Just booked in Belvedere Tiburon, Marin County

This a bright and airy lower unit full apartment with a open kitchen living area and separate bedroom and bathroom. You have garden views and your own private entrance. There is a small kitchen with a microwave, 2 ring burner and fridge. This apartment is down two flights of stairs and may not be suitable for people with mobility issues.
This is a separate apartment consisting of a queen size bedroom, kitchen/living room and private bathroom with a shower. This unit has a separate entrance so there is lots of privacy. It is newly remodeled and has a queen bed with a new european pillow top mattress, flat screen tv, wifi, ipod dock. I leave your kitchen stocked with tea, coffee, milk and breakfast items to get you started. The kitchen is brand new and has a refrigerator and microwave. There is a wall of windows/french doors so there is lots of light. There is also a washer and dryer in this unit. There is an aero bed and all the associated linens for an extra/third person. There is street parking and no permits needed. There is often a spot directly opposite the car deck. There is another unit above this one. I always ask guest in the upper unit to remove shoes, and be mindful that noise can carry. Sausalito is really a fishing village and is twinned with Portofino, Italy - you get the picture. There are great restaurants 3 blocks away with.. - Cafe Divino - italian and live music - Plate Shop - cocktails and american cuisine - Sartaj - locals pit stop - amazing indian food - Cibo - great coffee and breakfast - Bocce - pizza and bocce ball on the waterfront There is a quaint town with cute stores and lots of hike and bike rides. I have a whole list of attractions and rental outlets that I will leave for you in your room. - take the ferry to the city - paddle board around the bay - hike mount tam - bike to Tiburon and have lunch on the harbor at Sams - walk to Mill Valley and lunch at The Depot in the village square This house is unique in that it was built on the site of Sausalitos water tower so it is 22 steps down from street level and has a private walled garden. Just so you know, I have a small 12lb dog called Mocha. He is curious and checks the property for raccoon damage each morning so you may see him. Careful he's a lover! This property is only available for short term rentals of 30 days or more as per Sausalito short term rental laws.
  • We really enjoyed our stay here. The apartment was just like pictured in the photos. Tanyia was very responsive to communications during the stay and a great host. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchenette had what we needed to prepare quick breakfasts.

  • Such a cozy place to stay. Bed was very comfortable and nice to have the extra space in the living room. Taniya responded right away. Very easy to book.

    Kathleen2015-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • It is a charming apartment in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. There was a little issue with the WIFI but Tanyja was super helpful and fixed the problem quick.

  • Sausalito was beautiful and the apartment was very nice. Highly recommended!

  • A lovely peaceful location up in the hills of beautiful Sausalito. We had a very comfortable stay and had everything we needed. Thank you!

    Lara2015-04-11T00:00:00Z
  • Staying in Tanyia's lower level apartment was a real treat. We were in Sausalito to enjoy the close proximity to outdoor activities in the area and went hiking around Mt. Tamalpais and Stinson Beach. The apartment is tucked away into the hills and is therefore very quiet, but it's also easy to get into downtown Sausalito by foot. The apartment itself was very good, light filled, quiet and clean and we would definitely stay there again. Tanyia was always helpful and quick to answer any kind of questions.

    Ute2014-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment is beautiful - and you truly do feel as though you're sleeping in trees. Tanyia adds many extra touches which make it special (the wine and chocolates and fruit when we arrived). The apartment was spotlessly clean, filled with everything we needed and a few extras too! It's also in a beautiful spot - just a short walk down the hill to the ferry and the shops and restaurants in Sausalito. On the negative - I have to agree with other reviews that the place is unfortunately let down by the noise from upstairs. We were woken at 4.30am by the neighbours walking on the wooden flooring and by conversations and tv. It was just everyday noise so just a lack of soundproofing rather than noisy people. It was really disappointing as it made our stay less relaxing than it could have been and every other aspect of the place was great.

    Katherine2014-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • Very wonderful & comfortable place Everything is perfect! I hope to stay again

Amazing views and great light and only 10-15 min walk to Tiburon Ferry, so easy access to San Francisco You’ll love the comfy queen size bed, the private bath, the coziness, the light the zen like feel of the room, and of course, the views. Other amenities include tennis court and swimming pool.
This quiet room looks out on to a beautiful rock waterfall, that provides zen like serenity to the room. It gets great morning light. There are great views of the bay off deck, living room, and kitchen. Enjoy the provided continental breakfast (included) on the deck looking at the amazing vies, or watching the sunset with a glass of wine on the deck .
  • Wow. What an airbnb. Just outside the city but very close by ferry which is easy (15m walk), quick (like 20-30m to pier 41) and cheap (11.5$). And the view is amazing. It realy is like the south of France. And then the host is the most friendly guy you'll ever meet. He showed us where to go and not to go, had great inside info and was always available. The place is very easy to get to, beautiful, clean and safe. You won't find a better airbnb in San Francisco.

  • Delfino's place in Tiburon was just beautiful! The view can't be beat. It was a quiet and lovely place to return to after exploring San Francisco each day. There is also a nearby bus route that goes to Sausalito and on to Muir Woods. Delfino was a gracious and considerate host.

    Ruthanne2017-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Delfino is a friendly and gracious host who made me feel welcome and at home. His beautiful apartment was warm, inviting, and immaculate, and my stay was a wonderful experience from start to finish. All communication was prompt and courteous, and Delfino thought of everything I could possibly need for a delightful stay. The view from his dining room and deck is spectacular. I enjoyed coffee on the deck in the morning, and a glass of wine on the deck in the evening gazing out at the beautiful sunset. Delfino provided a nice selection of breakfast items each morning along with coffee. I appreciated all his wonderful hospitality and thoughtful touches, and enjoyed my stay immensely. Staying with Delfino was such a treat – I’ll definitely be back! Thank you for everything, Delfino!

A peaceful contemporary home perched over the blue waters of the Bay-- plus a 1 bedroom apartment. The stunning architecture has been featured on HGTV shows and several magazines. Walk the historic streets or to downtown Tiburon & ferry to SF. Enjoy views of the Bay, Angel Island, Tiburon & the Bay Bridge.
The house is perched on a hillside nearly overhanging the Bay. The top floor is a large, open Great Room with a large kitchen, dining room, sitting area and living room (with wood burning fireplace and all the electronics you need). The entire room (and nearly all of the house) overlooks the Bay, Tiburon, Angel Island and the Bay Bridge. You can watch seals hunt from the comfort of the cozy window seats. An Asian-inspired den opens up onto the large, secluded outdoor deck (with BBQ and large, sectional seating area). The chest is filled with board games for the whole family. Take the beautiful staircase down to the lower level where there are 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and an office. The master suite is complete with an ensuite bath, large walk-in closet, private office and incredible views. The windows in the master bath frost over with the flick of a switch, alternating between privacy and wall-to-wall views of the Bay. Outside the master suite is a secluded, deep cedar hot tub on a deck overlooking the Bay. Stairs lead down to the street below, providing easy access to downtown Tiburon, with its shops and restaurants, and the ferry to San Fransisco. The ferry is great if you need to be in San Francisco but want a little more privacy or quiet relaxation- commute home, past the Golden Gate Bridge while drinking a glass of wine! The house has a hill hiker elevator that takes you from the garage to the main level if you don't want to take the steps. The kids love it! We have membership at a swim and tennis club (the Tiburon Peninsula Club) several blocks away. We can obtain guest access for your family while you visit, if you'd like to use the pools, tennis courts, clubhouse, workout rooms and restaurant. This requires a nominal additional fee. We are very close to the San Francisco Yacht Club and the Corinthian Yacht Club. If you're a sailor, you can crew during Friday night races. Both clubs have reciprocal rights for visiting members from other clubs.
Belvedere Island (now connected to the Tiburon Peninsula) is a beautiful, rocky island filled with historic former summer homes of wealthy San Franciscans. The streets, designed for horse carriages, are narrow and windy. Stairs connect them, running straight up the steep hillside. Views abound everywhere. You can walk from our home into downtown Tiburon. There are several restaurants, wine bars and shops to enjoy. There's a large grocery store and drug store within walking distance as well. There's a great park and playground several blocks from the house. There are several Sunday concerts in the park during the summer months. Summers in Belvedere are beautiful, especially compared to San Francisco, which can be cold and foggy. There may be fog in the early morning but it clears off quickly, leaving you with blue skies and warm, but mild weather. There are no bugs even in the summer! You can walk to great hiking trails from the house. Walk to the top of the Tiburon Peninsula and have 360 degree views of the Bay, 3 bridges and San Francisco. There's a great bike path that starts near the house and runs for several miles towards the town of Mill Valley. There's a section on the road before you pick up the next section, which runs almost all the way to San Francisco, passing over the Golden Gate Bridge. It's about 20 miles to the city by bike (but only 5 miles if you're a good swimmer!) The two yacht clubs (San Francisco and Corinthian) are nearby. The Ferry to San Francisco is a ten minute walk from the house. It's a quiet, incredibly peaceful setting a short ferry ride or 20 minute drive from San Francisco. And, it has much better weather than the city!
  • It was a remarkable home in some many ways- the architecture, the views, the sound systems, and so much more. Kitchen was very updated and easy to cook in. The neighborhood was a delight to walk through with all the history and character of the houses.

