  • My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay here!!Leslie and Susan were excellent hosts and stayed in constant communication any time we had questions. The carriage house is very close to the M and J trains, and you are also just a stroll away from everything Williamsburg has to offer.

  • Loved staying at this place and it was safe, very clean with exceptional communication. Four of us stayed and were comfortable. Close walk to subway, food and drink. Friendly neighborhood and the complimentary donuts from Pies n Thighs, organic coffee and cream were to die for! When I accidentally cracked the coffee pot, the host was graciously understanding as well as accepting my daughter as a last minute tag along. Thanks so much for the worry free accommodations for our trip!

  • Great place, great neighbourhood. We felt like we were living in Williamsburg during our holiday; good feeling! The apartment is clean and exactly as described. At our last day our flight back was late at night; Susan and Leslie were very helpful in keeping our luggage so we could enjoy our last day in the city.

    Lennart2015-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean, nicely furnished and spacious apartment with comfortable bed and other amenities. Leslie was helpful upon checking in and gave good tips to restaurants and getting around the area. Quiet place and convenient to Manhattan. We would stay here again.

  • My wife & I stayed here on a quick trip to NY. This little gem is located in a fun neighborhood (especially for coffee shops) and the hosts provide a nice guidebook to the neighborhood. We thought the actual street and the apartment was very quiet for NYC, and the location was a very manageable walk from two different subway stations.

    John2012-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great place! Hosts are wonderful, very quick to reply and help with everything we needed. We enjoyed our stay and would definitelly recommend it to our friends.

    Zvonimir2016-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay w/ Leslie & Susan. Great communication beforehand, donuts from Thighs & Pies right across the street (go there for breakfast/brunch!), and an overall nice & easy stay while exploring Brooklyn.

    Stephen2014-12-14T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at the carriage house suite with two other friends in August. The location of the place is good, near two train stops and many cafes! Susan was very helpful and offered us another air bed when the previous one was faulty. Although we had one or two bug scares, it was overall a very pleasant stay!

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT A NEIGHBORING HOME IS CURRENTLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION. Work can legally commence Monday - Saturday, 7am - 6pm. As you can read, from the reviews there is no inconvenience whatsoever. however, I want to be sure there are no surprises. Create a memorable vacation or business trip by staying at this clean, relaxing, comfortable private bedroom and living room in family-friendly Park Slope.
Three items my guests love about my home are: - Spacious and Clean - You can read all the previous reviews of how clean and spacious the private bedroom and living room are. - Comfortable bed - Most of my guests comment on the good night’s sleep they have. -Attention to detail - I have been hosting since 2010. Yes, before Airbnb was a verb, and I try to think of your traveling needs. Guests love my guide book and mention it in their reviews. Two items my guests sometimes wish was different: - Shared home - I'll be your roommate during your trip, I work from home, and there is no private bathroom. But the duplex has two bathrooms. Between you having your own private entrance and your own living room you get plenty of privacy. - Not in Manhattan - But a very short 20-minute subway ride. You get to hear birds instead of sirens. Private entrance to your living room and bedroom in a 2-bedroom duplex private house. The private bedroom has a very comfortable queen size bed, sleeps two, with fresh linens and 2 closets for you to unpack. The private living room has a desk, TV, with HBO and Showtime, and a sofa bed that sleeps two. I provide clean sheets, towels, and robes for your use. Free WIFI is accessible in the entire apartment and backyard. On this, floor there is a small bathroom with a shower. And my bedroom. On the first floor, there is my private living room, but you're more than welcome to use the second bathroom with a tub, dining table and kitchen. Lastly, there's a sunny private backyard with organic vegetables and herbs where you can relax in the hammock. And yes, I share the harvest. There is an apartment above us that I rent via Airbnb https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/76761. Sometimes you could hear the other guests walking above as this is a 100 year old home. Sometimes you don't hear them. Be aware of it. RATES: Prices vary depending on the season and number of guests. Calendar shows correct prices for 1 person. THE SPACE: Top Floor: - Private entrance to your... - Private living room with sofa bed (sleeps 2), TV, desk, AC, heat and ceiling fans. - Private bedroom (queen size bed sleeps 2), closets, AC, heat and ceiling fan - My bedroom - Small bathroom with shower Bottom Floor: - Fully equipped kitchen - which you can use - My private living room - Dining room - Second bathroom with tub - which you can use - Access to backyard - which you can use ROOMMATES: Me. I'm located on 14th Street between Fourth and Fifth ave in Park Slope. It's a family friendly quiet and safe neighborhood. Park Slope is considered one of New York City's most desirable neighborhoods. I have lived here for over 20 years. I'm walking distance to Prospect Park, amazing restaurants, bars and live music.
  • Evelyn's apartment is very warm and comfortable, the decoration is tasted, the same as photos . At the same time, blocks nearby are also beautiful, full of life smell,it makes you feel one of them. What's more important is the welcoming of Evelyn, she's very warm and considering, prepared all you need, both daily use and traveling information. Highly recommended to stay here.

  • My friend and I stayed in the Private bedroom/Living Room during a trip to New York. We couldn't have been more pleased! Everything was exactly as pictured. There were plenty of towels and even soft robes for us to use. We were so comfortable staying with her. She is a great person and has done a fantastic job creating such a great place to stay! I would recommend staying with Evelyn to ANYONE!

    Heather2012-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed here with my wife and our 15 month old son and we had a great stay. The place is exactly as shown in the pictures. First we have to say that Evelyn and her boyfriend are very accomodating and friendly. The place is very conveniently located a few blocks from the subway into manhattan. Also a short walk (10-15 min) to Prospect Park. You can find supermarkets within a few blocks. The bedroom and livingroom were really nice. We could let our son take his nap while we were in the living room (which comes with a sofa bed). The smaller bathroom is just outside the door in the hallway. There were more than enough towels and even two robes! We could also use the kitchen and there were breakfast items provided (OJ, milk, bread, eggs and cereals). All in all a great stay. Thanks Evelyn for your hospitality and we enjoyed staying at your place!!

    Peter2012-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • My stay at Evelyn's was simply superb. I was upgraded to the larger room and couldn't have been happier with all of the amenities. The room was large, the bed comfortable, and the bathroom very clean. Everything was so comfortable and she even provided snacks in the fridge in case you were hungry! I felt like I was in a hotel, but better! If you want to have a pleasant and very comfortable stay in NY, choose Evelyn! Also, the neighborhood (Park Slope) is quaint and safe, with many good restaurants to choose from.

    ranya2013-03-27T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in Eveland for ten days and we loved it! We arrived a little later than planned, so Evelyn was not at home. It was easy to find the key as described and she arrived shortly after to welcome us. We spent most days in Manhattan, so we didn´t spend much time in the flat. It was really nice to come back to Park Slope in the evening after a busy day. The neighbourhood was very nice and we found some lovely restaurants on 5th Street and nice walks in the area. We had a whole shelf in the fridge to ourselves and she provided us with ingredients for breakfast. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and Evelyn was always available and happy to help. Eveland is a great place to stay and we highly recommend it.

