There are also additional throws and blankets to curl up with! Kitchen is fully equipped with all new full size stainless steel appliances which include a refridgerator, stove, oven, microwave and a Keurig coffee machine. There is also ceramic dishes, utensils and the basics for cooking. I provide complimentary Organic coffee and organic tea! Bedroom offers a quiet rustic haven decorated in neutral tones with a brand new pillow top queen bed and lots of pillows! Bathroom has a shower (slightly on the short side 6ft but gets the job done) brand new toilet, sink and super plush towels! I provide soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo and conditioner. Desk/workspace is a formal work area with wall mounted surge protector outlets, desk, chair, wifi, and window above desk for extra light. Everything has been recently updated with all new appliances, furniture, bedding and lots of added perks. There are also bicycles available by request.
My place is walking distance to downtown Ukiah where you will find Patrona's, Saucy, Ritual and the Farmers Market. I am also just a short drive to Vichy Hot Springs, Orr Hot Springs and The City of Ten Thousand Buddhas.
  • A clean and comfortable space with everything we needed. Living area was cozy, with an electric fireplace and HD tv. Bed was really comfy and bathroom had super plush towels! Kitchen amenities were great as well, looked brand new. Within walking distance of shops and restaurants, but we didn't need to leave to be perfectly content.

  • We were SO disappointed to have to cancel due to circumstances out of our control. Lisa was very understanding and communicated back very promptly to us. We would love to book again with her. Our loss not to have been able to go.

    Nicola2018-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • this a great property and well worth the rental price. Lisa is a good host and respects your privacy

    John2017-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa`s place is a cottage located behind the main house in a very nice Ukiah neighborhood. Walking distance to restaurants. The rooms were spotless but the furnishings are somewhat spartan. We never saw our host, but she provided timely information on how to find and enter the apartment. The cottage was a quiet and comfortable place to spend a night.

    Matthew2018-05-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great place and great location. Place is very clean, comfortable and Lisa is great! I true sweetheart. Great price and a great value. Very convenient to all of Ukiah and she worked with us for all our needs. Will book again if in the area.

    Ramona2017-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Located in a perfect neighborhood to take leisurely a stroll on a warm summer night; Lisa will make sure the AC is running and the place is cool when you arrive.

  • We booked last minute as we came into Ukiah and Ian was super friendly and his wife was able to greet us and make us feel at home. Short walk to some great places to eat.

    Mia2016-03-23T00:00:00Z
  • Ian's guesthouse in Ukiah was quaint and in a great location walking distance from the main street in town. Ian took the time to meet me and was very friendly. He invited us back when the pool will be open in warmer weather. Thanks for everything!

  • We loved everything about this place and will be returning. The hosts are incredibly nice and made us feel right at home, stocking the fridge with wine, coffee, yogurt, etc. The property is one--of not THE--best in town. It's in a quiet neighborhood that's walking distance to downtown. We're in town every few months for family and think this place will become our home away from home.

    Erik2015-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Ian and Kim's place was great. It was clean, private, had everything we needed, and was less than half a mile away from the downtown area. The neighborhood was beautiful as well. Thanks Ian and Kim for being such kind and welcoming hosts.

    Joshua2017-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • Ian's place was the perfect spot for our trip to Ukiah. The guest house was really comfortable, and the hosts were so kind to leave us a bottle of wine in the mini fridge. The bathroom is gorgeous, and the neighborhood is very peaceful and quiet. Only a few blocks away from Safeway. Overall, it was an incredible stay and we will definitely be back here again for future trips to Ukiah. For less than what the local hotels, and motels charge per night, we really found a gem. We cannot recommend a better place in Ukiah!

    Huong2016-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely overnight stay at Ian's and it was exactly as described and we felt very welcomed and comfortable. The huge bathroom is great!

    Lauren2016-05-11T00:00:00Z
  • Ian & Kim’s cabana was the perfect accommodation for our needs. My sister and I used Ukiah as a base to visit local friends and travel around the area. I truly appreciated their thoughtfulness and callouts as it related to my 20 month old nephew who was also staying with us. The cabana itself was comfortable and treats like light breakfast and a welcome bottle of wine were a very nice gesture. Most of all, I loved how walkable and close it was to everything. Recommended!

    Privacy and spacious.
El Dorado Estate is an upscale quiet estate. Residents are friendly and helpful.
  • A gorgeous, inviting home on the northwest side of town surrounded by vineyards. O provides so many thoughtful touches! Outstanding value.

  • When you are in the Ukiah area this is where you will want to stay. Orell is a wonderful host, there are lots of extras, the price was very reasonable, and the house is big and beautiful and very roomy. We will be back!

    Stephen2018-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Orell was a wonderful host. He made sure that we had everything we needed. His home was cozy, comfortable, and clean.

    Julia2016-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Affordable, warm, friendly, luxurious. Fabulous location. The kitchen and sitting room are a wonderful bonus.

    Callia2017-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Orell is so accommodating and the moment I walked in I felt comfortable. Coming and going is easy and you don't feel in the way with the guest rooms being almost like a separate living space from the main house. I spent one evening eating my dinner outside in the yard and it was so peaceful and relaxing. The bed was AMAZING and I slept like a baby after my long work day, I'm considering switching to a memory foam mattress for my own bed it was that good! I'm looking forward to saying here again.

    Shannon2017-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome stay!

    Shannon2017-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed here on my last trip to Ukiah, and knew I'd return for the excellent value. Despite being a bedroom in a single family home, the setup is very private. A nice, clean, quiet place to get a good night's rest.

    Thomas2016-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Orell was a great host! The room was very nice and clean and the bed was great! The home is centrally located close to major restaurants and freeway access. We would definitely go back again.