  • We stayed a week in Vincent's house and it was an extraordinary experience -- on every level -- the architecture, floors, windows, furnishings, lighting, bathrooms, master bedroom, and a perfectly set up office which we used. The views are simply gorgeous. Every morning before the sun came up I sat in the window seat with my coffee and watched the sun come up -- lighting Angel Island and the bay. Further, the neighborhood is lush with exquisite fauna and flora. Vincent is patient, helpful and amazing as he remodeled this elegant, comfortable welcoming home -- all of which says a great deal about Vincent and his wife.

  • The house was fantastic! Location was great and an easy walk to town. The owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome and make sure we had everything we needed while we were there. The book that they have put together on the house was incredibly helpful, particularly given the high end A/V equipment in the house.

  • Great house, amazing view, very clean and comfortable. All info provided in the house for local knowledge. Would unreservedly recommend Vince's house.

  • For those who have never been to this part of Northern California, the Tiburon-Belvedere area is very special. This house is absolutely awesome! The home sits up high in the hills of Belvedere with magnificent views of Tiburon bay and the San Francisco Yacht Club. The house is beautifully furnished and very comfortable with lots of open space throughout. We were pleasantly surprised to find the house fully stocked with virtually everything we needed for our 17-day stay. Vince and Amanda, the owners, were very pleasant to deal with and readily available to help with any questions we had or minor issues we encountered. We are now back home in NY in 19 degree weather and dreaming of this beautiful house in Belvedere- we can't wait to come back!

  • What pleasant surprise! Prior to our arrival, we had a schedule change of one day later. Not only did Bente (our host) accommodate the change she also got us a refund from Air BnB for the one day. Upon arrival we were amazed by the views. Located off of Tiburon Road overlooking the Bay, we had a spectacular view of Sausalito, Mill Valley, San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge, right from our front porch. Waiting for us inside was a clean and lovely 3 room BnB as advertised. The fridge was stocked with coffee, snacks and a bottle of champagne with 2 chilled glasses. Classy! The king sized bed and BnB were comfy with enough space for quiet times. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking with pots pans and appliances. This was my first Air BnB experience and it was a good one. Thank you Bente for the lovely accommodations, we plan on visiting again sometime soon. Dennis

  • Bente and Bill were tremendous hosts, they even had a nice little surprise waiting for us when we checked in. They couldn't have made the process any easier from checking in to checking out. The property was clean and exactly as described with more than the essential necessities that we would have expected. Overall made for the perfect getaway for me and my wife.

  • The Sanctuary was a wonderful place to rest and relax in beautiful Tiburon. It is both cozy and picturesque! Bente was very accessible and accommodating on all fronts. I hope to stay again on my next visit and would highly recommend others staying there too.

  • Beautiful decorated and spotlessly clean place. It was a delight to stay in such a lovely sunny spot with beautiful views. The bed was the most comfortable we have ever had in an Airbnb experience! There was also treats, milk, good coffee and a bottle of bubbles provided - such a nice touch and much appreciated. Bente was great to deal with and very accommodating and helpful. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

  • This is a lovely place, close to several towns to explore, close to great restaurants and a wonderful walking/running path. I love the Tiberon area and you will appreciate the location. The bedding and comfort is wonderful. Bill and Bente are great hosts.

  • The studio apartment was lovely....clean and efficient. The location was beautiful....water view. Close to the downtown....and very accessible to driving into San Francisco. Also, close by to my daughter's home in Belvedere. I definitely intend to stay here again.

  • The Sanctuary by the Bay is just that... a sanctuary by the Bay. My wife and I spent the first week of our married life in this perfect getaway just north of San Fransisco and loved every moment of it! It had everything we wanted(URL HIDDEN)view, a big king-sized bed, enough space to feel homey, a quiet retreat from the big city... literally everything. They even left a bottle of champagne for us!! We got a little cold one night (the thermostat is controlled in the main house) and they brought an additional space heater first thing in the morning. Communication was excellent too. If we're ever back in the Bay area... we'd love to stay there again!

  • We had a very comfortable stay at Brenda's apartment in Sausalito! The beds were excellent, we slept very well - the twin bed was even big enough for a 6'2" man! The kitchen was sufficient for cooking a nice family meal, although it would have been nice to have a few staples provided as in other rentals we've stayed in before (like salt, pepper, sugar, etc.). Laundry and wifi worked perfectly, and we had no issues parking (the street was indeed easier than the garage!). The location was good and it's a great base for exploring Marin Co. Thanks for the nice and convenient stay!

    Carolyn2015-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • Comfortable beds, nice view from balcony. Good breakfast at Fred's Diner nearby.

    Diana2017-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent location with a 10 - 15 min walk to the ferry raking you to San Francisco. Apartment as described in the pictures, perfect for a family of 4, perhaps only remark is that the bathroom is a bit small oTher then that perfect location and value.

    Spiros2017-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great location with an easy walk to nice shops, plus a fantastic view and easy access to the Marin Headlands. Brenda was very communicative and helpful, wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

  • Home was comfortable and convenient as described. Location was perfect. House was clean and quiet.

  • A great little apartment with a nice view of the bay. Was perfect for what we needed--a short stay with our 1.5yr old. Comfy beds, walkable to downtown (and to the ferry), enough kitchen stuff to make brekky for the baby. Best thing was sitting on deck at end of day and winding down. Lovely.