    Silje2014-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Evelyn was a fantastic host. The place was exactly as advertised, and actually more than I expected. The bed was comfortable, the premises very clean, and exquisitely furnished. The neighborhood was perfect, and transportation / commute was very accessible. I would strongly recommend Eveland to anyone visiting NYC, and wanting to stay in a great neighborhood in Brooklyn.

    Desmond2015-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Evelyn was a great host. She was very accommodating and had a ton of useful information available for me.

    Austin2015-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place to stay! Evelyn was such a welcoming host. The restaurants nearby were delicious, and we enjoyed strolling along 7th Avenue which was so close by. This space was also close to the subway. We couldn't have asked for anything more...would definitely stay here again!

  • Claire's place was just right for what we needed! It was a great location not to far from anything & everything we wanted to do! The house was very clean and she had baked fresh cookies for us, delicious! The kitchen was fully stocked so we could cool our own meals and not have to eat out every night. The store down the street offered everything need for a comfortable stay!

    Kelly2013-04-18T00:00:00Z
  • Our host Claire greeted us at the apartment and couldn't have been more welcoming on the cold and frosty day we checked in. The apartment is very charming, roomy and comfortable and well equipped. Our thirteen year old son enjoyed the sofa bed in front of the TV. Only hiccup was a malfunctioning heating system but Claire immediately got us space heater's while she had the mechanic/ electrician come in on Saturday and had it fixed immediately. The bed in the bedroom is very comfy also with lovely bed linens. Fantastic area also and perfect for us because we were there to see our daughters thesis exhibition at Pratt Institute which is just a few blocks away- a beautiful historic campus nearby.

    Karen2015-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Although we did not get to meet Claire the apartment was just what we expected and more. And Claire was quick to text any info we needed and gave us great directions from our bus to the apartment. Me and three girlfriends came up for a bachelorette party and were very comfortable. The apartment was spacious enough for four girls to get ready for the night and the beds were comfortable. I wish we could have explored the neighborhood a bit more but there is a great coffee shop half a block away called Primrose Cafe. The street is nice and quiet. I would recommend staying here to anyone who wants to explore NYC and Brooklyn and have the convenience and comfort of home. Thanks so much Claire!!

    Julianne2014-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • We are lucky enough to be Claire's neighbors: we live around the corner from the carriage house apartment in Brooklyn. We met here through airbnb, and were thrilled to get to know Claire -- she is an amazingly efficient, kind, welcoming host. The carriage house apartment is a perfect place to stay for visiting relatives. My inlaws spent a long weekend here this month and they really enjoyed having their own clean, comfortable apartment to retreat to at the end of the day. Perfect experience in all ways!

    Karyn2013-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • I want to thank Claire for letting us stay at her gorgeous home. Everything was just as it was described which is why I chose it for our wedding prep location. Our photographer and cinematographer were all praises about how the apartment looked, particularly the view of the outside. We were able to get some amazing shots. Claire was always quick to respond and very helpful throughout our stay. Thanks again, Claire!

    Janice2014-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Claire's place was perfect, and she was so helpful and considerate the entire time we were there. It's a great apartment in a super convenient location, and we'd love to stay again next time we're in the area.

    Dylan2015-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Claire's flat was exactly as described -- there's a nice skylight in the living room that adds to the openness of the space. The neighborhood is really lovely, and it's a short walk to a couple of subway lines. Claire was super communicative and an overall pleasure to work with. We really enjoyed our stay!

    Ann2016-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • I was welcomed by staff in the adjacent office. The apartment was clean and looked like the pictures that were posted. It was in a nice neighborhood and quiet.

  • Kevin was super flexible and accomodating in every aspect of our stay. The room and the entire apartment are absolutely flawless! The proximity to the metro and the vibe of the neighborhood added a lot to our experience, and I can definitely recommend the place! Communication and checkin was extremly smooth and everythign about the room was highly professional. The bathrooms were nice and clean, towels were provided and the bed was super comfy.

    Lewin2015-04-03T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed with a friend for 4 days at Kevin´s appartment and we felt absolutely welcome and comfortable. Kevin and his roommates were really friendly and helpful (how to get to the Metro,.....) and it was a pleasure meeting them. We felt safe in their neighbourhood and we can absolutely recommend other airbnb travellers to spend their time in New York at this location

    Leonie2015-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic apartment in a great location, with excellent facilities. Kevin's a lovely chap too - couldn't recommend more highly.

    Sophie2015-05-11T00:00:00Z
  • Kevin and Josh were great hosts. The room and the apartment was as is illustrated above. Everything clean, neat and comfortable. They helped us locate subway lines to move around the city and were friendly all the time.

    Ruben2015-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first AirBNB experience, so naturally our biggest concerns simply involved the unknown of staying with strangers who we hoped were trustworthy. Kevin and his roommates quickly vanquished those fears, making us feel completely comfortable and safe in their home. They were eager to do whatever it took to make our stay pleasant. We found everything to be as advertised in the AirBNB listing. The room and living space were functional. We liked the NYC photo wall. But most importantly, there was AC in the room. Not sure if we could have slept in the NYC summer heat without it, so that was absolutely huge. I doubt you'll find a better deal or nicer hosts.

    Brian2014-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, very clean and looks just like pictures. Kevin and Josh were very accommodating. It was a smooth and easy check in and check out experience. I would stay here again as well as recommend others to stay here. Didn't get to meet Kevin in person, just Josh, but that didn't matter as Kevin was very responsive to any and all questions via text or email. Thanks guys!

    Louie2015-05-30T00:00:00Z
  • It was a nice experience, Kevin was not there, but his roommate Josh was a great host. Everything looked like the pictures. A very nice clean place, close to subway station, and free parking on the street. I will stay here again. Thanks Josh !

Sunny and bright bedroom with direct access to garden behind it. The room has a queen-sized bed and three huge windows which face east, west and south respectively. The bedroom is on the lower floor of a brownstone, duplex apartment in the residential neighborhood of Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. The bathroom is NOT en suite and is shared with one other person. Though there is no A/C, there is an overhead fan which keeps the temperature in the room during the summer quite comfortable. The apartment has a chef's kitchen which you are free to use. Fiber-optic Wi-Fi is available. There is a French coffee shop called Choice on the corner which is pricey but very good, where you can get your morning cup or breakfast or lunch or dinner. There is a closet in the room though not displayed in the pictures. There are also many restaurants in the neighborhood, many of which are located on DeKalb Ave and Myrtle Ave. The apartment is 40 mins from Times Square, 30 minutes from Greenwich Village/NYU and is very close to Prospect Park, The Brooklyn Museum, Pratt, The Brooklyn Academy of Music, the new Barclays Stadium, The Brooklyn Flea, Fort Greene and Williamsburg. The apartment is also along the route for the NYC Marathon. Parking is available on the street or in lots in the neighborhood. G-train to Clinton/Washington
Very eclectic, mixed neighborhood. Nice energy
  • Great Brooklyn location with close access to trains leading straight to Manhattan. Waldemar was a courteous host and was helpful. The room was clean and spacious, and the overhead fan kept it quite comfortable during the summer months. The cat was an added bonus. Thanks again for everything, Waldemar!

