf of fresh delicious banana bread on the kitchen counter. I loved the woodstove, and possibly the best part for me was the nearby pond with frogs serenading me to sleep every night. So great all around!

  • Alexis greeted us with a loaf of bread, fresh from the oven, free run eggs, milk and butter for our breakfast - a warm welcome to the cob cottage which exceeded our expectations in every way. We got the fire in the stove started and then settled in for a wonderful, restful getaway. What a perfect way to escape the rush of the city and the stress of a busy lifestyle. Thank you so much for the hospitality and peaceful sanctuary.

  • The cob cottage is amazing! My boyfriend and I loved staying here. It's one of our favourite places we've ever stayed in! Alexis and her family were so welcoming and helpful. Thanks again for the delicious banana bread and really early lift to the ferry station. We really wish we could have stayed longer and will definitely be back one day!

  • Host was wonderful, she greeted us and gave us tips for places to go on the island as well as Galiano. She had a delicious banana loaf that we ate most of, some farm fresh eggs, milk and butter. Kitchen had everything we needed to make our own meals. This house is the perfect little get away! So happy we stayed here. My only issue was the bed, it was very firm. But this was just a personal issue as I am used to a much softer mattress. It certainly helped us wake up early each morning :) We saw the chickens but couldn't find the sheep!

  • The cob cottage is situated inside farm surrounded by sheep and chickens, so it quiet at night with frogs singing along. The place is clean, cozy, and full of little decorations and surprises. We totally love it!

  • We truly had a weekend getaway! Alexis is such a nice hosts, she tried to accommodate is in every single way! Love the boys! We will for sure come back. Thanks!

  • Our weekend at the Cob cottage was wonderful! Alexis is the most welcoming hostess imaginable, even picking us up from the ferry and offering lots of tips on things to do on Mayne. The cottage is very warm and cozy with the fire on, and has a very well equipped kitchen. Alexis provided some lovely baking, fresh eggs and milk and other breakfast items, along with some useful maps of the island. Mayne is beautiful and we hope to be back someday. Thank you for everything!

  • Staying with Brenda was an amazing experience. Her place is immaculately designed, with a very worldly feel to it. The house is situated in the heart of the Castro district, and is surrounded by excellent restaurants offering various cuisines from around the world. Brenda is a lifelong world traveler that is very open-minded, and interested in meeting new people. As a design enthusiast, her apartment is furnished with beautiful details. The bedroom is excellent for 1 person, though I don't think it would be comfortable for a couple. Also, if you are very tall (6'4"+), you will likely me too tall for the bed. Other than that, the place is fantastic. Would stay there again.

  • Brenda was a wonderful host, very generous and accommodating! I would love to visit again!

  • Brenda was a very helpful and sympatic host. The room small but cosy. The appartment very nice indeed.Neighboorhood fun.

  • Brenda is lovely and a thoughtful host. Her dog Boo and cat Moo Moo are very sweet and well behaved. The room was perfect for a solo traveller exploring San Francisco.

  • I loved my stay with Brenda, surrounded by Boo and Miss Mumu, having coffee early morning and looking at life going by below - yes, the room has a lovely big window with lots of fresh air and natural sunligth coming into your room Brenda is a lovely lady, really great when it comes to advice, tips and general San Francisco 'what to do' and 'where to go'. Even with hectic schedule, Brenda always made sure that I was okay, and even checked in with me when my seminar ran late, to be sure that I was okay. I would definitely recommend Brenda's lovely Flat in Castro. The area is easy to navigate, friendly, and very safe. I really felt at home

  • Brenda was a kind and generous host. The apartment was lovely and so was the neighborhood. I couldn't have asked for more!

  • Brenda is a most gracious hostess. She went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable both in her home, which is lovely, and in her city, which as we all know is sublime. Many thanks, Brenda. I much look forward to staying with you again. Elizabeth H. from Miami

  • Staying at Brenda's was a great pleasure! The apartment is situated in a popular neighborhood with nice restaurant, cafes and bars in walking distance. Berenda's apartment is carefully decorated and the bedroom she rents out is small but charming. All is kept cleen. Brenda gives you a warm welcome, has good tips, what sightseeing activities you can do and where to eat. You share the bathroom with the host and another flat mate. I enjoyed my stay and hope to come again.

A cottage made up of stone and timber built on two storeys, with a large living room, glass window, a couch for two people and a bathroom with sauna; on the second storey there is a double bedroom. Outdoors, there is a large garden with a porch equipped with BBQ and a wooden table. The site is located on the pleasant hills between Bellegra and Olevano Romano. We have currently added two beds, set up in a wonderful Indian teepe available for two extra guests in addition to the four ones.
The cottage is furnished with four beds and there are two extra beds in the teepe, there is also a sauna. The view is breath-taking: it is possible to appreciate wonderful nearby sites, relax and enjoy tranquility, practice archery, farm a garden, dig potatoes, tend the bees, or if you wish to go sightseeing through the several pleasant nearby places.
Have a look at the pictures in the website, they speak for themselves.
  • I don't even know how I can describe Pietro and his family in 500 words. We showed up in Bellegra late at night, lost and in a huge storm. He met us downtown and guided us to one of his favorite restaurants. He and his daughter, Laura, stayed to dine with us and it remains the best night of our 2 week vacation in Italy. The residents itself is its own story. You really need to see it to believe it. The pictures look a lot bigger than the actual space, but beautiful nonetheless. The bedroom has its own separate entrance, as you walk up some stairs and into a dwarf door. The views from up there are unbelievable. The whole place is breathtaking and quiet. Our 2 children also loved the place. There was tons of room to run around and play outside in the olive and fruit trees and the little kittens were a hit! Not to mention having a fire to warm our croissants in the morning was a bonus. Although Pietro doesn't speak much English (but my Italian is worse) he is still an amazing host and was able to help with local wines, cheese and restaurants. If we are ever back in the area, we will definitely be staying here.

  • פיאטרו: תודה רבה על הארוך הנהדר. המקום, האויר, הבית...נהינינו מהכל. We relaxed and enjoyed your outdoor fireplace to BBQ our supper, we loved your wine and your helpful directions on where to visit in Rome. We admired your laid back attitude. Although there was only one real bedroom we managed with the two single beds in the downstairs common room. The bathroom was clean and sufficiently roomy. The hot water tank a little too small for four people. Your kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals. We will return to your most inspiring home. This next time for a week - to relax and soak in the great ambience. Thank you, Ora & family (Tami, Elishay and Dennis)

  • Our time at Pietro's was unforgettable! The house was extremely cozy and tranquil, set among olive trees, with a magnificent view of the mountains. Pietro is an authentic and wonderful individual, who made our time very special. He was a wonderful host, greeting us with a bottle of Prosecco and good conversation, making us a reservation at a delicious restaurant on the day of our arrival, and even cooking a meal for us while teaching proper Italian technique in the preparation and eating of spaghetti. I can not say enough about how much we enjoyed our time here. We hope to come back for a longer stay next time. Thank you so very much Pietro for your warmth and hospitality!

  • This is a great place to slow down, relax and enjoy "off the beaten path" Italy. We had several day trips planned but ended up spending most of our time lounging around, reading, cooking at the outdoor wood grill and wandering the olive grove. Pietro is an attentive and generous host and always happy to share fresh vegetables from the garden, honey from the bees and a glass (or three) of wine. Grazie di tutto, Pietro! Ha una splendida casa!

  • Pietro was amazing. Friendly, lively, helpful, warm and sweet. We enjoyed his place so much and we're sad to only be able to stay one night. It is unique and beautiful. We made dinner from his garden, played with his cute animals and sat on the deck for breakfast. What a treasure and a must see! You can not go wrong.

  • When I first saw this listing on airbnb I just knew that we had to go. We were not disappointed. The house and grounds are beautiful with so many great places to sit and enjoy. Pietro and his family are fantastic hosts and made us feel at home. Fantastic. But should only be attempted by those who are genuine and love the natural world and are able to slow down and enjoy the beauty.

  • Pietro and his wife welcomed us with a glass of homemade wine and cantucci. The House is very big and cozy, exactly as in the pictures! It has nice view and is surrounded by olive trees. We cooked at home and enjoyed a lovely evening by the fireplace. It was a great experience. Thank you! Ciao sofia&lino

  • The bamboo house was so beautiful and exactly like the pictures and description listed. Our host was so understanding and made sure we were always take care of. We had someone in our group get very sick and she helped coordinate a on call doctor that had visited twice. There were a few times that my group could not make a decision or had changed there mind which could be frustrating for a host but she always made something happen that pleased the whole group. Regarding location: it is quite a bit outside of UBUD. Every taxi driver could not find the location. When I had asked for a more specific address, they mentioned it was just a hard location to find. We ended up using their taxi drivers often just so we could be sure to make it back home! Also, as the pictures show, there are no walls, bring a lot of bug spray because you will get eaten alive. Overall, great experience to give a try.

  • Amazing experience in an out of this world bamboo house with friends. Loved everything about the avant Gard and sustainable design, just wish it was smaller... For a smaller footprint. But we understand the village is showcasing huge extravagant design as that seems to be what people want. It's a great experience and chance to see the bamboo factory and amazing green school. A great prototype for future sustainable and elegant building. The architecture seems to breathe with you. Aaah....beautiful

  • A truly unique experience of staying in a house all made of bamboo. I would recommend a visit to the nearby Bamboo Factory to truly appreciate the bamboo house for the structural design, construction and materials used. The villa manager (Maggie) and the staff were very professional. Stay at Green Village is highly recommended if you are comfortable with a few bugs and bats invading your personal space.