My home is warm and inviting and I make every effort to make your stay here comfortable and relaxing. The neighborhood is quiet and safe and provides easy access to walk/hike for exercise and to downtown for a good choice of restaurants.
I live in the west-side neighborhood in the small city of Ukiah. This older section of town provides many safe places to stroll and admire the variety of architectural styles, from the stately Victorians to the charming Craftsman bungalows. My house is situated at the end of a long quiet street, buffered by an oak-forested hill. With minimal traffic and a sweet area, guests most always have a very restful slumber. This three bedroom house has one and a half baths. I remodeled the house 13 years ago and this major project affected the entire ambiance of my space. A floor to ceiling wall of windows in my living room provides wonderful natural lighting and a view of my garden and patio in the backyard, blending the indoors and outdoors. Although my space is 1700 sf, the windows create a spacious feeling, allowing me to entertain and to host meetings for larger groups. The kitchen is modern and well-equipped and I love to cook. I enjoy providing breakfast and typically ask for your preferences, if any, ahead of time. Guests are also welcome to cook here and may sit at the kitchen or dining room table or enjoy the patio space in the private backyard. There is a BBQ for guests to use and a few raised beds for seasonal produce and a few fruit trees. My home and landscaping are well-maintained and tastefully designed. I have a reputation for keeping a very clean and neat house and am am grateful when my guests are respectful of my space (which they are). Guests will have plenty to do in Ukiah, but if they prefer, can have a quiet time at home. I have a well-stocked library and an ample selection of DVDs to watch on a large flat-screen TV in the guest room. If you want to do yoga, I have an extra mat or two to use. I also have a "re-bounder" (a mini trampoline) you can use if you want some instant cardio exercise. I have a number of DVDs to watch on a large flat-screen TV in your room and the TV has a ton of stations to watch. I also have a comfy recliner to kick back in. The bed is a queen and is for 1-2 people and as the many reviews indicate-it's comfortable! On occasion a guest has brought a sleeping mat for a friend or child to sleep on next to the bed or in my office. On an even rarer occasion, I have hosted children, but they must be carefully supervised, as this home is not really child-proofed.
The neighborhood is very quiet, safe and pleasant. Downtown is just a 10-15 minute walk away, the heart of small local businesses, boutiques, and restaurants. There are art galleries, an outstanding museum and a community theater. The Saturday morning Farmers' Market has been a popular gathering place since 1978. Choose from about ten restaurants within walking distance, many of which can accommodate vegetarians/vegans. A short drive will lead you to other choices. I have menus and a listing of restaurant hours to help select where you want to go. Hiking and strolling areas are right outside my door. We also have some good hiking trails and a number of bike lanes throughout the city and beyond. If you want to start or end your day with a brief cardio walk, there is a steep hill just around the corner and it takes about 10-15 minutes to go up and down it and then up and down back.
  • I could not have been more pleased with my experience. Katherine's home is exceptionally lovely, and her description is apt in stating it is tastefully decorated. The room is more than comfortable, the location is terrific, and Katherine was an outstanding hostess. Delicious breakfasts, so responsive to requests, questions and just being a great conversationalist. It was so wonderful to have this space to use as a home base for four days while exploring the area. My experience delivered all that and then some..

    Brenda2014-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • WOW! I loved, loved, loved staying at Katherine's place in Ukiah! Qualities i experienced in this host were kindness, helpfulness, fun, interesting to talk to, collaborative, knowledge of local area . . .and a deep sense of generosity. This host is prompt on communication which as a guest is wonderful to keep a steady flow! Home is peaceful and clean and not far at all from everything you would need in this charming Mendocino town.

    Laur2013-05-18T00:00:00Z
  • Katherine is a kind and thoughtful host. Her home surpassed my expectations with its charm and beauty. I had traveled near 500 miles to reach Ukiah and Katherine provided a wonderful place to call home for the night. Katherine was also very helpful in helping me to find things that I needed in Ukiah. If you are planning on staying in the wonderful Westside neighborhood of Ukiah, Katherine's home is a great place to stay.

    Dusty2015-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • We love staying at Katherine’s place. This was our second time and we would gladly stay there again. The neighborhood is quiet and lovely. The house is beautiful and the bed is very comfortable. We enjoyed walking downtown for dinner. Katherine is great host and we were delighted when she took us to the Farmers' Market after making us a delicious breakfast. A great place to stay when traveling up Highway 101.

  • Katherine is a lovely caring host. She warmly welcomed me and made sure I was comfortable and had everything that I needed. Her house is in a beautifully quiet area with tree-lined streets. She also has a wealth of local knowledge and I so enjoyed tasting fresh blueberries in her garden the next morning. Her bed was very comfortable and supportive and the house was tastefully decorated and very clean. I've been travelling for quite a while and I really enjoyed the personal touch that Katherine provides so would highly recommend staying at her BnB.

    Sarah2014-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • I knew the neighborhood in Ukiah from my youth. It was as comfortable and quiet a stay as I had hoped it would be! Katherine went out of her way to help coordinate an easy arrival and check in time so we would be comfortable in her beautiful home. We really appreciated that courtesy. Would highly recommend her to all seeking to stay in Ukiah!

  • It was my second stay with Katherine and it felt like returning to visit a good friend. Katherine is a compassionate, friendly and easy going host. She strikes a perfect balance of being a great conversationalist and being respectful of your privacy. Her home is pervaded by sense of calm and comfort, which was exactly what I was looking for. I'll be returning again.

My home is very close to downtown Ukiah, approximately 2 miles. The rooms are cozy, very clean and I only get awesome compliments from my guests when I ask how they've slept. There are several seating areas outside to enjoy the view and a glass of wine during my 5-7 Happy Hour. You have a bathroom with tub as well as a shower and the livingroom and kitchen are at your disposal. Ukiah is surrounded by wineries and views for you to enjoy and I'm there to help you find your way around. Come, Enjoy!

  • We had such a great time at Tori’s place. She is so personable, the perfect Airbnb host!! She had snacks available, but we had planned to go right to dinner. She gave us Many local restaurant suggestions. We had a comfortable bed and a nice size bathroom. The following morning we had homemade apple turnovers and muffins outside on her beautiful deck. We felt right at home and I would not hesitate to stay again or recommend her place to friends and family!!