    Linda2013-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very nice stay at Waldemar's place! He's very friendly (just like his lovely cat by the way!) and makes you feel home instantly. He's always willing to give some good advice. For example, Waldemar was kind enough to arrange a cheaper taxi for us to the airport. The room was clean as well. As were the sheets and towels. They were changed every week. We would really recommmend this accommodation! If we ever go to NYC again, we wouldn't doubt going to Waldemars house. Antoni and Joeri

    Antoni2013-05-13T00:00:00Z
  • A very easygoing host with a Nice apartment. The room was perfectly fine and the bed amazing. Waldermar is kind and he helpt us with getting directions and so on. We can really recommend the area if you want to see something else the a crowded Manhattan.

  • We had a very enjoyable stay with Waldemar - he was a generous host who was friendly and kind. Our bedroom was comfortable and private with access to a beautiful backyard and a bathroom shared with other guests. The location was very convenient - right on the G line, so it was easy to get to from Manhattan and other neighbourhoods in Brooklyn. Thank you, Waldemar!

    Tara2014-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • Waldemar was a great host for my first trip out in NYC. He was very knowledgeable about the Brooklyn area and getting down to the city. The room was very clean and I had no issues with privacy. It seems like he understands when to leave you alone and very open when you want to have a conversation with him. I was out there on business so there was no issues with internet or getting around. For anyone looking for a fair price place to stay in Brooklyn that is a 20 min subway ride to the city. I would recommend staying with Waldemar.

    Maurice2015-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The bedroom is cozy and nice. Host is super helpful and kind!

  • Welcoming, helpful and practical host in spite of the English language barrier which we do not master. Correct Chamber(room) very close to a subway thus of all Manhattan. Accessible(Approachable) and functional cooking(kitchen). A stay rich in éreintantes discoveries for the feet of the Fellow. The control(master's degree) of the plan subway allows to reduce and not to cancel tire them inherent to any metropolis. Thank you, Waldemar. A caress to Katy, the Cat. Friendly. Fabrice and Annick. Commentaire original. Merci, Waldemar. Une caresse à Katy, la Chatte. Amicalement. Fabrice et Annick.

  • Waldemar is a gracious host. The rooms (I stayed in all 3) are clean and comfortable. His house is less than a block from the subway, so you're in Manhattan in less than 15 minutes. Brooklyn is a great place to stay in when visiting New York. Highly recommended.

This is a legal, 2-family home, permitted for short-term rentals under the NY State Multiple Dwelling Law. My romantic loft (700 sq ft, 10 ft high ceilings) in a gut-renovated landmark house. It has a big Maroccan tiled patio/terrace with a view of my garden. Queen bed perfect for 2 guests, and lower level with 'futons' allowing for a 3rd guest. Beautifully fully-equipped kitchen. Because I suffer allergies pets are not allowed even if I love them. It's a non smoking area.
It's in a unique multi ethnic landmark/historic neighborhood that took me one year to find! One block away from the amazing saraghina, it's restaurant, bakery and wine bar and near bar lunatico that offers live music every evening. If you come from the country this is Brooklyn so sometimes mornings you can hear noise coming from the street because the queen bed is by the big window. The window is triple paned and the street is not very big but we are in a city and not the country. The guests coming from the country might notice the noice in the morning more than city guests. It reminds me of being in Rome as I am Italian, with it's food, fresh pasta, fresh bread. Many Italians have moved to Halsey and nearby because of Saragina s bakery, restaurant and wine bar and now the great music at bar lunatico across the street. The neighborhood, is multicultural and is just amazing in the spring summer and fall but loses its appeal in the winter as the flowers die. the A express train is a 8-10 minutes walk from my house ( depending how fast you walk I have timed myself at 7)and it takes you to the village in Manhattan in 17 minutes! and Chelsea in 20 and midtown 35. There is also the c train that takes you to brookyn academy of music or BAM and fort Greene in 10minutes and Manhattan. Across the street the bus will take you straight to Brooklyn academy of music in 15. My house was done from scratch, everything is new except fireplaces and brick walls. It's done with love. The light is beautiful! There is a bird sanctuary in the backyard beautiful birds sing in the garden that you can appreciate in the Maroccan tiled patio and squirrels play in the spring and summer. A huge new supermarket ( half organic) just opened to the right of my house ( 2 minutes walk). My house guide that I send you one week ahead will recommend restaurants in this area. You will find a printed copy there too. To everything Brooklyn can offer, Bushwick and it's art scene is a ten minute ride or fifteen minutes walk, park slope, botanical garden and the Brooklyn museum are reachable in a 17 minutes shuttle train ride! Saraghina, peaches, George And Andre cafe are around the corner! All the wine bars five minutes walk. Yoga studio just opened far left corner Saraghina. An Italian new bar ' bar lunatico' with live music just opened one block up. I just added a 200Mbps speed internet wifi. I am adding a 500 mid speed mid May but as of now internet is fast. It's the fastest we can have in brooklyn. So it should help with getting better Netflix and a more even reception throughout. The subway has two lines the A express and the C lines around the corner that reach manhattan in 17 minutes, bus across the street gets you to fort Greene and Clinton hill in ten-15 minutes too. On Malcom X the express buss to Williamsburg will get you there in 20 and on the way to Bushwick in 7. I recommend Uber pool or X as they are sooo cheap. The javitz center is four stops away. It has opened the biggest concert hall in the USA. Also can be used for commercial shootings, I have had many blogs, fashion magazines and small crews only, after inquiry no instant booking please. I was one of the first hosts on airbnb Paris seven years ago. I enjoy the interaction with my lovely guests and so far I have been very lucky to host great guests from all over the world.
This landmark section of Bedstuy is called Stuyvisan heights and it has a lot of history and great cafes and restaurants. I especially love Saraghina s bakery, restaurant and wine bar. It is a multicultural multi ethnic and a jazz Neighborhood.
  • We found the apartment very homely, exactly what we wanted for our Brooklyn stay. Amy was extremely helpful, personable and friendly.

  • Amy was a great host giving lots of advices regarding the city and local stores. When we arrived she was offering us tea and a tasty cake. After that she showed us all the important things to know in the apartment. She has always been available when we had questions all over the week. Great host!

    Filip2015-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Amy was a very gracious host that met us as soon as we arrived and quickly showed us around her loft. The space was beautiful, very big, and looked just like it does on the site if not better. The loft is located in a very neat little neighborhood in Brooklyn with several things to do nearby. Amy was more than happy to provide some great recommendations which we took, great food and drink! Absolutely would go back, we had a great stay!

  • Absolutely charming apartment. One big room that feels (and is) very spacious, plus a deck. Wifi is fast! Amy and Monique were very helpful in getting me situated and checked in (despite my delayed flight). Would absolutely stay again next time I am in Brooklyn!

  • Amy welcomed us with coffee, sweets and tips and made us feel right at home. We really enjoyed her place, which was an oasis of rest in an otherwise hectic city. We recommend anyone to stay at her home which is beautifully decorated. Big thank you for an all round enjoyable stay!

