One of a kind Beach front 2brm ocean and mnt views

KathrinRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
The apartment was big, modern and well-equipped with a perfect oceanview. The location of the apartment is very quiet, with private access to the beach. The views and access to the beach is even better than shown on the pictures. Watching the sunset was the best and most memorable during our stay. We would love to come back!

Hidden gem at N.Shore Turtle bay w/ Resort Access

MariannaRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
We love North Shore and Jeannine's place is a Jem. We had a really great time and would love to come back. A couple of things would make it even better. 1. A few hooks in the bathroom and may be in hallway 2. A TV in the living room instead of the bedroom 3. The smart TV is just that-smart. It would help to have a written instruction for regular folks

Hale O Hoa- Paradise at Turtle Bay

LourdesRating, 5 stars2 days ago
The place was clean and comfortable with cute Hawaiian decorations. The beach area was beautiful and sparsely peopled in October — especially as you get away from the hotel area. The location was secure and serene. Kitchen was well equipped. Jennifer was very responsive and made sure that everything went well. Parking was easy and convenient.

*** Beachfront Open Studio - steps to the Ocean *

LyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We enjoyed our stay here. It’s steps from the ocean. At night we loved hearing the waves crash/ocean which was so relaxing. Although you can hear your neighbors and footsteps above it’s worth it to stay there. The place is bigger than you think. The tub was nice along with the outdoor shower. Your near Hale’iwa town and North Shore. Plenty of things to do such as Waimea Valley (botanical garden/waterfall), Shark Cove (snorkeling), Laniakea beach (turtle beach). There’s plenty of food options such as Giovanni Shrimp truck, Teddy burgers (which has sport tvs), Matsumoto shave iced, Ted’s Bakery, etc.

Haleiwa Waterfront House

SylviaRating, 5 stars2 days ago
This place was very lovely and had a wonderful view of the ocean. We had an amazing time in Hawaii. The house was conveniently located next to two very nice beaches we went to. As for other excursions it was a bit of a drive but we didn’t mind since there was so much beautiful scenery on the island. The bed was smaller than expected, it is maybe a queen but felt tiny. It was me and my husband and we are average people and we were shoulder to shoulder in the bed if we laid on our backs. I understand it is a small room and the bed already does take up a lot of space. Everything else is amazing and that isn’t even that big of a deal. We loved waking up in the morning and going to a local açaí place for breakfast and coming home to eat out on the lovely deck. Truly this is a once in a lifetime experience to be this close to the beach! I say if you are debating it, please treat yourself to this wonderful house.

Honu Hale on Turtle bay golf course & near beach

NacoleRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This is one of the best rentals I’ve experienced! Beautifully appointed with more amenities and toiletries than expected. We were pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to access Turtle Bay. Close proximity to Pipeline, Sunset, Shark’s cove; food trucks of every kind; upscale restaurants at Turtle Bay that were walkable. AC worked great and was an added bonus that most rentals don’t have in HI

Tropical Turtle Bay Bungalow W/ Parking

KrithikaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Really responsive and incredibly kind and sweet host! The spot had everything we needed - washer/dryer, cooking ware, iron, great sound system, and AC! The place was clean and spotless. If you’re planning to book this spot for two couples, don’t hesitate even though one of the rooms is in the living room area. The master bedroom is at the opposite end of the suite, so privacy didn’t feel like an issue at all, we were very comfortable. Super nice walking into the Ritz to get coffee, too! Overall, really great value and would stay here again when visiting the North Shore area!

Bird Of Paradise TVU-1868 - Ke Iki Beach Bungalows

KatherineRating, 5 stars1 week ago
I'm almost at a loss for words, because it was just that beautiful. The ocean is right in front of you, and then you have an amazing porch that allows you to just sit and enjoy the view. Greg and his wife were just so welcoming, and the place was incredibly peaceful. Did I mention how beautiful it is? The property where the bungalows are situated is immaculately manicured, and the interiors were gorgeous. We walked less than half a mile to get to Shark's Cove for snorkeling. You could also easily walk to the food stands and even the grocery store. We really did not want to leave, but to be sure we will be back!