    Irene2018-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • From the minute my son and I walked in we were welcomed with open arms! Tori was so hospitable and so sweet. And she went above and beyond in every way she could. It really felt like we were her guests, and not just visitors passing through. And her house was very clean and comfortable. Not to mention, she made the best mini apple pies I’ve ever had! I would highly recommend her Airbnb.

My home is warm, friendly and always welcoming. There are outdoor seating areas where you can sit quietly or engage in conversation with myself or another guest. There's Happy Hour in the evenings and coffee with a fresh baked treat in the mornings. The kitchen is available for your use and a cozy communal living area is yours to enjoy. My home is a couple of miles from downtown and is surrounded by fine wineries that provide wine tasting in beautiful venues, many of them in the redwoods.

  • Of the many airbnb experiences I have had over the last couple years, Tori as a host is definitely on the top of that list! Her place is lovely and cozy (plus comfortably warm since it was a cold and rainy weekend). She was extremely genuine and so friendly, offering happy hour and wanting to actually get to know us. We had no complaints about the two rooms. She made a bit of breakfast and had coffee each morning. Her cat is also the absolute cutest! Highly recommend staying at Tori’s place if you are in Ukiah.

    Michelle2018-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Above and beyond our expectations. Tori was very kind and accommodating even though we did a last minute booking and showed up late. She is so sweet and even made homemade apple pies in the morning. Delicious! Good coffee and conversation too. Highly recommend staying here!! Also, Her cat Buddy was a joy to pet. We all really enjoyed our short stay with Tori.

  • Prior to our arrival at Paula's house at Ukiah, she already made us feel welcome by calling us and giving us great advice on places to visit on the trip up. It made us feel that we were in for an amazing weekend with lots of new adventures. Upon arriving, we were greeted warmly and given enough suggestions and information to fill our next few days. The room felt warm and homey and the bath tub looked inviting. Every morning for breakfast, she would have warm pastries outside the door and she was truly thoughtful for preparing those every single day. All in all -- we recommend Paula and her lovely home in Ukiah. We would definitely make our way back and explore the surrounding areas more the next time. Thanks Paula!

  • This is such a great spot. Paula, Michael, and Sweetie Pie were so warm and hospitable. The room was clean and tidy. The bathtub is huge and amazing. Paula's breakfasts were generous and delicious. The location is only a few blocks from state street - a very flat and walkable 1/2 mile. Paula printed a list of places to go as well as restaurant recommendations. They were such welcome guests who really made our trip great. Definitely recommend this place :)

    Jakob2018-05-17T00:00:00Z
  • Paula was the sweetest...and so was her dog, Sweetie Pie! She did nothing but make us feel welcome and gave us tips of things to do in town- which was a short 10 min walk from her gorgeous home. We loved her big bath tub and playing scrabble (she provided) on the big comfy bed with a glass of white wine (she graciously offered). And in the morning we were able to make coffee with the in-room Keurig and ate pastries Paula gave us in a beautiful ceramic jar the night before. Totally worth the price! Will be back!

    Sabrina2016-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Paula, Michael and Sweetie Pie's Place. Paula and Michael couldn't have been more friendly and generous. Their place was comfy, homey, and artistic. The home was in a beautiful older residential area. At night, the room was very quiet and very dark (which we like), and the bed was comfy. Absolutely no complaints!

  • I really enjoyed my stay at Diem’s apartment. The apartment is a detached unit located behind a house so you don’t see it initially. It’s clean, the fire pit is nice touch (bring your own wood), comfortable bed, she provided water bottles, tea, shampoo, conditioner, and roku to watch movies. Diem provided a binder with recommendations of restaurants and places to visit as well as instructions on how to use the roku and access the WiFi. Everything was as described. really enjoyed my stay. Less than a 5 minute drive from the freeway. Local grocery store are close by.

  • We came back to spend the weekend at Spencer and Ether's studio after a great first experience in the fall and were not disappointed! The wine and chocolates were delicious, and the pool was recently cleaned so it was very refreshing on a hot day to step outside and take a quick dip.

    Peter2016-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • The overall experience was great! We arrived a little later than expected but Spencer was nice and amicable and gave us a short tour of the place - truly, this place is a gem and has loads of history and memories in it. Wish I had more time to spend there. Would definitely recommend it!

  • Spencer and Esther are a very nice couple with an awesomely quiet space off the beaten path. If you're a music or movie lover you'll be quickly taken in by the quirky and retro decor. • Spencer and Esther were delightful hosts and we had a great stay! Comfy bed, great soundproof room (I slept so well). We didn't get to take advantage of many of the cool amenities of their house (horse riding lessons, etc.) because we were only in town briefly for a wedding, but S&E have a beautiful home and we wouldn't hesitate to stay with them again when we are in Ukiah.

    Diann2015-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • This place is awesome! It's secluded but yet 10 minutes away from very good restaurants and outdoor adventurers. Their art, history and country living is one of a kind. We were even able to take our first horseback riding lesson.

    Sara2017-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • This place is VERY COOL! You may very well experience the best sleep of your life here. Spencer gives great suggestions on local hikes and food. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

  • We had an amazing time at Spencer and Esther's! We slept like babies, played the pianos and guitars! We got to spend a bit of time with Spencer and saw some of his amazing art and inventions... The horse back riding took it over the top for our 8 year old daughter. 5 stars!!

