We have an area of open space including a living room and kitchen that is MASSIVE. It has 2 fireplaces. A gas fireplace in the living room and if you prefer wood there is a wood one in the kitchen. Uniquely, Timbuktu is also a small farm and is powered by an on-site solar system which is supplemented by other renewables. Timbuktu is a duplex with the owners living next door. This home’s location could not be better—it is nestled in the trees right on the lake and just steps aways from the ski hill allowing you to ski in and ski out! It was down a winding and hilly road that was easy to find with Marks instructions; I was grateful for the all wheel drive on our vehicle to get us there :) The house itself is also very impressive—it was beautiful, well constructed, clean and well stocked. Mark and his brother were super responsive and very friendly. We had a great stay!

Perfect location. Plenty of parking for our snowmobile trailer. We enjoyed being able to ride our sleds straight from the property to the trail. Convenient location to restaurants/entertainment. We had a little confusion figuring out what unit was ours but the host was helpful and responsive. My only complaint is the bed frames were more wobbly than we are used to. Otherwise our stay was wonderful. We would stay again!

The stay was perfect for a quiet getaway that we were looking for. The sunrise views were gorgeous. The cabin was very clean. We look forward to coming back again and hopefully for a longer stay. Scott was a great host and very flexible and we appreciated the hospitality.