Three bedroom, two baths in an magical, unique and luxurious setting, with easy access to the City and Country.
One of the world's most spectacular homes is now available as a vacation rental. This is the American equivalent of renting a castle in Spain or an ancient stone villa in Tuscany. Yet with the luxury and conveniences of a five star hotel. The SS City of Seattle (Yellow Ferry) was originally launched in 1888. She is the oldest surviving ferryboat on the West Coast. The Ferry combines luxury and convenience in a spectacular and memorable setting. Surrounded by open water, she is simply the best houseboat in the best berth. Suitable for couples, or families, the Yellow Ferry offers the vacation experience of a lifetime. The rental suite on the Yellow Ferry is over 2,500 square feet. One enters the Ferry into an open great room that is over 1,000 square ft, but divided into separate areas for dining and lounging. Surrounded by floor to ceiling windows looking out to the bay, the main room is both spacious and intimate. The original deck consists of three-inch thick, virgin Douglas Fir, inlaid with Teak. You will quickly find there is a timeless and soothing quality to being surrounded by 120 year old wooden timbers and beams. Off the living room is huge solarium, surrounded by glass doors. Here you can sit or dine feeling like you are perched over the water, looking at panoramic views of the Bay, the sailboats and Mt. Tamalpais. The solarium is connected the living room via four large sliding doors, which can be opened all the way to make it an extension of the living room. The carpeted master bedroom features a new, California King bed. Water level views allow you a birds eye connection with the egrets, mallards and harbor seals. Large walk-in closets add to the feeling of luxury. The expansive master bathroom also has bay views and and a tub and walk-in shower. Down below, the other two bedrooms also have views right above waterline, where seals and waterfowl can swim up and eyeball you. The kitchen has been remodeled with a an extraordinary Wolf six-burner range, with a gas grill and huge oven. The set up is perfect for gourmet meals or reheating your leftovers from one of the many excellent local restaurants. The kitchen is abundantly stocked with all the necessary pots, pans, utensils and appliances. There is a full table setting for 10 and uncharacteristically for a rental, all the knives have been freshly sharpened. The float containing all watercraft is right off the back deck, providing easy access to the three kayaks and three stand-up paddle boards. The Ferry is conveniently located between the natural beauty of the northern coast and the cosmopolitan charms of San Francisco. You can attend almost any event in the City and be home at the Ferry before you would find a parking place in San Francisco. A small library adjacent to the kitchen is stocked with and iPad and with books and tip and local attractions. The Ferry has high speed wireless. For water activities, the home is also supplied with a rowboat, two kayaks and two stand-up paddle boards. Surfboards, boogie boards and fins are also available. There are an infinite variety of diversions to be found within a 30-minute drive of the boat. But often the best thing to do is simply sit by the bay with a good book, occasionally looking up to see the harbor seals or migrating waterfowl. The same couple that owns the marina owns the Ferry. We live next door and can be there to assist with any of your questions. Please be aware that when then you stay on a houseboat, you are a guest in a close-knit community of fellow house boaters. These homeowners have chosen to live on the water because of a shared love of nature and a considerate community. It is essential that you respect the community rights to peace and privacy and conduct your residency the same, as you would expect from a next-door neighbor. One other caveat. The ferry is reserved for registered guests and overnight usage. We regret it is not available as an event space for weddings or other large gatherings. For further information view our (EMAIL HIDDEN) (URL HIDDEN)
The Sausalito houseboat community is like no other in North America. You will enjoy walking the different the different docks and seeing many styles of houseboats that go from the ramshackle to million dollar palaces. (Of course you are staying on the most prominent.) Everybody is very friendly. However, like anyplace else, you should be respectful of quiet and privacy.
  • My family had a wonderful time staying on the Yellow Ferryboat. It was a unique experience. Being on the water was very peaceful. Every window had a beautiful view. The ferry was immaculate and stocked with everything we needed. We used the gift baskets for a picnic. The houseboats on the dock were terrific works of art. Each one very different from the next and the landscaping was beautiful. We enjoyed the unique decor of the Ferryboat. Each item was visually interesting and added to the fun experience of the Ferryboat. We enjoyed the local restaurants and the ideal location. We visited many Marin county parks and San Francisco. I would overwhelmingly recommend the Ferryboat.

  • Chris is a very considerate and professional host. He's easy to communicate with and makes you feel welcome. The Ferryboat is beautiful and the view is breath taking. Everyone should stay here at least once. Such a great experience!

  • Amazing time, would definitely book again.

    Eric2017-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • the location was nice and the view was amazing, we enjoyed the fireplace, however the furniture was dated and not comfortable and was arranged oddly.

  • We had a great time on the historic Yellow Ferry in Sausalito! Accommodations were well represented online. Loved the environment and area.

    Nancy2014-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • My family and I loved the views across the bay, including the hills, the other houseboats--each architecturally interesting and colorful, the animal life, and the plantings on the deck. The neighbors in the other houseboats are all respectful of each other and maintain a peaceful, quiet environment. But what made this a unique experience was being on the ferry. We very much appreciated the eclectic and tasteful art, apparently collected by the owners over years from different parts of the world. It was like being in a beautiful and interesting museum. The rooms were quite ample, especially the large living space with very comfortable couches and beautiful wood flooring. Everything was clean and well-maintained. My family sat around the fireplace and enjoyed talking and watching TV one night. The kitchen was well appointed and we really enjoyed the basket of wine and other treats. In the area, we enjoyed the de Young museum with dinner at Foreign Cinema, and locally, we recommend eating at Sushi Ran, Molina, and for lunch outside, Fish. Recommend also Muir woods for an easy walk. While visiting Sausalito and San Francisco, the Yellow Ferry was a great place to call our "home base" and we would definitely recommend it to others and return ourselves in the future.

    Joseph2016-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • Historic Yellow Ferry was the perfect place to celebrate our 50th anniversary. A special two weeks! Every morning a treat, the sky reflected on the water, water fowl greeting one another, I think the coffee tasted better with such beauty! Master bed firm and cozy. Gas fire early morning and late night added to the coziness. Kitchen well equipped although we rarely cooked with all the fine restaurants in Sausalito. Chris and Isabella cordial and helpful. (And Nate, their son) the ferry is indeed a special place and we would not hesitate to return!

We live in a very private cul de sac, we call our little piece of heaven.
  • We had a delightful experience at Pam's home in Tiburon. The view is incredible and the room is exactly what was promised. We enjoyed our stay and Pam's company. Everything is very orderly and clean.

    Balam2014-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Pam's place is lovely. As good if not better than some b&bs I've stayed at. She was a gracious host and the location was fantastic.

    Millie2017-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at Pam's place. Both Pam and Jim are very warm and made us comfortable during our stay. Truly a home away from home. They have a newly renovated kitchen and we were privileged to be their first AirBnB guests to make use of it. Thanks Pam and Jim. Wish you the very best.

    Harsha2017-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Pam made everything about the trip a pleasure: she let us know where to park, advised us about local dining and events, and made us feel like visiting friends.

    Stephen2017-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • Pam is the consummate host. Freshly baked cookies, perfect communication, and clean clean clean. The view is incredible and the bed super comfy. Will absolutely return.

    Mark2016-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • I thoroughly enjoyed my visit for the weekend. Pam and her husband were very friendly and accommodating. My flight was delayed until 2 AM and I was greeted warmly and there were freshly baked cookies in my room. I would stay there again and I recommend it to other travelers.

    Tammy2015-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Pam and Jim greeted me with a beautiful room AND wine and cheese, which was above and beyond the call of duty if you ask me. The location is fantastic with great walks along the bay right across the street. It is only one mile to the town which has a 5 star sushi bar which Pam endorsed and which I will now happily endorse (ask Stanley, the chef, to bring out "the smoking gun" as it is awesome). The ferry takes about 20 minutes to San Francisco and brings you to the ferry building which has a great oyster bar (Hog Island). It is also only about 20 minutes to drive to Muir Woods over the ridge through Mill Valley. Could not find a better place to stay, FIVE Stars!

    Warren2014-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • Pam was very welcoming from the start. She and her husband are very family oriented so I felt right at home. I enjoyed waking up to the lovely view of the bay and beautiful Salsalito as well as sitting on the relaxing deck, where I was told deer and rabbits frequented. The house is a convienent 5 minutes drive to downtown Tiburon. I enjoyed my stay (and the cookies left in my room in the evening) and would happily stay again should I find myself in the Tiburon area.

Studio with kitchenette and 3/4 bathroom. Private entrance and off street parking. Views of the San Francisco Bay, including Angel Island and the Golden Gate Bridge. Only minutes to downtown Tiburon and the ferry.
Enjoy a getaway in beautiful Belvedere Tiburon and explore San Francisco! This private studio unit comfortably fits two people. It has a private entrance, outside patio with table, chairs and umbrella, kitchenette and 3/4 bathroom. We also have convenient off street parking. We are just a few minutes away from Main Street in downtown Tiburon, where you can enjoy a variety of wonderful restaurants and shops on the water.
The Town of Tiburon is located just north of San Francisco, in Marin County, California. There are so many things to choose from when visiting – hiking, biking, picnicking, boating, historic tours, shopping, dining, or just simply enjoying the most beautiful views of the Bay Area. Downtown Tiburon has a number of great restaurants to choose from as well. It is the perfect place to stay while visiting Marin County and the city of San Francisco is just a quick ferry ride away!
  • The room was perfectly prepared when we arrived late on a Friday night after taking an Uber from the airport. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable, and the room had some complimentary snacks and beverages that were very much appreciated. Joe and Vida were terrific hosts - They left instructions on how to hook up to the wifi, along with suggestions for restaurants and things to do. Vida even gave us an emergency ride to the ferry when we ran short of time on our first morning! There is a beautiful view of Angel island immediately as you step out the door, and we really enjoyed the daily 10 min walk or bike down to the shops and restaurants in Tiburon. If you've never spent time in the hills of Tiburon you will be amazed at the views and charm - feels like you're in the Mediterranean! We rented bikes for our 3 day stay from Demo bikes, and had a great time riding along the bay and up into the various hilly streets. There is a wide walking/biking path that ran for several miles and we came across people of all ages using it. We've stayed in other homes in Tiburon and this one had the nicest finishing touches and the easiest access. Thanks Joe and Vida for making our trip special!

