Vacation rentals with a fireplace in North Carolina

We are so lucky to have found this home for our weekend in the mountains to attend a family wedding! The location was perfect and our stay was cozy and just what was needed. Everything was abundant—from towels and linens to fresh air and white squirrels! This is truly a special home with great hosts.

Really enjoyed out stay! Marcia communicated with us extremely well and was very responsive. Her play is very cozy, and the neighborhood is very peaceful. Definitely recommend!

We were 100% happy with our stay. The location was 45 minutes away from App State (including traffic). We did not venture out other than graduation venues. We enjoyed the screened porch for cards, the fire pit was perfect for toasting a few marshmallows (grand children enjoyed). Prior to arrival, I was initially concerned that our full pans of food might not fit in refrigerator but to my surprise it was a top refrigerator with double wide shelves (freezer at the bottom). During our stay there had been a 9 hour power outage (apparently scheduled transformer maintenance) and we were happy that the loss of power did not affect running water. That was a plus because we had a 9am graduation and still managed a hot shower. There were plenty of games in closet, plenty of towels, garbage bags, toilet paper, soaps, seasonings, pots, pans, utensils- etc…. You name it, it was probably there, with the exception of a portable crib (which we brought our own). Best of all - price!!! Very affordable

Gorgeous historic home with modern touches and comfortable furnishings in a quiet and quaint small town. This was our second stay at Kimberly's and we won't hesitate to book again.

What a lovely place! We enjoyed the comforts of this sweet home. The views from the decks and large windows were quite a treat. Well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and bedding, and a great assortment of games. Convenient location. Would like to return the next time we visit Beech.

To say this spot was a gem is an understatement. I have stayed in places that have cost 3x this much in far more exotic places that didnt come close to the accomadating and kind nature of these 2 hosts. The home was beautifully clean and well kept and the garage was such a bonus for my situation of why i was there. I will make it a point to book with them whenever i am in the area even if im farther away.

Staying at Mill Creek Cottage was much like visiting a beloved friend’s house. We’ve stayed in some Airbnbs that were almost antiseptic and boring. Not Joan’s place! It was wonderful and quirky and comfortable - and had absolutely everything we needed. We spent five days hiking, grilling out, playing games, and just sitting on the deck watching the birds and enjoying the mountain air. If we ever head back to Hayesville I will check to see if this cottage is available!

Cathy was a wonderful host. She always responded very quickly and was flexible when I needed to change a few things! The place was perfect for what we needed, was clean, beautiful and easy to find.

Quick weekend trip with friends to the Hills of NC! Great getaway and Sarah's Place fit our vibe perfectly!!! Loved walking all over town from our location! Will stay here again!

This was the most well thought out and equipped Airbnb that we have ever stayed at! Don thought of everything you could possibly need or want! Water bottles on every table, snacks and an amazing coffee bar, an LED full length mirror in both bedrooms! A well stocked bathroom with everything you could need, just in case you forgot something. Corn hole, board games, glow in the dark gold putting green, jacuzzi and don't get me started on that breathtaking view! Truly, the most well planned Airbnb! This was the perfect location to bring our daughter up for WCU orientation. I'm so glad I already booked for her move in weekend in August! We will always stay here, if it's available, when we come and visit her at school. Such a perfect stay!

Mary Ann's place was fantastic! We stayed one night but would have loved to stay longer. Communication was excellent. We enjoyed the wonderful views from the swing. The apartment was very clean and comfortable with lovely decor. We highly recommend a stay with Mary Ann!

I have lived in a lot of places over the past year while traveling for school, and this was the best of the bunch. Everything was great, including a clean comfortable space, available toiletries, efficient appliances, simple check in and out, amazing 10/10 mountain view.

My husband and I both said this is one of the very best Air BNB experiences we've ever had. Joanna's place was spacious and clean. It has much nicer furniture and decor than most Air BNB's at this price point. Joanna was very helpful, even snapping pics of items I left behind right away. The location is close to restaurants and shopping, though not in the cutest part town. Great value for what we paid. I highly recommend!

Stayed in this lovely basement walkout apartment on a long cross country trip. The rental includes a good sized living area, vanity and make up mirror, bedroom, bath and deck with garden. The parking is in the rear giving easy access to the unit. The unit is newly renovated and tastefully decorated with an especially attractive bathroom. My daughter and I appreciated the robes and spa items as we had been traveling for quite a bit and this was so thoughtful and welcome. Someone mentioned inadequate night lighting in a review but this has been remedied in style. Had the best sleep in our whole cross country trip in a secure neighborhood that is very convenient to downtown and the Biltmore.

Great place, good management, and reasonable prices. Barely interacted with the owners, which was ideal for my group. You are trusted to check in and out without supervision. The location is beautiful, and there are PLENTY of beds.

This was my husband and I’s third time staying here, and it is absolutely our favorite place to visit. The villa is clean, comfortable, and well-designed, and the surrounding vineyard is gorgeous. Wish we could move in!

Adam, our host was incredible. Directions were spot on, and helpful. Loved the stay and the place. Perfect for our weekend at Beech Mountain. Would absolutely recommend and look forward to coming back again soon!

The condo was gorgeous, exceptionally appointed with all amenities we needed. Outstanding communication from the owners. Check in and check out were easy no problem. Exceptionally located to Pinehurst Village and all golf amenities. Perfect space for our dogs. AC unit worked well. Great view of the second hole and pond on Pinehurst Number 5. Beds were comfortable and glad there was a great newer washer dryer in the unit. Good Internet connection. Would definitely book another relaxing stay in the future. Thanks for everything.

I had an amazing stay at Casey’s place! The home was spotless, well-equipped, and exactly as described. The location was perfect—peaceful and scenic, with beautiful views of Lake Lure.