  • I am grateful for my stay at Kent's place because I was able to book it last minute. Location is great, close to public transportation. The room is private and I was comfortable. Only problem I had, there was no hot water to take a shower :( Other than that, if you're looking for a quick place to stay for one night, and don't mind taking a cold shower, stay here.

Delightful exposed bricks studio apartment in a well tended building in Crown Heights, Downtown Brooklyn. 1 block from the LIRR, 2 blocks from the A & C trains. 1 block from B44 which takes you to Sheepshead Bay. 1 block from the B65 which takes you to Barclay's Center ( new home of the Brooklyn Nets) which is a 20 minute walk from the apartment. Quiet neighborhood surrounded by cafes and restaurants in addition to the Brooklyn Museum of Arts, Children’s Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn Botanical Garden and Brooklyn Central Library.
  • perfect place for a few days! Asha and her dad were very accommodating, letting us come in a little later then expected.

    Tim2012-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • John and Asha are very helpful and flexibel and they went a long way to make us feel comfortable. The apartment is cute and fresh, stocked with towels, linnen and breakfast. We also enjoyed the neighbourhood with close proximity to sevaral subway lines as well as Prospect park and Park Slope area.

    David2012-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Asha and John are the personification of consummate hosts and set the bar very high in every respect. From the initial booking, to checking out, no questions were left unanswered and it seemed nothing was too much to address, at any hour. The neighborhood is safe, the accommodation very well situated regarding bus/train transportation (for those so inclined, there are many wonderfully interesting sites within comfortable walking distance) but for us, the essence was the accommodation was not only comfortable, but IS what you see advertised. We highly recommend Asha and John. Many thanks to you both!

    Kevin2012-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Asha and John were warm, generous and helpful hosts. The studio was clean and comfortable, in a decent location for exploring Brooklyn or excursions into Manhattan. But the sofabed was kinda rough, and the wifi kinda rickety. Still, overall, a great value and a great experience. I would do it again.

    Henry2012-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • We would not hesitate to recommend John and Ashas apartment to other people. John was such a great host and we were so satisfied with our stay in his apartment. John was always available on the phone if we needed help with something or had any questions. He even told us at our arrival that we could call him if we got in any trouble and he`d be there to pick us up. The apartment is close to the subway that take you in to manhattan and there is nice areas nearby were you can go out to eat or shop. The apartment look just like the pictures. The bathroom is clean and the kitchen has all you need to prepare meals. If you want a nice apartment in brooklyn for a good price this is a really good place for you!

    Nina2013-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • John was amazing. He truly couldn't have been more accommodating and friendly and I want to recommend you stay here if you can. It's a good location and the place itself is lovely and homey inside.

    Richard2013-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • This studio really is cozy and inviting in a decent neighborhood. My husband and I spent a couple of nights at John/Asha's place and it was a great place to rest after a long day of venturing all over NYC. It's close to the subway station. It's also in a rowhouse section, which is a classic NYC experience! John was extremely welcoming and was a wonderful host. He offered to help with directions, etc. and offered to help with any questions. They even had some basic breakfast foods/snacks stored in the firdge for us! We forgot our towels, but they had clean towels we could use. My husband commented how he loved that everything smelled fresh in the studio. Lastly, Asha was great to correspond with all throughout and she was very helpful in navigating the city and any other questions we had. This was our first airbnb experience and it's probably doesn't get much better than this.

    Christine2012-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • Myself and my partner stayed at the property for 7 days in the first week of January and can only reiterate what has been said before. John and Asha are perfect hosts from the moment you book through to check out. The flat is exactly as described and a really nice place to stay (this is our first experience with airbnb and really wouldn’t want to stay in a hotel from now on), really liked the neighbourhood and felt safe walking around anytime of the day. Would recommend the place to anyone.

  • Alberto is awesome to work with. Great spot and he was a delight. I definitely recommend this for small to big groups.

    Joseph2017-05-13T00:00:00Z
  • Alberto was a great host, very responsive and helpful. He even let us check in a few hours early. The airbeds were incredibly comfortable. The communal space is large and perfect for large groups. It's not glamorous, but a good option for the price.

    Anna-Lee2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Alberto was kind enough to pick up my listing at the very last minute. He was very detailed with the check-in information and I had an easy time getting into the space. The pictures are a pretty accurate description of the space. There are 8 beds separated by partitions and curtains. Not much privacy if that's what you're looking for, but the air beds are very comfortable. All in all, my group of friends and I enjoyed our stay and will definitely be booking with Alberto again!

    Rachel2017-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • The experience was great. Alberto met us at the time of our arrival and reserved a parking spot. This worked great for a large group of friends and will be somewhere we will look to in the future.

    Andrew2016-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • Alberto is a great host, he was very accessible and accommodating of our needs. The bedrooms do not have real walls, but otherwise the place is as advertised.

  • The host was amazing he welcome us when we first arived giving us a walk through. The apartment was beyond clean. The area that the apartment was located was great with bars and restaurants within walking distance. I would rate the overall experience a 10/10 and would stay not hesitate to stay again.

  • This loft is perfectly situated in Williamsburg. It's within walking distance to fun restaurants and bars and it is possible to walk into Manhattan on the Williamsburg bridge. The rooms were a bit smaller than I had imagined, however it worked well for our group of girls on a bachelorette trip. I would not recommend if you're seeking high-end luxury but it can easily accommodate a large group.

Our neighborhood is a quiet residential area within East Williamsburg. • Our stay at Amia's apartment was awesome. Everything was as promised. Amia was easy to get a hold of, but I didn't really have to contact her because everything worked out perfectly. The apartment was clean; lots of windows (a little too sunny for me, but I like to sleep in); quiet neighbors. The subway was easy to get to and short walk to lots of bars and stores. The only thing that might bother some people is that the back bedroom had a lot of noise coming out of the radiator, but it kept us warm!

    Kathryn2012-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was very nice. Amia was accommodating and reliable. Great location just around the corner from the L train to Manhattan. Food highlights were Bushwick Pita Palace and Los Arcos.

    Michael2012-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • Amia's place was just delightful! Excellent location, clean, and spacious. The check-in process was really easy and her recommendations were great. I love the little grocery store across the street as well; kombucha for days.

    Sara2014-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Amia, thank you do much for your apartment! It was ok in staying in it, it's a very clean, sonny and quiet place.

    Miguel2014-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time in Williamsburg, the appartment was great and I recommand it. Only 5 stations from 1st street Manhattan so basically 10-15 minutes from center of New York. Didn't have the chance to meet with Amia but every time we had to contact her she was always quick to respond and sort things out for us. If we go back to NY, we will definitly ask Amia for her appartment again.

    Jeremy2013-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Me and my brother stayed here for 4 nights and we had a wonderful time. The apartment is spacious, so we didn't get under each others feet, clean and comfortable. Most importantly a subway stop which goes into Manhattan is right around the corner, opposite a great donut place. We were able to arrange flexible check-out which really helped for our late flight home on the last day. Amia was contactable before and during our stay. She also gave us a great list of places to try in the area. I would really recommend this apartment and staying in Williamsburg generally, if you don't want to stay in Manhattan. It has great links to Manhattan, but Williamsburg is a great place to explore itself.