    Rich2017-04-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great time staying here. Joe and Vida were great hosts!

    Derrick2016-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful views and great location. Minutes away downtown.

    Emily2017-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome location and beautiful view! Vida and Joe keep their place very clean and cozy. Check in and check out were very easy. For those interested, the hot tub is no longer available (not sure if they remove it during the winter/spring months).

    Larissa2017-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Great location just above Tiburon restaurants and bars. If you don't mind walking up/down the hill then it's even better. We never drove once we were there. Ferry to Angel Island was fun. It's a fairly easy hike 5 miles to circle the island. Joe and Vida were both very friendly and helpful.

    Cliff2016-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Joe and Vida have a beautiful space and my wife and I really enjoyed our stay here! The room is bright, the bed is comfortable, the shower was refreshing and the mini kitchen allowed us to make coffee/tea, as well as store perishables in the small fridge. Their home is a short downhill walk from the waterside stores and restaurants but a bracing uphill return walk (which we enjoyed!). We used and enjoyed their hot tub one of the evenings as well. Very enjoyable stay overall and highly recommended for couples looking to stay in Tiburon.

    Swaminathan2016-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I had an amazing stay at Joe and Vida's place. Everything was as advertised. Their place was clean, had a great bed/linens, and fit our needs perfectly. Joe and Vida we very nice and helpful along the way. We would absolutely recommend staying here!

    Dan2017-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • Joe and Vida were great hosts! They made us feel welcome and comfortable and were eager to help with anything we needed. It was really easy to check in and out of the studio at our own leisure. The studio was exactly as described and the perfect get away from home for us! The views from their deck and hot tub were so beautiful! Tiburon is a very quiet and sweet town with great views of the bay! We loved getting to walk around and enjoyed all the recommendations from Joe and Vida! We would definitely recommend this studio to anyone looking for a get away by the bay!

  • Spotless, clean condo with pride of ownership and furnished with all the comforts that we needed. Our view of the bay was a little limited by a tree from the neighbor's yard, but otherwise, we enjoyed the beautiful views of the bay. We also enjoyed a quiet and relaxing weekend with easy access to Sausalito and San Francisco. We look forward to returning soon!

  • We spent a wonderful time at Erick's place. It was a perfect site for the three of us. We had a good contact to Erick, he even allowed us to use his washing maschine. It is in walking distance to all important things, like the ferry, shopping, golden gate, etc. Last but not least, the view is spectacular!

    Philipp2016-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • The place was wonderful with an amazing view. It's tastefully furnished and complete . The only problem was that a workman working on the site kept parking in our space and the people in the unit upstairs could be heard walking around and moving furniture. In all, I would still recommend it to anyone wanting a good location with a view.

    Maralyn2015-04-04T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment we fine and it adequately met our needs. My parents, girlfriend, and I stayed for two nights in Erick's place and there weren't any major complaints. The bathroom had seen better days. While it wasn't dirty, the shower could use some updating and rust removal. We were provided with an adequate amount of shampoo and body wash, and enough towels. The bedrooms were a good size for two people and there were plenty of hangers in the closets. The beds weren't the most comfortable beds ever and ours had the tendency to roll around when getting in and out. Not terrible though. The highlight of this place was definitely the kitchen/porch area. While we were not greeted by chocolate and wine, like in the pictures, we did enjoy the sunny porch overlooking the bay and our final breakfast in Sausalito was very pleasurable indeed. The stove was very nice and the knives were decent quality. There could have been more mugs and glasses, but it's probably good not to have too many, since there's no dishwasher. Also, we needed to scrub some of the pans before using them because there was still some crud on them. The location is fine. It's not exactly in the center of town, but a ten-minute walk will get you to downtown Sausalito and there is a neighborhood market around the corner where you can buy bagels, avocados, and $7 orange juice. We drove to Napa Valley, Muir Woods, and Reyes National Seashore from this location. Overall, this place is fine and the price is reasonable.

    Chris2015-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at Ericks spacious apartment. The apartment has all the ameneties one needs for a short stay and the view from the deck out on the bay is spectacular. The neighborhood is nice and safe and the private parking spot in front of the house very convenient. Erick responded quick and was very helpful whenever we needed him. The instructions given before the arrival were clear and helpful. The self check-in is also very convenient since one can never calculate the exact time of arrival. We can recommend staying in Ericks place very much!

    Dorothee2015-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fabulous holiday in Sausalito. It was also our first experience of using Airbnb. The apartment is accurately described, the view is even better than shown on the website and we never tired of looking out over the bay. The only thing that seemed to bother my husband more than me, was the noise from upstairs, any movement above was really magnified with the hard wood flooring. But that was just a small thing, and I would definitely return.

    Joanne2015-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Erick's place is a great location in Sausalito. Just outside the main strip. Very walkable and quite. Everything you need is there. We have been staying in this same place for the last three years and will continue to do so. Book early!

    Ronnie2017-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. The views are spectacular and the place is very comfortable and nicely decorated. We had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. Thank you Eric for the suggestions for places to eat. The location was ideal. Quiet neighborhood with a short walk to the center of town. Will certainly recommend this place.

    Roxana2015-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great location: a beautiful view of the bay from the deck and easy to walk to the water or into town. Erick was responsive and helpful and getting in and settled was easy. The space was clean, comfortable, and accurately represented by the photos. If I had to be picky, I'd say the decor seemed a little stale - a little too hotel-ish for my taste - but that's represented in the photos, and with the great view and great natural light coming in it's not really that big of a deal. I'd definitely come back.

For a moment, we could totally imagine moving our life up to Sausalito. Christina was super easy to deal with and accommodating, the location was perfect for us (we were married down the street) and we loved the open and sunny floorplan. • We were a family with 2 kids and had a very nice stay in Beth's house. The neighbourhood is very nice and quiet, parking easy and there is even a little playground just across the street. The house is as described on the site, with a small deck and BBQ available. Beth was a very nice host, even shared with us a very good pie she cooked. She lives next door but is very discreet. Communication was easy, she helped us with any problem we had. The house has everything needed, is comfortable and clean, and has lots of daylight and plants, which we appreciated a lot. We recommend this place !

I cooked breakfast many mornings and cooked dinner several evenings. The location is perfect. Close to Mollie's(grocery) and to the center of Sausalito. It was nice to be in an area away from the tourist traffic. There is dedicated parking in front of the house. I can not say enough positive things about this house. Beth has a unique house in the Sausalito landscape-like it says charming

  • My husband and I were on an extended vacation which included a trip to San Francisco. We booked this amazing space with Marilyn through Air B and B. The first thing that strikes you is the drive up to the condo. You can tell that there will definitely be amazing views before you arrive! We were greeted by Marilyn personally when we arrived. The space is clean and well appointed with artwork and other decor. The bed is comfortable and the pillows were soft. Having the option of soaking in the tub was important to us as well. And the views!! From the living room and bedroom we enjoyed a private view of San Francisco away from the madding crowd of the city. Everyday was a postcard. Even though it was in the upper degrees, we remained cool with the doors and window open (screened). We would highly recommend this space to anyone wishing to visit the city away from the confines of the city. Convenient to Napa, Sonoma, Sausalito, and the Golden Gate Bridge to San Fran.

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our one month stay in Marilyn's condo. Clean, quiet, and comfortable. We never tired of the ever changing views of Tiburon and across the bay to San Francisco. Quality lodging in the Bay area!

  • It's all about view, ambiance and convenience... You wake up to a beautiful view of the SF Bay and city skyline at 200 feet above sea level. You just can't start your day better. While enjoying an evening cocktail you watch the reflections of the evening sun as the city takes on another color or the fog moving in accross the Golden Gate. Later the moon's reflection on the bay makes the lights of the city sparkle. Your home away from home couldn't be more perfect for an individual or couple. It's the right size and has everything you need when spending the day relaxing on the lanai enjoying the cool breezes or preparing a meal. I just loved spending time there. As to convenience... It's a 5 minute walk down to beautiful Tiburon. You can find everything you need from groceries, drugstore, movie theater, shops and many restaurants. There's no better way to get to downtown SF than a leisurely ride on the ferry from the Tib pier. As to wine country, Mt. Tamalpais, Muir Woods, the ocean and the rest of what Marin County offers there all just a short drive with very little traffic most of the day. I've been coming to Tib for many years and this was by far my best experience. The greatest part was the warm welcome from Marilyn herself and her tour of my home for the next 6 weeks. I've already rebooked and plan another long stay next summer in Marilyn wonderful Pied a Terre!!!!! Marilyn thanks for sharing!! Dennis

  • We enjoyed our stay in Tiburon and Marilyn's apartment was in a beautiful area whit great views. The apartment was clean, neat and well furnished . Everything you need is available And Marilyn was so kind.

