Million $ View on Gorgeous Secluded Beach!

WhitneyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Our stay at Tom's condo at the Hawaiian Princess was a great way to start our Hawaiian vacation. The view was everything that was advertised along with the privilege of viewing local sea life right from the balcony. During our stay, the condo experienced some mechanical issues. Tom was quick to respond and what couldn't be fixed immediately, Tom monetarily compensated us to offset the inconvenience. Previous reviews referenced the homeless encampment in this area of Oahu. Yes , they are there but never felt unsafe at the condo. One family enjoyed the private beach and ate a l9cal restaurant which was recommended by another Hawaiian Princess guest. For those who want to stay out of the hectic zone of Honolulu or Waikiki, the west side of Oahu in Waianea is worth the drive.

Bali Oceanfront Cottage

BeckyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Great location. Right on the water. It was a little hard to find due to foliage covering the address. More specific details would have been nice. There aren’t a lot of restaurants open for dinner but it was quiet and peaceful. The ocean sounded spectacular. Host took awhile to respond hit luckily we weren’t that needy. Bedrooms downstairs were kinda musty. We didn’t have any issues with the hot water. Overall, I would recommend this place. Great spot on the north shore. Not really good for snorkeling or surfing but great for swimming. We saw honu while drinking our morning coffee

Beachfront/Oceanfront with Tennis/Pool/Jacuzzi

KathrynRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We absolutely LOVED our stay here. The inside of the condo was beautiful, SO clean, and stocked with everything you could need from kitchen appliances to sunscreen to towels and other beach gear. The view from the balcony/lanai was absolutely gorgeous. Overlooking a beach which was pretty private. Watched whales and sea turtles. The only downside of the air bnb was that the location is not in the nicest part of town, however, the building is in a gated area. We never felt unsafe. Although it is a ways from any nice restaurants, this did not bother us one bit because we ate almost every meal on the lanai as it the views were more gorgeous than any restaurant could offer! We would recommend this stay to anyone who is wanting a beautiful, quiet, and peaceful stay!

Romantic Beachfront Studio

AmandaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
I’ll make it easy for you, reader: BOOK THIS PLACE and thank me later! Rose’s dreamy, private haven on the beach was an absolute dream stay. The spot was exactly as described and very thoughtfully appointed inside. Clean, tidy, and full of all the essentials needed for a beach day. The setting is absolutely incredible — seriously its own little slice of paradise. There are other units on the property, so there are other people around, but everyone was friendly and courteous, and the unit itself still had plenty of privacy. We wish we could have stayed 10 more nights!

Beachfront Getaway - Hawaiian Princess Condo

ChristyRating, 5 stars3 days ago
The only word for Penny's place is perfect. The ocean view and balcony are beautiful. The condo itself is well maintained and very clean. The kitchen is well stocked with both cooking and eating utensils as well as extras like spices, oil and condiments. Beach gear is also provided. Apart from the condo, the property itself is also well maintained and secure as it is gated and requires a security fob to enter the parking lot. From a communication perspective, Penny is probably the most proactive host I've stayed with. She provides a binder of info on restaurants and activities in the area but was also willing to provide some guidance on hikes and other activities when I inquired. I'm not sure when we'll get back to Oahu, but if Penny is still hosting, we will be staying at her property!

Legal BEACHfront Condo, free pkg, pool, hot tub! 2

EmilyRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Our stay here was absolutely incredible! It all started with the super easy check in process! A security guard (who was very friendly) met us at our car and explained everything we needed to know! Our unit was super clean and had everything we needed for a great stay! The lanai was our absolute favorite! The sun sets directly in front of the condo, and truly has the best view out of anywhere on the island! The location is perfect for us, as we have friends and family on this side of the island. If you are looking for all the touristy stuff that Waikiki has to offer, this may not be the place for you. If you’re looking for a pristine beach that is not very heavily populated, and the best sunset you’ve ever seen, definitely check this place out! Finally the host (Pat) was very easy to communicate with, and always responded quickly! 10 out of 10, we will definitely stay here again the next time we return to paradise!

What a beautiful beach and view! We loved our time at Kathleen’s condo. It was very clean, comfortable and peaceful. I haven’t slept as well as I did there in ages. The ocean at this beach is very swim-able and there are lots of turtles to watch as well. We had everything we needed and felt very safe. Thank you for a wonderful time!

*Serendipity on the Moana! - Legal & Beachfront!*

MarthaRating, 5 stars3 months ago
The condo itself, the pool, and the beach outside the condo are wonderful. Spectacular sunsets and a pristine beach. The condo is very nice with everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. The only downside is the large homeless population in the area. Very sad. We drove each day to other parts of the island and then returned in the afternoon to walk the beach and lay by the pool. Charmaine is a wonderful host.