Nestled at the top of the Southwestern mountain's overlooking the beautiful vineyards of Ukiah in Mendocino County is were you'll find Vista View Ranch. When my Great Grandparent's first came to this country side in 1902, with it's deep lush canyons so green and fresh they became enchanted with it's lovely views and babbling waterfalls. The family worked hard and planted many fruit bearing trees and lovely vegetable and flower gardens with ponds and sitting areas. My Great Grandmother brought her mother and family here from England. She became well known in the community for having Sunday gatherings on the porch. A huge Church bell still hangs there today. The family dairy flourished many bought there milk from "Romer Vista Dairy". Grateful to be caring on the family traditions five generations later Ginger Cortez designed and with much love built "Vista View Ranch" in 1995 with her family. On the top of the family's six hundred acre ranch. At one point when the children were young we had up to 200 animals at Vista View Ranch. When you come up I want to nurcher you a bit, doesn't everyone like to be cared for. We all need time to recharge, reconnect with a loved one family or friends. What is in my heart is to make people feel special, gathering of family and friends at the table,(breakfast table, picnic table,. I use Airbnb because I want to show you my beautiful county from a locals perspective. I am a very adventurous type. I like a little fun, some great food with local flavor, great wines and I want to show you the hot spots the locals love to go to. It's close by and convenient yet still off at a distance. Redwood groves with a wonderful Winery are literally right next door to my ranch. Many other Winery's some with flavored sparkling wines and others with award winning Brandy's are for your choosing. In Mendocino County most winery's still have no tasting fee's as long as you buy a bottle of wine when you visit. If you tell me your interests in advance I'll give you suggestions of the best places in the area. The bedroom you will be staying in has a beautiful view overlooking the Ukiah Valley. The bathroom with shower/tub is right next to the bedroom. A hundred foot wrap around deck is a wonderful place to eat and B.B.Q. The lower deck has a hot tub that sits near the edge of a cliff for breathtaking star lit sky's and city light view's
My neiborhood is at the bottom of the ranch. The ranch has 5 houses and they are all family to me. The ranch has 600 acres and it has a deer hunting club that come twice a rear for pig hunts in the winter and 6 weeks of hunting deer in Augest and September. The hiking or running is guided only because of respect to the wild life and your safty. At the bottom of the Hill it is about one and a half miles to the 101 Freeway and it is all Horse ranches and Vineyard Ranches. It is very important to drive the speed limit of 10 miles an hour on our dirt road. Their are children who ride bikes and people who walk daily on the road at the bottom of the hill it is a 25 mile an hour speed limit.
  • My girlfriend and I were in town for a wedding and had a wonderful one-night stay at Ginger's Vista View Ranch. We got in shortly after 3 pm, and Ginger welcomed us with some ice tea and showed us the amazing views. The next morning, Ginger made us a delicious breakfast, and we enjoyed talking to her and taking in the view as we ate. Her flower and vegetable gardens are also really amazing. We had a fantastic time and highly recommend Ginger's Vista View Ranch.

    Drew2014-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • Ginger was fantastic, she clearly has a lot of experience hosting people from all over. Her house is pretty amazing, and overlooks a beautiful valley - the hot tub is a must when staying here. Ginger is very open and outgoing, the most interactive host I've ever had. We learned a lot about her past and her life in general - if you like a good story, Ginger has many!

    Marika2016-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Vista View Ranch for a long term stay (3 months). Ginger was a great host, very welcoming and accommodating. She made sure that I felt at home from the start. She keeps the house clean and photos/ description of her property are accurate. The common areas were comfortable to share with the host and other guests. The property definitely delivers beautiful views overlooking the valley and a quiet, peaceful place to stay— it gave me a nice taste of country living. Ginger and her pups are super friendly and she is happy and eager to provide guests with recommendations for the area but also gave space as needed which is appreciated with a long term stay. She was prompt to address any concerns and easy to communicate with. The wood burning stove and beautiful views were 2 of my favorite perks as well as the pleasant (dog & human) company during my stay. There is also the option of hikes on the property which is a great bonus.

    Victoria2016-06-12T00:00:00Z
  • Ginger is an extremely gracious host! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay with her on her beautiful ranch. The views are amazing, the hot tub is wonderfully relaxing, even on frigid nights, and the nature found hiking through the property is lovely. Ginger herself is very welcoming and laid back, offers great conversation and guidance for the area, and great food! I had a very early flight out and an even earlier departure to make the drive to Sacramento, and she even set out freshly made lemon cake, tea, and gathered my few snacks from the kitchen for me to take with me when I left. Highly recommend staying with her!

    Angela2013-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Ginger is a fantastic host- So kind and welcoming! Her home is very peaceful, with a lovely view of the surrounding countryside as well as goats, dogs, and chickens. A true escape for those wanting some relaxation!

    Melissa2017-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • Ginger is awesome! You won't meet a kinder and more hospitable soul. Her place is remote and therefore perfect for a real getaway.

    Padma2015-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • The place is so fantastic unique with a stunning view over valleys, mountains, winelands, woods. You could go on. Ginger is a very living person with wide interests and she really is inspiring and enthusiastic about your visit, choices for experiences and even a tour guided hike in nature around the ranch. Ginger is a reall (Website hidden by Airbnb) that works intensively for your wellbeing. This place has a story that goes way back in time and Ginger makes you feel that you – even as a short termed guest – fit in as an admirer and human being in this great scenery.

    Finn2016-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Ginger was a peerless host: very welcoming, thoughtful, and generous. She and Leonard greeted us with champagne and crackers/spreads/chocolate-covered strawberries on their amazing porch (more on that in a sec) just before sunset, and they again treated us in the morning to a wonderful breakfast al fresco. The wraparound porch with hot tub affords the most spectacular panoramic view I've yet seen in my airbnb-mediated travels. The (peacock) bedroom, while on the small side, was nicely decorated and very clean, and the bathroom, while shared with another couple, was more than adequate and conveniently situated. All in all a great experience.

  • Wow, I can't say enough great things about this place. It is much, much better than advertised and the pictures that Kyle took don't do it justice. The views of Lake Mendocino are absolutely breathtaking. At night, you can see every single star in the sky. Even in the thick of winter, the house was very well insulated. The place is very modern and clean. Kyle and Susan were amazing hosts and gave us great recommendations for what to do in the area. I can't recommend this place enough to anybody looking for a nice getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. This place is magical.

