Beautiful cabin! We stayed during Christmas time there was a tree with lights and decor which made our stay so special. There is a lot of space, very clean and over all a warm comfy space. Any questions we had the host responded right away and would also check in to make sure our stay was going good. Will definitely be coming back!

Brand New: Deluxe 1 Bedroom Glamping Cabin

ChristineRating, 5 stars4 days ago
I’ve stayed at numerous hotels/airbnbs since my first solo trip to Yosemite 6 years ago, & Sierra Meadows is now my go-to after I booked my first stay. Easy, thorough & flexible check-in process, amazing/responsive staff, & has accommodations for any type of travel plans— whether it’s a solo-, couples, or friends/family trip. The site is such a win for so many reasons- they have their own store for essentials/food+drink & if that doesn’t work out, the grocery stores/restaurants are just 5 minutes down the main road for whatever else you need for your trip— **the selling point for me is that the entrance to Yosemite from this site is the iconic Tunnel View, it’s the most convenient, no-brainer site to book ever!!

Bass Lake-On the water!*Dock*high speed WiFi

NancyRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
The drive was beautiful and the house was easy to find. PLENTY of parking. Easy and convenient check in. The house was spacious and so comfortable. The game room was a plus. The laundry room awesome. The beds are so comfortable and PLENTY of space for my big family. The children absolutely love the game room. Bathrooms PLENTY. The backyard was a dream. Absolutely beautiful. The stairs to the dock were great. The dock was so much fun. My children went swimming even in the rain. The water was great. If you love fishing, there was plenty of fishes to catch. Location felt so private making it even more fun for music, dancing and karaoke outdoors. The backyard little bar near the dock was a bonus to hang out and watch the kids swim in the lake. I will definitely come back! You will not be disappointed with the house and it’s plenty of amenities and fun. Hiking trails 7 minutes away was awesome. Waterfalls were great. I love it!

We LOVE this cozy home right by the lake. It has everything you need! Great views and walking distance to a semi private beach area & dock. Yosemite Foothill Retreat - Private Guest Suite #3

BruceRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Very easy to find and enter the property. Everything that was provided was high quality. You could tell they took great care into thinking of everything you might need or want and provided it (at least for us all the little subtle touches were noticed) Very friendly hosts and thank you Sandra for the Taft Point recommendation. Quentin we did not see the bear, but I really wanted to LOL. Bella kept us welcomed on the courtyard. My wife really loved the courtyard, and we enjoyed eating our breakfast out there with Bella and one morning Bandit joined. Very comfortable room and one of the nicest places we have stayed in a very long time. Oh and my wife also enjoyed the varied and wide choices of tea. Plus I liked the flavored creams in the fridge for my coffee. I am really trying not to forget anything we just really enjoyed our stay and wished we had longer

-Bass Lake-Yosemite Comfy Dog Friendly Home

AndresRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Martins place was great. Close to Yosemite as well as some really nice local hikes and waterfalls Martin told us about. The house was super spacious and had a very homey feel to it with some cozy cabin vibes. There was ping pong and giant connect 4 for the kids as well as some other games, everything we could need to cook including hot sauces for days, and gourmet coffee maker with grinder. For the adults. Bathrooms were spotless and pipes never froze like they have in some of our previous mountain rentals when the temperature hit the teens.

Cottage Like Suite With Private Hot Tub

ChristopherRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This place is absolutely fabulous with a lake view! We were greeted by Ben, who was wonderful and gave us the white glove walk through of the unit and the areas. The location is the best. It’s within 2 min walk of everything you need (grocery store, souvenir shop, restaurants, bar). The locals here are extremely friendly. The unit is equipped with a fireplace and hot tub, great for nighttime hangouts. Enjoy your cup of coffee on the front porch. Tom, the owner, is so impressive, he is a local for 30+ year building his business which includes this Airbnb and boat rentals and restaurants/bars. Helping to support the community and hiring incredible people to run it all. Highly recommend you rent a boat if you stay her, you get 10% off. We loved it so much, we are already planning our next trip here!

Wonderful!!! Clean, spacious, so comfortable. Loved having coffee on the front porch in the morning listening to the ducks, geese and turkeys. The donkeys and cows came right up to us, we loved it! The hosts provided lots of helpful info that made our arrival and stay so easy. The drive to the Yosemite entrance was about an hour. We really enjoyed this peaceful place and were sad when it was time to leave. Highly recommend!

Your guide to Bass Lake

All About Bass Lake

Regarded as one of the best fishing lakes in the Sierra Nevada, five-mile-long Bass Lake attracts anglers from all over California for its abundance of Kokanee salmon, trout, and catfish. Located 3.5 hours’ drive east of San Francisco and an hour north of Fresno, the lake is also a magnet for water sports enthusiasts: water skiing, wakeboarding, and kayaking are all on the menu here, as is swimming in the lovely, shallow coves.

Surrounded by pine forests, Bass Lake is also popular for hiking and mountain biking. The Mono Trail is a short loop to the top of a rock with a panorama of the lake. The five-mile-return hike to Goat Mountain Fire Lookout is more challenging, but it rewards with spectacular views. The three-mile Willow Creek Trail takes you to Angel Falls, a delightful swimming spot.

Bass Lake is a gateway to Yosemite National Park, just 30 minutes’ drive to the south entrance and the iconic Tunnel View. The park is full of magical adventures, including the journey to Glacier Point for expansive vistas of Yosemite Valley, the hike through the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias, or the Mist Trail with its cool spray from Vernal and Nevada Falls.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Bass Lake

Summers are a great time to stay in one of the many cabins and rental homes in Bass Lake. Expect plenty of warm days and balmy nights for fun on the water. Every Friday in summer, the Bass Lake Live Summer Concert Series brings local musicians to the lake. In the fall, the temperatures drop, as do the crowds, but the weather is still mild — and the changing colors are spectacular. Bass Lake Halloween and Fall Carnival is a popular event in October with carnival rides, pumpkin carving, music, and games, plus a beer garden. Spring is a vibrant time to visit as the sun is shining and flowers are blooming. In winter, snowfall turns Bass Lake into a wonderland, with cross-country skiing and fat-tire mountain biking. Yosemite National Park also has a small ski area for downhill skiing and snowboarding.