  • This was my second stay. After 8 wonderful weeks this summer I had to stay over Christmas. I would love to rent it this summer for 3 months. I guess that speaks for itself. This place is terrific. It has everything you need plus the "VIEW" is absolutely amazing!!! Marilyn is a great hostess I would at any home she owns...

    Dennis2015-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Nice apartment - spotlessly clean, with the spectacular view pictured. The view is beautiful both during the day and at night. I would stay again, in a heartbeat. The bedroom curtains allow light in, so if you are light sensitive, you may want to bring a sleep mask.

    Stacy2015-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful condo! Beautifully and newly decorated with attractive and comfortable furnishings. The view is spectacular! Marilyn is a delightful host. Truthfully, even though we live nearby and rented this because our home was being worked on, we did not want to leave! We will definitely be back. Plus, we hope to use it for friends and family when they visit.

    Roberta2015-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • Well equipped and comfortable one bedroom condo in lovely location, with great view. Marilyn was an ideal host, very quick to communicate about any questions I had.

Sausalito is a cozy small waterfront town minutes from San Francisco. The house is a couple blocks from the downtown area, and a few blocks from Marin Headlands trailheads.
  • Nice, very quiet neighborhood with ample street parking. The apartment is clean and tidy, and very lived in! one feels they are staying their sister's apartment while she's out of town. Beautiful view of the Northern part of Sausalito harbor, as well as Belvedere, and Mount Tamalpais.

  • Katie's apartment was super cozy and has beautiful sunset views of the bay! I particularly enjoyed lounging on the balcony hammock after a day of adventures in Marin. Katie was also super accommodating and available for answers. Overall GREAT experience!

  • Wonderful apartment in beautiful Sausalito. Easy walking to Sausalito main strip, and to bus stop for transport into San Francisco. Parking for our hire car was straightforward and it was just an easy 20 minute drive into the city. Apartment was as described and as shown - the view is that good! Kitchen and bathroom facilities are good. Thanks Katie!

  • Great place! Close to downtown, great view, comfortable and clean!

    Katie2016-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Katie's place was fantastic. It's spacious and comfortable, and has a WONDERFUL view from a lovely deck. The living area and small but functional kitchen has the same great view. It's a 20 minute walk to the ferry, and slightly less to some great shops and restaurants (we really liked the Joinery, and also the cappuccino at CIBO was to die for). The bedroom is roomy and the bed is quite comfortable. There are many warm touches - it's her home, so you really get a feel for the lovely person she is, and her very positive vibe. And she was INCREDIBLY PROMPT at responding to any questions. It's not cheap, but the value is great given it's location, view and comfort. Perfect for our weekend!

  • This house was sooooo perfect! It was very private with spectacular views, especially from the hot tub. James is incredibly hospitable and a great host. The unique finishes on the room and the location made it feel like we were in a secluded tiny home with a ton of space. We will definitely return!

  • Very cozy, quiet and private space, with absolutely everything you could ever think you will need. Thank you James for being such a good host.

    Lou2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • James was very welcoming, he went above and beyond to make sure that I was comfortable and had everything I needed. The place was bigger than I was expecting from the pictures and was well set up.

    Rob2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • James was a helpful host and I am sure would be even more so with the typical guest visiting from other areas. I am a local currently residing elsewhere who was "home" for the weekend so different circumstances... The location is great, expecially coming from the freeway, and very peaceful and quiet.

    Patricia2017-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome space! Super clean and cosy! Almost felt like a log cabin. Sausalito is just a few minutes down the hill and San Francisco is a shot ferry trip away. James is a fab host. Highly recommended :)

    Simon2017-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • We didn't see James after our first check in, but everything was perfect and the place is much nicer than it looks in the photos ;) There were a number of bathroom features that I hadn't seen before such as a built in blutooth speaker in the shower, wall mounted make up mirrors, and other pleasant surprises. Overall, the place exceeded our expectations!

The SAUS is a hidden gem; one of the original San Franciscan vacation cottages circa 1890s. Conveniently located on Old Town's main thoroughfare; The SAUS is steps from public transportation, and a short stroll along the gorgeous Sausalito waterfront to restaurants and shopping. Your bedroom features a queen bed, wardrobe & dresser. It adjoins a private living room exclusively for you. The shared bathroom features a tub and dual sinks. Experience old Sausalito bohemia at The SAUS.
The SAUS is a little piece of history located in Sausalito's Old Town. It is one of the original cottages built by San Franciscans who came over by ferry to enjoy spectacular Sausalito for vacation. Not many of these buildings remain but you can glimpse one here and there throughout the Old Town area. Although the cottage is old, the interior is modern and eclectic, highlighting photography and contemporary art from local artists. Your bedroom adjoins a private living area which is spacious and inviting. A pair of French doors open to turn the bedroom and living room into one suite. Relax in your private bedroom, lounge on the beach, picnic in the yard, read or watch TV in your own private cozy living room. The SAUS offers a slice of old Sausalito when the town was famous for its bohemian lifestyle. The front door leads to modern Sausalito, the back leads to another time.
Our neighborhood has the beauty of old time good neighbors all over.
  • My daughter and I had a wonderful stay. Ricardo's place is about a 15 minute walk to downtown Sausalito and the ferry. You can access a small beach down a path from his home. Ricardo worked during our stay so while it is a shared space we had the home to ourselves during the day. A parking pass is given during your stay and we were able to find parking a couple of streets down. If you are visiting SF and want a good home base, this is a good option.

    Dee2017-04-05T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place in beautiful Sausalito. Even had access to a private beach! Walking distance to ferry, restaurants, coffee shops. Easy access to San Francisco & Marin County.

    Susan2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place to stay if you want to visit Sausalito and San Francisco. Located right on the bay, it was perfect for a romantic getaway. Ricardo was a kind host who made our stay easy and comfortable.

  • 'The Saus' is an amazing place to stay at, it's Sausalito after all! The place is super neat & clean with access to the beach, you can't ask for more. Ricardo is an awesome host and ensures that the guests have a pleasant stay! I totally recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience Sausalito!

  • I had a lovely stay in Sausalito. The accommodation was charming and the location was ideal. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming. Ricardo was a very thoughtful host and always available to answer any kind of question. I would happily stay again.

  • Ricardo made us feel very welcomed!!! Friendly with stories and enthusiasm for our visit. His place is so charming... Rich with historic details. He was always asking how he could make our stay nicer.... He was just so sweet. Anyone would be so lucky to have a host like Ricard(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)!!!!

  • Ricardo's place is gorgeous and right on beautiful beach in Sausalito. Ricardo is a lovely host. The place is very clean and quiet. Would not be ideal for you if you are messy or want to have a loud party. If you are looking for a quiet getaway then this could be the place for you.

    Amanda Grace2016-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • A cozy, gorgeous, uniquely-designed location in the heart of Sausalito. The main shopping/food area is about 3/4 of a mile down the road, though there is a nice market a block away. Ricardo provides guest parking, which is a boon because parking otherwise in that area can be tricky. While we didn't get to have any face time with Ricardo, all the communication was professional and accommodating. We had no problems what-so-ever finding what we needed to make our stay comfortable and memorable. The house is vintage from the time of Sausalito's 60's beatnik heyday, but immaculately designed with Ricardo's wonderful sense of style. Each room is unique and comfortable. Hopefully, though, you spend more time outside as the town itself is one of the most iconic on the west coast. Amazing hiking just north, or city fun 15 minutes south in San Fran. You can't go wrong. Stay with Ricardo, and we can pretty much promise your time in Sausalito will be awesome. Just don't expect LA weather ok?