    Eleanor2014-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Staying in Amia's apartment was really delicious. The house is located in a nice and easy neiborhood and it has completely satisfied my aspectations: big, full of light and clean. No bad surprise. Amia was always polite and precise, suddenly replying and satisfying all my questions and request about the house. Thank you. Worthed!

    Francesco2015-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • We were looking to experience Brooklyn as residents would, and Amia's place was perfect for this in a neighborhood with everything we were looking for! Within a short walk we found excellent bagels, pizza, shopping, the subway, great bars & pubs and plenty of culture. Nothing touristy here. We always felt safe in the apartment and in the neighborhood. As I expect in any urban area there is plenty of street noise and thin walls but this is probably the case at any apartment in the city. Was clean and pleasant and we would not hesitate to stay again. Thank you Amia!

Bedford-Stuyvesant, popularly known as Bed-Stuy (sounds like: Bed-Sty), is located in central Brooklyn. A neighborhood that boasts both brownstones and unkempt storefronts, generations-old Bed-Stuy residents share their streets with newcomers. I have been happily living in Bedstuy for ten years. It is a working class neighborhood in the middle of a rapid gentrification process. It is a neighborhood with a rich cultural legacy. Many famous hip hop artists, jazz musicians and filmmakers are from here. There are some great options for bars, restaurants and live music. It is close to neighborhoods such as Clinton Hill, Williamsburg and Fort Greene that are well known for shopping, dining, and night life. There is an organic supermarket and laundromat on the corner. Also a YMCA on the block.
  • The appartment is well situated in a quiet neighbourhood and is easily reached from JFK by train and is well served by subway lines. Everything is carefully planned and well explained in notes and instructions. We were very pleased and positivest surprised to find an evening snack purchased for us on our late arrival. The appartment it-self is airy and quite roomy and we didn't miss anything during our 10 days stay. I would NOT hesitate to recommend it to friends.

  • Our stay in Brooklyn was phenomenal. First Airbnb experience and first vacation to NYC; Christy left us with a very good impression of both. Great attention to detail. All amenities were tailored to the number in our party (4), the house guide, checkout lists, entry instructions and local guides were very relevant and easy to use. The location was very convenient for access to the subway system - providing that you're willing and able to walk a few blocks. Highly recommend.

    Phil2015-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • Our host Crystal was really hospitable and gracious. She was on hand to welcome my family even though we came in on a very early flight. She accommodated our request for an early check-in since there were no departing guest and her apartment is amazing. The finishing were high end and the bathroom experience was like having your personal spa. I would say that the pictures do not do the apartment justice, this apartment is really top of the line. Transportation was frequent and the neighbourhood streets clean and safe. I do hope to return to Crystals place the next time I am in NY. A 4-star experience on a 1-star budget. Excellent

    Catherine2014-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed the apartment, located half way, about 10 mn walk, from two subway stations in BedfordStuyvesant.

  • We loved our stay at Christy's apartment! It is even more beautiful than the photos. Super clean, great size, awesome location, everything and anything you could ask for. Christy was wonderful with communicating with us and made the stay very easy. I loved sitting out on the balcony in the evening. There are many restaurants within walking distance. Speedy Romeo's is one of my favorite places for dinner when I'm in Bed-Stuy. Ms Dahlia's Cafe is a short walk down Nostrand and has an incredible breakfast. I would without a doubt stay here again!

    kristi2016-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • It was very straight forward and everything was super organized. I can tell that she cares a lot about her apartment as well as her customer's airbnb experience. Christy communicates very well and is very fast at replying.

    Yusuke2015-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Christy's apartment. The apartment looks like on the provided pictures and has everything one needs for a nice stay at NYC (kitchen, big bathroom, tv, radio, kitchen equipment etc.). The neighbourhood is not the best one, but we still felt comfortable. We did not meet Christy, but she provided all information by email and printed documents in the apartment - it was very useful. Christy seems to be a very experienced host. We would definately stay there again!

    Karina2015-05-15T00:00:00Z

  • This is a warm and wonderful well cared for venue Can't say enough good about this home and owner. Be sure to ask her cousin Edwin for rides anywhere you don't care to walk but everything you might need is very close by Enjoy Carol

  • It's my second time at Evelyn's and I'd stay again in a heartbeat.

    Ingrid2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is a charming apartment in a brilliant location. We had lots of travel delays and were staying with our 9 month old son but as soon as we arrived we could relax immediately thanks to the thoughtful touches from Evelyn like food items, fluffy towels, toiletries etc. Can't recommend this place highly enough, hope to return very soon. Thanks Evelyn! X

  • We had a fantastic stay at Evelyn's 5 Star Apartment in Park Slope! The apartment is in a vibrant neighborhood- close to Prospect Park and many wonderful shops and restaurants. Accomodations at "Eveland" are spacious, clean and quiet and had everything we needed. Evelyn was gracious and warm- the perfect host! We'll be back soon!

  • Evelyn had the perfect setup for my family's visit. Everything was turn-key and she made herself available if we needed anything. The location is perfect (close to multiple train lines, prospect park, excellent variety of restaurants). A great opportunity to stay in one of the best neighborhoods in Brooklyn.

    Alex2012-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Evelyn is an excellent host. On making the reservation we were given all information about the apartment, how to get to and from the airport and all information about Brooklyn and the surrounding area. It is perfectly situated. We will definitely stay there when visiting NY again. On arrival we had bread, milk, breakfast cereal, coffee, tea and various other croceries ready for us to use.

    Frederick2015-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Everything went very well at Evelyn's place. She was there the moment we arrived and gave us all the information. A perfect location for our plans in NY and she even had left some nice things for a breakfast.

    Benoni2015-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • It was wonderful to stay with Evelyn in the gorgeous apartment. The space looks exactly as it is shown in the pictures, it is clean, spaceous and Evelyn thinks of everything. When we needed band-aid for our blisters they were there, which was so convenient to us. The location is awesome, I felt safe in the neighbourhood and the subway brings you to Manhattan really quickly. I will totally come back to Evelyn when I get back to New York again.

  • This is a fantastic apt, the skylights make the place very warm, cozy and just plain lovely. There is a wonderful café nearby on Greene Ave named PrimRose, I highly recommend it. The beds are comfortable, the bathroom lit with natural light and clean. The neighbourhood is quiet and safe, we slept extremely well. There are many stairs as it is the 3rd floor and there is no elevator. We didn't mind but this may be a point to consider for others with health or mobility issues. I highly recommend this apt for anyone wanting to stay in Brooklyn, the subway is just a couple blocks away for those who want to go into NYC but it is a 25 min train ride away so this spot is great for staying local. We loved it here as we attended TEDFest at the nearby St Ann's Warehouse in Dumbo.

    Katy2017-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • My aunt & I stayed at Tatiana's place for eleven nights and it was all we could of wished for. There are two subway stops within a few minutes walk of the apartment plus supermarkets & restaurants nearby as well. Lower Manhattan is 15 minutes away by subway while Midtown is about 35 minutes. Clinton Hill is a lovely area to base yourself in New York. Tatiana was always on hand to answer any questions we had. Highly recommend.

