Farmstay vacation rentals in North Carolina

Hope's place was perfect for our multigenerational gathering to celebrate our daughter's graduation!. Close to UNC, yet just out of the center of things to allow some peace and quiet at the end of each day. There was plenty of space to gather together as well as quiet nooks for taking breaks. We appreciated the fully stocked kitchen. And the beautiful sunsets were a plus!

This by far the best place we have stayed in the last few years. It was beautifully and comfortably decorated. Had everything we needed. Morning came with a symphony of birds and sounds from the cows in the neighboring farm. Nighttime brought a chorus of tree frogs. The beds were comfortable the kitchen stocked and the hot tub was a great way to relax at the end of the day. Close to fishing and hiking. Would definitely stay again if back in the area.

While my stay was short, it was absolutely perfect! From the minute I started down the gravel driveway, I felt at home. It’s clear how much this land is loved, so it wasn’t shocking when I entered my cabin and found a clean, charming, and comfortable space. I enjoyed meeting the sheep, and it was so lovely to meet Sonya, one of the wonderful caretakers of this magical place. I look forward to staying here next time I’m in town!

We loved the place, wish we could of stayed longer. This place a dream, all the old furniture was so beautiful. My two daughters and 4 grandkids had plenty of room to hang out without stepping on one another. Large bathrooms that were clean and updated. The property was beautiful and the kids loved the swig and creek. Hope to visit again with a longer stay.

Small and quaint but perfect size for the three of us staying there. Would perhaps have liked an oven for cooking but the restaurants in Weaverville were soooo good (and, of course nearby Asheville). The Glass Onion—Yum! Loved downtown Weaverville shops too. Beautiful area with deer sightings and very quiet. Very comfortable beds. Really loved the front porch. Thanks for a good stay at a great price. Would stay again!

I enjoyed my stay immensely! The no TV, no internet, technology free weekend was a great get-away for this workaholic! The screened in porch was my favorite place to lounge around. The mile long path around the pond was pleasant as was the fresh fruit available on Tom’s fruit trees. The birds, butterflies, herons, and rabbits added to the experience I was looking for. There is nothing more relaxing than watching nature in action. Rain or shine the cabin, the screened porch, and the walking path provided a serene get-a-way. It rained each day I was there and sitting on the screened porch watching the storm was fascinating (and I stay dried). The outdoor shower on the screened porch was an amazing experience!! Everyone needs to try one. Wow! The interior of the cabin is truly rustic and made of wood which added to the whole “nature” experience I was looking for. Tom was a wonderful host! I spent some time talking with him. He shared fascinating stories about the cabin and farm!

Absolutely beautiful home. Well stocked kitchen, nice beds, amazing porch overlooking the blue ridge mountains. Could not have been better.

After staying here for two months , I will say I will miss this place. The place was clean and cozy and comforting. The animals were lovely to bond with and I miss them too . Great experience and great hosts! Thanks for having me stay here

In town for the NASCAR Allstar race. The cabin was a perfect distance from North Wilkesboro. The cabin was an excellent retreat after a long day at the track. The property is gorgeous, and we were fortunate to get to know Lilly the German Shepard. She greeted us in the mornings and stopped by in the afternoon. We plan to book this place again for next year. Thanks to Sawyer for an awesome stay.

We had such a peaceful time. it was exactly what we needed. I felt such peace staying there. Walking around the farm and visiting the animals just brang me pure joy. We tried fishing a bit and sitting there by the pond was so relaxing and therapeutic. I loved Emma she followed us around everywhere, I teared up leaving her which is weird for me, I'm a cat person. We loved the sofa recliner so much that we ordered the same one from Wayfair for our TV room lol it will be here Wednesday. We will definitely be back. I love this place! Thank you for creating this peaceful, serene place.

Phillip’s place is truly a hidden gem in Pisgah. My boyfriend and I actually extended our stay by another night since we loved it so much! It was the perfect, peaceful getaway we both needed. We had everything we needed to cook, and the place was cozy & clean. I was surprised at how little bugs were present to be a cabin in the woods! Waking up to the sound of the stream was the best part. 10/10 recommend

We loved our stay at the cottage! The view from the bedroom loft is beautiful and the property- so peaceful and quiet. As a morning person, I found the sunrise spectacular. The place was cozy and a great home base for our exploration of the area. I loved the decor as well- a super Airbnb!