  • Incredible and wonderful. I'm very, very happy for having had the privilege to stay in this unique place for two nights and hope that I can come to stay again at some point. It's such an amazing place. The staff went out of their way to create an amazing experience and were super helpful. The food was delicious, the morning walk was beautiful and the guides great. Can't talk to highly about our experience at the Green Village.

  • Sunrise House was everything we had hoped it would be from the other reviews here! The house is just as beautiful as the photos and in great shape. Eva and Maggie were amazing hosts and incredibly helpful setting us up with a driver for day trips. The food we agreed is not the most incredible we had in Bali, but it's perfectly acceptable.

  • I had a fantastic stay at Andrew’s bamboo house. The residence is more beautiful in person than pictures can show and it is truly a WOW moment as soon as you step through the glass circular entrance. From the arcitecture down to the copper and bamboo fittings throughout, this is one truly spectacular residence. The open plan on all levels makes it very spacious for a group of 3 or more. Some days you feel like the only person there. It was a great convenience having a full functional kitchen and the pool was very refreshing on those warm Bali days. The views from the house are amazing and even though there are no windows it is still relatively cool throughout and funnily enough myself and my guests did not have any problems with mosquitos. The Bamboo Village is only a 30 minute drive to Ubud town centre and this can easily be arranged through the staff on site for about AUD$30 return. There is always security within the village and I never felt like any question was too much trouble for the staff. It was great to meet Andrew and hear a little background on the Bamboo Village itself. I will certainly be recommending this residence to family and friends and would love to stay here again in the near future.

  • Wow! This is for real! This house is magical and a once in a lifetime experience! Go! And Andrew will make sure you are well taken care of along with the excellent staff.

  • Sunrise house is an amazing home, most beautiful architecture one can imagine. Pure magic. The Green Village, where the house is located, is a beautiful place filled with the most lovely people, delicious food, and incredible hospitality. They took care of our every need, from taxis to dinner reservations to even picking up our lost luggage from the airport. Our children took a bamboo model making workshop and we learned to make a play the jegog. Beside the amazing architecture, there is so much to experience at Green Village. I cannot say enough positive things about the magic of our experience at this rental.

  • Wow wow wow! We had a fabulous time here. The Villa was so peaceful yet places to drive to. We walked through the forest to Lebanne Ocean where we hired bikes. There's some lovely places to cycle along side the waterways and we felt safe on the cycle tracks. We drove to Bayonne which is beautiful. The villa is superb and very cosy with everything you need. Nadia was great and Agnes was very informative sending us lots of info before we arrived and messaged us while we were there to see how we were finding the villa which was lovely. The bottle of champagne in the fridge was perfect when we arrived after a long drive from England. We will definitely be back!! We ate well, drank well and slept well :-)

  • We were a family of 6 adults celebrating a special birthday. From the time of booking until the day of departure, Agnes stayed in touch to ensure that we were happy with everything. It really was a superb villa, with a well equipped outdoor space and pool area, which was sublime, as the sea when we were there was dangerous to swim in. Unfortunately, we were there for the surf, of which we saw none, but that made it all the more tempting to stay at the villa and relax, which was what we all needed. The villa is well equipped with everything that is needed and the ice maker was a boon! It was a joy to spend the evenings dining and laughing together outside and the BBQ and plancher added to the outside ambience. The scent of the pine forest is one that will remain with us all and we were sad to leave Villa Amani. To be recommended - thank you to Agnes and Fred.

  • The perfect place for a family-holiday, in case of anything you need there is a housemanager, great and peaceful garden and pool, very comfortable house.

  • Absolutely wonderful house and a great stay. The grounds are so beautiful and it is wonderfully quiet next to the forest. The house is gorgeous, really comfortable bed and fantastic shower! We had a great time cooking on the BBQ and La Planch and eating on the beautiful deck. The kitchen is very well equipped with utensils and cooking equipment. Labenne has everything you need in terms of supermarket, butcher, baker, rotisserie chicken van, fruit and veg man and the beach is lovely. There is also a huge amount to do with kids. Capbreton and Hossegor are also both so close and very pretty with some great restaurants. We had wonderful pizzas at Little Princess in Hossegor. The beach at Capbreton was wonderfully dog friendly as well as providing free parking and some good surf. We also drove to San Sebastien for lunch! A wonderful holiday in all.

  • We booked this house to surprise my dad for his 60th birthday, so we were 8 adults. It was excellent, it was comfortable and had plenty of space for us all. The decor and outside terrace was beautiful. Very peaceful and the garden is on the edge of the forest offers an idyllic view. Even in the rain we managed to enjoy the pool and walk to the beach. The local area is quiet out of season but had everything we needed. We visited Biarritz and San Sebastián both recommended day trips. Agnes and Fred were excellent hosts and the contact leading up to the visit was always prompt and helpful. They gave us a long list of recommendations and directions for travel. Nadia, the lady that greeted us was also very helpful. We would certainly return and would recommend the house and hosts highly.

  • We loved our stay at CHARMING HOUSE Seaside & Pine Forest. Agnes & Fred have a beautiful home on the edge of the forest. It is even more beautiful than the photographs and Agnes and Fred provided everything we needed in terms of kitchen equipment, bedding, towels, wifi and cinema equipment as well as attention to every detail. My son and his friend enjoyed surfing great waves at several of the nearby surf spots. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation and Fred and Agnes were so helpful every step of the way. We highly recommended this home in Labenne,France to best enjoy a truly French experience that many tourist never see.

  • A perfect family location. Beautiful tranquil surroundings, a great pool and wonderful living space. Everything from check-in to the local beeches to the recommended restaurants in Capbreton and beyond were just right and we loved our week courtesy of Agnès and Fred....thank you!

  • Amazing home and location - true peace and quiet, tranquility, homely place for all the family and those lazy days by the pool with friends and family. Would highly recommend this!

Use the balconies towards the street, instead of the terrace.
Please notice a few things before you book 1) Our apartment is on the 5th floor without elevator 2) Please be considerate towards our neighbours – do not make noise. Use the balconies towards the street, instead of the terrace. 3) A Metro station is being build outside at the moment. This means noise especially when you have the windows and doors open. 4) The furniture has changed a bit since the pictures were taken - for example, there is no TV now 5) Forbidden in my apartment: party, heavy drinking, loud music, shouting, ringing the wrong door bell, loud voices in the staircase – and anything the like which can disturb my neighbors. The apartment is large and with lots of sunlight. It has 5 small balconies and one terrace. There are 3 rooms, a small, middle and a large. In addition, there is two loft rooms under the roof with half height, furnished with beds. We have beds for 10 persons. I can also arrange for extra mattresses. The apartment is suited for families with smaller children: we have a high chair (IKEA), kids books etc. and there is not so much that children can destroy in the apartment. You are welcome to use the back yard. There are several playgrounds for children within 500 meters of the building. The apartment is 3,3 km from Nørreport station. 15 minutes with bus 6a. The apartment is close to: local cafés, Nørrebrogade (street with shops), Fælledparken (large park), supermarkets, green grocery, and the train stations Bispebjerg and Nørrebro. The apartment is situated on the 5th floor and there is no elevator. It is a no-smoking apartment, but you can smoke on the balconies. You cannot have pets in the building. Regarding your arrival time we will talk about what can fit both for you and us. Often I will suggest you to come directly from the airport/ train station to get keys and leave your luggage. And if the apartment is not ready at that time, you can go to the city and come back later.
Nørrebro is diverse and multi-culturel. Nørrebro is inhabited mainly by young people, students, foreigners and 2. and 3. generation immigrants. But there is also a lot of families with small children, hence the many playgrounds. The large ethnic population provide Nørrebro with an abundance of green groceries and shawarma grills. Nørrebro is densely populated and therefore lively anytime a day; bars, cafes, restaurants, shopping, kids in parks and playgrounds, young people hanging out on skates etc. Don´t miss to visit the modern outdoor space: Superkilen. Superkilen is a bike cycle lane through the city, but also amazing parks and spaces alone the way
  • The room was a fantastic place in which my friends and I were able to spend our last night in Copenhagen. A great place!

  • A lovely, spacious and stylish apartment. Edmond and Sidsel's apartment accommodated 8 of us with no problems at all. Highly recommend visiting CPH and staying here.

  • Edmond's place was a great location for a big (7 people!) group of friends traveling together. It was great to have access to a balcony, and the apartment gets a lot of light and is very airy feeling. The construction close by wasn't a problem at all - I slept in the bedroom closest to the balcony, and noise was never an issue. We all slept like babies! Even though there were 7 of us staying together, the apartment is well laid-out so we never felt crowded. It is a bit of a walk to some of the main tourist attractions in Copenhagen, but there's a convenient bus stop close by, and it is a stone's throw from Superkilen, which is absolutely worth seeing.

  • Very nice place, clean, spacefull and design ! Only 1 bathroom with toilets inside, so I should advice maximum 6 people ;-)

  • We had an absolutely fantastic time at sidsel's lovely apartment. Thank you Sidsel's for all your assistance and helpful tips. I can absolutely recommend staying here for anyone looking for a good place in Copenhagen. (Tobias) Kær Sidsel, Tusind tak for åbnede op deres lejlighed til os. Vi værdsete din hjælp og bistand. Bogen var også en fantastisk ide' (Ashley)

  • The apartment was just perfect. Sidsel and Edmond were perfect hosts and we felt very comfortable in their home. I can recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Copenhagen

  • Spacious & nice appartment, 10 minutes from city center (bus 6A) or a 20min walk. Excellent location when visiting the city for a weekend or mid-week with 4 to 8 people. Wifi available.

