Cozy Cabin in Volcano Village
This house is just as tranquil and majestic as it looks in the photos. We loved falling asleep to the sounds of frogs and birds, drinking our coffee outside in the morning in a jungle oasis, and dipping in the hot tub in the afternoon. It’s a short drive to Volcano National Park and was the perfect home base while we were explored the area. We will definitely come back and would recommend to all!

Super Host Award! A Hilltop Guest House Inn Hilo
We had a lovely stay. Kenji was so warm and welcoming and made us feel like family. We so appreciated his attentiveness and flexibility and we look forward to returning the next time family comes to visit. Mahalo NUI and a hui hou❤️

Eco Hale Hawaii in the Rainforest Lots Of Aloha
I can’t say enough good things about my stay in the Eco Hale. From the detailed directions to the cabin, to the very warm welcome, Kaeo’s responsiveness, the beauty and serenity of the property, to little details like woolen socks & a going-away bag, everything was 100% on point and what I was looking for to relax and get away from it all. I felt very taken care of from the moment I arrived. The property is safe, exceptionally maintained, and surrounded by beautiful plants, with the sounds of geckos, birds, coqui frogs and rain. Listening to nature while doing yoga or soaking in the tub was the highlight of my trip! Kaeo and Karl really have thought of everything, and are the kindest hosts anyone could ask for. 10/10 experience—I hope to be able to visit again!

Kuono at Volcano
This is the only airbnb that we have stayed at twice because we loved it so much the first time. Jeff's airbnb is absolutely beautiful and located within minutes of the Volcanoes National Park entrance. We're also grateful for Jeff as a generous host; the first time, he was extremely kind when we had to change our reservation due to COVID, and the second time, he let us know that the volcano was erupting so that we had the opportunity to see it. We hope to return a third time!

Secluded Rainforest Getaway! Hot Tub! Volcano!
This place was a little slice of paradise 15 minutes from the volcano. Such a cool off-the-beaten-path experience. We loved the comfortable bed and the hot tub. Wish we had a few more days to enjoy it!

World Class Vacation Home
This was a true 5 star experience! We had so much fun walking around the property with the beautiful trees and plants. Michael walked us around and picked a bunch of fruit for our toddler who had a blast with all the bananas. We were able to enjoy the off grid experience far away from resorts and (other lol) tourists, which is exactly what we were looking for. To top it off we were able to hot tub every night, it was perfect because we could jump in while it was still cool and felt like taking a little dip in a pool. Michael even let us know when the volcano in the park was erupting so we could plan our travel - all part of the experience!

Hale Ma'ukele in beautiful Volcano
Incredible location close to volcano national park (5min drive). Great for a group or family that wants a few rooms and sleep arrangement options. Calming atmosphere, love the little path to the hot tub and the home is clean and well built as described. I was a little sad that the fireplace wasn’t connected though. That was a reason I chose this home because I wanted a cozy pretend-cool-weather getaway from Kona (probably not a priority for most travelers here, though). Everything else was wonderful and Adam was very helpful and had clear instructions and recommendations. I would love to stay here again in the future!

Spectacular view and natural beauty
Absolutely gorgeous views, we enjoyed them morning, noon and night!! Plenty of space!! Extremely clean! Well stocked kitchen for cooking. Great hot tub! Would stay again!

Old School Hospitality
As I previously noted, this is a hidden gem. Very private, very quiet, in a safe and peaceful area. There are two bedrooms, with the mattress of the bed in the main room being rather soft, while the mattress in the smaller room was much firmer and better for my back. The bathroom is very nice with a rainfall shower and lava rock highlights. Full kitchen with all needed accessories. Small but adequate library. There is a marvelous pond with koi and lily plants in the backyard, and another, without the koi, between the two bedrooms. Nice furnishings and decor. Jim used re-purposed wood to build this retreat and did a superlative job. The pool table was a very nice touch. All in all, a serene, idyllic retreat from the hubbub of everyday life.

Hawaii Country Victorian 3 acres Tropical
Very friendly host! The house was awesome. Thanks to Liza and team.

Reclining Buddha Vacation Rental, charming!
John was a great host! He was super nice and welcoming. The place was clean and nice and spacious. He left us bottled water and made sure we settled in.

Tropical Tree Guest House near Pahoa, Hawaii
Love the location to go be down by the water all day. Really relaxing jungle treehouse.

Hale Ohia Nui Nestled in the Forest
We had an incredible month-long stay at Tamara’s place in Pahoa! Her home was spotless, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Tamara was an excellent host, always quick to respond and resolve any requests. The location is truly magical—nestled in the heart of a lush rainforest with friendly neighbors, it’s a peaceful and unique setting. The proximity to Hilo and the Kalapana area was fantastic. We loved visiting the vibrant Uncle Awa’s night market on Wednesday evenings and the lively Sunday drum circle in Seaview Estates which is just a 15-minute drive away. Pahoa itself is a charming town with welcoming and helpful locals. It’s also a great base for exploring the island: Volcanoes National Park is only 40 minutes away, Mauna Kea about 45 minutes, and even Kona is in drivable distance. A delightful surprise was the two adorable stray cats that often visited—they added so much charm to our stay. Thanks Tamara for making our stay so memorable!