Beautiful mountain views in a quiet, rural neighborhood. Easy access to 101, yet nestled in nature. Fun, soulful, creative household with 3 small dogs.
Country living in the hills of Mendocino County. Easy access to the 101. Closest to the tiny town of Hopland know for the Solar Center as well as several Organic Vineyards. All the homes here are on an acre or more. Some neighbors have chickens and or goats. Beautiful mountain and valley views in all directions. Most of the time it is very quiet and serene. Because there are no streetlights the stargazing here is unbelievable. Guests often see satellites and the space station crossing the night sky. The Milky Way can often be seen right above as a heavenly highway.
  • We made last minute plans for a weekend getaway and so glad we found Nikola's home. Nikola responded very promptly and was very helpful providing us suggestions. It was a celebration weekend for us (me and husband) and Nikola was genuinely sweet to upgrade us to the private master suite. The private master suite is very spacious with a wood burning fireplace and a huge + clean bathroom. We felt welcomed and comfortable in her home. The location was perfect - beautiful and quiet. Also, it is located very close to attractions near Ukiah (driving). Would absolutely recommend this place - Nikola was a warm and welcoming host, and her home was beautiful, clean, and comfortable! Also, she was generous and offered us coffee the next morning. Thanks Nikola!

Wild turkey, deer, and an occasional fox meander in, but you won’t hear cars, traffic or disturbing noise in this hillside neighborhood.
I am located 5 mins to downtown Ukiah, but it feels like worlds away. No noise or traffic up here!
My neighborhood is called El Dorado Estates. It consists of large older homes on acre or more lots (mine is 2 acres) The neighbor is very quiet and picturesque!
  • What a wonderful stay! The location is wonderful - out of town in a quiet neighborhood. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. There were many more amenities than we expected. Dorsey was a wonderful host and made sure all our needs were met. We would stay here again without hesitation.

    Linden2018-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Comfortable, soothing, and beautiful! Dorsey’s place was exceptional in important ways. The bedroom is very private from the rest of the house, yet the environment feels very personal. A lovely screened porch adds a sense of spaciousness, and a great place to relax, read, and unwind after a long drive. Dorsey showed her professional-level hospitality in providing fresh flowers, healthy snacks, homemade treats, and beverages that made me feel extremely welcome. Her home is in a clean and safe neighborhood less than 10 minutes from central Ukiah, and provided a perfect layover spot on my trip north.

  • My daughter and her partner were spending her birthday at Orr Hot Springs but were unable to get a room for the night. I read about Dorsey's place on Airbnb and knew it would be perfect, and it was! Dorsey worked seamlessly around my daughter's schedule (late arrival due to time at Orr), provided a complementary bottle of wine in her room for her birthday and made fresh banana nut bread and honey butter to greet the day. My daughter said Dorsey was friendly, warm and gracious, that the room was delightful and that the entire experience made her birthday feel very special. I plan to visit Dorsey myself one day soon! Can't recommend highly enough.

    Susan2018-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • This cozy home may be the best place I've been in. Getting to Dorsey's place, you drive up a very nice scenic road from downtown Ukiah. I don't like driving, but this drive was worth it. Dorsey was able to greet me at the door and once upon entering, you are surrounded by the lovely sent of lavender that already makes you feel at home. Dorsey pretty much has everything there for you. If you're ever in the area, check it out :)

    Grace2018-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Dorsey’s was like home! It was my first AirBnb stay and she definitely set the bar high for future stays! The hospitality was amazing! If you’re seeking to stay in the Ukiah area Dorsey’s place is a must! Will definitely be back again when I’m in the area! (:

    Humberto2018-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Definitely tranquil:) Located in a in beautiful quiet neighborhood, Dorsey's home has a lovely artistic ambience and is comfortable and spacious. I was thankful for the healthy snacks and berverages that were a available on my arrival and they certainly made getting out the door and to the SF airport on time the next morning easy. Dorsey is a gracious bright light of a host!

  • dorsey's place is very comfortable and pleasant. we enjoyed her hospitality and thoughtfulness, which made us feel pampered and at ease. we’d definitely come back and recommend to others.

  • Dorsey was an amazing host. Her home was perfectly set up for privacy and comfort. I would highly recommend staying with her should if her place is available. The amenities provided were ample... wine, water, snacks and a delicious breakfast spread compromised of freshly baked scones and fruit. Dorsey had great recommendations for places to see around Ukiah, and restaurants to enjoy downtown. She even provided a complimentary car ride to downtown, which was a wonderful touch! Very enjoyable time spent in Ukiah thanks to Dorsey. We look forward to returning soon!

Price includes all taxes, cleaning fees and free snacks and drinks. Clean, airy room with private bath and separate entrance, queen bed, microwave, coffeemaker, refrigerator, cable TV and wireless internet. Quiet, peaceful setting in the vineyards.
Beautiful private setting, very quiet. Located on a small horse ranch. Riding lessons are available for an extra charge for those who might be interested in learning natural horsemanship.
Close to the Russian River, vineyard setting. Redwood Valley reminds me of Napa in the 1960s before it got crowded. Beautiful hiking trail to the Russian River, a one mile stroll through the vineyards and forest.
  • Monica was very welcoming and accommodating. She answered our questions about directions and gave super helpful advice for traveling in the area. The room and bathroom were quiet, clean, and comfortable. She had snacks and drinks ready and fast Wi-Fi!

  • Monica was a great host. She was very flexible with our schedule which was helpful to let us go with the flow for our weekend trip. She greeted us when we got there and gave us the keys to the room. The room had some nice touches with snacks, tea, instant oatmeal, soda in the frig, etc. It was roomy for the two of us and the area was very quiet for our liking. The next morning, my partner went for a lovely run and she happened to see Monica who offered her some fruit for breakfast. That was a lovely touch. Thanks Monica for your hospitality.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Monica's place! The room was clean, quiet setting tucked away, great snacks were waiting for us, and she was incredibly kind and gracious. She took the time to share her love of horses with our whole family and it was a real treat. We will definitely return. Thank you!