Serendipity at Turtle Bay - 1 Bedroom + Loft

TylerRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Melissa’s place was exactly as advertised/pictured and everything was perfect. Place was easy to find, clear instructions getting in, perfectly clean upon arrival, and everything was well setup. The above and beyond pieces were things like coffee provided, spices/oils and cookware for cooking, and beach supplies like chairs and umbrellas which is a huge positive and big cost savings! Great place and will definitely rent again if we are back on the north shore.

Aloha Sunny Turtle Bay - Updated 2 BD + Loft

DanielleRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Perfect location and had everything we needed. We walked to Lei Lei’s, the beach, stables and to the resort. The kitchen was well stocked for us to cook and I liked being on ground level for easy in and out for accessibility. Safe for our toddler and my husband who uses a cane. Highly recommend! Your guide to Turtle Bay

All About Turtle Bay

Turtle Bay is located along the north shore of the Hawaiian island of Oahu, serving as the starting point for a string of magnificent beaches on both sides, including the tranquil, tree-lined shore at Kawela. Named after the green turtles that once fed in the bay, the area is an undeveloped stretch of pristine sand and rock formations that is a well-known surfing destination. You can watch as surfers paddle their way out to catch the next big wave and look out for seals frolicking in the crystal-clear water.

The bay is also the gateway to Oahu’s rugged North Shore, where just-caught seafood is a firm fixture on menus, whether it’s at a roadside shrimp truck or in fish tacos at a beachfront eatery. World-renowned Waimea Bay is just a 15-minute drive away, famous as a winter playground for big wave surfers. During the summer, small boats bob offshore and calmer waters make it a perfect spot for swimming and paddleboarding, while sunset brings cotton candy skies and balmy ocean breezes — perfect for savoring shaved ice, a Hawaiian staple.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Turtle Bay

The summer months are a popular time to visit Turtle Bay with sunny days and high temperatures. Water-based activities are plentiful, from stand-up paddleboarding to kayaking and diving. During the autumn, the waves are calm and there’s more room to roam along the area’s scenic beaches. Tropical storms and hurricanes are rare, but the season runs from June to November, so bear this in mind when planning your trip. Winter brings pleasant temperatures and short, sharp rainstorms. O’ahu’s North Shore is a major surfing destination and, from late December until early April, a whole host of competitions see the pros pit themselves against enormous waves. In March, a three-day festival brings together Hawaiian, Pacific, and Asian traditions through music, dance, and art.

Top things to do in Turtle Bay

North Shore

This legendary seven-mile stretch of beaches along the north coast of Oahu has been attracting surfers and spectators during the winter for decades with its soaring, 30-feet-tall waves and professional surfing competitions. During the summer, the waves flatten and the area transforms into a tranquil swimming spot. The shoreline is largely undeveloped, with pristine natural beauty sitting alongside the food trucks and craft stores in Haleiwa.

Kawela Bay Beach Park

As one of Oahu’s most secluded beaches, Kawela Bay is the perfect place to relax on the beach or paddle in the calm water. The bay is one of the most protected areas along the North Shore, making it a safe spot for swimming during the winter. The surrounding parkland features a World War II pillbox and a spectacular banyan tree that has formed the backdrop for a host of Hollywood movies and TV shows.

Sharks Cove

As part of the Pūpūkea Marine Life Conservation District, Sharks Cove is one of the best diving spots on the North Shore. The area has a fascinating underwater topography, with vertical lava tubes descending directly into underwater caverns and swim-throughs, and there is a rich array of marine life, including spotted eagle rays, unicorn fish, turtles, and octopuses. This is a great spot for beginners, but keep in mind that diving is only possible during the summer as winter waves make it too dangerous.