  • Thanks for this great experience!!! staying at Edmonds place was really great. Its a very nice place with lots of room for lots of people. we were 7 and there would have been space for more. Arriving and everything was very easy, contact before without any issues. Kitchen is stuffed well, supermarkets close, all together: It was really nice, nothing to complain!!

  • What a flat! Thomas really got a great sense for nice things and he knows how to combine them the right way. We loved the polished concrete combined with great graphic design - if you are into more artsy stuff, this is the place to be in Bangkok. Thomas knows his city well and gave us great tips for food. He was very sorry for the fridge temporarily not working but we didn't mind as there is a seven eleven round the corner anyway. I am sure this will be fixed asap. We only stayed two nights but will definitely come back when in BKK - awesome flat in awesome location with a great host. I guess this AirBnB at its best.

  • Thomas has a very interesting home in the Silom area. Very well designed, very eclectic, and still comfortable. Great airbnb experience. Definitely recommend staying here!

  • Great two night stay in Thomas' flat. Easy to get to and good location near the river, especially for exploring Chinatown and the Old City. Thomas was welcoming and responsive to any questions. Would definitely recommend a stay at his place.

  • I hesitate to leave praise for the loft out of fear that the next time I want to stay there it will be unavailable! The week in his loft was a perfect introduction to Bangkok not only because it's such a unique space in an interesting and growing part of this amazing city, but because he is the consummate host who makes genuine efforts to see that his guests quickly fall in love with everything Bangkok has to offer. Thomas possess an unmistakeable passion for what this city can offer, but be careful as his enterprenerial excitement can quickly light a spark and you end up extending your stay for another month like I did! :) Great place. Really solid and charming guy. No reason to stay anywhere else in Bangkok. Cameron NYC

  • We really enjoyed staying here and it was close to one of the boat docks, which you can take to the major tourist areas.

  • The place is great and I love the interior design. Thomas is so nice, give some travel advices and answers the msg quickly. The apartment haven't elevator, not too convenient for people who have lot of luggage :)

  • The apartment is really nice. It looks like a showroom of unique figures and paintings. My friend and I could take great pictures and had a lot of fun there. I think the area is being developed nowadays. When we walked for 5~10 mins from the apartment, we could find beautiful jewelry shops and galleries around there. I've been to Bangkok a few times before but it was my first time to see them. The location is ok when you take taxi. We had no problem from transportation except for some traffic during rush hour. We couldn't meet Thomas as the owner and that's the only thing that I feel sad about. But his friend Antoine welcomed us and he was contactable and helpful all the time even though he was very busy. We had a great time at Thomas' house.

  • Thomas’s place is very spacious with lots of natural lighting. The whole interior is very hip and artistic. It is not close to bts or mrt, however it is easy to grab or Uber around. U can easily take a river taxi across the river to klong san market, Jam factory and The never ending summer for just 4.5 baht per trip. Overall is a nice place to stay for a short vacation.

Small cottage on a 10.000 sq.m private island in the adventurous archipelago of Hvaler. Accomodates one family (2+3) or four adults. (2+2). Boat with motor available. Instagram: @batholmen_norway #thekingdomofbatholmen. Search Youtube for "Båtholmen" to find an interview with one of us.
Private island in the beautiful archipelago of Hvaler; the municipality with the highest number of sunny days per year in Norway!
Try fishing, sunbathing, swimming or simply go on a boat trip to one of the other islets or islands in this wast archipelago.
  • Eivind was really welcoming and also picked us up from Frederikstad to take us to the Island. We were surprised at the range of supplies/utensils that are in the cabin; everything you need for your stay minus food! The island the cabin is situated on is a perfect size and very quiet and the larger islands surrounding are so picturesque; we spent the holiday exploring them on foot and with the boat provided. This Airbnb listing is the complete package, as are the hosting skills of Eivind. Thank you for making our holiday memorable!

  • Eivind was very welcoming, he came to meet us from the bus and talked us through all the details. A lovely chap, he made us feel very comfortable, including driving the boat, which we were a little apprehensive of (he even taught us a new knot!) The island and location were even better than we could imagine, a really memorable and unique experience! The hut is really cosy and we cooked up a range of decent meals with the utensils provided... and there's a fire pit for warmer nights too! The area generally feels safe. Lots to explore on the island, and in the wider (Website hidden by Airbnb) boat!

  • The only problem with our stay was that is was just too short and we had to drag ourselves away from this special place. Eivind is a wonderful host and patiently guided us in from Sweden when our SatNav lost the plot. Everything we needed was to hand on this wonderful island. Our three children swam and played in the 'jungle', mutinied their father on 'Devil's rock' and giggled themselves to sleep in the eaves of the cabin. Take time out from the rat race and have the holiday of a lifetime on this wonderful island! Can't wait to go back for longer next time. Thanks Eivind!!

  • Eivind's place was an absolute gem. He and his family met us when we arrived and explained everything we needed to know about the house and boat. Our kids loved exploring the island and cruising around on the boat. The home is super basic and it made for some adventures. Would gladly return again!

  • This was beyond my expectations. The island and the cabin is perfect for 2. The location is easy to reach from Oslo Airport and Eivind and his son make everything as convenient as possible for their guests. Boat rides around small islands and going to grocery shopping by boat were our favourite moments. The barbecue is upgraded after the pictures so it is actually a lot bigger and cooler than shown. Do not hesitate to choose this property, you will be impressed by the nature and silence.

    Baris Kaan2016-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at the island. I would not say that staying here is for everyone, but if you are looking for something unique and you don't mind forgoing some creature comforts it can be great. Our kids loved exploring the island. If only the water had been little warmer! Eivind made us feel very welcome. He had good communications and was quick to respond to our questions.

  • Fantasic place to stay! And made even better with a very very helpful host who is happy to answer every question I had. This place, even in early April is a beautiful little island with lots of little nooks and crannies. The boat is very useful and Eivind gives very helpful advise even for people who have never used a motorboat before. Something I found very enjoyable was parking.. mooring the boat outside the shops! The cottage has everything you need, and even with the cold early spring nights we managed to heat it to over 20c without the aid of the heater :) So overall, yes, we will be back! Thanks!

  • We were amazed by how beautiful the island and it's surroundings were. We were so lucky to have arrived just as the baby birds were hatching on the island. We visited nests and watched the eggs hatch, were visited by a swan family and their three fluffy cygnits who came really close to us! Beautiful, hot weather and even an amazing thunder storm which was our favourite day of the holiday! The boat is intuitive and we learned how to use it quickly. We were anxious at first but there was something very satisfying about mastering it and taking it to different parts of Hvaler. The cabin is so comfortable and sweet and romantic. I loved the ritual of boiling a kettle and preparing food on the little gas, camping stove. We had a great BBQ too. Thre are some local shops where we bought our groceries and you can moor the boat right by the shops. We will definitely come back to stay again as soon as we can. Eivind and his son were really kind and helpful and made the experience feel very safe.

Located in the coffee region, in the Andean mountains of Colombia, South America, a charming cabana made from bamboo, with a great view and a "sendero" or pathway through the bamboo forest which criss-crosses our 5 acre organic farm, leading down to a stream. A place to relax and commune with nature.
Surrounded by beautiful rainforest plants, strategically placed for privacy, with an outdoor shower in a garden. Commune with nature, listen to crickets and night and birds in the morning. Situated on a small organic farm. We grow tropical fruits and trees, flowers, with aloe vera as our main crop. There is an enchanting pathway through our bamboo forest, leading down to a mountain stream and a small waterfall. Near many coffee region tours and attractions, including our own organic farming workshops, visiting a nearby bee farm where our neighbor propagates bees in danger of extinction, local coffee tours, butterfly emporium, hang gliding, zip lining, white water rafting, horseback riding, hiking, visiting nearby historic towns and world heritage sites.
We are situated in the heart of the coffee region in the Andean mountains in Colombia. We are in "Vereda La Pradera" neighborhood, near the small town of "El Caimo", 20 minutes from Armenia and 20 minutes from the airport, by car. Close enough for comfort and easy access, far enough from the hustle of traffic and city noise that you can commune with nature. Sleep to the sound of the crickets and awaken to the sound of birds.
  • This place is perfect if you want to get away and clear your mind. The view and cabana are absolutely beautiful! Everyone is so kind and I felt welcomed. Breakfast every morning was great! I also did a tour that Yudy set up (coffee farm tour) which was a great experience especially if you are a coffee drinker. I am for sure coming back!

  • Wow this place is amazing. Great for a couple looking for a getaway and also for a small family to relax, enjoy the weather and enjoy the views. The service is excellent, the food is delicious.

  • Peaceful and inspirational place to stay! We woke up invigorated and refreshed after a good night's sleep on the huge bed with nature all around us. The bathroom is good fun too - showering amongst the banana trees. Great place to stay when exploring the coffee country.

  • thank you so much, we had a perfect stay! the surroundings and the Finca are breathtaking! yudy was a lovely host, very helpful and a very good Cook!