This is a lovely place to stay, just minutes from San Francisco. Halfway between an apartment and a hotel suite, it is the 1st floor of a 3 story building with a private entrance and an exclusive driveway. Please read our numerous glowing reviews.
Sausalito is a great place to spend a night...or a few decades (I came here for three months from NYC...thirty years ago). If you're visiting San Francisco, this little village is right on the north side of the Golden Gate Bridge...a charming alternative to big city hotels. It's a convenient HQ for trips to SF with easy access to the California Coast and the Wine Country. Nightly rates range from $99 for isolated single dates to over $200 for holidays and special events (when a minimum number of nights may be in effect). This recently renovated modern unit is like a luxurious hotel suite with a private entrance and no other access from the rest of the building. It's like a studio apartment without a kitchen (just a microwave, beverage cooler, and coffee maker). A separate bedroom and closet behind french doors (shown open and closed in the photos) with a comfy queen-size bed. A living area with a beautiful sectional, gas fireplace (ignited by a remote). There's a small dining area and breakfast bar. Bathroom with Jacuzzi tub (with a European-style hand-held shower head, not one mounted on the wall), bathroom sundries and separate WC. It also has a big screen TV (with cable) in the main room and a second little TV in the bedroom, as well as WiFi. There is no kitchen, but there is a beverage cooler, washer/dryer, iron, ironing board, microwave, coffee machine, coffee & tea, popcorn, condiments, serving supplies, and a private patio. There is a driveway exclusive to the Suite which leads to the private entrance but most Guests prefer to park on the street which, unlike most Sausalito roads, is wide and flat. Some cars which are low to the ground (like my litttle convertible) can't cross the crest of the sidewalk, so it's good that there is ample street parking. It is one beautiful floor, approximately 650 square feet, with an entrance off its own patio with two tables (the umbrellas in the photo were destroyed by storms...twice and are no longer there). There isn't a pool or luscious landscaping (thanks to the drought, the lawn has reverted to a field), just a restful and private enclave. I do my best to juggle the check-in and check-out time needs of the Guests, looking for a compromise between them to allow enough time for a thorough cleaning. It's a half-block off Bridgeway (Sausalito's main road), five stoplights to Highway 101 (five minutes from the Golden Gate Bridge and less than an hour from the wine country) with a bus stop at the corner and off-street parking. A private driveway leads to your front door (if you don't have a low-slung car like I do). It's within walking distance of the Post Office, Grocery, Tennis Courts, Schoonmaker Beach, Banks and Restaurants. Just minutes to SF and a short drive to the Redwoods, Beaches, and Wine Country. It is one mile to the Golden Gate Ferry which goes to downtown SF and The Blue & Gold Ferry which goes to Fisherman's Wharf. It's a great getaway. Feel free to ask any questions.
The Suite is two blocks from an upscale supermarket and walking distance to a dozen restaurants, from Mexican to Chinese to French casual. Within one mile, there are over a dozen; Italian, Mexican, Chinese, American, Thai...and Sushi Ran, one of the most-awarded Japanese restaurants in California.
  • This place is perfect!! The house is in a perfect location and if you want a quiet night, rather than a crowdy and noisy hotel in SF centre, this is a top choice! The house has everything what you will need. Really, there is everything necessary for a tourist. We found the washing machine and the dryer machine especially useful. Thanks to Joseph for making the stay even more comfortable! 5 out of 5!

  • Such a great place! All the little touches made the experience extra special. AMAZING host.

    Shane2013-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • The place was great and just as described. Very clean, nicely designed and decorated, and well equipped with amenities. It's a few blocks from most services you might need for an extended stay, and a pleasant 20 minute walk to "downtown" Sausalito (it's a pretty small town) and the ferry into San Francisco. Great place for a short or long stay, with or without a car. If you like boats and boating, the Bay model and the tall ship project are right nearby, as are the marinas and lots of boats.

  • Joseph was a very hospitable host and his roommate also was very helpful in staying in the the house. The suite was very nice and comfortable and parking also has no problem. It was good to us tha easy accessible to Sausalito stores and restaurants.

  • My boyfriend and I had a great stay here. Everything went very smooth and he has a binder full of directions. It's only 20 minutes driving to the city. We would stay again if we come back!

    Mindy2014-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • So this was mine and my boyfriends first experience with airbnb, we were having a hard time finding any hotels or B&B's available. We waited too long to find a place, with it being his graduation and going crazy planning everything else. We just dropped the ball, well after my bf mentioned this site and I checked it out, Josephs place stood out from the rest! #1 It was totally amazing and cozy and romantic, exactly what we were looking for! #2 Price was so competitive, extremely reasonable for a night with all these amenities and location. #3 Last but not least; FLEX, Joseph was so generous by allowing us to arrive pretty late after the Grad dinner, he was so nice and this was by far the best weekend we've had. My favorite part was the heated for tiles, so heavenly!! Thank you Joseph for allowing us this stay and on top of that erasing the stress from late arrival to help make the weekend the best we've ever had! We hope to do this again and perhaps next time we'll get a chance to see the deer that Joseph mentioned came by to visit. Eva =)

  • It was a very nice experience! Had an awesome time, the house is beautiful, neat and clean. Absolutely had no problems. It has a beautiful backyard. The location is perfect.

  • This place was amazing. Joseph did well to introduce the space, making it clear that he would be accessible yet not over-bearing, but enough with the small talk. The ambiance was unbelievable. Dimmers in every room? A fireplace? AND it was beautifully decorated? I was a bit taken aback because it's not often a place looks better in reality than it does in pictures. Ideal Bay getaway.

This hillside home is perfect for 2 or more. It is spacious having 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. Enjoy a large 50" screen, a real wood fireplace and an awesome private outdoor deck. The home is situated slightly uphill from the main road along the waterfront. The Ferry is about 5 minutes walking away as well as all the best restaurants to try. Park at the residence, but walk the waterfront and breath the fresh salty air and feel the chill of the fog rolling in as you walk home to a roaring fire!
Situated in the center of 3 units, with the unit on top built back from the unit below providing the best architectural sound proof solution to this multi-unit mid century dwelling. Free parking w in 50 feet of front door. The parking deck has the best view of the bay and boats. The unit has it's own private entrance, w 12 steps to descend from the parking deck. There is brand new mattresses w luxurious sheets and pillows in both rooms. Each bedroom has a bathroom. The unit has hardwood floors, a cozy couch, big screen TV and a fireplace stocked w wood for burning (old school rustic style!!). Cook in the fully functional kitchen and eat at the dining table with seating for 6, or eat outside at the table with outdoor seating. The deck has a nice view of the hillside and surrounding greenery and a slight view of the bay. The unit is large enough for roommates, but comfortable enough for just one.
The neighborhood is safe, quiet, and charming. Walking the hills is always good exercise and interesting. There is plenty of wildlife to experience and bodies of water flowing through properties w homes built right over them. There are Victorian mansions w fruit trees and yards which are unusual in the hills. There are brand new state of the art modern marvels built next to a 1930 bungalow. People are generally friendly, but don't litter or walk talking loudly on your cell phone. Instead stop, breathe the sweet jasmine in the air. Gaze at the beauty all around. This is one of the most beautiful places on earth. You're sure to remember your time in Sausalito.
  • Katie's place is lovely! Spacious, great location, and with lots of charming touches. The deck is dreamy. Katie was a great communicator and very accommodating.

  • We had a lovely stay in Katie's hillside rental. Great location! The view from the outside deck was absolutely gorgeous, and the home was perfectly comfortable for 2-3 visitors. I just wish it had been cold enough to use the fireplace! It was also my mother's first time staying at an airbnb, and she loved it - she now prefers it to hotel.

  • Description is quite accurate. Spacious house with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Netflix is on so you'll have plenty to watch. There's parking within the property and on the road. The road leading up to the house is quite steep so might be a challenge for those with heart condition. Also ten or so steps going down from the parking slot to the front door. Good view of the bay from the road. You have access to a balcony with a view of treetops. Working kitchen. Nice towels. House was generally clean but sofa could use some cleaning though. It was cold when we stayed and the heating was working but not sufficient. The thermostat was quite complicated so no luck making it warmer.