  • Monica was a great host. Her property, room included was beautiful. The pictures don't do it justice. You have to experience it first hand. Great place for a quite weekend, romantic get away, or just a place to lay your head along your journey to a further destination.

    Collin2015-04-25T00:00:00Z
  • The room is clean and charming in a peaceful and quiet setting. I enjoyed Monica and her three beautiful horses very much. Will definitely stay again.

  • It was a lovely stay! Everything was ready for our arrival, even though Monica wasn't there at the time. The room and the en suite bathroom were very clean and spacious. The area is nice and very close to Highway 101 as well. We would definitely come back!

Come enjoy the pool and and the spectacular scenery of Mendocino County! Watch the stars from the hot tub (available November 1- May 30). Relax out on the decks and in our very private midcentury home with expansive views of the coast mountains and Ukiah Valley from any window. Explore the 10 acres of zinfandel and cabernet vines. Short hiking path on site. Only 2 hours from SF! *No extra guests allowed- 13 person max.* *Please let me know if you are interested in bringing a dog.*
-There are lots of vineyards and wineries in the area. I am happy to give recommendations! -We are less than 10 minutes to town if you want to pick up supplies or go out to dinner. -There are wonderful redwoods only 30 minutes away at Montgomery Redwoods. Highly recommended. The hiking path to the grove does have an incline, I think ok for kids but not for elderly. -We are also about 1.5 hours from the coast. The town of Mendocino is fantastic and would be great for a day trip if you start early. Lots of state parks, cute shops, and restaurants. -Vichy Hot Springs is 10 minutes from the house if you want to go for a few hours and soak in the warm therapeutic water (I would only recommend this in the warmer months actually, the water is not exceptionally warm!).
  • This property is beautiful and well equipped. Everything was provided and allowed us to have a great stay. Instructions were clear for everything and made our stay really easy to navigate. Will definitely stay here again!

  • GREAT PLACE!!!! Sandra's place was such a beautiful getaway for our group. The view overlooking the vineyards is to die for. I love the West Elm furnishing and we all had a great time and am hoping to come back and make this place a regular place for us to get together. Would HIGHLY recommend to anyone.

    Jessie2018-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • The house was clean and nice. The views were spectacular and the pool was lovely. Sandra was very friendly and helpful and left a nice welcome basket. All in all this is the perfect place for a poolside getaway.

    Merrill2018-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • Best Airbnb I’ve stayed at. Thoughtfully appointed, beautiful home, cant recommended highly enough. We were three families with 5 young kids between us and the house felt very spacious and user friendly.

    Benoit2018-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Sandra was a fabulous host! She left us a sweet note and everything in the house was perfectly labeled so we knew where everything was. We had 13 people for a wellness weekend and we all had a blast. We cooked, lounged by the pool, and explored the vineyard. It was the perfect weekend getaway! The place is even better than in the photos (hard to imagine). I highly recommend staying here!

    Julia2018-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • My family and another family of friends stayed here for a long weekend (total of four adults and five children) and had a wonderful time. The home was kept in excellent condition, the private pool was perfect, and the views were gorgeous. Additionally, the location is hard to beat, with it being just enough off the beaten path to feel very private but still within 30 minutes of grocery stores (including CostCo), a small downtown, breweries, wineries, and a lot more. Truly it's easy to make this place your little paradise. Sandra was a great host, keeping the home in great condition with more than enough bath and pool towels, dishes, and various other amenities. We would definitely stay here again!

    Sebastien2018-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • It was great location and amazing views!! It's a pretty nice house and owner took good care of this house. It's close to city of 10000 Buddhas and Mendocino. Sandra was proactive communicating with us from the beginning and was always reachable when we needed something or had any questions. I would recommend this house for anyone visiting this area with a large group!!

Welcome to the original pioneer home in Ukiah. Built in 1876 as the center of a sprawling ranch. Pleasant gardens bordered by a year round stream and great views. You’ll love my place because of the outdoor space, the light, the comfy bed, and the ambiance. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. We are 10 minutes from downtown Ukiah, 15 min to Hopland, 30 min from the vineyards of Anderson Valley, and a beautiful hour drive to the ocean village of Mendocino.
There are two available bedrooms each rented separately with a private bath. If you are booking both rooms then you have a private living room that connects them.
We have lovely gardens bordered by a year round creek. The property is a short way out of town but it feels like being in the country. The distance from city lights makes it perfect for star gazing.