  • This is an absolutely amazing place to completely recharge your batteries! The hospitality from everyone there was truly above and beyond! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for something very unique

  • Yudy and Victoria's place is an absolute dream! It was by far the nicest place we stayed in South America. Their property is something out of a fairytale and is home to hundreds of colorful flowers and lush green jungle. Their cabana is very romantic and even more beautiful then in the pictures. Victoria is fluent in English, and although she lives in California she is quick to answer any questions you may have through text. Yudy was awaiting us with a warm welcome although our arrival time was so late (5am!!) and she and the rest of the family that live there are very friendly and kind. My favorite part was the shower! I could've stood under the rainfall hot water and watched the sunrise over palm trees all day. We can't wait to come back and stay at this tropical paradise again!

  • A sanctuary. I stayed in the Cabana for two nights and loved every minute. So much so that I plan on making it a frequent retreat. I've already told various people about the property. It would be nice to install a common kitchen where guests could cook their own meals. But other than that, it's an amazing spot and very highly recommended.

  • This romantic cabaña is located on a beautiful farm outside of Armenia. Yudy and the staff were very friendly and the food was excellent. I would happily stay here again.

We invite you to come and visit our beautiful countryside house on the shores of the Douro river. You will have a full countryside experience with our restored rustic house, our farm animals, a salt water 12meter pool and a unique view for the unforgettable landscape of the Douro river.
The house has 2 floors: - In the upper floor you will find the large living room with a wide dining area. There is a fully equipped kitchen for all your needs and also a wood stove if you want to enjoy your food with a countryside flavor. There are three rooms: a room with single bed, a room with a large couple bed, and a room with three bunk beds. Still on this floor you'll find two bathrooms, one of them with a large jacuzzi for your comfort. - In the lower floor there is another room with a large couple bed and a bathroom included. On this floor there is also an area once destined for the production of wine, with a mill, and a space with a "table football" table connected directly to the pool. In the outskirts of our farm you will find several restaurants with traditional food, a good pizzeria which we recommend anyone to try and also a bakery and a minimarket. You will also have the commodities of a 30km distance to Oporto which is now considered to be one of the most cultural cities in the world. You take 30min to get there if you are traveling in your own private vehicle, or if you prefer there is an hourly bus leaving from Sebolido (the station is four minutes walking distance) which takes 45 minutes from one place to the other.
  • Alberto & Maria were great hosts. Alberto welcomed us very warmly and showed us the premises when we arrived. We were greeted with a great selection of fresh local products ranging from port vine to croissants. Alberto was also very helpful and courteous: He even gave us a lift on one night to a nearby restaurant. The villa itself was gorgeous: views were absolutely stunning, opening up to the Douro river. We spent almost half our time in the area just by enjoying the views from the sun deck. Every now and then we went to the garden to pick an orange or see the local farm animals. From inside the house was charming and very clean. The house had all necessary amenities from internet to washing machine (+ some extras like jacuzzi). All in all, our company of 5 people really enjoyed our stay in Quinta do Moura and we would come back here any day! I'd give this place six stars if I could.

  • Quinta da Moura was the most beautiful place one could ever dream of spending a holiday. And Alberto and Maria were really, really nice and helpful. We travelled with a 2-year old and the house had both baby chair, bed, baby cutleries and Alberto even had a babypram, that we could have borrowed if we wanted to. Apart from being beautiful the house and the grounds offered a great mix of relaxation and little daily activities like picking your own lemons and amazingly sweet oranges (perfect for homemade ice tea and drinks), visiting the pigs, sheep and chicken (our son still talks about the piglets), woodgrilling your food, picking strawberries and tomatoes, walking the grounds and generally just enjoying the fantastic view, the pool and hanging out on the terrasse and in the hammock. We were two couples and one 2-year old and we all agree that Quinta da Moura is the best place to relax and enjoy life, that we have ever come across (and between us we have done our fair share of travelling, so it is not like we haven't been at other really nice places ;). We give the place our warmest recommendations and hope to be back one time soon. If you are going to Porto you shouldn't cheat yourself of a visit to Quinta da (Website hidden by Airbnb) is relaxing, romantic, cosy, and just plainly amazing :)

  • Maria & Alberto's country house is simply beautiful. My family and I spent 7 wonderful days at their very charming house, enjoyed the pool, the nature, Russa the pig, the magic view, long nights on the terrace, daily BBQ's and the overall very relaxing spirit. Maria& Alberto were lovely hosts, very helpful and communicative. W e can only recommend their place. Thank you so much for these perfect holidays!

  • This house is amazing. It is on the most perfect little farm complete with fruit growing from the trees, pigs and sheep, and a heavenly view of the river and surrounding valley. We had a wonderful time, even though in late May it was still a little too cold to fully enjoy the beautiful pool... The only thing I would say on the negative side is that there is not really anything in walking distance as the house is quite close to a main and busy road, and surrounded by other houses - so not really conducive to any walks or exploration (though there are some basic services fairly close like a simple cafe, some restaurants, and a market - just not of the picturesque type...). It is about a 1.5 drive to the heart of the wine region, and about 30 minutes from Porto. That said, if you are looking for a beautiful spot to just relax and enjoy the scenery - this is it.

  • Fantastic pool and landscape setting. A charming house with lots of character but a bit too cluttered for my liking. Also problem with mosquitoes.

  • A very beautiful place, it was amazing to be able to relax by the pool or on the patio, where we also ate all our meals with a fantastic view of the Douro river landscape. The pool is a saltwater pool which we appreciated very much. Porto is only a 30 minute drive away, a beautiful and interesting city by the water , but the risk is you will only want to hang out in the house anyway! The hosts were extremely kind and helpful and even provided a pram for our baby. There was also other baby equipment and an inflatable baby pool. The only thing that I felt was a bit negative was that there was not so much to do or see in the immediate surroundings, but again, if you are there for a week or a few days you will not want to leave the house. There was however river beaches but we didn't try them.

  • We loved the place! The view is amazing and we really enjoyed the pool. The house was big enough for 4 children en 4 adults. We were welcomed with a nice lunch and got a grand tour of the house and garden.

  • We had a wonderful holiday in this house. An interesting building, set in beautiful gardens with an outstanding view and lovely swimming pool. The hosts Maria and Alberto are charming and generous.

  • What a wonderful place to find yourself. Staying in this little cabin was one of the highlights of our short trip around New England. Such a shame we could only stay the night though. Alan was a wonderful host, taking time out to show us around, when clearly after a very harsh winter, he had plenty of work to do on the farm, but he showed us the Surry Opera Company farm house cum opera house, told us some of the history of the buildings on the farm and took us for a walk to see the lake down the road. The Cabin itself is warm and cosy with a comfy couch, the loft was wonderful to sleep in, the bathroom spacious and the water nice and hot for a shower. Really my only regret is that we couldn't stay longer but i hope to be able to come back and stay a couple of weeks and write music there. Thank you Alan, we loved our stay in the cottage.

  • Alan was a great host who communicated well and was available to us but gave us privacy too. If you get a chance to spend time with him you should do it...he is interested and interesting. The property is unique...have him give you a tour of the opera house and walk down the road to the trails where you can be on the water. We spent most of our time in Acadia forest which is anywhere from 40 minutes to an hour depending on which part of the park you visit. The drive there is beautiful and we loved the quiet of Surry. If you are looking for a unique, "non-tourist" experience then Alan's cottage is perfect.

    Robbie & Kari 2014-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • This space was so beautiful and peaceful. A sweet location in proximity to Acadia National Park (you can see the highest peak from the cabin) and a quiet location for a secluded getaway. We visited in January and the cabin was perfectly warm and the bed very cozy. Alan was very accommodating. Although there is no kitchen (there is a microwave/toaster/kettle), Alan let us use his kitchen one night, which was really nice. Alan also provided us with maps of the area and had some good suggestions of where to visit during our stay.

  • Very special place. Much more then we expected, and our expectations were already high. The landscape is unbelievable. Alan is an amazing host. We will be back for a longer period of time.

  • I loved my stay here. The cottage was perfectly located as my home base for exploring Acadia, and as a musician, being able to come back and play the piano was amazing. Alan was a gracious host, and kindly took the time to show me around the cottage and Arts Barn adjacent. The sleeping loft was cozy, and there is a great view of the mountains of Acadia from the piano bench. I would recommend the cottage to almost anyone, but you have any interest in music as well, this is definitely the place!

  • Alan was welcoming and hospitable, and our stay was very pleasant. The area was beautiful—calm and quiet, far away from light pollution, and perfect for recharging. Sleeping-wise, the lofted area was very cozy and the couch bed was a comfortable second option. Having a piano to play was a huge bonus!

  • We had a lovely time staying in Alan's cabin in Surry. The cabin is in a beautiful and tranquil location, with gorgeous views. Alan was welcoming and made sure we had what we needed for a comfortable stay. His property has an eclectic collection of barns and buildings that once housed an opera company among other things. A hidden gem.

  • A memorable stay.....we took day trips to both Baxter and Acadia from here.