Our well-appointed garden apartment is a 5 minute walk to the shops and restaurants of Caledonia Street, and a 10 minute walk to the Sausalito Ferry terminal. Easy on-site parking. Enjoy gorgeous views in a peaceful setting, with an easy commute to San Francisco via car or ferry. *Please note, while it is a 5 minute walk to Caledonia street, we do live on a steep hill. The walk home is a little more difficult. This may not be a walkable location for guests with mobility challenges.
This is a recently renovated 1BR apartment with a balcony and wonderful views of Richardson Bay. The apartment has a separate entrance with a coded keyless lock. Full-size bed and additional inflatable single bed available. The bathroom has a shower stall only. There are two ample closets.
Our neighborhood is located just up the hill from Caledonia Street. It is a very small, dead-end street. It has the advantage of being both quiet and close to the attractions of Sausalito.

  • The place was even better than the photos depict, especially the view of the bay from the patio! My girlfriend and I loved the relaxed vibe of the neighborhood; it was safe and just a short drive to the Golden Gate bridge/San Francisco. The house was spotless and perfect for a two-person stay-parking was easy. The cottage could get chilly at night, but the fireplace warmed it up quickly. The host has coffee, tea, creamer, and sweeteners ready for us, as well as more towels than we needed. I recommend this to anyone for an extended stay!

  • Great place to stay !! one of the best I've ever been in SF... Very nice apartment and great Marnie ! Everything was perfect ... and the location is gorgeous... claire

  • Marnie's place is fantastic. It was inviting and clean. The view was fantastic. They made every effort to have the stay be easy and smooth. I highly recommend this unit, and hope to return next time we are in the area.

  • Beautiful accommodations! Very quiet and private, yet walkable to downtown Sausalito with lots of restaurants and shops. Apt. is very sunny and bright, very comfortable. Marnie was a terrific host! We loved staying here and highly recommend it.

    Mary2017-04-11T00:00:00Z
  • The photos do not do Marnie's place justice. This place is so charming! The views are spectacular, the space is exceptionally clean, and the furnishings are nice quality. I love that Marnie stocked the place with special touches: fresh, local cream for your coffee, coffee beans(!), champagne(!!), and individual bars of soap. I also appreciate that there's no clutter in the space so I never felt like I was in a stranger's home. The location is awesome because it's tucked away which means you have peace and quiet. Something to note: Marnie provides directions to locate her home and they were super helpful (use them!). I will be back, without question!"

  • This is a terrific small cottage, well appointed, very walkable albeit with some hills! Great deck with bay view. Lots of character, very comfortable with thoughtful host.

This charming and peaceful studio in Sausalito has it all: privacy, amenities and a convenient location. Easy street parking and walking distance to shopping, restaurants and waterfront. Enjoy a comfortable queen-sized bed, flat screen television, kitchen and private bathroom.
Situated in a quiet north Sausalito neighborhood that is still extremely walkable (please view below map for a sense of location), the garden studio is perfect for those who would like a relaxing stay during their time in the Bay Area. Located at the back of our main house, the garden studio has its own private entrance and is charmingly appointed. Please note: there are 26 stairs down to the studio from the property entrance (in groups with flat areas in between). As such this is probably not an appropriate listing for those with mobility issues or injuries that may prevent them from walking up and down stairs. While we love animals no pets (including our own) are allowed in the garden studio out of consideration for our guests with allergies. Minimum stay is 2 nights but some 1 night stays will be considered if there is a) a single night available on the calendar between other stays or b) for last minute inquiries made within 2 weeks of a stay. With a queen size bed and pullout sofa bed, the garden studio can fit up to four people. Guests should bear in mind that it is a studio set up with an open floor plan. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or special requests. Toddler size air mattress and Pack N Play crib available upon request. Sausalito is a charming town, with great restaurants, local character and is conveniently close to the city of San Francisco. It's a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of exploring SF. It's also close to other Bay Area attractions and activities like Mount Tamalpais, Muir Woods, Stinson Beach, Marin Headlands, Point Reyes and Sonoma and Napa wine country. The garden studio is located in northern Sausalito, approximately 1.5 miles for the Sausalito ferry terminal, with easy freeway access.
For those who like to be outdoors and active, the options are limitless. There are plenty of nearby hikes, easy access to Marin bike paths, free tennis courts within one block of the studio (as well as basketball courts, a soccer field and small track) and nearby kayak and paddle board rentals.
  • This was a great studio in Sausalito! I loved the privacy and the location. Absolutely perfect place for my husband and I over a long weekend visiting my brother.

    Krista 2015-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great studio! Comfy, clean and cute. We had a really nice stay and even went to the lighthouse cafe that Tanya recommended. We would definitely come back! Sausalito is amazing.

    Jenn2015-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Tanya was very helpful, welcoming, and the Garden Suite was better than imagined. Quiet location, privacy, but within walking distance to shops and the Ferry. I highly recommend and cannot wait to visit Sausalito again.

    Laurie2014-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay in Sausalito could not have been better. Tanya was very welcoming and available for questions. The studio apartment had everything we needed and was very comfortable. We loved the easy accessibility to Muir Woods and Stentin beach as well as a short 1 mile drive or walk down into the town of Sausalito.

    Brenda2015-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • This accommodation was exactly as described and very nice. It is, however, not really walking distance to the ferry as I had expected. It's about 2 miles from downtown Sausalito so you probably need a car to get there. Tanya was not at home when we arrived but we had no problem accessing the property. It also is very private and quiet. If you can't do steps it will be a problem, It's about three short flight down to the entrance since it's in the back of the property which slopes down a hill.

    Martha2015-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Tanya and her husband met us to give us a little tour. They had great communication as far as planning to meet us on our time. Clean, homey, beautiful space. Very quiet family and neighborhood. Would definitely stay here again!

    Katy2014-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • A very lovely spot close to the centre of Sausalito and convenient for ferry to San Francisco. Quiet and self-contained it affords privacy and a peaceful space. Would definitely book it again.

    Yatra2014-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay at Tanya's! Really great communication, her place was just as listed and described, and she made us feel really welcomed. If you're looking for a relaxed, comfortable place to stay when in the Bay Area, this is it! Thank you!

Welcome to Tiburon! Great Location! This lovely furnished guest apartment is located on a gated estate. The guest apartment features an open floor plan including a living/dining area and kitchen, a separate bedroom, and a private bathroom with a shower/bathtub. The estate is very private. The location is close to the SF Bay, ferry, shopping, restaurants, yacht clubs, multi-use path. Enjoy the Village Lifestyle!
  • The apartment is a one-bedroom unit on the lower floor of a home. It is on a main street, but located up a driveway, away from the road. Right across the street is a beautiful walk and bike path along the SF Bay. A short walk (20 minutes or so) takes you to the town of Tiburon, with shops and restaurants. The apartment is small, ideal for 1-2 people, but quite comfortable, clean, and peaceful. The host and the owner are terrific; they are very responsive. I rented the apartment for an extended period (several months) and was very pleased. I'd gladly stay there again.

    Chuck2017-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed in Margo's apartment for 2 nights for a SF getaway while my mom was in town. It was perfect! The apartment was actually much bigger than I had thought and was extremely clean and well decorated. The kitchen is a smaller kitchen, but was great for having some breakfast or an appetizer with some wine before dinner. We were only about a 20 minute walk from the town. We elected not to rent a car as we used the ferry and rode bikes most of the time. I would definitely recommend it!

    Alyssa2014-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Great location-literally across street from wonderful walking path and the Bay. Also easy walk to downtown Tiburon and ferry! Very comfy bed! Full size refrigerator and great bath tub /shower combo. On site parking and also laundry room. Would definitely recommend this place!

    Barbara2017-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Margo and Kam were amazing hosts! My husband and I were celebrating our 2 year anniversary and we were welcomed to the apartment with wine and a very thoughtful card, along with a great recommendation for a beautiful restaurant in Tiburon. It is a really beautiful area, and a very cute apartment that was perfect for our stay!

    Kassie2016-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • An ideal place to stay in you like peace and quite. The apartment is extremely comfortable and secluded. The park in front on the apartment is a great place for a morning or evening jog. A great place to stay if you want some peace and quiet but still want to be close to the city.

    Christian2017-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • The guest apartment in Tiburon made for a lovely stay. Location was extremely convenient (5 min to freeway, walking distance to downtown Tiburon and the ferry) and the unit was warm and cozy. The host made me feel very comfortable and welcome and overall my experience was wonderful.