Perfect for seamless indoor/outdoor living on the (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) sq ft south-southeast facing redwood deck with a pool, new hot tub, new gas grill and even an outdoor shower! A new 6 person hot tub is on the deck overlooking the scenic Bell Valley is perfect in any weather. The spa is cleaned and treated every week. The kitchen is newly remodeled farmhouse style with new appliances and deep sink, and an island with a stovetop, designed for eating and socializing during cooking. There is a 400-foot long dirt and rock driveway up to the house, steep in parts, that can be intimidating for drivers not used to driving on rural dirt roads. It is smoothed and re-rocked every year and is accessible to front-wheel drive vehicles, however for vehicles without 4 wheel drive, you may likely experience some tire spin driving up, plus cars will collect dust from the road, especially in the late summer and early fall before the first rains of the fall. If this is something that you are not comfortable with we advise that you do not book the house. Our cleaners drive front-wheel drive sedans up the driveway on a regular basis all year without difficulty, so it is accessible for non 4 wheel drive vehicles but drivers with minimal experience on rural roads may be reluctant so be please be advised that you may experience tire spin while going up the driveway. We provide additional guidance on driving up (drive up with momentum, in low automatic gear) and are happy to answer any questions to prospective guests but please be advised that, again, the driveway to the house is a steep, dirt and rock road when deciding to book. You are always welcome to park some or all vehicles along the bottom section of our private driveway above lower gate for walking or shuttling a second car if you feel more comfortable only driving a four wheel drive vehicle up the driveway. Pool is a weekly cleaned and treated unheated pool exposed to direct sunlight almost the whole day with a solar cover. The pool can be warm enough to swim into October and early as April depending on how hot or cold its been and whether it has rained. The pool is winterized from November-March, but can be prepared upon request, although be advised the water temperature is typically quite cool. Lovely Mediterranean plants dot the hillside next to the deck including blooming olive trees and lavender. Deck edge facing downhill is secured with child safe fencing with other sides open to flat or gently-sloped ground or short set of stairs. There are steep hills once off the deck so small children will require supervision. There is a new barbecue grill at the house perfect for outdoor grilling and eating. Master bedroom has a king size brand new memory foam mattress, wall mounted flat screen with full cable and Netflix. It has windows overlooking the mountains valley and a sliding glass door directly onto the deck next to the pool. The master bathroom has a shower and raised bathtub, with two separate sinks. The second bedroom has a brand new queen size memory foam mattress and direct access to the second bathroom with a window that looks onto the garden. There is a new queen-size, raised-height Aerobed, a comfortable sleeper sofa in the family room for additional guests. The house has a new washer and drier, new dishwasher, and full cell phone coverage and high speed wifi internet access. The house is also stocked with books, games and some toys as well.
The house is very private on 21 acres, with similar large acreage properties of friendly full time resident neighbors. Please be respectful to our close community of neighbors by not hosting any parties and by maintaining reasonable volume levels as sound does travel up and down the mountainside and valley. Within 5-10 minutes of the house, you can find excellent visitor friendly Mendocino County winery estates including food and live music in the Ukiah Valley. The town of Ukiah has great restaurants and weekly outdoor events in summer. The City of Ten Thousand Buddhas is a Buddhist temple and monastery nearby that is worth visiting. The house is also right off of Boonville Road which is a lovely roughly 15 mile drive to the adjacent Anderson Valley wine district. The quaint towns of Boonville, Philo and Navarro in the heart of the Anderson Valley AVAs have world class wineries specializing in pinot noir, chardonnay, syrah, and sparkling wines, as well as excellent restaurants. The pioneering craft beer Anderson Valley Brewery has a tap room and offers daily tours. There are several wine and other festivals throughout the year in the Anderson Valley and Ukiah Valley.

We welcome all to our favorite place to escape! Our country house is 15 minutes up a dirt road, away from all the business and multi-tasking of normal life. Amazing views, trees, a pond (from April-June) and comfortable, cozy decor make this home a haven. There are two bedrooms, one with a queen, one with a bunk, 1.5 baths, and a full/queen futon in living room that is very comfortable. The lighting, the beautiful artwork, the fully equipped kitchen (waffle iron!), are delightful!
The master bedroom was remodeled with beautiful hand hewn rafter beams, and organic earth based clay paints. The artwork is by professional artist Lorri Kurzfeld and is batik paint on silk, and for sale! The windows are large and look out on heavenly spaces. The kitchen is stocked full, so you can actually cook a meal without having to make do.
The neighborhood is all mountains and trees. There is a barn and cabin on the 8 acre property that are your only neighbors. The pond is heaven to swim in. Occasionally there is a herd of magical wild ponies that visits the property or surrounding hills.
  • What a charming place off the beaten path! (And truthfully, it is down a long gravel road out of Ukiah.) No WiFi means you put down the phone and reconnect...with nature, with friends, with a good book. (And really the stars are not to be missed.) Definitely the place can be a little warm inside in the summer, but a big fan and a small AC unit saw us through. A rustic antidote to the daily hubbub.

    Kaan2018-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Very quiet place. Very clean. Excellent place to put away the phone and get away from all the stress.

    Mikey2018-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • What a fantastic place to getaway!! Truly felt like a loved home and was enough off the beaten path to allow for some fresh air and fresh thinking! Loved having the kitchen equipped with cooking utensils and the added friendly neighborhood dog was the icing to the cake. Will definitely remember this place, truly a joy!

    Zia2018-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • This little house was rustic but lovely. We had everything we needed. It was remote enough to feel like we were truly away, but also easy driving distance to town and to some incredible hot springs and forests. Nimka was friendly and available, and Shira, the sweet dog in the photos, greeted us and occasionally kept us company.

    Io2018-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, remote setting. We were greeted by a very friendly dog after a long drive up dirt/gravel roads. Get there before dark! It took some time to get the heater going. We built a fire in the wood stove and had a lovely evening.

    Darlene2018-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Pretty interesting and quite place for travel

    Rui2018-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • A gem of a place! Enjoyed the remote location. Though it was hot the day we arrived, Nimka supplied an AC unit and fan to help cool down the house. Made friends with Shira (the dog) and loved my outdoor bath under the stars. Only stuck our feet into the pond, but it looks like a great swimming spot, and I would love to jump in when the water is higher. We trekked to Montgomery Woods to see the Redwood groves then drove over to Mendocino to see the Pacific. Definitely will be back!

My place is good for couples, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets). There are 2 sleeping pads and extra blankets for extra people to sleep on the floor.
With bedrooms at either end of the house you can invite your friends or bring your kids. Dogs are welcome. We have fenced off about an acre for them to run and explore and there are 100 acres for everyone to explore. A fully equipped kitchen is there to use or you can eat at one of the many restaurants in Ukiah or Boonville.
It's a beautiful piece of land where you are virtually alone. So quiet. We love it.
  • My girlfriend and I both left the place thinking this was such an amazing spot to visit. Bring your significant other and just enjoy each other's company and hiking/lounging around in the complete wilderness. The amenities were top-notch to include a very well stocked kitchen, and the scenery was unparalleled. Bring some hiking shoes and go explore the vast property; We found the road outside to be great for long dog walks. I honestly did not want to live and neither will you.

  • Stunningly gorgeous location. Quiet, peaceful, private and cozy. The house is perfectly stocked to cook and have a cozy stay. The outdoor bath tub is spectacular! Julie is super responsive to any issue and you will be well cared for!