The Joshua Tree House is a two bed two bath 1949 hacienda located 10 minutes from the west entrance of Joshua Tree National Park in Joshua Tree, CA. This is a place for dreamers to reset, reflect, and create. Designed with a 'slow' pace in mind, our hope is that you enjoy every part of your stay; from making local coffee by drip in the morning, choosing the perfect record to put on as the sun sets, or by relaxing in the hot tub surrounded by over 100 Joshua Trees and a starry night sky.
Instagram: @thejoshuatreehouse (all photos tagged with #thejoshuatreehouse) This house is very close to downtown Joshua Tree with many shops and restaurants about a 10 minute walk from the house. This also means that some sound from the highway can be heard. If you're looking for a completely silent desert experience, we would recommend our other property: The Joshua Tree Casita ( Please also check that listing if you can't find the dates you're looking for. Welcome to the Joshua Tree House! This hacienda was built in 1949. With over 100 Joshua Trees on the property, the views from the house are magical. If you're up for it, sunrise on the front porch is incredible. We estimate that some of the larger Joshua Trees on the property are as old as our country! *Mattresses and Bedding by Casper* There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms in the house, and works well for a group of friends, two couples, or small families. We can also set up an extra memory foam mattress in the hammock room (has privacy with pocket sliding doors) to accommodate groups of six.
Joshua Tree is a small community made up of musicians, artists, and explorers. In the village you will find locally owned and run restaurants, art galleries, music venues, and vintage shops. There are many wonderful places to visit during your stay at the house including the Joshua Tree National Park, Pappy & Harriet's, the Integratron, Salvation Mountain, the Salton Sea, Noah Purifoy Outdoor Museum, Crossroads, BKB Ceramics, and la Copine (a delicious new french restaurant in the desert).
  • Sara and Rich went above and beyond to create a desert sanctuary. Their creativity and design in every detail is what makes the Joshua Tree House so special. We can't wait to go back!

  • Our stay at the Joshua Tree house was amazing -- despite a few problems caused by unusually strong rain, our time at the house couldn't have gone better. both Sara and Rich were available to answer any and all questions, and were extremely helpful before and during our stay. we loved the recommendations and visiting the integratron. it was overall a great experience and we can't wait to stay again. thanks so much for having us!

  • This is a one-of-a-kind place! Beautiful and clean accommodations - excellent communication from the owners. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend it to others.

  • This home is the perfect oasis adjacent to the town of Joshua Tree and the national park. It couldn't be more comfortable or restorative. Sara & Rich have honored the authentic 1930's spanish vibe, with tile roof sheltering from the heat, and designed the interior with a perfect blend of beautiful mid century finds and super comfortable bedding. They are communicative, gracious and extremely thoughtful hosts.

  • Beautiful house. Really enjoyed staying here.

  • Our stay at the Joshua Tree House was nothing short of magical. Sara and Rich were extremely hospitable, and although we didn't meet them they were quick to respond to any inquiries. The house was beautifully decorated and appeared exactly as it did in photos. The location is also just a few minutes from Joshua Tree National park and near lots of great shops and bars. I would go back to Joshua Tree House in a heartbeat! Thank you Sara and Rich!

  • We spent 3 beautiful days here and loved everything about it. Sara and Rich's home is beautifully designed, cozy and in close proximity to good eats and the National Park. Added perk, they have an awesome selection of records on hand. Put on Nina, light a fire and enjoy the quiet and beauty of this place.

  • I've been following the making of this place on Instagram and waited patiently for our turn as we had to book it 3 months in advance. Pictures do not do this place justice. Aces all around. Big hats off to Sara and Rich for carefully curating every detail that take advantage of one of the most special locations in the world. I can't speak more highly of this place. I wanna live here foreverrrrr.

A very modern studio 3 mins walk from Tul'skaya tube station (2 stations from the Kremlin) or 10 mins walk from Shabolovskaya tube station (1 station from the Kremlin). The studio is equipped with: - dish washer - washing machine with a dryer - a small balcony - big LCD TV with a Mac adapter - hi-fi dock station for iPod/iPhone - fast unlimited wireless internet - shower with an integrated sauna (steam) - ironing facilities - cooking facilities (i.e. oven, pots and pans etc) - additional folding bed for 1 person I will take care of fresh towels on demand and full cleaning of the apartment every 7 days with bed linen change. However if you request cleaning every 1-2 days, I will do it at a reasonable extra cost. Dear guests I'll be glad to see you and answer all your questions! Welcome to Moscow!
  • I only stayed for two nights, and it was such a pity, because we had such a great stay! we arrived pretty late, at 11pm, and Anton met us in the train station, drove us to the flat, and explained everything we need to know. The flat was very nice, clean and modernly equipped. The flat have everything visitors could ever need of, including a local phone, coffee, and even detergents! The location was central, near to a market, metro station, and 24 hour fast food joints and supermarket. I hope to be back again someday for longer, and I would definitely recommend this place!

  • Anton is a genuine and decent guy that helped us out from the very start of our trip. He provided us with a lovely apartment, and was always on hand to give assistance. I would certainly return to Moscow, and would definitely stay in this apartment again!

  • Here, you will not only stay in a perfect loft but also meet a great landlord Anton! The loft studio has everything you need and metro station is very close to apartman so it is very easy to reach hot points of Moscow from here. Anton, who is a great host, gave us many tips about the area of the loft and helped us to reach airport in the last day of our trip. I strongly recommend you to stay in this loft, if you need not only bed and kitchen but also a great hospitality.

  • We had a great time. The flat had everything you could ever need and Anton is the perfect host. He welcomed us and helped us get settled in and on our way home he even gave us a ride and helped with our bags. I would highly recommend Anton to anyone who is coming to visit Moscow.

  • All was cool and nice. Recommended.

  • We spent fours days at Anton's apartment. Anton was very helpful and quick to respond to any queries we had before we arrived in Moscow. We were met by his Mum, who was very helpful & friendly and showed us around the studio. The studio is exactly as per the photographs, it has everything you need: contemporary bathroom with a great shower, hair dryer, ironing board, fast internet & comfy bed etc. The apartment was spotlessly clean and well looked after. The studio is only five minutes walk from the Metro and in close proximity to all the major sites. We would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Anton's apartment. Hopefully we'll be booking in again on our next trip to Moscow.

  • A fantastic apartment in a great location for exploring Moscow. Anton was a really helpful host who gave great advice and was always at the end of the phone if needed :)

  • Another wondrous visit to Camden Town. Once again, I could not recommend Tessa and her flat highly enough!!!

  • This is the first time I use the crashpaddor and I really enjoyed it! Tessa is a great host. She is very nice and provide me with loads of information. Very warm stay and definitely come back if visiting London again!

  • We had a short but comfortable stay at Tessa's. She was very kind host. Thank you Tessa.

  • Tessa's place is wonderfully decorated, cosy and clean. She's a fantastic host who is very helpful with any questions you have about London and provides lots of info. Safe and convenient location close to public transport and markets which were great!

    Crystal & Nathan2013-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • Tessa's place in Camden was terrific! Her flat is lovely - very comfortable bed and enough space for our two large suitcases. She was there to greet us as we arrived, and we saw her again before we left the next morning. She gave us great recommendations for restaurants, etc. I would definitely recommend staying here! It was perfect :)

  • Tessa is a delightful host - very warm and welcoming with a fasciniating career and life experiences behind her. She's a very creative person which ensures good conversation and explains the artistically arranged collections of every imaginable kind of unusual object, painting, print, stack of books etc with which she has truly personalised her wonderful flat. I felt very 'at home' here immediately: the sofa bed is good quality and comfortable, there's wi-fi access, use of the kitchen, tea / coffee as desired, a very atmospheric (as well as perfectly functional) bathroom with shower and towels. Tessa was very respectful of my privacy but we were also both relaxed enough with each other so that I felt like a friend who had been invited to stay rather than just a paying guest. Tessa provides lots of specially collected tourist and London travel information. The flat is very well positioned for walking access to Camden and Kentish Town as well as on easy, regular and quick bus routes into the centre of London. I particularly appreciated how clear and accurate Tessa is in her Crashpadder information which I got a lot of confidence from before booking. As someone who travels to London frequently I'm sure I will be back.

  • My daughter and I stayed in Tessa's apartment for one week and think it was the BEST apartment we have stayed in.Tessa is such a lovely person. When we got there she had left a welcome pack with lots of maps and all different kinds of guide books of London wich were very useful. There was also a basket of shampoos and toiletries. She made us feel very comfortable and welcome. Camden is a great area and is very easy to get to by bus or tube . There are lots of wonderful cafes and shops nearby which Tessa told us about. Best of all is Tessa's home is like a magic place from the moment you walk in the front door. The bedroom is big and beautifully decorated. If you love art, you will love staying with Tessa, there are so many interesting things to look at. It is a wonderful place to come home to after a busy day in London. Thank you so much Tessa !!!!! Tawny

  • St James station Kew gardens Piccadilly Circus Staying in Tessa's incredible home for a week was nowhere near long enough! Truly privileged to have had the opportunity to stay in such a uniquely central camden town home with an equally amazing host! Can't wait to return :)

