Riverwood Hideaway

This off-grid, solar powered hideaway is on the Knife River just a few miles outside of Two Harbors, Minnesota. The cabin itself is loaded with comfort. A full kitchen, propane refrigerator, solar powered lights and a gas fireplace/furnace offer the conveniences of home. There is an outhouse and firewood for the outdoor firepit. You will have to bring your own water for drinking, but we provide hand and dish washing water at the sink. We have coffee with pour over utensils, dishes, spices.

Paul was great. Super friendly. Our kids enjoyed the wooded area, roasting marshmallows on the fire, playing Uno on the deck while listening to music. No TV and WiFi was perfect to disconnect and enjoy hiking and the sandy beaches! Thanks for the great experience.

This is a very comfortable place to stay if you’re visiting the North Shore. Much to see in the area and great places to eat. Amy was very responsive to my questions and She has done a wonderful job making sure her place felt welcoming. She supplied a lot of info on the area that would be helpful to first time visitors. The cottage is kind of tucked away off the street so entrance is from the alley behind the house. That wasn’t a problem for us. Just be aware it’s not really easy to locate from the street. That being said, it was a great find. I highly recommend!

This spot was amazing for our Snowboarding trip, and the group of friends who went absolutely love the location, and of course, right close Giants Ridge made it all the more better. Abby was very responsive, and accommodating! We do this trip annually, and will definitely be booking this again!!

This was a beautiful house in a perfect location! The views of the lake were amazing, my only regret is that we only got to stay here for one night! The hosts were ABOVE AND BEYOND wonderful! Not only an adorable place, but the sweet little gestures and acts of kindness to us guests made it that much more special. You can tell there’s a heart and passion for hospitality. Even my dog was given sweet little shout outs when we arrived. Highly recommend if you’re looking for an Airbnb. I would definitely stay here again.
