Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Sugarloaf Key

Sharon was an excellent host that answered any of our questions promptly. The place was even better than what the photos showed. Comfortable enough for 7 people to stay for a long weekend. We didn't use the pool, but it was nice to have the option. Easy to get into the gated community, and we didn't struggle to find parking with our rental car. Easy to get to many different popular spots around Key West with rideshare. Convenient to have some convenience stores like CVS within walking distance, and a Publix not too far via car. Only thing I would improve is having more toilet paper and hand soap refills in each bathroom, especially with 7 people staying over a long weekend.

Stayed here multiple times and we love it here, such a beautiful home with everything you need! Even had manatees visit us at the dock! Can’t wait to return to marathon and hope to stay here again!

We will be back! We loved it! Clean, comfortable with lots of room. We loved being able to keep our boat behind the house and the trailer in the driveway. We loved walking around Keys Colony. The Cabana Club and Sparkys Restaurant were both within walking distance. The kitchen had every gadget you could imagine. The dining table was perfect for dinners and card playing. The beds were comfy. No allergies whatsoever! Thank you so much!!

We loved our stay! The house was super clean and the back patio was beautiful. We loved the back canal area and saw lots of very cool wildlife and enjoyed fishing right there. Having the kayaks to use was also great. Beds were very comfy and the rooms were spacious. The house had everything we needed. We loved the key colony area. The cabana club was a great space and the house is in walking distance to Sunset Beach, which was beautiful. The whole area is super close to fun things to do and great restaurants. We would absolutely stay here again!

This was an awesome home for our family of 4 + dog. We felt right at home for the week! The pool was perfectly warm, and the kids had so much fun playing by the dock. We rented a pontoon boat and were able to dock it easily. Honestly, we hardly used the other amenities in the home because the weather was so nice, but if it rained we probably would have loved the game room too! Overall this was a great home for our family. The neighborhood isn’t super walkable, but the grocery store was just down a little footpath, allowing us to walk to get groceries as needed. Loved this!

We didn't know anything about Key Colony so based our reservation strictly on reviews and price. Well worth every penny that was spent. What a wonderful tropical getaway! Can't wait to visit the Keys again with my 4 children and husband. If you're looking for a great place to spread out and enjoy family this should be your rental.

Great location. Some of the best restaurants / cafes/ eateries are available within walking distance. From the beginning we were impressed with airport shuttle service and holding our luggage. They were very accommodating to our needs. Communication was top notch. All in all, walking distance to all the nearby historical attractions like the Hemingway House, and Key West lighthouse. Also conveniently located near the Southernmost Point and local beaches . . Plenty of places to rent scooters or bicycles nearby. Definitely the best way to get around the island. If you cherish quiet, this may not be the place for you, however. because you can hear the adjacent units when they open and close doors, music from the nearby venue, and noise from the street below.

We had a wonderful time staying at Tim’s place! He was an excellent host who was always available if I had a question. The house is in a beautiful location. We enjoyed sitting on and fishing off the dock. The house had everything we needed for a fantastic stay and a very enjoyable vacation. I can’t say enough good things about our experience at the home. We were able to meet Tim and he was a lovely host. Thank you for a great vacation! We hope to come back in the future!

What a great find! Everything we needed was there! Quick walk to everywhere: beach, Duval street fun, restaurants and grocery store. So glad we went with this air bnb and not the hotel we normally go to. Saved so much money. Loved the privacy!

Loved our stay here! Very private pool and the tiki bar/outside ice maker, was amazing. The house was clean and comfortable with the most comfortable beds ever! The only down side was the location for boating. The dock was excellent and the trip to the 7 mile bridge to fish was conveniently close, however, to do any ocean boating or fishing, the distance thru the sailboat/houseboat harbor was long and we encountered some not so friendly types through there. Over all, to stay and enjoy the privacy of the canal and pool, this was top notch!!!

The house was spacious and clean, and we got good use out of the pool and hot tub. Bert requires signing a separate contract after booking on AirBnB, but worked with us to tailor the language. Towels are provided but be prepared to bring most other amenities like shampoo, etc yourself. Also, be aware that Sunrise Drive is a private road and you cannot access the beach there - Sombrero Beach is about a 15 minute walk, but definitely worth the walk!

Our stay at this cozy Airbnb was absolutely wonderful! The space was filled with so many thoughtful and adorable details — everywhere we looked, there was something that made it feel extra special. It really felt like a mini retreat. Heathermarie was incredible — so friendly, accommodating, and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. She even let us check in early, which made a huge difference for us. Her hospitality was truly next level. I can’t recommend this place enough — if you’re looking for a charming spot with a host who genuinely cares, this is it. We can’t wait to come back!