Escape civilization to this incredible and peaceful getaway! Reconnect with nature and disconnect from technology on your own private deck surrounded by pristine and untouched nature just a short drive away from LA. Please check our insta account @malibudreamairstream for more pics.
This is the personal Airstream of a nature-loving Malibu designer who built it as his personal getaway from his busy hectic schedule. Stripped down to its bare aluminum studs, the airstream has been redesigned into a large studio with three large frameless glass panels that slide open to a huge cantilevered deck with unrivaled views of the pristine Santa Monica mountains rolling down to the Pacific ocean below. Lounge in our luxury extra thick wool rugs and cotton poufs, drive down to surf one of Malibu's best breaks or go hike Sandstone Peak (Santa Monica's highest mountain). But whatever you do, make sure not to miss the incredible sunsets off our deck. At night, watch the milky way appear and count the constellations above or the moon reflect on the ocean below. And if the wind is right, listen to the sounds of the crashing waves travel up the canyon or even the seals barking down below. And then at dawn, if you're lucky with the morning fog, wake up above the clouds like you are the only person in this planet. VERY IMPORTANT: DO NOT CLICK ON THE AIRBNB LINK FOR DIRECTIONS as it might take you to the wrong location. Only use the accurate directions provided on our itinerary. If you don't you might get lost and we are not responsible if you do not follow our easy and foolproof directions. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THIS LISTING if you are afraid of nature or its creatures. Understand you are surrounded by thousands of completely untouched nature. You are very likely to hear (or see) coyotes, owls, seals, roadrunners and bunnies. There is a bobcat in the area but these are usually very skittish. There are a mice in the Santa Monica mountains. About once a month, a guest will complain that they saw a mouse. Said mouse might come into the airstream if food is left outside the fridge. We do not offer refunds if a mouse comes into the airstream but we do have 4 traps around the airstream so the odds are heavily stacked against the mice. In three years we have yet to ever see a rattle snake near the airstream so the area is definitely not prone to them. This listing is weather dependent. If there is a high chance of rain scheduled during your stay we reserve the right to cancel the reservation due to potential slippery road conditions and the fact that we have to store all the expensive furniture inside the airstream. The beauty of this experience lies in seeing infinite views and yet no trace of humankind. Sleeping with the doors open, under the milky-way while hearing the ocean waves crashing below and the occasional seal barking in the distance or coyote howling for its pack. Our guests have the most special nights here. Reconnect with nature and disconnect from technology :-)
Circle x ranch, county line beach, matador beach, zuma as well as many other hikes are all less than 10mn away.
  • Beautiful Place to go and get away. Will definitely be back

  • Christian was very responsive and helpful in trying to make the stay work, but due to weather (rain and wind) I wasn't able to stay at the Airstream. Christian gives ample notice about this possible eventuality on the listing, so it was not a surprise, just unfortunate timing for me. The place looks amazing, so Christian and I are in discussions on a mutually agreeable date to reschedule my visit. Really looking forward to it

  • This is one of the most beautiful and unique Airbnb listings I have been to. The view is incredible and the airstream is beautifully renovated. I would love to go back. Thanks Rani!

    Holly 2016-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay at Rani's airstream. Make sure you read all the instructions! Because I did not and was lost on a mountain for an hour with no service. Do not use Waze, only (Hidden by Airbnb) maps. I also wouldn't drive here late at night, with all the rain California has got it made driving pretty scary. The drive is not for the faint of heart, or maybe I'm just a wuss. The place is absolutely breathtaking. If you're trying to escape, this is the place to go!

  • The Malibu Dream Airstream is an inspiring sacred space. Waking up every day to the incredible view made us feel like we were in the clouds! It was a great place to meditate and reconnect with nature and to realize that there is so much more than the self. The drive up was also fun and filled with breathtaking scenery. Rani and Christian were great hosts and did everything they could to make us feel at home. Truly one of the best Airbnb experiences we've ever had.

  • This is quite possibly the most magical and amazing place I've ever stayed. It's quite the adventure, especially when the road turns to dirt and there's no guardrail preventing one's vehicle from edging over the side of the road. However, careful driving and patience will reward you with one of the most amazing views and experiences, possibly in the whole United States. Christian was super pleasant and very accommodating. This is an experience everyone should have at least once in their life.

  • I don't know if I can say enough positive words about the experience staying at this Airstream trailer. Christian answered all my questions promptly and offered his advice for local activities prior to check-in. The directions were easy to follow and lead you to the top of the Malibu hills where Christian met us for an easy check-in and overview of the trailer and surrounding area. The trailer itself is clean and nicely decorated just as in the pictures. The restrooms and shower were better than expected and offered a nice touch of the indoors. I have saved the best for last...the view. It was the most beautiful view I've seen in California. The deck offered front row seats to the sun setting over the ocean and the stars that can't be seen without escaping LA's lights. Absolutely fantastic. If you are looking for a unique getaway, this should be top of your list.

  • Amazing view!

  • What an amazing place! The accommodation is first rate, the views are out of this world! We experienced the real Iceland, the iconic Iceland - amazing northern lights after a beautiful blue sky day, then a white out of a blizzard the next morning! It was fabulous to watch mother nature doing her thing through the huge glass wall of the villa.

  • Gunnar's home is simply stunning! The view, the furnishings, the hot tub... it was truly a slice of heaven for us. My only regret is that we could not stay longer, as the villa was booked before and after our visit! Thank you, Gunnar, for sharing your beautiful home with us!

  • The view from this house is incredible, probably one of the best we've ever experienced. Gunnar was responsive and accommodating the whole way through as well. There were a few challenges with the house but nothing major--the alarm system went off when we entered, hot tub was challenging to fill, shower overflowed with anything longer than 5 mins, etc. and it wasn't as outfitted as the 2 other houses we'd stayed at in Iceland--definitely felt like a rental. It's also a bit loud as all bedrooms face the main living area and there's quite an echo. But nothing major that would seriously hinder the overall experience--on the whole it was fantastic. The location was great as well prociding easy access to all there is to see in North Iceland and Akureyri. Thanks Gunnar!

  • We enjoyed our stay in that beautiful location very much, especially the wonderful view and our baths in the hot pot. There is plenty to do around Akureyri, the landscape is fascinating. Gunnar is a perfect host, he did everything he could to contribute to our gorgeous holiday. Thanks a lot.

  • The house was comfortable, clean and well presented. It was well equipped and the beds were very comfortable. The host was helpful and attentive. The house is overlooked on most sides and it does not enjoy it's own garden, so is not quite the tranquil haven we'd imagined. However, the views are great. The hot tub is nice, but needs filling with each use. Some of the finishings left us thinking this house is still 'being finished'. This house is not really equipped for children. In the end we spent less time at the house itself, for various reasons. But it is a decent base to explore the wider area.

  • The host canceled this reservation 175 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

  • Best place to stay in Akureyri. It's really better than your expectations.

  • What an amazing place! We loved our stay at Gunnar's place and wish we could have stayed for longer! Not many hosts send spare keys to you via plane (from Reykjavik to Akureyri) within an afternoon! Perfect experience

  • Whitt, Martha, and Mia were outstanding hosts. Whitt made the most delicious food for us each morning, which surpassed our expectations! For a fee, Whitt will also make dinner for you, which I highly recommend. We also truly enjoyed the beautiful yurt, which was supremely clean and had everything we needed plus more. I felt very comfortable knowing I had a working stove, a hot shower, blankets, a clean and comfy bed, fresh clean water, all the kitchen supplies we could need, and a safe and sturdy structure to sleep in. Communications from Whitt, Martha, and Mia were friendly and quick. They were on top of every email and every question I sent their way -- from asking questions about our stay to finding a good steak -- they were extremely responsive. Mia also gave us a lovely tour of the farm where we had the opportunity to meet the sweetest dogs, turkeys, goats, chickens, and alpacas. Overall, the experience was exactly what we needed -- for me, a comfortable experience that involved indoor plumbing and for my fiancé, the calmness and stillness in a secluded place. Plus, our hosts took care of us so well and with such gracious hospitality. What an excellent way to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and find peace and quiet among nature.

  • We had an amazing time at the yurt this past weekend. Whitt really thought through the details when he built this place, and as a result, everything you need is just where you need it. We had a ball -- cooking in the fab kitchen, listening to music, hanging out in the loft, reading on the deck, relaxing in the hot tub ... couldn't have asked for anything more. The mountain is beautiful, the yurt is lovely, the breakfast is delicious, and we can't wait to come back!

  • Very nice yurt. Whitt and his wife are extremely friendly, and their breakfast is wonderful.

  • The yurt has been one of our most memorable experiences. Whitt and Martha have left nothing to chance when it comes to comfort, and the setting in a forrest on a mountain with magnificent views has to be seen to be believed. A swimming pool, hot tub and delicious breakfasts, plus the opportunity to have a guided tour of their sustainable practice farm make this a delightful experience.

  • Whitt and Martha were wonderful hosts! The welcome plate and breakfast was delicious!! The yurt is so comfortable and relaxing. We were only there for one night so we didn't get to enjoy all the amenities as we would've liked. Next time, we'd stay longer!

  • The yurt was definitely a unique destination. My girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed the nearby animals and the location close to Shenandoah NP. We brought groceries and made a delicious meal Saturday night... bonus points for the well-appointed kitchen! When you leave you'll be thinking, "I should build one too".

  • I stayed in Whitt and Martha's yurt two weekends in a row, one with kids and one without. In both cases, everyone had a perfect weekend getaway. The yurt is exactly as pictured, even better. Every amenity has been taken care of -- from nightlights in the right places to nice linens to a welcome platter in the fridge to the board games. It's clean, sunny, airy, large, filled with fun activities. The deck is large, furnishings are ample, the kitchen filled with everything you will need. Communicating with Whitt and Martha was also easy. They responded very quickly and were very accommodating. We took a tour of their farm which is a big operation, kids swam in the pool and enjoyed the hot tub. They also had great suggestions for activities in the vicinity, from hikes, to caverns, to restaurants. The breakfasts were also delicious and healthy. Can't wait to go back.

  • Outstanding, unique woodland retreat. Past woods & fields, onto a dirt track for 1.5 miles and just when you think you are lost, there it is. This beautifully crafted yurt, elegantly furnished with comfy bed, full kitchen, good shower and all the green credentials you could wish for. Plus a pool and hot tub to yourself. Our host brought a hot, freshly made breakfast to our door each morning, to be enjoyed under the awning on the deck. If its cold at all, there is a log fire, TV and Scrabble to be enjoyed....but just listen to the peace and enjoy the solitude. A very special place indeed.

