Take it easy at this secluded, waterfront cabin near beautiful Magnolia Beach. Fish or launch kayaks from your front yard. This rustic property is located down a dirt road that can be very difficult to access when it rains a lot. 4x4 vehicles recommend. During dry times, the road is fine. Wildlife of all kinds are sometimes seen, many species of birds, bobcat, deer, and sometimes snakes. Alligators live in Old Town Lake, much like any body of water in South Texas. Swimming not recommended.

“A Stay on The Bay”

From the front porch swing enjoy the sunrises & the moon over the bay, along with the shrimp, oyster, & crab boats going in and out of the harbor. With 3 bedrooms to accommodate 6 adults comfortably, a futon, & a blowup mattress, this is a great place for a family getaway, fishing trip, business trip, or to just explore what Port Lavaca and the surrounding Bay area has to offer - Beaches, Nature Walk, fishing piers, bait shops, historical markers, a history museum, golf course, dining, and more.

This house has a king size bed, queen sofa sleeper, bunk beds, 2 smart TVs & WIFI, kitchen with appliances & a coffee bar, charcoal BBQ pit. We’re pet friendly with a non refundable $75 deposit.

Relax on the water in this private & peaceful home in between Magnolia beach (less than 3 miles) and Alamo beach. Enjoy the sunrise, watch dolphins, go fishing, boating or bird watching all from the private pier! This house is 1,960 square feet with 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths on a large beautiful yard and a screened-in porch. The Master suite is downstairs on the main floor and there are 2 more bedrooms upstairs. This house will sleep 8 ADULTS comfortably (children welcomed!)

We were looking for a place to celebrate birthdays with our family and our dogs and this place was perfect. we had plenty of things to do like fishing and swimming in the pool and our dogs had plenty of space to run around and have fun. The private dock for fishing is a definite plus for us and the distance from the neighbors was great for the dogs. it was clean and comfortable and very accommodating. The enclosed deck was great for morning coffee ,The kitchen was great for cooking meals and the washer and dryer were definite plus. also, my wife thought it was great for nature watching, rabbits, birds, pelicans, etc.. would definitely stay there again.

Unplugged was everything I hoped for. Peaceful, quiet, great views of/easy access to water. The hosts are so thoughtful having things available to do indoors ie: movies, puzzles and mindful coloring books and the best equipped kitchen that included a sharp chefs knife which I really appreciated! If I return to Matagorda I will definitely be staying here again -but longer! 😊

This place is beautiful and fun! The pool was a hit with the kids and enjoyable for the adults. The outdoor space was fantastic, I know they can’t help the weather but it was perfect during our stay. Everyone had a beautiful sleep space my mom had the bottom floor space, my sister had the room in the main house and my husband and I took the small house, we all slept comfortably while kids took the bunk room up stairs. We really enjoyed the lay out of the home and the kids were able to play freely because of the fence around the pool as well as being able to close off the driveways. Plenty of parking for all of us. Again, this is such a beautiful and unique home, it was so fun to stay here! The beach we went to was the Rockport beach which is well kept and only a 5 minute drive!

This condo was absolutely beautiful and perfect for our family vacation. Our 4-year-old twins had the time of their lives! One of the highlights was being able to see dolphins and fish right from the patio — such a magical experience for the kids (and us too!). Doug and Sandy were so responsive and helpful throughout our stay. They truly thought of everything — they even bedtime storybooks for the twins! The condo was clean, calm, and relaxing, with every detail thoughtfully prepared to make it feel like home. It was the perfect getaway. 10/10 recommend — we can’t wait to come back!
