“This place is great and laid back. Hubby and I were looking for an escape from Covid-19 and a good home base while we explored the Hill Country. The airstream is comfortable, although the A/C unit struggled to keep up with 100 degree temps. (It’s a vintage airstream- what do you expect?) Not a deal breaker for us but if you are looking for ice cold comfort, this may not be your jam. Also, the WiFi isn’t that great and your cell phone won’t work except in one little spot on the top of a cliff. (Also not a deal breaker and is actually a bonus if you really are trying to unplug- but if you are the isolated worker type, take a few vacation days and come anyway). For anyone else who likes feeling alone in the world with beautiful views, looking at the stars, cooking over a charcoal grill, and just getting away from it all, let this be your home away from home. The river swimming hole is fun. We also took 2 day trips, one to Fredericksburg (for cell service/WiFi, shopping and the sights) and another to South Llano River State Park in Junction. Both are less than an hour from the RV Park, and both were completely enjoyable. If you don’t like deer, I don’t recommend traveling at dusk. We saw more deer than people on our way back from one of our outings. We will be back when we need a break in the fall and winter, and highly recommend this quirky, laid back lodging.”

“The weekend wasn't long enough. Inside is so comfortable and beautiful, and has such a fantastic view. The outdoor space under the house is a perfect place to chill and lounge in the hammock or beach chairs. The fire pit under the milky way is great, the river is like a personal resort space — and I wanted to spend hours in each location hanging out reading, napping, talking with family and friends, but I needed more time than just a weekend. And I didn't even have time to do any real hiking along the river. I'm already looking forward to visiting again, and I'd live here if I could.”
Cozy cabin on the banks of the Llano River at the Dos Rios RV Park. 1 full sized bed, and 1 twin overflow mattress. Cliffs, swimming holes, kayaking, fly fishing, and a bat cave are all in your back yard. Several other Airstreams and cabins are also available on the 15.3 acre river front property.
“I’m an RN embroiled in the current public health crisis living in a large metropolitan city. I needed a breather to get away from the increasingly angry traffic, social media, wearing masks & shields on my head for 10-12 hours a day, and all the other stressors that barged into my life mid March. Dos Rios did that for me, in the middle of nowhere Mason County alongside a beautiful river I sat with my dog drinking cans of beer leaving my IPhone alone in the cabin. I spent 3 days refreshing my body, mind & soul. The cabin is perfect for 1 person. 2 people can be comfortable as well. The bed was comfy and the A/c window unit sufficient for the hottest days of the year. Thanks for being dog friendly too!”