    Angela2015-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I stayed in Margo & Kam's 1BR unit for 6-weeks, while we looked for a new place of our own in Tiburon. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The location is amazing, right across the street from the water and Tiburon trail. The 20-min walk to Downtown Tiburon became a daily routine. The interior is cute, clean and comfy. Aside from an oven, it has everything you need. We would definitely stay here again!

    Warren Paul2016-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • Two friends of mine were staying at Margo's place while visiting me in San Francisco. Everything was exactly as described, nice apartment, clean and very convenient location. Also Margo was extremely flexible for check-in and check-out and very helpful during their stay e.g. as for tips what to do and where to go. Thanks Margo for making the stay so pleasant for my friends!!!

  • This house is spectacular. The views of San Francisco are simply amazing; the house is gorgeous; and you could not ask for a better host. Incredibly accommodating, immaculately clean, comfortable. Great for a weekend or a week to explore the area. You could not ask for a better place. As it happened, we needed to find a place fast because of the fires; Jeff and friends could not possibly have been more gracious, understanding or accommodating. Thank you!!

This property is one of the most incredible I have ever seen. I hope to be able to rent from Jeff again!

    Omar 2017-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • The house is incredible and Jeff and his assistant Angelo were an absolute pleasure. This was a business trip, but the home made it feel like a well deserved vacation. The home is gorgeous with amazing views, a beautiful property to spend time at, you will never want to leave. We forgot that breakfast was included and were pleasantly surprised when we arrived.

    Alexis2015-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • The Home: It's hard to really find any flaws with this amazing property. It is nestled on the hillside overlooking the bay and has every possible comfort. It could be the scene for an elegant cocktail reception, a romantic honeymoon or a music video it's so opulent one would almost expect mini giraffes to be walking around. You couldn't be more comfortable with a $10,000 budget at a world class hotel, just not possible. The Host: Jeff is very gracious and welcoming. He's quite savvy about the bay area and can give lots of good advice about what to see / do and where to eat. He has a good sense of humor and maintains his house to an amazing standard. All in all good guy!

  • Location was great. Easy to get to Wine Country or into the city. Good access to major highways, but quiet neighborhood. Plenty of stores and restaurants within 10 minute drive. Plenty of room for a large group (we had 7). Good size kitchen. We are able to easily prepare a large Thanksgiving dinner.

    Fred2016-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • Our host Sashi was very very nice as well as accommodating. The house is is one of the nicest neighborhoods with multi million dollar homes. The view is worth the price alone. We would come back in a heart beat. Our family of 14 loved it!

    Terri2016-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • This place met expectations as a wonderful space to create meaningful memories with friends/family. The common areas are so well designed with great lighting and air flow. Shashi was great throughout the process. The views were fantastic. As an FYI, this is an older home so with that comes noisier stairs, cobwebs, etc. It was a great for us, and we would definitely stay again.

2 bdrm, 1 bath + home office This is a cozy home with all of the charm of Sausalito's old school artist-style living. House & property with a bohemian, relaxed feel is located in the coveted sunbelt zone of Sausalito. 2 blocks off the water. Location location location! 5 min walk to the ferry that takes you into San Francisco. Short stroll to Sausalito’s restaurants, shops and artist studios. Dogs considered :-)
The home: You enter from the front porch which has a comfortable seating arrangement with a love seat, coffee table and 2 end chairs. Walk thru the front door to the high ceiling living room which has an extra large, firm cushioned sectional couch, long and wide enough for one adult to sleep comfortably. To your right is bedroom one with a queen bed. Continue walking thru the living room and bedroom two is at the far end of the living room, also on the right hand side of the home and with a queen bed. Continue thru the home to enter the kitchen. On the right is a doorway to a short hallway -- on the left is to the back room to the right is the bathroom. This back room is set up as a home office + extra large lazyboy lounge chair. Upon request a temporary bed can be provided for this room to convert it to a bedroom. The washer and dryer are in the walk-in closet pantry at the far end the kitchen. The area: From the house walk only 5 min to the ferry which takes you to San Francisco. Or head south in car for 5 minute to drive over the Golden Gate Bridge or to the Headlands National Park to access the coastline for hiking and taking in the surf at Rodeo Beach. Or drive north 5 minutes to Tennessee Valley beach. Mill Valley is a 8 min drive away. Check out that town. From there you can drive (hike or mountain bike) to the top of Mt. Tam to view the city from the top! From the house a 5 minute drive takes you to the junction to Coastal hwy 1 where you can drive the scenic road to Stinson beach. Or get on hwy 101 north which you can also pick up 5 min from house to drive to Pt Reyes National Park via several routes. From the house walk 5 minutes to Sausalito's bay beach (Schoonmaker Beach) Kayak and paddle board rental also a 5 minute walk away from the home. The home is situated on a quite street but only steps away from all of Sausalito's coffee shops and bars. Drivers Market is one block away; playground, basketball courts and Dumphy Park are 2 blocks away. Bottom line -- you will not find a better location in Sausalito on Airbnb! Anyone who has ever stayed here over the years has commented on how much they love it. It is a special place and is my home, not a second home that I rent. When rented I am staying close by in order to be of assistance if needed. It is one of the older bungalow style homes very common in Sausalito that make up much of the charm of our little town.
This home is located in a quite neighborhood and very quite street but is a only couple of blocks away from all of the action. We are down near the water, not up a winding, steep road like many of the other Sausalito rentals. You can walk to everything!
  • I am normally fairly well versed in crafting pithy sentences full of polysyllabic verbiage. However, in this case, I've been reduced to: WOW. Just WOW. Perfect house. Perfect location. Perfect host. The house is a splendid older house full of charm. It is scrupulously clean. It is near the waterfront for admiring the houseboats. It is near the GGRA for hiking (and..um...getting more than a little bit of poison (URL HIDDEN) careful!). Karen was beyond fantastic. She went out of her way to make us feel at home and get us oriented to the community. WOW. Just wow. We will be back.

My place is close to Downtown Sausalito, San Francisco, Muir Woods, Sausalito ferry, family-friendly activities, nightlife, the city center. We do live on a steep hill, so having your own car/rental car is highly recommended. You will have off street parking in our driveway. You’ll love my place because of the tree-filled neighborhood, the comfy bed, and the coziness. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. Non-smokers only.
The guest room has a private patio that looks out on eucalyptus trees. We are close to cafes, a market and the adorable waterfront & downtown of Sausalito. (Everything is about a 5 minute drive away). Non-smokers only.
We are in an excellent walking neighborhood if you like to stroll, it feels like you are in the woods, note that it is hilly.
  • Elizabeth was a great host! Her place is tucked in a cute neighbor; great for scenic drives! Communication was clear and process went smoothly!

    Tien 2017-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful house and very kind and responsive host. Will definitely look to stay again when back in the area.

    Meg2017-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • We spent 3 nights at Elizabeth's place and we loved our stay there! The house is beautiful, we can see Elizabeth thought about every little detail at the house, it's very well decorated and super clean! The location is also great, 4 min drive to many great restaurants and bars in Sausalito and very easy and fast to drive to San Francisco. The room is comfy, quiet and there is a lot of privacy as the room is at a dofderent floor from the rest of the house. There is also a patio connected to the room, we spent a nice evening there drinking wine looking at the beautiful trees around the house. Elizabeth was very responsive and gave us great restaurant recommendations in the area and also had chocolate and sparkling wine set for us (very kind), her husband and little boy are also very nice! We're in love with her place and family, hope we will see them again. If we're back to SF, we'ddefinitely stay here again!

  • This space is very interesting and filled with quite a lot of history - if you are a music buff, you'll really appreciate the space. Kara, who worked with us while we were onsite, was extremely friendly and a great host.

  • Jennifer and her team we're very accommodating, welcoming, and made our team training such an enjoyable experience. The venue itself was incredible. It was perfect for our group- it allowed us to focus, relax, and provided several breakout rooms. The surrounding area was great for a large group, plenty of parking, nearby parks, museums and the waterfront. Highly recommended for future events, trainings, retreats, parties etc.

  • We just had a wedding at this lovely place. Couldn't have found a better option. The space was ideal but we also got top quality wedding planning (for an extra charge). Alison, that provided all the wedding planning, had become our angel. Thank you, Alison! We will be coming back to take advantage of all the other wonderful services available at Harmony.