Villa Amonteera is located on a hill near Surin Beach overlooking Bang Tao beach. The views from our villa are second to none on Phuket, and we pride ourselves on our cuisine and the modern facilities available for our guests. Due to the limited access and staff, Villa Amonteera is a very secure facility. We are also very close to the ocean and can have a car that can take you (maximum 12 guests) anywhere on the island during normal working hours for only the price of fuel.
  • Very nice villa big enough to accommodate 20 people. The pool was very nice and size was big enough for multiple of us to swim at the same time. The view is amazing. The service was very good. They did everything we expected and beyond. It is good villa if you want to spend most of the time there. However we could not operate or cook anything in the villa as it was for the safety of the visitors. Also the steep road up the hill of the villa was not easy if you are not an experience driver. Overall it was a good time there and I would recommend it to others.

  • It was definitely a stunning villa but several matters that were not up to expectations. 1. The cinema room was not available. The projector was not working which was sad as one of the main reasons we booked the villa was because of the cinema room 2. In the evenings when there are several people taking their shower, the hot water is not able to sustain its supply. Some ended up with a cold shower. 3. There was some kind of condensation in the rooms. One of the kids slipped and fell, knocking his head on the floor as the floor was wet.

  • This is a good place for a relaxing holiday. The photos and the description on web-site are the same as the real view. We total 20 adults live in here. We all love the swimming pool and the poolside dinning area very much. The butler - Thomas was very helpful. As we don't want to sleep on the bunk beds which for children, I've sent email to Thomas to arrange not to sleep on bunk beds. As a result, the arrangement was good, my friend should sleep on a pull-out bed instead of bunk beds. So, thanks Thomas very much. The surprise birthday cake was good, as I asked Thomas to prepare before our arrival. The Thai food (450b - 800b per person), no matter lunch or dinner, was very delicious, must try. To us, Thai food was better than BBQ dinner. For the in-house massage (800b per hour) was very comfortable and convenient. You can spend a few days to enjoy this villa without getting out. We love this villa very much. We hope can come again soon.

  • Gorgeous place, friendly staff and amazing view! The pictures does not do it justice. The villa is much larger than it looks in the pictures, perfect for larger groups. Everything ran smoothly during our stay and the staff took good care of us. We were a group of 16 and took full advantage of all the amenities the property has to offer. Our stay was too short, but we enjoyed every minute. One thing we didn’t expect was, the service the staff provided. When you stay at hotel you never get this kind of attention and service. Me and my wife are accustomed with high service, but this was beyond our expectation. The villa chef made us delicious thai food. We did not get the chance (or feel the need) to try his western food or the pizzas. This place is sure one-of-a-kind in terms of design, thoughtfully designed and has everything you need. I can’t put everything into words, but this was definitely a beautiful place! There is no doubt that we will try rent this villa again sometime in the future. I can’t thank Carl M. enough for his help and all the information that he gave us before our arrival. This place was definitely the highlight of your holiday.

  • A great ten day stay at a fantastic villa situated on the hills above Surin beach. The villa really got everything so sometimes you find it hard to leave. The villa, staff (and specifically the meals they make), pool and cinema.... the list goes on. If you would happen to find something missing the villa manager Mem is a gem and helps out with anything and everything. Could not recommend this place enough. Thank you again!

  • The house manager Barbara, the drivers, the chef and everyone working in the villa is very kind and helpful! The villa was terrific just like the fantastic pictures shown on Airbnb. The pool lounge, the cinema, the view from the rooftop, everything is perfect. The room was very clean and neat, better than many 5-star hotels. I strongly recommend you guys to try this Villa while stay in Phuket especially for group tourists around 10-16.

  • Luxurious, 5-star villa experience. We booked this for a work retreat and couldn't have been more pleased. The staff was particularly friendly and made this a wonderful stay. Can't wait to come back!

  • This is by far one of the best villas I have ever stayed at. It is absolutely stunning and exactly as the pictures portray. The staff of the villa are also extremely helpful and made sure that all our needs are met. Will definitely love to stay at Amonteera again when visiting phuket.

  • This Jack Sparrow house was our favourite choice on Jonathan's property. It was great for a short novelty stay in Cornwall far out amongst nature. It had a small heater, a toilet inside the house, a comfy bed (quite small for 2 6ft people, but manageable) and enough room to move around. We were warmly greeted at the property by one of Jonathan's staff and given a detailed tour as well as coals to start our fire. Our first trip to Cornwall was made very pleasant by staying in this house. I would recommend staying here if all attractions aren't too long of a drive from the property itself - to make it easier and quicker to get around. The night we came in was a Saturday, so there seemed to be a lot of socialising happening in the main house which carried on to outside. Can't blame anyone as it was the weekend, but you can hear everything very easily. Lovely to be around nature and listen to the birds!

  • Amazing experience.. will be back for sure!

  • Great place to stay for a night. The town nearby, St Keverne, was also fantastic.

  • We had a very pleasant stay with Jonathan and will surely return again.

  • We had such a lovely romantic weekend stay in the Jack Sparrow House. We were absolutely enchanted by all of the details and had a wonderful meal at the nearby pub as recommended in the great welcome document. The surrounding paths and meadows were wonderful to walk through and we will cherish our memories of the trip for a long time to come!

  • My partner and I had amazing time over new years at the Jack sparrow house. Although the weather was very blustery, the house was lovely and warm. Thank you for a beautiful experience.

One of the hidden treasure of Hvar and the most authentic village on the island is the abandoned shepherd's village of Humac. We are delighted to offer one of the most unique accommodations in Croatia, in the newly renovated house with amazing views.
Our house is located 10 km east of Jelsa, at the entrance to the eco-ethno village Humac and it takes only 10 minutes by car on newly renovated road to Jelsa. The beautiful beaches on the north side of island are also 10 minutes away by car. House has a fully equipped kitchen with fireplace and refrigerator with mini freezer, big table, Wifi internet, two rooms, lines and towels and toilet with shower. There are two rooms, one is on ground flour with single and double bad and gallery with two single beds and one double bed. House is supplied with electricity by solar power supply. Running water in the home is used from the water tank, which is located under the ground and fill with rainwater, collected from the roof and it's heated by special solar sistem. You have parking place in the pine shade. You will also get bikes to use, at no extra charge. This house is in very, very quite area, without traffic on the road because the village is non inhabited, there is only a restaurant 100 meters away. Also you have a large area around the house of 500m2 with tree shade, where your children can play and you will get the necessary peace and privacy. From the yard, you will be able to enjoy in beautiful view, facing island Brač and Zečevo, Vrboska, Jelsa and Stari Grad bay. From Humac we can organized yours visits to the nearby Grapčeva špilja (Grapčeva cave), one of the most important prehistoric site on the Mediterranean with the findings from 4 000 B.C. ABOUT VILLAGE HUMAC A unique example of well preserved rural architecture, formerly a pastoral village, Humac originated in the 17th century. At the height of 350 m above sea level, you have a magnificent panoramic view of all the surrounding places, coves, the island of Brač and Makarska’s coast. The charm of this village lies in its harmonious stone houses, courtyards, balconies, narrow streets and nature which all give an inspiring sight. Humac is a very old village where man has been living for centuries. There are many simple houses made of stone in its surroundings called trim, built without binder in a way that they become narrower towards the top. Many of them have their original foundations from early Stone Age. Inhabitants of Humac have been occupied with cattle and wine growing for thousands years, and in around 1950 they started growing lavender. In the last few centuries people didn't live in Humac, but spent time in Humac during major agrarian works.
  • This is an old an fully restored stone house with a bedroom and a loft. There is also a dining area with a separate entrance, but we never used it because we ate and hung out outside. The property itself is beautiful and very large, with amazing views. Mario is a great host, very easy to communicate with. His brother Jakov met us at the house. Jakov is also a tourist guide and knows a lot about Humac and the surrounding area.

  • Host was very responsive via email and met us at the gate. The house looks just like the pictures with an incredible sunset over the lavender fields. It is definitely a unique experience. Humac is an interesting place with a lovely restaurant a few steps away. It is a stop many visitors from Jelsa and nearby beaches come to to check out during the day and you will see them on moped and bikes, but the village remains peaceful, especially at night. My wife had some allergy issues at night and Mario offered us a place to stay at their apartments at no cost, which went above and beyond. Like all of the hosts we met in Croatia, they were incredibly welcoming.

  • Would you like to relax in sun overlooking a beautiful water view away from the noise of other tourists? Would you like to have an entire ancient, abandoned stone village to wander around? Would you like to bike (the bikes are provided!!!) along wooded trails with constant sea views? Would you like to hike for miles? Or drive to a nearby town for some ice cream or coffee by the sick? Would you like to light a roaring, romantic fire on a (rare!) chilly night and grill some fresh caught fish? Would you like to be 15 minutes from many stunning and secluded beaches? Look no further. The home is already a vacation in itself. The rest of the island is just a conveniently close bonus!!! Marco and his genuinely friendly family provided us with the best holiday we have been on in years. We had all the privacy and relaxation that we could ever want. It was amazing, and we plan to book again ASAP. I would recommend this home to all of my friends and family. Truly unforgettable. Don't hesitate- booking this home will be one of the most amazing and unique experiences that you will ever have!!!!! I've been all over Europe, and I've never found anything like it. If you don't feel like cooking in- jelsa, verboska, and stari grad are at your fingertips and you can take the brief drive to very affordable and delicious food (appetisers, two mains and a litre of wine for £3o!!!!! Delicious wood fired pizza is even cheaper!). There is a grill on premises for meat, and a two gas burners for making omelettes for breakfast. :) it was just perfect. We were so relaxed and comfortable. A small herd of friendly horses will even come by to greet you! This place is great to families, romantic holidays, and shy sunbathers. There were plenty of towels and bedding- extra blankets if needed! Also toilet paper, kitchen roll, dish soap, sponges, salt, sugar, oil, pepper, vinegar, tons of pots and pans- and red and while wine!!!!' Just being your own coffee or tea and you will be set. I even found aluminium foil and plastic wrap. The kitchen is very well appointed. Really- if you're considering this place- just book it. None of the beaches are more than half an hour away by car, and all of the secluded ones are nearby!! This place is magic. Book it.

