Family-friendly vacation rentals in Crescent City

This was a wonderful place! I loved the back yard and the amenities for the outdoor adventures. The house was impressively clean and the host was very friendly and helped with recommendations. This was my favorite Airbnb!

My family really enjoyed this place. It was very clean and cozy. The king bed in the loft was very comfortable. Nice large washer and dryer. Well stocked with supplies. Had a snack welcome basket and coffee and hot cocoa. We enjoyed the tennis and pickleball courts. We even saw deer in the yard. Great location near nice hiking trails and quiet spots on the river. Easy check in.

We had such a nice stay! The house was beautiful and clean. We enjoyed exploring the nearby redwoods during the day and relaxing in the hot tub in the evenings.

Exactly as described- well loved, rustic cabin overlooking the Smith River. It had the most beautiful view and cozy feel to it. Early mornings and evenings in the hot tub were the icing on the cake. We booked fairly last minute as an alternative to camping, and it worked out perfectly. The trail to the river was awesome and we all (pups included) had such a great time, we stayed an extra night. Be aware of poison oak as it was quite prevelant in May (both around the property and in the area). It was honestly magical though and we would definitely return for a spring or summer getaway!

An incredible stay! A beautiful house nestled off a lovely river in a sweet neighborhood. Felt secluded and quiet. The river was wonderful for the children to play by - it’s a steep drop off but my three year old could do it with me holding her hand. And my pre teens could be down and up in seconds. The house felt like a sweet grandma cabin- every thing accessible was very clean, but the house was old and anything hard to reach was more worn. Honestly, it added to the charm. It didn’t affect our stay negatively, but I could see that they’ve tried hard to keep mold at bay, and cover up moldy spots with caulk. Pretty soon, they will need to truly renovate some things. It was so beautiful/ happy there we budgeted time to stay and enjoy the surroundings at the house. Lovely slanted light thru the windows, idyllic view out the living room and kitchen to the lake. 15 mins to redwoods and 10 to beach. We can’t wait to go again! It was a dream!

This place is EXCEPTIONAL!!!!! One of the nicest, quietest, cleanest places we've ever stayed!!!!! You will not be disappointed! It felt like HOME from the minute we walked in!!!!!! Thank you for an amazing escape from reality ❤️

Patty was an excellent host and went above and beyond to make our stay relaxing and fun! The hot tub was clean and the house was immaculate! All the little touches like snacks, coffee, and even replacement toiletries in case you forgot yours really enhanced the experience. She literally has anything you might need for enjoying the beach. Or spending time in the backyard. The beach and park are within easy walking distance and the neighborhood was safe and quiet.

This was an awesome experience! The tree house was exactly as described in the description. It's a beautiful place! The first mile and the driveway were the hardest aspects of the drive but manageable if you go slow. The middle 3.6 miles on the dirt road was fine. The conditions matched the description. I made it in a Suburu Crosstrek. If you are up for an adventure off grid, I highly recommend this option!

The Sustainable Ecovillage was quite the getaway destination! Very peaceful and mountainous. Would like very much to come back to stay in the treehouse or hobbit home! All of his rental spaces are very unique and charming. Dan was a very friendly host. Sadly Forest fires last fall scorched some of the area however noticed the regrowth beginning already in March!

This is the third time we've stayed at Susan's place. It's so cozy and feels like a home away from home. It's quiet and right by the ocean. Having the kitchen is a huge plus. We will definitely stay here again.

Well stocked kitchen and appliances. The kids loved the toys and the jacuzzi bathtub. Excellent location, only a short drive to the coast and redwoods. Unlike many other rentals in Crescent City, this house is outside of the tsunami hazard zones.

Paula’s Airbnb fit all of our families needs. It has a great view of the ocean. The house itself is a little older. It did have its quirks, but the kitchen is very nice and the furniture is modern and comfortable. The picture windows out front were fantastic, and there was a helpful binder with lots of tourist information. The kitchen was also well stocked, which was very handy.

Our stay was very quick and efficient. Patti’s place was perfect for what we needed. We had some issues starting the heater and using the TV but both things, we called and help came over right away and resolved the issues very fast.

A beautiful location. Truly perfectly centered and tucked away in the Redwoods. The perfect place if you’re looking to unplug! Outside of a couple cobwebs here and there (Completely normal considering it is located in the woods), this was a beautiful stay for me and my family! Highly recommend!

This place is beautiful. You are surrounded by very tall trees everywhere. You can hear the river flowing from inside the house making it a peaceful stay. You have the most beautiful panoramic view of the woods. If you want to disconnect to enjoy nature, this is the perfect place. The cabin is made up of very old redwood and you can smell it as you walk in. Very nostalgic. The directions on how to get to the Airbnb make it very easy to get to there. We just had to make sure we looked at the map and directions ahead of time because there is no reception getting there. We got to see many deers and birds on the surrounding areas. We were also greeted by a banana slug! The place itself is beautiful and Jim was the most friendliest and helpful host. He gave us info on the trails and walk to the river from the Airbnb. I will definitely try to come back again later this year.

Great location and nice place to stay with group of 10 people. The hot water in bathrooms is kind of serially available to all bathrooms so if at a time two bathrooms are in use, the hot water was not available to both or only one bathrooms. Other than hot water, we had blast and i would recommend this place to anyone or i would love to come back and stay here again.

This was the perfect home base for exploring the redwoods. And the view was spectacular. It was so peaceful to hear the waves crashing while relaxing in the evenings.

Super comfortable house in a fabulous location. We came for the redwoods but fully enjoyed the tide pools, crashing waves and watching sunsets from the porch.
