Tony is a great host! He is very accommodating and his home was exactly as described. It’s located in a safe neighborhood, close to downtown Wilmington and the beach. We recommend this place!

Always a joy being at this cottage! My week of solitude . . . very comfy, the ocean, rockers on the porch, wonderful sea breeze, being able to walk out the door and practically hit the sand is so worth it! Love it and I plan to book again for next year!

Eric and Maxwell are exceptional hosts. The house was perfect for me, my husband and our dogs. They loved playing in the backyard and being able to walk or drive to the beach was great. The house is super cozy and exactly like the pictures. Eric and Maxwell responded quickly to any messages I sent and were gracious enough to reimburse us for the wasp spray we bought, which wasn't necessary at all :) Definitely recommend staying at the House of Zen if you are in Oak Island.

This was the perfect vacation spot for the beach! My fiance and I loved the relaxing days and walking distance to anything. Definitely recommend!!

Could not have found a more perfect home for the family.. all amenities came in handy. between the pool table, basketball hoop, jacuzzi and the pool everyone really enjoyed coming together. the house was very spacious and very well put together. would definitely rent again if in the area.

The house was beautiful and had everything we needed for comfort. We used every deck! Super close to the beach, beautiful peaceful view of the sound. It had everything we could possibly need. Karen sent recommendations for food and they did not disappoint! Loved our stay!

The house was clean and exactly as described. The neighborhood was quiet and a short drive away from restaurants, shops and the beach. It was a comfortable and enjoyable stay for our family and dog. The only problem (and it was very minor) was two of the bedroom tvs didn’t work right- Fire TV program had glitches. But the living room TV worked great. But be SURE to log out because the guests who stayed before us didn’t and we had to log out for them. A dishonest person couldn’t cost them money on movie rentals. We would definitely stay again.

Great location, and a great time. Backyard with pool is perfect with plenty of room for activities and entertaining. You can walk to the beach and restaurants within minutes.

We had a wonderful weekend stay with family at this beautiful home. We loved spending time at the beach and then coming home relaxing by the pool. Having pool towels provided was a great bonus! Alex and Lexi were very responsive and reassuring when we reached out about a few cleaning issues we noticed. Overall, it was a great experience — highly recommend if you're looking for a relaxing weekend getaway with a pool!

Great host. Clean. Good location. Travelers should know that this is basically a motel room with a stove. The location makes it worth the extra money you would pay rather than staying in a hotel in Wilmington for a lower price.

Cottage 3 is located in the back of property and has a small fenced yard where you can let the dogs use the bathroom. Be aware other guests may also use the yard which takes away some of the privacy as it’s about 15ft away from your door. Perfect location, you never really need your car as you are within a 5-10 minute walk to the boardwalk. The space is fine for 2 adults and 2 dogs, if you will mostly be out and about. It was perfect for our beach trip 👍

Loved the Bow Wow Beach Bungalow. The location was an easy walk to the beach and the house and yard were very dog friendly. Household supplies were generous. Connie and Marty were very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely be returning!

James was a great host. He accommodated our early check in request and was friendly and welcoming. The house was clean upon arrival. The location was great, just a short walk or drive to the boardwalk. James was very friendly and offered us additional accommodations for our car/golf cart. Great place to stay!
