House vacation rentals in Lake Almanor Peninsula

The house was immaculate and clean as if I was the first ever to stay. The neighborhood was quiet, beautiful, and close to shopping and restaurants. Nidhi responded to my communications within minutes and even met me the next day to return some items that I had left.

This cute, quaint house was absolutely perfect! It was impeccably clean and felt so homey from the moment we walked in. We especially loved having access to the pool on such a hot day – it was a lifesaver! The owners were incredibly responsive and truly great hosts, making sure we had everything we needed. Plus, the AC worked wonders in the triple-digit heat! We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing getaway!

Wonderful weekend spent at this property! Loved how everything was labeled and easy to find! Loved that we could walk to campus. Elizabeth was responsive and helpful! Our family was able to enjoy a 3rd generation Chico grad for the weekend in the beautiful backyard. Plenty of space for family of all ages! Cannot recommend a better Airbnb in Chico!

What a wonderful Airbnb! We were in town for our daughter’s graduation and the place could not have been more perfect for our family. We had a mixture of grandparents and younger tweens who all felt right at home. The backyard and pool were the main attraction, as we spent most of our time outside. The owners just renovated the pool area so we were very lucky. We played shuffleboard inside, horse shoes and used the jacuzzi as well. We hosted a bbq for the grad party and the bbq worked great for a large group. No issues at all. There is tons of parking which was appreciated as well. We wish we had another kid going to Chico state just so we could stay here again! Thank you Sara Rose for answering all of our questions and being such a great host.

We had a very relaxing perfect stay at this house. The pool is fantastic, It’s surrounded with grassy areas lots of shade. The pictures do not do it justice. I would absolutely stay here again the next time we are in Chico.

In town for a Chico graduation and stayed at this property. Beautiful house and yard, exactly what we expected and then some! The host was very nice and responsive to my question even though it was my own user error in typing the password to the WiFi. Clean, beautifully decorated, everything we needed for a getaway, would definitely recommend this place!!

I can't say enough wonderful things about Jay's home in Chico. We loved it! No detail was overlooked - clear and easy directions and expectations, beautiful details with home (decor, linens, kitchen appliances, Keurig stocked with amenities, etc.) amazing water pressure, and super comfortable beds. I could go on - the only thing I would change is the length of our stay - we wished we could have stayed longer. It is obvious that Jay takes a lot of pride in offering a beautiful home to his guests from AirBnB - the BEST place we have stayed in to date.

We had a wonderful stay at Laura’s place. Our entire group really enjoyed both the house and Bidwell Park nearby. The rooms and beds are super comfy. There was plenty of space for everyone, and the outdoor area was really fun! Our kids are already asking to see when we can return! Laura was super responsive and communication was extremely easy. Thank you for a great stay!

Debbie house was everything we needed and more. She was so quick to respond with any questions and had so many recommendations for the area. We are a helicopter crew working in the area and are moving around a ton. She even had a second home we could move in to with a last minute change from our side of work. We hope to stay at any of Debbie's locations anytime we are in the area!

A hidden gem with great birding, botanical diversity, and immaculate artesian craftsmanship. I have already recommended to friends!

My 4 friends and I stayed at Ernie's retreat for our Memorial Day weekend trip to Lassen and Lake Almanor. The photos don't do it justice--this place is gorgeous, and huge! We had plenty of space to relax, cook, and play games. There are clear instructions with how to use the propane fire pit outside, which we used to make s'mores. There is a roaring river right outside that makes you feel like you're far away in the wilderness. The kitchen and bathrooms are well stocked and the TVs all worked as well. Lake Almanor is a short walk or drive away, and we rented kayaks to explore the lake. Most importantly, Ernie is a stand-out host who is kind, proactive, and communicative. Thanks, Ernie!

Had a wonderful stay at Jennifer’s place!! Truly a haven to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Had absolutely everything you would need to have a great time. Would highly recommend and next time I’m bringing my family😁

This is an absolutely stunning lake side home that had every amenity for families to make treasured lifetime memories. My favorite was the huge picnic table on the deck where you could have dinner and watch the sunset over the lake. Rich, is the perfect host, so flexible and responsive with anything you might need. My parents, husband and I enjoyed day trips to Lassen, fishing literally from the backyard and the beautiful scenery that surrounds this home. Quiet and peaceful, it’s the perfect place to get away from the stress of everyday life. Many thanks for sharing your home with us, we will be back!

Another great stay, David; although too short! We had some business to take care of, but we didn't plan enough time to finish our agenda. Our third party member ended up changing his plans and added three other family members, so it was only two of us at the cabin as he made other lodging arrangements. Karissa’s home in Blairsden was the perfect mountain getaway. The space was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed—from fresh linens to a well-equipped kitchen. Waking up to the peaceful forest views and crisp Sierra air was an absolute dream.  Karissa was a fantastic host—friendly, responsive, and clearly invested in making her guests feel at home. Her local recommendations were spot-on and helped us make the most of our trip. If you’re looking for a relaxing, nature-filled escape with all the comforts of home, this is it. We can’t wait to come back!

I had an amazing experience staying at this cozy Airbnb! The host is absolutely wonderful and truly goes above and beyond to make guests feel at home. She has thought of every little detail, from thoughtful touches like extra blankets, pillows, ice cold mugs in the freezer, cold water in the fridge to all the essentials you could possibly need. The space is beautifully decorated and so inviting — perfect for a relaxing getaway. I especially appreciated how clean and well-maintained everything was. I highly recommend this place!

My family enjoyed a lively stay in Quincy, CA. We went there to kind of just unplug from tech, clutter, and the chaos of daily life and this was the perfect getaway.

This is a 3rd year celebrating my husband’s birthday at Steve’s place on Lake Almanor and we will likely be back for a 4th. The home fits our random grouping of family and friends with plenty of elbow room. The huge deck provides the perfect place for morning coffee and group meals while the comfy couch offers a cozy spot to warm up and relax once those evening temps drop. There were plenty of supplies in the kitchen, however I wish there was some Tupperware for leftovers. (I think I said the same thing last year…I should read my own reviews ;)