    Benjamin2014-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great area near Pratt Institute. Perfect place for an extended stay in Brooklyn, great food nearby, great host. Clean & comfortable.

    Kate2015-05-18T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very pleasant stay in Brooklyn in Tatiana's apartment on the second floor. The flat was clean, everything worked and we had a great time. I would definetely recommend the apartment and also the neighborhood.

    Pascal2014-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place and well organized and the location is perfect if you are planning to use the subway, 5 min walking to the subway entrance.

    Yaz2015-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • This is a two-bedroom apartment with a full kitchen and bath on the top floor of a renovated Clinton Hill brownstone. Skylights in three rooms and a tasteful contemporary decor give this home-away-from-home a happy ambiance. I stayed for a week to visit a new grandchild in the area. The apartment was a great pied-à-terre, allowing me to host various visiting family for a night or two and providing home-like overflow space for meals and conviviality.

    Alec2014-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • This place is very nice, clean, uncluttered, and modern in a very nice and quiet neighborhood. The apartment is just right for 3-4 people. Since this apartment is on the top floor, it tends to get a little too warm for my comfort but was easily fixed by opening the windows. Our hostess Tatiana was very helpful when I had questions or requests. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and would consider returning.

    Claudia2013-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Tatiana´s apartment was great. The apartment is exactly like described and what you see in the pictures. Tatiana was very welcoming and easy to talk to. If you need help with anything she does everything she can to help out. The neighborhood is very nice and quiet. To get around we used the subway which is a couple of minutes from the apartment. We would recommend Tatiana´s apartment to anyone who likes a quieter place to stay but is still able to get to Manhattan in a short time.

Single person studio available in the heart of Park Slope! Just one block from Prospect Park. Close to wonderful restaurants and bars. The apartment is about a five minute walk to the F G trains; about a 10 minute walk to the B Q 2 3. The building is very quiet and mostly occupied by young professionals. I am looking for a guest who will respect the place, keep it tidy and can be a quiet neighbor. Perfect getaway for someone who's looking for a quaint spot in a beautiful park of Brooklyn.
  • Brigette's place was super cute and charming. It's a very classic tiny NYC place, but she still manages to get a full couch, table and super comfy queen bed in there without it feeling cramped. Everything was clean, nicely prepared and easy to access. The location is amazing, close to the subways and a block from Prospect Park.

    Julia2017-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed Brigitte's apt. The place was clean, quaint, and perfectly located. The area is awesome! Lots of small cafes and restaurants. The Braclays center is close by and Prospect park, which is only a block away, is great for running, lounging, or even boating. Brigitte was great...she was welcoming and very flexible with my arrival and departure time: I recommend her place to anyone.

Big room with bright window in Brooklyn! Right off the Kingston-Throop stop on the C train. Apartment is right on Fulton Street so there's a lot of cafes, restaurants, fast food places, bars, delis, pharmacies, etc. around and we're just 20 minutes from Manhattan, Downtown Brooklyn, and Dumbo! Washer/dryer in the building. Central heating. (The cat in the photographs might be moving out April 1st) Cozy queen bed in a spacious room!
Right between Bed-Stuy and Crown Heights. This area is full of businesses and we live right off the train. Manhattan is just 20 minutes away.
  • Great Host, place and close to subway:)

    John2017-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • The host canceled this reservation 3 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

  • Lia's room is really convenient for traveler who are seeking for short term place to rest during trip or house hunting. It's super close to C train and there's a lot of good cafe around.

    Angel2017-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Lia's room was like a little oasis in Brooklyn. It was neat, clean and had positive vibes. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well. I like that there was a window in the room that let in cool breezes from the tree in the backyard. There are roommates, but they were helpful and courteous and you definitely get your privacy. The subway is literally a 2 minute walk which was very convenient, esp. because the neighborhood can be a little intimidating. Lia was a sweetheart and communicated very well before, during and after my trip. I believe she went above and beyond to make sure I had a good experience.

    Victoria2017-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • I loved my stay at Lia's. The room was bright and clean and her place is in the middle of everything. Hop on the train and you're in downtown Brooklyn in less than 10 minutes and in Manhattan in 20. There's a plethora of food choices in the area and a really great bodega on the corner that's open super late. There wasn't much interaction with the other residents of the apartment but they were nice enough. I won't hesitate to stay again!

Guests also enjoy a complimentary stocked mini fridge. Our apartment is located across from the Carroll Street subway station with both the F & G lines. 10 minutes from downtown Manhattan and within walking distance to the arts, local food, coffee shops, plenty of retail, bars, the Barclays Center & more.
  • This place was totally awesome! It felt just like home! The scented candles just made it feel so much like home. The place was beautiful! Also the fact that they had complimentary drinks for me is one of the sweetest things ever. For my first AirBNB experience, it's a 10 all around! I'm so happy to have met this beautiful family!

Welcome to our humble abode located on the border of Brooklyn's vibrant neighborhoods: Prospect Lefferts Gardens, Prospect Park South & Flatbush. Our home is 2 blocks from the best part of Prospect Park - where you can lounge by the lake, grab a bite at Smorgasburg, or paddle boat around Olmsted's Prospect Park. This studio apartment comfortably sleeps 2 people.
Our building is a classic prewar building - complete with herringbone hardwood floors. This studio apartment is located on the right side of the first floor of the building facing south towards the courtyard. Even though we are on the first floor - there are a few steps to walk up. Since we do live here, the closets are not accessible for our visitors. We have a dining table and lounge area in the living space and the TV has a chromecast if you'd like to relax and unwind after a day in New York. There's a window air-conditioning unit in the living space and a remote controller for it on the nightstand. Fresh towels are available in the bathroom, as well as, toiletries for your convenience. Espresso is available from the Nespresso - the pods are there for your use. Pour over coffee is set up as well. There is a great bodega at the corner, Brooklyn's Natural Deli, that serves fresh pressed juices & smoothies and has a variety of organic groceries for you during your stay. In addition, there are many fresh food markets around for produce, and the Parkside Farmer's Market is on Sundays at the Parkside entrance to Prospect Park.
Our faves: Parkside (great pizza & cocktails), Blessings cafe (adorable outdoor seating & weekday brunch!), Erv's (small funky cocktail bar), Nagle's Bagels, Cinnamon Girl (great place to grab food for a park picnic), Mangoseed (great brunch and dinner - caribbean food hotspot). Smorgasburg - located in Prospect Park near the boathouse on Sunday afternoons. Quintessential Brooklyn experience. Prospect Park - our home is close to the best parts of Prospect Park. Enter at the Parkside entrance and you'll immediately see the tranquil lake. Head up on the East side of the park and walk by the newly restored Audubon center and cafe, paddle boats, iconic Boathouse, and much more! You won't believe you're in NYC! The neighborhood is vibrant - we provide a sound machine - but if you're a very light sleeper this neighborhood may not be for you. It's New York! :)

  • Brittany's place was just as described /pictured: a lovely studio with comfy bed, sofa and well equipped kitchen and bath. We needed a late check-in and Brittany was very accomodating. Close to the subway, 24 hour grocery and Deli 1/2 block from her door. We had a car and found street parking no problem as long as the street cleaning times are noted. Would love to stay at Brittany's again.

