We had a great stay here! Helen is so sweet and responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely stay here again!

My family stayed at the ace of spades home for two nights and the stay was absolutely wonderful Laurie our host has provided everything in the kitchen, bathroom patio area that she could possibly think her guest may need during the stay the kitchen had pots utensils coffee cups everything you need from adults to toddlers games were provided. Her home was a perfect location for family from San Antonio, Katy , Killeen and corpus to gather to celebrate my daughter’s birthday it was a true joy being able to stay at the ace of spades and being provided so much that it felt like home . Will be returning for many more family gatherings in the future.

We had such an amazing stay. So peaceful and exactly what we needed. The space was very clean and everything was organized. Mae was attentive and all instructions were clear. We’re definitely going to be back for another get away. 100% cannot recommend enough.

Had an amazing time! This cabin has everything you need to relax with your loved ones. Hosts have great communication and I would definately recommend this place to anyone looking to get away from the city and just enjoy nature! Will be definitely looking forward to coming back!!!

We really loved the quiet, beautiful setting. You look out over a creek and valley and surrounding hills with no one in sight. Due to recent rains, the creek was burbling during our stay and the hills were green. A lovely place to get away from it all. We brought all the food and supplies we needed, which was good because getting to the nearest town (Camp Wood) was a bit of a hike.

We loved staying at this place while visiting Garner and Lost Maples state park! It was clean and we loved the outdoor amenities. Fresh eggs, fire, and fun little play area for kids.

This is a special place - very peaceful & secluded. It's a bit off the beaten path (literally!), but it's cozy and extremely well-appointed. The stars at night are some of the best I've seen and the cabin inside has everything you need to recharge - comfortable beds, excellent hot showers and a cozy fire. The views from the deck are beautiful and we enjoyed making smores! We appreciate your sharing your cabin with us - our 11 yo daughter especially loved playing the Christmas album in the cabin to get us in the holiday spirit =) Many thanks!

This stay was exactly the secluded, quiet getaway in nature that I needed before the full holiday season I have ahead of me as a musician. Melanie & Nathan sent me the coordiantes to the location to be sure I found it easily, and the lockbox made for an easy check-in when I arrived. The kitchen had what I needed, the fridge easily held the food I brought for the stay, and the whole feel of the cabin was cozy. My favorite thing about their place is the view out the back. The sunrises were absolutely breathtaking. I would recommend and would definitely return.
