Farmstay vacation rentals in Michigan

This is—by FAR—our favorite Airbnb we’ve ever stayed in Up North. Our family loves it so much, we call it “our farm”! We’ve stayed here in the summer, but this is the first winter we’ve been since they put in a hot tub, and even though we thought it couldn’t get better, now we NEVER want to leave!!!! We planned this weekend with our best friends at the cottage next door so we could all do the winter things together—skiing at the Homestead, putting together a puzzle in front of the wood stove and wine tasting across the street at French Valley (literally, we just walked!!!) We are already thinking about our next stay—can’t wait to get back to the cottage as soon as we can.

Cozy place with a lot of charm & neat amenities. Close to Marinette/Menominee & easy commute to amazing hiking. Would happily stay here again!

Mark is always so great! We’ve stayed here multiple times now and won’t be staying anywhere else (if his place is available) when we’re in that area!

My fiancé and I visited Donna’s place over a summer weekend, and we had the most amazing time. Donna’s house is so beautiful and welcoming - we felt at home. Her place was clean and is filled with the most thoughtful decor. It has everything anyone needs for a peaceful, relaxing stay. She was responsive right from the day of booking to our final day and even stopped by to meet us in person. We look forward to staying at her house again soon!

Very beautiful location and a very short drive from downtown Charlevoix. It took a few minutes of walking to get from Cabin 1 to the main cabin where we could charge our devices and use the bathroom, which we didn't mind too much since it was a short stay. If you'd enjoy a camping-like experience with a comfy bed and no bugs, this is a great place to stay! Carl was also super helpful and responsive :)

This home is beautiful! It has everything you need, even a relaxing hot tub. We had a sister’s weekend with 7 of us and had plenty of room. Communication was great! Linda made everything easy. I would highly recommend this home for renting.

I would highly recommend Ryan’s place for anyone traveling to the Marquette area. Ryan was very friendly & helpful, the space was just as described, check in was easy with great instructions and the area was beautiful. Ryan and his family live above the Airbnb but you could hardly hear them. The space was comfortable and well stocked with everything you would need. I definitely plan to return next time I’m in the area.

We absolutely loved our stay. Very secluded, romantic, minimalistic in the best way. Beautiful location, and we loved the hot tub on the deck. Rachel was such a great host, will be back again this summer!

This was our second stay at Keller Farm! Our group of 8 plus a pup were made to feel right at home with the open layout, cozy couch and fireplace, plenty of beds and bathrooms, and a kitchen with everything you will need. We love being surrounded by nature and we even had snow during our visit to make things extra cozy. This place is just perfect. We look forward to next year!

The Black Barn is an absolutely gorgeous, one-of-a-kind place - a real gem. We could have spent our entire weekend just exploring the nooks and crannies of the quirky building and delving into its delightful collection of books, but there were also lots of animals to meet, many enjoyable woodland walks, take-home treats from the farm store, and the wonderful wood-fired sauna. Brett and Molly were amazing hosts, and we loved learning about the farm. Can't wait to be back!

Beautiful quaint place to stay, and the hosts were very hospitable, even enjoyed some fresh apple cider the morning we checked out!

Linda and Doug were exceptional hosts. Very warm and welcoming, gave great suggestions for to-do’s/food in the area. The cabin was the perfect size for two people and the bed was comfy! We hiked through the woods and had a fire - perfect overnight getaway. The place felt isolated which is exactly what we wanted. We would definitely revisit! Thank you both so much for such a warm welcome.

Fantastic house and property! We were here in February for a long weekend and the house was perfect. It snowed several inches and this was the best place to curl up by the wood stove with a book, explore the property with our dog, and play games with the kids. One of the cleanest rentals we’ve stayed at and every thing was just as pictured. Location is great - short drive to Northport, Suttons Bay, and even Glen Arbor for an afternoon of skiing. Cannot recommend enough!

Wow, the pictures do not do this space justice! Quite a bit of space; a lower level suite. Bedroom with bath, and jacuzzi tub; as well as a kitchen with table & chairs and counter seating; and living room area with large sectional. Very nice property with walking path. A beautiful country setting. Bronwyn is a great host with great communication. She met us to show us our space, and tell us about the property. She also will give you privacy and space. Loved the shelty dogs and horse.

Better than what we could’ve hoped for! It was the perfect place to stay for our wedding weekend - so stunningly laid out even for pictures! We’d highly recommend this home to anyone in the area.

This cottage is a great place if you’re looking for a weekend to just chill and relax. The inside is a cozy vibe and there’s plenty of local restaurants and even grocery stores if you want to go out to eat or even bring food back to prepare in the home. But the location is also great if you’re looking to do some outdoor activities and just need a home base to return to after a day or exploring.

Nicely appointed apartment, roomy with plenty of space for our stuff, and having a washer and dryer was a nice bonus. We appreciated the snacks and provisions in the full kitchen after our long drive. I especially loved the location which allowed us to reach our family even during the worst of the lake effect snow, and the mud room sure was handy! I wanted to be able to wander the trails more, but the frigid wind had different ideas. We hope to come back; I can explore next time! Thanks for everything!

It felt great staying at this place. I think the water boiler was not quite functional during our stay, but they immediately offered a solution. We personally felt that we were okay with semi warm shower and did not want the owner to come in to fix the issue, but that's just us. Can't blame the owner for a broken water boiler. Overall, a great place for a great price.

The Rainbow’s End is a true hidden gem. The cabin is one of the cleanest and coziest rentals we’ve ever stayed at. It’s filled with artwork and books and tchotchkes that are a constant surprise. The kitchen was stocked with high quality cookware and ceramic plates - it had everything we needed to cook. Dennis and his dog Bentley were gracious hosts and let us check in early. We’ll definitely be back.

Great host and location for a quick family stay. We really enjoyed the sheep and our interactions with bandit. House was great for us.

My group has been cross-country skiing at ABR for more than 20 years. We like to rent a house on the trails. This was our first time at Saari House. The second week in March was late in the season for skiing, but we skied in the mornings and snowshoed in the afternoons. Being right off the Blueberry Bluffs trails was nice. The house is charming, with lots of natural light. There is a well-equipped kitchen and a dining room table that seats 6. There is just one bathroom but that was fine for our group of four women. One bedroom is on the main floor, off the cozy living room. The second floor has the second bedroom, plus an extra room with a pull-out couch. It was nice to have plenty of large towels, and a washer/dryer in the bathroom. There is a small wooden deck around the front of the house. You enter through a mud room with plenty of room to store your boots and hang clothes. We look forward to a visit here next winter!

Loved this serene and groovy vibe that was a great alternative to camping with the many comforts and amenities my older self enjoyed greatly! You have thought of everything for a perfect stay! I definitely would like to return and enjoy hiking and biking options! Thank you for a peaceful getaway!