Pulelehua Kuilima Estates West #142: AC and Pool

MikeRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The kitchen was so well stocked with much more than expected! We appreciated the quality of the rooms linens and decor. The decor was a homey beachy vibe and was enough that it didn't feel as if you were staying in a rented bare bones condo. The pool was just steps away and the ocean is a 10 - 15 minute walk. Enjoyed morning runs on the golf course paths down to the water. We sat out on the private lanai and enjoyed coffee. Checkout was reasonable and a breeze. We would definitely stay here again!

Turtle Bay Retreat: Boho Bliss on the North Shore

TacomaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Really enjoyed staying here. The hosts were very good at communicating and made it very easy to get a late checkout worked out with them. The place is in a great area with nice pools nearby. The place is a little small but was described that way. I’d recommend staying here. The only negative was the WiFi stopped working after the first night so we weren’t really able to use the TV the last couple night. It was a little frustrating but everything else was wonderful.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Ryan's. It is beautiful, clean and the perfect spot to enjoy the North Shore. We also enjoyed the restaurants at the Turtle Bay Hotel. I had one question about the tv and Ryan was immediately responsive. We'd definitely stay again and recommend to anyone.

Beautiful Newly Renovated North Shore Condo !

DougRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Great place and everything about Airbnb is perfect so would recommend. The Turtle Bay resource beach is awesome (golf range is sweet, food / drinks are good, and it’s walking). The Turtle Bay beach is great too if you like relaxing and snorkling, only downside is the waves are nonexistent there so not good for bodysurfing. But you can drive to that nearby

We had an amazing stay! We were a family of 7 visiting and from the minute we walked in it felt like home! Everything you could possibly need was available and overall super inviting. The host was friendly and responded quickly. If I HAD anything “negative” to say I’d say the advertised pictures don’t capture exactly how beautiful the view is from almost every single window in the home! Thank you so much for hosting us we would love to return again sometime!

Your guide to Turtle Bay

All About Turtle Bay

Turtle Bay is located along the north shore of the Hawaiian island of Oahu, serving as the starting point for a string of magnificent beaches on both sides, including the tranquil, tree-lined shore at Kawela. Named after the green turtles that once fed in the bay, the area is an undeveloped stretch of pristine sand and rock formations that is a well-known surfing destination. You can watch as surfers paddle their way out to catch the next big wave and look out for seals frolicking in the crystal-clear water.

The bay is also the gateway to Oahu’s rugged North Shore, where just-caught seafood is a firm fixture on menus, whether it’s at a roadside shrimp truck or in fish tacos at a beachfront eatery. World-renowned Waimea Bay is just a 15-minute drive away, famous as a winter playground for big wave surfers. During the summer, small boats bob offshore and calmer waters make it a perfect spot for swimming and paddleboarding, while sunset brings cotton candy skies and balmy ocean breezes — perfect for savoring shaved ice, a Hawaiian staple.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Turtle Bay

The summer months are a popular time to visit Turtle Bay with sunny days and high temperatures. Water-based activities are plentiful, from stand-up paddleboarding to kayaking and diving. During the autumn, the waves are calm and there’s more room to roam along the area’s scenic beaches. Tropical storms and hurricanes are rare, but the season runs from June to November, so bear this in mind when planning your trip. Winter brings pleasant temperatures and short, sharp rainstorms. O’ahu’s North Shore is a major surfing destination and, from late December until early April, a whole host of competitions see the pros pit themselves against enormous waves. In March, a three-day festival brings together Hawaiian, Pacific, and Asian traditions through music, dance, and art.

Top things to do in Turtle Bay

North Shore

This legendary seven-mile stretch of beaches along the north coast of Oahu has been attracting surfers and spectators during the winter for decades with its soaring, 30-feet-tall waves and professional surfing competitions. During the summer, the waves flatten and the area transforms into a tranquil swimming spot. The shoreline is largely undeveloped, with pristine natural beauty sitting alongside the food trucks and craft stores in Haleiwa.

Kawela Bay Beach Park

As one of Oahu’s most secluded beaches, Kawela Bay is the perfect place to relax on the beach or paddle in the calm water. The bay is one of the most protected areas along the North Shore, making it a safe spot for swimming during the winter. The surrounding parkland features a World War II pillbox and a spectacular banyan tree that has formed the backdrop for a host of Hollywood movies and TV shows.

Sharks Cove

As part of the Pūpūkea Marine Life Conservation District, Sharks Cove is one of the best diving spots on the North Shore. The area has a fascinating underwater topography, with vertical lava tubes descending directly into underwater caverns and swim-throughs, and there is a rich array of marine life, including spotted eagle rays, unicorn fish, turtles, and octopuses. This is a great spot for beginners, but keep in mind that diving is only possible during the summer as winter waves make it too dangerous.