  • Thank you so much to Mario and his brother for everything!!! We actually changed the course of our vacation in order to stay at this place because it looked so unique, and it was SO worth it. We did the typical Dalmatian coast experience of beautiful port towns, boats, and swimming in the gorgeous ocean on other days, and this place far up on the top of the island was a PERFECT compliment. This is a side of Croatia many people don't get to experience. It is easy to have the coast and boat experience. It is difficult to feel so connected to the farming and land history of the Adriatic islands. Mario's place, his family, the ruins that are right there, the ancient cave there, the restaurant there making everything the way they have for hundreds of years, the lilac fields and stone walls, the grapevines and fig trees and olive trees, the sounds of the cicadas while napping in the hammocks... Humac gives visitors that rich, meaningful connection to the history of the land. Also, Mario was fantastic at responding with information and advice, his brother helped set up dinner and the cave and distillery and ruins tour, they checked the bikes and gave us info on where to bike, and arranged our ride to the ferry. AND they are rich with wonderful information, so any time you spend with them you learn incredible things about what is around you. Oh, and everything smells incredible, whether it's the incredible food at the restaurant nearby or all the lavender in the house (which is gorgeous, and cool inside because of the thick stone walls). We couldn't have had a more perfect experience!!!

  • We spend two beautiful day in Mario's house. Big enough for 7 people, we enjoyed the patio and the fireplace for the barbecue. He was really nice, and give us lots of advice for our trip on Hvar island. Perfect for any one else who want to spend some days in on a calm and nice landscape. Highly recommended!

  • To book House Humac a cold day in January and then experience that all your hopes and expectations regarding the house was fulfilled at our stay at the end of July tells something about this unique place and the friendly and helpful host's - Mario, Jakov and their parents. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay at your house. We would like to come back one day but until then we will spread the word about your lovely place. Best regards Tilde and family.

  • We spent wonderful holidays in Marios house! This is amazing calm and peaceful place in the mountains of Hvar! Everything was like in the description on the Internet and Mario and his brother, Jakov, were great and helpful hosts! We appreciated the wonderful view, the garden and the nature! We had a lot of fun with our bikes! We recommend this house to everyone who looks for a calm and peaceful place in the nature!

  • This cottage was amazing. Set on top of a hill looking down over the valley to the sea, provided a beautiful sun set and relaxing atmosphere. We had a very warm welcome from Mario's brother Jakov, who show us around. They provided us with fire wood, home made goodies and a bottle of home made wine. There is a lot to explore on foot around the cottage and small towns and beaches by car. Mountain bikes were provided for us as well. Mario was very easy to contact and was in contact with us to be sure everything was going ok. He made everything easy for us. We will diffidently stay here again.

This spacious, unparalleled cave house, hanging on the cliffs of the caldera in the center of Oia, is part of a traditional complex of cave houses, owned & renovated by a family of architects.
Crowning a unique complex of cave houses which used to serve as the old bakery of the settlement, and just a moment from the main pedestrian street of Oia, lays the remarkable cave house of sculptural aesthetics. Originally renovated for personal use by local craftsmen, the house perfectly combines traditional style with comfort. The plasticity of its forms, the use of local techniques, the built in beds and the selection of antique furniture together with the modern amenities, strike the right balance between sophistication and coziness. The cave house has two private bedrooms one of which was actually the old cistern, now transformed into a cocoon, cave room. This couples' nest, is five organic-formed steps sideways and below the main level of the house, with an emperor size (200 x 200 cm) built in bed and vintage wooden furniture. The original path that was naturally created by the cliff structure, connecting the two caves which form this house, leads to the master bedroom, on the other side of the house, maintaining the original architectural plan. With a private entrance, two windows and a door that separates it from the rest of the house, this bright and spacious bed room comfortably fits an oak queen size bed (160 x 200 cm), a large desk with a chair, an antique bookcase and a handcrafted mirror. Both bedrooms are equipped with high quality latex mattresses. In the commodious, off-white living room, a warm and relaxing corner has been created by the two large built in sofa beds (easily accommodating two for sleep) and the square beech wood coffee table. On the side, a solid, oak wood dining table is surrounded be a wooden and a built in bench, comfortably sitting a company of six for a luscious meal, right next to the fully equipped kitchen. There, an oven, ceramic hot plates, refrigerator, coffee machine, electric kettle, toaster and cutlery ensure your stay will be as convenient as possible. The bathroom, deeply curved in the cave, with off white local stucco technique and marble from Crete, has a handcrafted marble wash basin and rain shower. Outdoors, the private terraces expand on different levels literally on the rim of the caldera, creating unique angles and comfortable sitting spaces. You have travelled miles in order to come here; this is the time that you can finally grasp the serenity and beauty of the sensational, unobstructed view of the volcano, the caldera, the sea and the sky which will undoubtedly leave you breathless. Enjoy!
Oia is the most picturesque coastal town on the northwestern tip of Santorini. The town has whitewashed houses carved into the rugged clifftops, and overlooks a vast caldera filled with water.
  • We rented this house for 2 days. 2 adults and 2 kids. The house is absolutely amazing. nothing we ever experienced before. It looks exactly as the pictures and we couldn't imagine a better "local-like" housing experience. The location of the house cannot be described in words -- on one hand you're smack in the middle of the busiest tourist location so you are minutes away from all the best restaurants, attractions and shops. on the other hand - you sit in the house (or better yet - on one of the three terraces...) and you feel like you're on a secluded island. just you and the beautiful Santorini views. It was like living in a postcard. Laskarina has been a great host. Arranged for our pick up from and to the ferry and provided a very detailed list of recommendations for shops, attractions and restaurant. Each place we tried based on her list turned out to be a gem and highly ranked in other trusted sites. Both Laskarina and the housekeeper were quick to respond to every assistance request / question we had even on a Sunday. I can't think of experiencing Santorini any other way and recommend that you don't pass up the opportunity of staying in this house.

  • I have stayed at many such apartments in Italy, Spain and Greece and I can only say that this was by far the most charming place I have ever stayed at (and likely to ever find). The location is great (right next to the Skala and Skiza restaurants in Ouia, 2 minutes from the church near the tourist office), the view is spectacular and the furnishings impeccable. We had a terrific time in Santorini and a lot of it was because of this villa we stayed in. The prime sunset viewing spot is 5-7 minutes away by foot. In the evening, you can sit in your own private balcony and watch the cruise ships sail by. John and Laskarina helped us with booking travel from the airport.

  • Laskarina arranged the transport to pick us up from the airport, and her husband John met us at the car park with a porter to carry our luggage to the cave house. This was very considerate and helpful as otherwise we would be struggling to carry the bags down the steps to the house. On our departure, John arranged for the porter to carry our bags to the car park again. We are very pleased with the service. John is a lovely guy, he shown us around the house and how things work. He gave us a mobile with his number on it so we could communicate with him whenever we need his help. The extractor fan in the bathroom wasn't working and John turned up the same day to fix it. There were bath and beach towels available. The kitchen is very functional with kettle, coffeemaker and toaster, etc. Complimentary coffee, tea bags, bottle of wine and fruits on our arrival which was very nice indeed. (Sorry we have broken a couple of glasses). There was even a full length mirror in one of the bedrooms, amazing!

  • The location of the place is wonderful, and the view is spectacular. Lots of stuff around the apartment to eat/shop. The place is very nice, and I would definitely stay there again!

  • We highly recommend Laskarina's place , give us wonderful memories, beautiful , stunning house . And is a perfect place to take pics with the sea , lots of people ask us where they can book this place . Laskarina is very kind , we arrived in airport after midnight , Laskarina tried her best to help us ,we are so lucky ! Thank you Laskarina

  • We loved our stay at Laskarina's place- great location, close to everything without too many stairs! Laskarina was a fantastic host, highly recommend.

  • Great all around. Centrally located but provides a great oasis from crowds once you step down into the cave dwelling. Layout is roomie and charming. Clean and well cared for. Of course amazing views of the caldera. We loved our experience in santorini. Last note, if you have a chance to do a sailing trip, Laskarina recommended Black&Blue Sailing. They don't have the largest fleet but the guys (Paris and Lukas) we're amazing. Hands down the single best day of our trip and we had some amazing days!

  • Fabulous place to stay in the centre of Oia and although the village was extremely busy with tourists, the cave house was peaceful and cool. Laskarini booked transfers to and from the airport and on the day we had to check out, looked after our luggage until it was time to leave. Anna, who looked after the house and patios, was always happy to come back later when our daughters had (Website hidden by Airbnb) was hard to leave.