We stayed at Frank’s place for two weeks and had an absolutely amazing time! The house was spotless, well-equipped, and super practical for our two energetic little ones. The pool and hot tub were perfect. We made the most of every sunset soaking in the hot tub, followed by peaceful late-night floats in the pool under clear, starry skies. We fished off the jetty most days and caught barracuda, mangrove snapper, plenty of sharks—and the neighbors even hooked a tarpon and landed a grouper! The kids loved snorkeling right off the dock, spotting rays, turtles, and loads of colorful fish. We missed the manatees when they came by one morning, but luckily caught up with them later while kayaking through the mangroves. Huge thanks to Frank for being such a fantastic host. One day we had a small issue with the pool, and his team showed up in under 10—absolutely amazing service. We truly didn’t want to leave and would come back in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!

We all loved the house. Plenty of space, the outdoor patios were a daily hangout, the views were great, what's not to love. The maintenance of the house itself was excellent and it didn't feel like a "rental". Well decorated, not worn down, a bathroom for everyone, it was great. We rented a golf cart to get back and forth from town which was very easy and barely a ten minute drive. We did have a small issue with the pool while there, which apparently is very unusual. It is Key West so it took a few days to get the parts needed. However, Javier was always easy to reach and while he did eventually fix it it was his 'out of the box' thinking and communication on everything that was superbly professional. I understand he manages several properties and we would gladly stay at any of them. With an AirBNB, if something goes wrong and you're far from home all you have to rely on is the owner/manager and you are in excellent hands with Javier. A++ on customer service

This was a cute little place in a gated complex. It was well decorated to feel like a Key West getaway and a great place for sibs get-together. We liked the quiet, but be aware you will need to drive to get to Key West.

This was the most perfect Airbnb for our vacation. First of all, Marathon is the perfect location if you are looking to explore multiple parts of the Keys. 1 hour to Key Largo, 1 hour to Key West. We could not have asked for a better location. The home looks just like the photos and was perfect for our family of 4 + our pup. The beds were comfortable, the living space had plenty of room for our crew, but the real show stopper was the pool. If we weren't out and about exploring the Keys, we were definitely in/by the pool! A few added bonuses: (1) K-cups for our use for that first morning. This kept us from having to worry about an emergency grocery store trip the evening of our arrival (2) pool floats available for our use (3) bikes & kayaks for everyone (4) EVERYTHING. We couldn't have asked for better - we will definitely be back!

We had the perfect vacation! Love the location and the amenities of Key Colony Beach. The place was great for relaxing. I only wish we brought our dog..

Our stay at this home was absolutely perfect! The location couldn’t have been better—peaceful, relaxing, and right on the water. We spent so much time unwinding on the dock, soaking in the beautiful views and enjoying the gentle ocean breeze. The Marathon area was a fantastic place to explore, offering everything we needed for an unforgettable getaway. We loved being close to state parks for hiking and wildlife spotting, as well as having access to amazing restaurants serving fresh seafood. Bike rentals were nearby, making it easy to explore the area at a leisurely pace. If you’re looking for the perfect blend of relaxation and adventure, this is the place to be!

This hideaway was just what we were looking for. The space is tight, but there are inventive storage solutions to help . The private hot tub was really nice. Would stay again if back in Key West.

We felt at home at Joe’s house! Check in/check out directions were simple and easy. The house was clean with plenty of extra linens. Its location was ideal! Definitely would stay at Joe’s again!

This little studio apartment in big pine is PERFECT for a couple for a few days or week. We loved the big windows on 3 sides, with a great view of sunset & the marsh. We also loved the private and spacious balcony that has a view of sunrise. It is very peaceful and quiet, with the deer coming by every morning and evening. There is no kitchen (which was fine with us) but there is a coffee pot and 2 mugs. The bathroom is roomy for a studio and has closet space available. The sunset view from this place honestly was my favorite part of our trip. I would stay here again if I traveled to the keys in the future.

We truly enjoyed our stay. Gail was very communicative and the house had everything we needed to relax and enjoy our time. We saw some manatees from the dock, iguanas, and of course fish. Friendly quiet neighborhood, grocery store close by.

Excellent location in town. Nice clean home on a beautiful canal. Good for fishing. Recommend more toilet paper and front door is very hard to lock.