Shannon’s place was so peaceful and relaxing. I felt right at home. I met Shannon and some of her family since the guest house is on their farm and they were great to talk to. I really enjoyed seeing the farm animals. I chose this property since I was traveling with my 2 dogs. The setup inside a 3/4 acre fenced yard was perfect! Everything in the guest house was clean, worked well and very comfortable. I highly recommend and will definitely stay again when I’m in that area.

I stayed two nights in May with my sister at Ann Marie's lovely space. This is a charming 2 bedroom apartment on the lower level of Ann Marie's home. It has a great, cozy feel and is equipped with everything you would ever need; big thirsty towels, bathroom necessities like shampoo etc., wonderful bedding, extra throws and pillows, two separate areas to watch TV, all the fixings for a cup of coffee and sweet and savory snack items. The property is picturesque and relaxing. We took a walk on Ann Marie's acreage and were delighted with her plantings, eclectic decorative pieces, the silo and barn paintings, the farm animals and the numerous places for sitting and relaxing. One evening we had a fire on the patio and enjoyed the peacefulness, the stars and the fireflies. It is an oasis of calm, yet is a 10 minute drive to Hillsborough. There we found shops, restaurants, walking trails and historical landmarks. Ann Marie is friendly, helpful, and has great suggestions. I'm sure to return!

Great location to Tryon Equestrian center! Easy to get to, very quiet and clean! Host was super helpful. Well appointed kitchen and bathroom (thank you the makeup mirror!) Thank you!

We felt right at home and welcome for our whole stay! This was our third trip to the farm and it really felt just like going home. We had two families with a combined 3 boys and had plenty of space to spread out within the house. We went into New Burn for site seeing and dinner and found multiple parks near by for hiking/running. The house was beautiful and comfortable- we loved seeing the lambs, chickens, cats and cows right outside the windows and the screened in porch was perfect for catching up. We had a tour of the farm and got to see baby chicks and brand new baby lambs! Getting to name three lambs were our boys’s favorite part! Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

Stayed here with a few coworkers while overnighting for a project site out this way. The space was wonderful, clean, and exactly what was described. We got there late and left early in the morning, but still loved seeing the horses right of the porch and how surprisingly spacious the space was! We will definitely be back and hopefully get to meet some of the dogs next time.

I can’t find enough words to describe how much I loved this place! First thing, Logan and Rob are great hosts! They are responsive and hospitable. They were very accommodating to anything we needed. Second, the farm animals!! We have absolutely fallen in love with the goats and chickens. If you stay long enough, you will see their crazy and amazing personalities. They are entertaining all day and have been a joy to see everyday. Feeding the chickens and ducks their food everyday was a great way to start the day. Watch out for Lloyd, the rooster. He’s a lady’s man and loves to act like his foot hurts for attention, but then you’ll see him chasing the hens with zero issue. 😂 The main house dogs are full of energy and they come charging full speed for some pets and good boy affirmation. And of course, the home. It is beautifully renovated with a spacious bedroom and bathroom. Clean home and comfortable bed. Fresh farm eggs. And the creek at night with the windows open…❤️. WE LOVE

Tina was the kindest host! She was super responsive when we had questions and was extremely friendly and hospitable. She was great at being flexible with our needs and truly went above and beyond. We also fell in love with her donkeys, Buster and Donkey. We loved our stay and are so grateful to Tina for being an incredible host!

This is an amazing property with a fantastic family near by. While they give privacy, they are also available and all very polite. The property is magnificent. She clearly knows how to keep a very clean home and decorate well. If you could think of it she provided it! I especially loved the touches that only a parent would provide: toys, books, games, kids plates and forks/ spoons, sound machine. The porch is something from a story book and I wish I had more time on it. Seriously if you see this property available take it as a sign to snatch it up for a night or two!! I would have given 10 stars if that was an option!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home for a family weekend trip. It is incredibly peaceful, we loved spotting the cows whenever we could. Lynn is a wonderful host, she was very helpful with our stay ensuring it was smooth & even kindly provided some goodies for us to enjoy during. I highly recommend a stay here, we look forward to coming back in the future!
