Family-friendly vacation rentals in Makaha Valley

Mike and Nicky were very nice and accommodating. They provided clear instructions and helpful tips about local restaurants. The home was very clean and has all you would need for a comfortable stay. Would highly recommend and stay again!

We had a a very easy and comfortable stay here - nothing to fault! It was very clean, had ample bath towels, and the kids loved the beach toys available (body board, floaties). It was just a few minutes walk to the beach, very manageable for my young kids. Being part of the Waikiki Banyan made it easy to arrange taxis to get around as it's an identifiable hotel. Christina and Rachel's communication was always prompt, helpful, and instructions were clear. It was conveniently right next to the elevators, and surprisingly very quiet, we didn't hear anyone else coming and going. The beds were comfortable. There are sliding doors to create some privacy between the bedroom, though just a curtain between the bed and basin area. We enjoyed the view over the canal and mountains. The pool was closed for renovations but we knew this before booking and the hosts confirmed this before our stay. We didn't use a car, but definitely would stay here again knowing there is free parking! Thank you!

Great place to stay, highly recommend especially if you have kids. They had all the beach stuff you will need (toys, chairs, umbrellas, etc). They also had a pack n play and a high chair for littles. The resort itself has a great pool and beach access. They let kids feed the fish every morning too which was a fun activity for my 19 month old. Was also really nice being on the ground floor. We could open up the slider and let our little guy run in and out. Would definitely stay here again!

Excellent location and great apartment! The space was updated and very clean. We especially appreciated all of the items available for use: beach chairs, kids beach toys, pack and play, cookware, knives and cutting board, etc. The closest beach is just a block away and perfect for small kids- it was shallow and had a sea wall to keep the stronger waves out. We would definitely stay here again!

This was my second stay, and just like the last time, everything was very comfortable and pleasant. It was a bit unfortunate that the bathroom ventilation fan broke on the first day, but aside from that, everything was wonderful and made for a very enjoyable stay. I would love to stay here again the next time I visit Hawaii. Thank you very much.

We had a good stay at Cheryl's place. The kitchen had all the essential appliances and everything was in its place. The cleanliness was good uppon arrival. The view of Waikiki from our room was beautiful. Note that the AC was next to the bed. Some didn't mind, others in the other room just turned it off during the night and on during the day and it didn't bother. The temperature always stayed comfortable in both cases. Unlike some reviews we saw later on the internet, we had no bugs and the place felt safe. To sum up, we liked our stay there! Thanks again Cheryl.

The view is amazing! Shawn was quick to respond even at 10pm. Having the washer and dryer was very helpful.

10th floor rooftop had an amazing view of the beach ,Honolulu Zoo and Diamond Head. Beach was nearby, lots of walkable restaurants,Nice view from the Lanai

Family of 4 had a great stay in Waikiki at Chris’s condo. Perfect location for beach, food and sport (volleyball, tennis, jogging, snorkeling, surfing) lovers. For us all Waikiki's a walking distance. Apartment seemed a bit outdated but everything worked great, clean, no issues with anything during our 2 weeks vacations. Two separate rooms with a locked door and 2 bathrooms. Small, but well equipped kitchen. Open Lanai with round table and 4 chairs worked fantastic for a morning coffee. For those who worry about a free parking - I always found a spot at Kalākaua Ave along the Kapiʻolani Park (free between 6pm and 10am) We would definitely stay there again and recommend this place to others who look for a spacious, well priced top floor condo with good facilities in Waikiki.

Kenny was a great host for our stay. His instructions really helped in checking in. He also provided extra towels and beach stuff . we really loved the view from our bedroom. Would definitely come back next time .

Great location and value- loved the balcony and the family of birds that visited us daily. Mark is an awesome host super responsive! We will be back.

I would stay here again. Location was ideal and room had everything I could I ever need. The room is small and I pack light, so it was perfect for me. My favorite part was the balcony and having the little counter and chairs out there. My least favorite part was the noise at night on the weekend, but it is to be expected with the location, so I was not surprised.

An ideal place to stay for your first trip to Hawaii! The location is unbeatable! Perfect if you prefer not to rent a car. Surrounded by incredible restaurants and breathtaking views, it offers everything you need for a memorable getaway. Highly recommended!

We had an amazing stay. Our host, Matthew was everything we needed. I reached out to him several times to ask him lots of questions before the trip and he was very prompt & willing to get the answers. It really helped us a lot. I was very relaxed coming just because he gave us such detailed information. We came from 12 hours away so I was nervous on what to expect. The check in was easy and that was a plus since we arrived so late and we were very tired. The place was very clean & matched the description from online. It was the perfect location to the beach , shops, and restaurants. We loved that everything was in waking distance. We would love to stay here again for our next visit to Waikiki.

We had been traveling for 5 weeks and had been flying for 14 hours on our way hone and we stayed here for one night to get a break before the next flight. Very comfortable beds and showers. Very clean. Exactly what we needed. There was a coffee maker, not all do these days. View of the ocean was terrific. I would stay here again.

We had an incredible stay in Pacific Beach Rentals, and a huge part of that was thanks to our amazing host! From the moment we booked, communication was fast, clear, and friendly. The host went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed even sharing local tips for activities around the area. The check-in process was seamless, and the place was spotless, cozy, and exactly as described — if not better! Shannon's place on the North Shore was a perfect spot for our staycation. The condo was a close walk to Turtle Bay, the even being held at Turtle Bay, and a short drive to many amazing food trucks and restaurants. The condo had a gorgeous view of one of the golf course holes and free flowing palm trees. The unit itself was perfect for our needs and would be great for a small family or group. Easy to find, close parking, and super helpful hosts. Absolute gem on the North Shore.

Wendy’s place at Turtle Bay was an absolute dream! The condo was spotless, beautifully decorated, and fully stocked with everything we needed—from beach towels and chairs to a full kitchen setup. The location can’t be beat—just a short walk to the beach, golf course, restaurants, and some of the best sunsets we’ve ever seen. Wendy was a phenomenal host—responsive, thoughtful, and full of great local recommendations. We especially appreciated the personal touches and how easy she made the check-in process. Whether you’re looking to surf, relax, or explore the North Shore, this is the perfect home base. We’ll definitely be back!

Great stay. Very clean. Amazing location right by the beach and easy access getting into the room and checking in. Free parking which saves so much money and no resort fee everyday. Would stay again or recommend. He even offered us a great deal to stay extra days and let us check out as late as we wanted. If we didn’t have something in the room he would come and drop off more.

We absolutely loved our stay at Mike and Kate’s place! The location on the North Shore is unbeatable—just a short walk to Turtle Bay, where we spent time on the beach and enjoyed the resort’s great restaurants. It’s also perfectly situated for easy drives to all the other highlights the North Shore has to offer. The condo was spotless, well-equipped, and spacious—perfect for two people. One of our favorite parts was enjoying breakfast each morning on the patio, with peaceful views of the golf course. Mike and Kate were great hosts, and we can’t wait to return!