This light filled art-studio is ideally suited for artists and working professional who seek extended stays in the Brooklyn Navy Yard neighborhood. Located adjacent to the Stiener Studios, enjoy the Fort Greene and Clinton Hill neighborhoods.
The studio has a small private bedroom with a queen bed, a studio/living area, with a second queen sized bed, a private bath and a modest kitchenette. The studio is in a secure area with private parking. This legal NY Airbnb space is part of a larger artist, live/work loft space. As a result I am selective in terms of who we host, so please share details of yourselves and your trip. Let me know your needs and I will do the most to make this a rememberable experience. The studio is just around the corner from Mast Brothers chocolates, the Brooklyn Coffee Rosters and fresh backed bread and sweets from Fresh Fanatic our organic grocery store. The space has a small fridge, microwave, hotplate and coffee machine, and a small selection of cookware, utensils, and eating/drinking-ware. The private bathroom consists of a granite shower, sink, and toilet. Wireless internet is also available as needed. As a requirement of the building management, I will ask that guests sign a liability waiver upon sign in.
In walking distance we have an organic supermarket (Fresh Fanatic), two reliable restaurants (El Porto; Mojitos), a coffee shop (Brooklyn Coffee Rosters), a specialty wine store, Mast Brothers Chocolates, and the Body by Brooklyn Body Spa. We are half a block from the Brooklyn Navy Yard, home to Steiner Studios and a host of small creative industries. There is also overnight street parking. Fort Greene is considered one of Brooklyn's prime neighborhoods. The apartment is walking distance to the beautiful Fort Greene Park, the Brooklyn Flea market and tons of restaurants, bars, and shopping. It is also a short walk to Pratt Institute, Atlantic Center Mall, Barclay Center, and the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), where you can catch film, theater, dance, music, and more. Adjacent to the Brooklyn Bridge, it is just a few short subway stops to Manhattan, and is close to other favorite 'hoods, including Park Slope, Carroll Gardens, and Brooklyn Heights.
  • Bradley's artist studio was perfect for me. As long as you don't require upscale accommodation and a bodega right outside your door it is great. Only about a 10 minute walk to the F line. The bed and shower were great. I liked how quiet it is there at night. A very unique Airbnb. I will stay again.

  • Bradley was a wonderful host for me and my parents and we would recomend his studio to everyone! From the first moment on, he did support us in every way and as a local he was very helpful with recomendations for city activities!

    Evita2017-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • I work in the Brooklyn Navy Yard but generally commute from Central New Jersey, daily. This summer I have a 4- week project at the Navy Yard and I was fortunate to find this hideaway that provided me a clean, convenient, comfortable space to sleep and do my prep work at night for the following day. If you need a base from which to pursue work-related ventures in the Brooklyn, Steiner Studios area, or want to be able to engage in urban explorations and activities around NYC, you are in walking distance to bus, Ferry, and subway conveyances and there is also parking if you are driving. Plus, it is the studio loft of an incredibly gifted artist who is a very accommodating, friendly and gracious host. Bradley., Thanks !!!

    Ed2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Cool space, but must be adventurous! Bradley And Natasha are gracious host who checked in with us often to make sure everything was cool. The space is definitely FUNKY! (Cool funky, not funky funky) But it's definitly NOT a hotel, if thats what you're looking for. Bed was comfortable, futon couch and a couple of chairs. All mismatched! The building itself is very industrial with many business on the floor. But there is a vineyard on the roof to drink at and enjoy the brilliant Manhattan skyline at sunset. Also near is the Kings County Distillery serving only their house made bourbons, ryes and MOONSHINE! All exceptional. I can tell you from experience. Convenient walking distance to DUMBO and all it has to offer. F train to NYC is about a 7 to 10 minute walk. I would say that a week to 10 days is about how long I would stay here. We had to stay for a month while waiting for our new apartment to be ready. It was a bit long to be in a place with no kitchen to speak of (only a toaster oven, microwave , hot plate, hot water kettle and a teeny tiny fridge) But if you are here to be out and about in Brooklyn for a few days or even a week, this is a great fun alternative to a more luxurious arrangement.

    Peter2017-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Great, trendy neighbourhood, artistic vibe. Bradley was super helpful and everything went super well! Recommended!

    paula2017-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • Setup of complex was a little complicated, place was kinda grungy, but I'd book again and the hosts were really nice. Location was somewhere between perfect/amazing and the price was decent.

    Cameron2017-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Bradley is a fantastic host, and his navy yard air bnb is super awesome and unique! Bradley went out of his way to make sure that I had everything I needed during my time in his space, and not only was he a great host, but we became genuine friends during the course of my visit. The space itself is a fantastic live/work space right within the navy yard, with a comfortable bed, and fully functioning en suite bathroom. If you're looking for a unique spot to live and work in Brooklyn, that's both secluded in its own way, and close to all the action then I definitely recommend Bradley's place!

  • We had a great time in NY. It was a nice place to stay in a safe neighbourhood. It is just 10 minutes with the metro to Manhattan. The appartment is clean and had everything we needed. If we go again to NY, we would stay at this place again.

  • We had a very pleasant stay at Vernon’s apartment. It has a good size, the kitchen was fully stocked and it was very easy to get to the nearest metro, and from there to Manhattan. The neighborhood was relatively quiet and there was a supermarket not far from the apartment – and small deli’es on every corner. We had some trouble with a lock that jammed to the bathroom door, but as the host lives beneath the apartment, we were able to get help right away. He promised to replace the lock, so hopefully it won’t happen to anyone else. We had a very pleasant stay and a great trip to NYC – would rent again!

  • Vernon on Greene was ideal. Out of the madness of Manhattan yet only 15 minutes by train to get there. Great location and friendly neighbourhood. A little noisey but it is a city, so expect sirens in the night etc but earplugs helped! Everything was available and nothing was too much trouble for Vernon who lived downstairs which was very handy for any questions/requests etc. Beds were extremely comfortable, so after a day exploring New York city, we slept very well in the lovely soft sheets! Have already recommended this apartment to others considering the benefits of the use of a kitchen and two bedrooms for a very economical price. Would DEFINITELY stay there again. Thanks Vernon and hope hurrican Sandy didn't cause you too much damage. Cheers, Anne, Ken, (Australia) Chris & Ron, from the UK.

  • First time user of AirBnB... but a huge fan. Found Vernon on Greene and loved the apartment via pictures. Arrived at the apartment and was happy that the apartment looked exactly like the pictures. Vernon was very accommodating and always available via text. The neighbourhood looked a little rough but the neighbours were actually welcoming and very nice to our little group of girls. Great apartment, host, and overall an amazing experience! Thanks Vernon and AirBnB!