  • This is an extra special place tucked away among the oak trees of Long Valley Ranch Road. Peaceful and restful.

  • What a special place! We so enjoyed our stay at the guest house. I only wish we had been able to bring our dogs this time! Thanks for a wonderful experience!!

  • This is a great place to stay---near Ukiah and Boonville, but in a completely private, beautiful setting. Fabulous views from the many windows, comfortable beds, and well-stocked kitchen---and a very cozy woodstove. Would definitely stay again.

    Deb2018-03-27T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderfully secluded and serene location. Most of the land is steep hillside, but there is a trail leading to a lake on the property which is an amazing feature for a backyard! The house is modern and nice with lots of light.

    Alex2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Hidden in the mountains, you need a good vehicle to get up and down to the home everyday. Make sure you get your shopping done before you head home for the day.

  • Tina's place was a great stay! She was an excellent host who provided a cozy space with the Glamping Tent and outdoor kitchen area. I was really inspired by and impressed with her property, as there were so many cool projects she has completed! At first, when we got a bit lost trying to get to her property, she responded quickly with very clear directions that got us there easily. Overall, I was very happy with my stay and would like to stay again if I am ever in the area.

  • Tinas glamping tent was perfect for my needs. It was roomy and spacious. The outdoor kitchen worked really well and had everything I needed for my week there. The location is great! In the country, but close to town. I slept really well here with the cool nights. Would love to stay again if I am ever in the area again.

Room with queen bed and shared bathroom in beautiful home. Full use of kitchen, BBQ, pool, patios and decks. Easy access to 101, yet nestled in nature. Fun, soulful, creative household with 3 small dogs. Located 5 minutes north of the Solar Living Institute in Hopland.
  • It was wonderful to meet Nikola and her dogs. She has a beautiful, comfortable home and made us feel very welcome. We will be back to explore the area when we have more time to spend.

(Hidden by Airbnb) 's architect in-residence, Michelle Kaufmann, designed this beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 bath bright open concept home - the Sunset Glidehome- which PBS calls one of the 10 homes that changed America. The house is surrounded by sliding glass and embodies modern indoor/outdoor living. Quiet & perched on a mountain, this home is only five plus minutes from the 101 amongst beautiful wineries & restaurants. The house, deck & hot tub command views of surrounding mountains and vineyards below.
[FALL (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) UPDATE]: This is a relatively new listing so we don't have too many reviews yet, but please check out the nearby listing for 'Mountaintop open home living- pool, hottub & views', it has great reviews and is very similar with amazing views on a mountaintop a large deck and hottub with great views!!! This house is slightly more expensive since it has an additional bedroom and is newer and slightly closer to City with an easier driveway. https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/13393136 The deck goes all around the house and there is a 6 person hot tub right by the house with phenomenal views of the nearby mountains and valleys with no house in site! The master bath has a beautiful walk-in slate shower. The house is filled with clean lined modern design furniture and a long farmhouse style dining table perfect for spending house chatting over dinner overlooking the valley below. The master bedrooms has a king size mattress made by a very high end boutique manufacturer from San Francisco, while the other two bedrooms have extremely comfortable brand new queen size memory-foam mattresses. Additionally, there is a comfortable design futon and a brand new queen size elevated Aerobed for additional guests.
McNab Ranch is full of large acreage properties of friendly, easygoing neighbors and is super accessible from the 101 highway for any vehicle including front wheel drive cars. We overlook the Sanel Valley full of large vineyard properties in between cute wine and food town Hopland and Ukiah, the Mendocino county seat. Nearby is the Anderson Valley full of world class wineries specializing in Pinot Noir and Sparkling Wines.
  • My husband and I booked Emir's place for our Anniversary weekend and it was absolutely perfect. The location is gorgeous and serene while super close to great restaurants if you want to get out. The home has every creature comfort you would want for a romantic getaway. The views are breathtaking. Emir was an excellent host and thoroughly provided all the info we needed for an easy stay. We will definitely be back!

    Rebekah2018-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place. We loved the star gazing views from the porch. Likely to be amazing during moonless nights in summer.

    Amod2018-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Hands down, our FAVORITE Airbnb (and we do overnight dates twice a month, so we see a lot of places!). Emir’s home is even more beautiful than the photos. We got there at night because of late travel plans and were woken up with the glass windows looking out to beautiful scenery of private mountains up in the clouds. The house is spotless and has a lot of extras—linens, pillows, dining plates/utensils, board games, etc. It was raining during our December stay and we loved feeling cozy inside. Tv has the ability to sign into Netflix, amazon prime, HBO, Hulu. Fireplace is a beautiful touch. The hot tub was large, right outside on the patio, private, and perfect. Kitchen was spacious and we enjoyed preparing our meals in it (grocery store about 12 min away). We could not have asked for anything better. This is a DREAM HOME!! Emir, thank you so much for being a fabulous host. Honestly, we are planning our next visit and can not wait to return!!!

    Ginille2018-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • The place was absolutely amazing. breathtaking views from every room in the house. Private retreat great for couples or anyone looking to escape from the busy world into a landscape of tranquility and happiness. If the location and views doesn't do it for you, the luxury finishes and hot tub sure will! Will stay again!

  • This house was amazing and the perfect place for a relaxing weekend away from the busyness of everyday work and life. Would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a place to recharge. House was as described and Emir was the perfect host.

  • Second time staying at Emirs. Cannot say enough good about his hospitality, gorgeous places, quick responses and above and beyond service. A+

    Dillon2018-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • Where to start? The breathtaking views, the modern home, the welcome bottle of local wine, the heated toilet and bidet...? All of it was perfect. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Emir was a wonderful host that was very helpful, informative and responsive every step of the way. He went the extra mile to accommodate my needs and answer all of my questions, which was very much appreciated. Can’t say enough good things! Think no more, reserve it before I do!