Enchanted Volcano Forest Escape 3BDRM Rental House
Lucky to grab this location for a few days. Accommodations were great for three parties of folks. Especially great one couple could bring their dog. Unfortunately, we missed the volcano eruptions, which started the day we checked out for home. They seemed to have everything you might need and super cozy, including the reclining couch sections were comfortable enough to sleep in!!

Best Hilo Beach Area. Swim w/Turtles
The view! What an amazing location. We saw whales in the bay right outside our lanai a few mornings. The space worked perfectly for our group of 7 girlfriends. Plenty of beds and bathroom space. The home is quite old, but we loved the character and evident history. Everything was very clean and tidy and well stocked. Really nice updated kitchen was wonderful. We were close to everything we wanted to do and enjoyed relaxing at the house in the mornings and evenings while enjoying the view. Though right across from a public beach, the house felt quiet and safe. Richard’s recommends ahead of time were spot on and helpful in making plans in advance. Thank you for a fabulous stay! We’d love to return someday!

Unique 3BR Eco-Retreat w/ Volcano Views & Beaches
Quiet, cozy place to rest after going out. Make sure you take time to view the night sky whenever you wind down. The lava rocks and the background is a surreal experience. The kitchen is well stocked and the bathroom is clean. There are plenty of coals if you want to bbq. Bring your own water and food supplies. The only con I have is mosquitoes. Make sure you have mosquito repellents. Thankfully, the beds have curtains over them. Don’t be like me and forget to utilize that before sleeping unless you want to wake up with mosquitoes all over.
Family-friendly home rentals with a pool

Beautiful home with pool, on Kaloli Point
This was our third stay at Maureen’s house, and we are already planning the next one. My only regret is not staying longer. It’s perfect.

Kai Malolo - Amazing Eco-friendly Oceanfront Home!
The view alone is worth the price! Everything was so lush and beautiful! We felt like we were in our very own private resort. We enjoyed the spacious house itself and the outdoor area. The pool was great and the beds were super comfortable! This was a great base to explore the entire Big Island of Hawaii! I would recommend this home to anyone! Just book it already!

Puna Rainforest Retreat Hotspring Rainbow Cottage
Jacklynn’s Airbnb had everything we needed for our stay. Surrounded by lush green forest, private lava hot tubs, beautiful stream vent trails and gorgeous views. Jacklynn also provided us with flashlights for our night walks when we asked. Definitely would book again with her. 10/10 ⭐️

Lava Flow up close and personal
Very nice place. Clean and located close to stores and restaurants. Actually has municipal water to house and not on catchment rain water system. I would stay here again if it is available.

Peaceful Private Hideaway/2bd/ 2bth
Very large 2 bedroom, 2 bath, 2 decks off the beaten path. Linens and robes were very soft, and slippers included. I appreciated the quintet of coffee brewing methods: French press, drip, percolator, and pour over.

Villa Paraiso Hawaii Huge Pool & Hot Tub. Up to 12
Beautiful home with just a short walk to Maku'u Point, which we took frequently. The pool and hot tub were enjoyed daily and the kitchen was nice and big to fit our big family. It was our own private paradise. We also appreciated that the house included sustainable features, like solar panels and rain water use. We couldn't have asked for a better experience on the big island. Made our time there very memorable.

Puna Rainforest Retreat Hotspring
Puna Rainforest Retreat Hotspring is truly one of the most beautiful Airbnb properties I’ve ever stayed at. Nestled in the lush rainforest, the property features stunning orchards, a thriving vegetable garden, and a serene trail that made our stay feel like a true escape into nature. Our host, Jacklyn, has clearly poured a lot of love and care into maintaining this special place. She was incredibly warm and welcoming, generously offering us fresh fruits and vegetables straight from the farm. It was such a unique and thoughtful touch that made our experience even more memorable. Our whole family had a wonderful time here, enjoying the peaceful surroundings and the natural beauty of the property. If we return to the Big Island, there’s no question—we would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a magical and relaxing getaway.

Luxury family w/pool sleep 8/5 minute walk 2 beach
Such a beautiful hale and peaceful area to relax with family. We had a total of 8 adults 1 toddler and twins (16) months. We are from the Big Island so this was a staycation for us. We loved the open livingroom area as we were able to set up our 79×79 play alrea for the kids and still had enough room for everyone to hang. Pool and jet master spa were great! We loved the convenience of the pool bathroom and outdoor living space. The master and guest master rooms were spacious and simple which we liked. Bottom rooms also plus! We cooked all of our meals there it was great! We loved how big the area felt. Everyone had a place to go. We especially loved the adjacent beach!!! Did some fishing and took all the kids swimming and exploring. Lots of tide pools. (bring good reef shoes/nonslip/fish poles/head light or flashlights if going at night-FUN! Close to hilo mall and downtown area. Robert and his staff were respectful and helpful! Definitely enjoyed and appreciated them. B back Mahalo