  • We came from Hawaii on the 7am flight. Vernon responded quickly to any and all questions and even let us check in early! There was parking right in front, which was very convenient. Everything we needed was in the house. Plenty of New York guide books. The couch in the living room folded out to a bed which was helpful for our 3rd guest. We had plenty of towels, dishes, etc. The subway was a 5 min walk to J train. Vernon was easily accessible and really nice. It looks just like the photos online. We would stay there again for sure.

  • Vernon was really nice and relaxed host. It was easy communicate with him before and during our stay. When ever we had a question he answered fast. The neighbourhood felt safety and the apartment was really close to J-line metro. It takes about 10 min to get to Manhattan but it's good to remember that it takes a while to travel inside Manhattan too. And it takes a while to understand a NY metro system as it's a bit unorganised. Take the 7day card! For the price the location was great. :) The apartment was really cosy and as it was supposed to be. The beds were comfortable. :) The apartment was generally clean, but some improvment could be done under the bed etc. We recommend! :)

  • The Vernon On Greene is exactly how it looks in the photos but even better in person. Vernon's a great host — out of the way but there when and if you need him. The bedrooms are wonderful and Vernon knows how to decorate a space. The backyard patio — which we didn't use but saw, it gorgeous. Lovely well-take care of space. Oh, the beds! Gotta say: they're far better than most good hotels claim theirs to be. Pillows were perfect and the sheets were really nice. It felt boutique all through and through. It's a little out of the way from downtown Brooklyn, but it's 15 minutes via the J to NYC. A tip: use the car service number and read up on the informational book that Vernon provides — great choices on restaurants and how to get around. Thanks Vernon!

  • We had a very pleasant stay at Jason's apartment. The apartment was convenient, clean, spacy, and was what exactly described. Coffee, bottled water, and other condiments were included as well. Jason was very responsive and easy to communicate with. We're definitely coming back!

  • We had a great time staying at Amy's AirBnB in Park Slope. Close to lots of restaurants and shopping and about a 10 minute walk from the train. The place was nice and clean and it was enough space for the 4 of us. Amy was great with communication; very thorough and responded quickly to any questions we had.

    Kisha2016-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Amy was not on site during our stay but she was readily accessible by text.

  • The apartement is sparkling and very well decorated. It is well-equiped and located on a charming, quiet street. I slept very soundly - the bedroom is located at the back with a view of the garden and it is possible to open the windows. Amy was very considerate and responsive.

  • Amy was an exceptional hostess! She greeted us when we arrived, gave us a tour of the apartment. She suggested several restaurants in the area. After giving us a very warm welcome, she gave us our privacy which was really nice. The apartment was cozy and comfortable. It is in the heart of Park Slope near Prospect Park and all of the best things to do in Brooklyn. We enjoyed our getaway weekend so much that we didn't want to leave! We cannot recommend this apartment highly enough.

  • This is a great place if you have family in the neighborhood. The spacious apartment is on a quiet street. It is nice to have the room to spread out and feel at home. The host left ground coffee for us- a very nice touch.

  • My family and I really enjoyed our stay in this very nice apt. We came to visit family and wanted to be close to them and everything else. Only a few stops on the train from Manhattan, good local restaurants within just a few minutes walking. Even enjoyed the local street fair on 7th ave. Park Slope is a beautiful area, family oriented place. Staying in this apt. Makes you feel part of the neighborhood. I would stay here again.

    Ryan 2015-06-22T00:00:00Z

  • Heaven for people that want to relax and just be who they are. A great family, Ms B., Michael & Margaret (their beautiful dog). Location is perfect in the last remaining pocket of central Williamsburg that hasn't been, shall we say, "altered." (Although is altering fast so get there while you can!) Would love to live there. Kept extending my stay (it's my third review!)

Always lending a helping hand on the surrounding area and giving their knowledge of great bars, restaurants and other things to do. Wifi worked great Air conditioner worked great Shower and running water were great And our own set of keys with no troubles Flawless. Would happily stay again.

  • Completely lovely hosts!! Bryony, Michael and Margaret the dog! The room is big and airy and right next to the bathroom. Fresh towels and a warm welcome when we arrived. But most importantly, they are such nice people to stay with... Definitely recommended, and we would happily stay again! Thank you x

  • Our experience could not be any better! We felt like we were at home but much better as we were in the neighbourhood of our dreams (day life/night life). Perfect location. Very close to the metro station. Comfortable bed, air conditioner, clean bathroom, beatiful room, etc. The Host was very communicative and she was available for everything we wanted, before, during and after our stay. We could not meet her so much because we spent a lot of time out, but I must say that she and her friends are lovely. I highly recommend this place!

  • Joni and Carsten were very welcoming and always on hand to answer any questions, quickly responding and keeping us up to date. They provided lots of material to really help us understand our local surroundings, as well as what to see and where to go in Manhattan. The apartment is exactly as described and as we expected, clean and in easy walking distance to amenities & travel. Recommended.

    Nick2015-12-14T00:00:00Z
  • The owners were very friendly and helpfull. They ordered a taxi for us to go to the airport on our last day. There were also maps of the city in our apartment. The apartment was very clean and nice! It was a great experience to stay there. There's only one less positive thing: the apartment was more far away from Manhatten than we excepted. But: we would defenitely recommend this apartment to our friends and relatives!

    Ines2014-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great apartment with everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. As you'll see from the photos, it's furnushed with lots of personal touches which us much nicer than a bland hotel. The fact that it's in the basement wasn't a problem for us as we were out all day. The area is the real Brooklyn: a complete mix of people with shops etc to match. There are some great places to eat within a 15 minute walk and two subway stops nearby that will take you into Manhattan in about 20 minutes. Communication was excellent. Even though Joni and Carston live upstairs you are left in peace and all the information you need is in the apartment. Great hosts.

    Liz & Laurent2017-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay at Joni and Carsten's. The apartment was clean with a host of cool design quirks, and proved a good base to explore the city. The apartment doesn't benefit from a lot of natural light on a count of it being in the basement, but it was comfortable enough. Didn't get a chance to meet Carsten, but he was very prompt and accommodating - allowing us to check in early on the day we arrived.

    Josh2016-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • We were greeted kindly upon arrival by our host and the stay couldn't have been better :) The space is very quiet and private and with our hosts recommendations to local eateries and site seeing spots we had an amazing time! If I'm ever back in NY I know exactly where I'll be staying!

  • This was a great place for my husband and I to stay while visiting family. Everything was very clean and user friendly. More spacious then expected. Thanks for having us!

  • Very nice appartment that we really enjoyed staying in and could recommend to others. Has a great personal touch to it, very spacious, clean and well cared for; everything worked and was properly maintained. Pleasant Brooklyn street in otherwise decent to good neighborhood, with several options for travelling to Manhattan and other parts of Brooklyn and New York.

  • My friend and I stayed here for 11 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment is lovely and spacious and it had everything we needed throughout our trip. Joni and Carsten are great hosts and offered us assistance/guidance whenever we needed it. The apartment is in a great location near multiple subway lines and with lots to do, see, and eat nearby. We can't thank Joni and Carsten enough for making us feel at home during our trip.
