Family-friendly vacation rentals in Santeetlah Lake

Gorgeous views, great location, the hot water was actually hot (unlike other Airbnb’s I’ve stayed in), the hot tub was ready to go, the host left us snacks. It was just such a wonderful experience. We will be coming back. If I had to pick ANY cons, I’d be really reaching. You are one of four yurts (we didn’t realize we would have “neighbors” but it’s set up in such a way that you still have privacy.). Also, you are close to the road so occasionally you will hear cars, but the sound of the river much overpowers that. Plan for no reception; we were fine with that. We plan to come back again with 2 more couples. I will definitely miss falling asleep to the sound of the river Now, what I wish I would have known as a car geek - we accidentally went through Tail of the Dragon on the way there. Had no idea it was here. Was sad to have a big ole SUV riding that instead of my sports car! Plan accordingly. :)

The place was clean and well stocked inside the home. Probably one of the most well stocked Airbnb I've ever rented. Had a complementary bottle of wine left for us which was nice. The kitchen was especially well stocked with spices and cookware. Grill was a good gas grill and there was plenty of gas stocked. Has fantastic views. Hot tub was really nice. It was dog friendly which is always a plus. Beds were comfortable, sheets were clean. Porch upstairs definitely needs work, so something to keep in mind, especially with kids running around. All in all it was a great place and fantastic stay for our visit. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a private relaxing stay in the mountains.

We had a great time at Greg's place, as always. The home was very clean, and the location is perfect. The hot tub, creek, and fire pit are always highlights of our trip. Kitchen is well stocked, and there's plenty of towels. Highly recommend staying here!

It was a much needed weekend away at an amazing place. The location was the best especially if you were going to Ober at all because it is right around the corner. It was very peaceful even though you had people close. The sound of the water from across the street made it even more relaxing if you love the sound of water. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay and we will definitely be back again.

We loved it here! Plenty of space for us and the dog to relax and soak in the mountains! I highly recommend the horse ride! Even for beginners! Great stay overall for the family!

An unforgettable experience, everything was beautiful, waking up in the morning and seeing the deer around the cabin, the sunsets on the balcony, in short, our experience was magical, Amy was very attentive and explained everything in detail, no problems in the cabin, everything was clean, the kitchen was well equipped, and the rooms were very comfortable with everything ready, I definitely want to come back! Woodlands 1 made for a lovely stay for a Mother’s Day weekend getaway! The location is peaceful and secluded, surrounded by trees and nature—and soaking it the hot tub was exactly what we needed to relax and recharge after days exploring nearby sites. The cabin itself was clean and thoughtfully stocked. We also loved the little touches like the gas fireplace and blankets on the rocking chairs on the deck. Debi was incredibly welcoming and responsive, sending helpful directions to support the easy check-in process. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a quiet retreat. We’re already planning our next visit!

It was a great place to celebrate our daughter's graduation and make new memories with family. The cabin was clean and well equipped, and the magnificent views topped off the experience!

Perfect location for Dragon goers. A great split between remote and still close to town. Unit is well equipped for a multiple day stay. The car port was great for keeping my car covered and a good flat surface. Hosts are super friendly and respectful.

Place was extremely clean,close to main st highlands but far enough away to be quiet, Becky responded within a few minutes, had a fantastic time in highlands and surrounding area,we travel to highlands often, first time using a airbnb loved it!!Becky's a great host to work with.

Our stay was fantastic! The location was beautiful and the home was clean and very comfortable! We quickly felt at home. Jeff was very clear on instructions, everything worked as it was supposed to, and he was responsive to any questions! It was a great way to embrace the smoky mountains with a little less tourism and traffic. My only recommendation if you book this location, make sure you have 4-wheel drive or a sturdy car, the very last bit of the drive was a little bumpy (but that’s expected in the mountains!). It was a great stay and would 10/10 recommend to friends or return for a future visit!

Everything was wonderful! It’s was a peaceful weekend getaway that we were looking for. Parking is a little tight if you have a bigger vehicle, and the shower is small. Overall would be back!

This was our second time staying here, the first time was three years ago to date. When we arrived it felt like we had never left. It was so relaxing and so peaceful! Cathy was amazing and the small issue we had was resolved within the hour! We will definitely be coming back in the future!

Great place, walking distance to some of the big attractions in Gatlinburg and the strip.

my family and I enjoyed this Airbnb. this was my first experience with booking Airbnb and Steve is amazing! we will be back for future trips. the house is incredible, considering it's in the mountains lots of places around us did not have parking, but there is a long driveway where you can maneuver comfortably. incredibly thankful we found Steve and his beautiful home!
